Path of Exile 3.29 Winners and Losers | Life Stacking and Breach Nerfed, Abyss and Legion Rise
The patch notes for Path of Exile 3.29 are as extensive as ever. This update not only introduces a fresh league mechanic but also makes deep adjustments to several core systems.
The changes in Curse of the All Flame League will have a significant impact on both build viability and farming strategies. Let us examine the main winners and losers from PoE 3.29.

Losers
Life Stacking
For a long time, life-stacking builds centred on Rathpith Globe have possessed formidable late-game power, serving as a major pathway for spell-based damage to push deep into endgame content.
Over recent leagues, the addition of several key unique items has steadily elevated the strength of this archetype, even extending it into a wider variety of builds.
Items such as The Apostate, The Grey Wind, and Foulborn Ghostwrithe all provide substantial damage or massive life pools within the life-stacking framework. In PoE 3.29, however, nearly all of these items have received nerfs:
- Rathpith Globe: the increased spell damage and increased spell critical strike chance per 100 life have both been lowered from 5% to 3%.
- The Grey Wind: the cap on maximum life converted to attack flat damage has been reduced from 12% to 10%.
- Foulborn Ghostwrithe: the proportion of maximum energy shield equal to your maximum life, after being cut from 50% to 40% in Patch 3.28, has now been further reduced to 35% in the current league.
Rathpith Globe builds can hardly obtain damage-increasing modifiers from other sources, so this change will directly result in a large loss of damage.
Although some builds that only use Rathpith Globe are affected to a lesser extent, overall the life-stacking system has taken a heavy blow in this update.
Breach
In Mirage League, Breach became one of the most powerful endgame farming mechanics, thanks to its extremely high monster density and rewarding returns. When combined with Mirage mechanic, the profits from Breach were nothing short of insane.
Curse of the All Flame League introduces multiple adjustments to Breach, with the core outcome being a marked reduction in monster density encountered within maps. The specific nerfs cover several aspects:
- The average number of Breach monster packs will be reduced overall.
- The small Atlas Tree nodes that granted 5% increased monster pack size for Breach have been changed to grant 5% increased rare monster quantity, thus losing their density bonus.
- The tier rating of crafted modifiers on gear from Genesis Tree has been lowered, meaning high-tier affixes appear less frequently.
- Equipment Genesis Tree Passive Points have been reduced by 4, shrinking the scope for customisation and leading to less desirable outcomes.
- The probability of generating additional items has been decreased, reducing total output.
- The notable passive that affected the chance of specific influence modifier types has been cut from 500% increased to 300% increased.
In light of all these factors, Breach in version 3.29 will see a substantial decline in both combat experience and reward generation.
Totems
Certain spell totem builds may perform at a similar level to last league, since many spell skills themselves have received buffs in this version. Nevertheless, when comparing totems with other casting methods, totem archetypes have suffered from multiple direct nerfs in PoE 3.29:
- Hierophant's Ritual of Awakening passive now provides 3% more damage per summoned totem, down from 5%.
- Spell Totem Support at level 20 has its less damage penalty increased from 40% to 50%.
- Ballista Totem Support at level 20 has its less damage penalty increased from 24% to 30%.
- The totem passive mastery option on the passive tree has been reduced from 60% to 40%.
- The critical strike scaling modifier on Shaman's Dominion notable passive has also been lowered.
Among these changes, Hierophant suffers the most noticeable impact because that class offers substantial totem placement speed bonuses and had previously become almost mandatory for totem builds.
Weakening Hierophant's dominant position is a reasonable balance direction in itself, yet the stacking of nerfs on the base totem support gems will inevitably reduce the overall strength of totem builds.
However, these builds remain viable; you simply need to invest more currency. You can buy PoE currency at IGGM to acquire the gear, support gems, and jewels required for your totem build.
Winners
Legion
Legion has received an unexpectedly powerful upgrade in this update. The changes focus mainly on the reward structure rather than the combat content.
The biggest highlight is that Incubators have been entirely removed, which greatly simplifies the process. In their place, a new exclusive reward type has been introduced: Vestigial Uniques.
Legion now adds a new currency item, Enshrouding Crystal, which allows you to enshroud a normal unique item. After that, you place the enshrouded item into Domain of Timeless Conflict and charge it by completing encounters there.
Once fully charged, you shatter the crystal to obtain a remnant unique item of the same type, which inherits one of the exclusive modifiers from the original unique.
This system carries a very high degree of randomness, and it might even produce unique items worth thousands of Divine Orbs, making Legion mechanic exceptionally attractive.
Abyss
Abyss has received a massive rework in PoE 3.29. The in-map Abyss mechanic will adopt a treatment similar to that of Path of Exile 2. Players no longer need to chase fissures across the entire map for meagre rewards.
In the new version, you will kill monsters on an Abyssal Pit to open a descent into a pit containing lightless monsters, which include various new monster types with fresh skills and mechanics.
On the reward side, most of the original content has been retained or improved. Not only are Abyss unique items still obtainable, but a new Abyss Pinnacle Boss has also been added, and it drops brand-new exclusive unique items.
Abyss Scarabs and Atlas tree nodes have been significantly buffed as well, all of which make Abyss one of the mainstream farming strategies in Curse of the All Flame League.
Scion
Scion has received new ascendancies for two consecutive leagues. Reliquarian Ascendancy has been adjusted in PoE 3.29, bringing substantial overall enhancements to the class.
The other addition is the new Luminary Ascendancy Class, which is tied to Mercenaries of Trarthus system. She is the only class that can permanently carry a mercenary and customise their gear, and her ascendancy passives unlock legendary equipment slots for the mercenary. This is expected to generate a large number of novel builds in the new version.
The above outlines the winners and losers in Path of Exile 3.29. Be sure to steer clear of the nerfed aspects, as their performance will certainly fall far short of what they were in Mirage League.

Diablo 4 Season 14 Lunatic Warlock Build is the Top Performer | Thousands of Projectiles Per Second, Trillions in Damage
How to maximize damage and have the most fun with Warlock in Diablo 4 Season 14? Is this a headache for you after your Warlock build was nerfed? Actually, there's no need to give up on this class too early, because the current Warlock headgear build remains incredibly strong, repeatedly appearing on the leaderboards.
Next, let's examine why this Lunatic Warlock build, which has been extensively tested in actual gameplay, has reached the top.
Core Mechanics
The core of this Lunatic Warlock build's dominance in Diablo 4 Season 14 lies in a unique helm called Cage of Madness.
Its effect is incredibly simple and straightforward: just activate Evade, and your character enters a super Lunatic state, unleashing a swarm of smaller Lunatics that deal massive damage.
Crucially, even if this helmet isn't Mythic quality, it still provides a damage bonus of over 400%, effectively increasing your damage by more than five times.
Imagine how much this helmet amplifies Lunatic Warlock's damage; it would make Lunatic Warlock incredibly powerful regardless of the skill used.

Furthermore, this effect applies to basic skills. Combined with Paingorger's Gauntlets and Dirge of Odium, Lunatic Warlock's damage would become even more outrageous.
Meanwhile, it's easy to stack Wrath and Dominance resources on Paragon board. With enough resources, Lunatic Warlock's damage output is naturally abundant.
In actual gameplay in Season 14, you'll see yourself firing countless projectiles per second, with damage numbers on the screen frequently reaching trillions.
Survival isn't difficult for Lunatic Warlock either, because Tortured Wretch skill helps - each summoned tortured demon absorbs 30% of your maximum life in damage, and you can store up to five at a time, effectively giving you a 150% health shield, making your defense completely solid.
Key Gear Selection
Helmet
The previously mentioned Cage of Madness helmet requires not only a high Command Fallen skill level but also sufficient Maximum Resource to maximize Lunatic Warlock's overall damage.
Chest Armor
If you're aiming for high-level The Pit runs, you can use Fleshwrit Carapace to increase Sigil Skill damage. Since Hellwyrm summoned by Sigil deals approximately 60% of the damage of a small Lunatic Warlock, Sigil Damage bonus is equivalent to gaining almost half of your total output.
If you're just farming, you can switch to a chest armor with Aspect of Heavenly Strength, which directly provides 40% damage reduction to Lunatic Warlock.
Gloves
Paingorger's Gauntlets are essential because their effect relies on non-basic skills to trigger, and Lunatic Warlock's summons and Hellwyrms can continuously trigger them for you.
Pants
Tibault's Will, besides increasing damage, also increases Lunatic Warlock's maximum energy by 50, making skill casting smoother.
Boots
You can roll Sadistic Aspect on your boots to accelerate Wrath Regeneration, or utilize Fortified Drain bug in Diablo 4 Season 14 to instantly restore full Fortify, which is also very useful.
Rings
Besides the essential Dirge of Odium, you can equip your Lunatic Warlock with a ring with Aspect of Calamity. Combined with Sigil of Subversion to curse monsters, your critical strike chance can easily reach a top level, leaving the rest of your gear with critical strike affixes.
The Key to Stat Amplification
Furthermore, the damage of this Lunatic Warlock build can increase exponentially, and the key lies in Maximum Resource stat.
Our core ring, Dirge of Odium, grants 1% damage per point of Wrath. With 214 points of Wrath, that's a 3.14x damage multiplier.
Upgrading Dirge of Odium to Mythic quality increases this by another 30%, bringing it to 3.74x.
Even more powerful is its synergy with Unique Amulet and Seed of Horazon, amplifying the actual benefit of each point of Maximum Resource by 8% to 9%.
Therefore, prioritize stacking Maximum Resource on your helmet, pants, ring, and amulet slots. The benefits will be far greater than simply stacking skill levels.
Skill Tree Strategy
For Skill Tree, remember to choose Dominance over Lifetime Damage for your core damage skill, Command Fallen, as summons quickly self-destruct, resulting in a very short-lived buff.
For the defensive skill Tortured Wretch, prioritize Cost Reduction and Duration. Combined with Punching Bag, this maximizes damage absorption and provides explosive damage output.
Sigil of Summons is used to summon Hellwyrms. Its skill level does not affect Hellwyrm damage, so there's no need to invest more points in it.
If you're using Sigil of Subversion to push higher levels, you must take Seekers, as it helps you solve the problem of grouping monsters.
Metamorphosis is used to maintain permanent coverage of Demonform, allowing Lunatic Warlock to gain a damage bonus based on maximum health.
Practical Operation
Before using Lunatic Warlock in Diablo 4, players should first ensure their Demonform is active.
Once in combat, you need to use Sigil of Subversion for damage reduction. When close to monsters, cast Tortured Wretch once or twice to ensure Lunatic Warlock's safety, and summon a few minor demons to gain Unstoppable status.
Then cast Sigil of Summons, and then start spamming Command Fallen.
Players must also remember to refresh Sigil of Subversion as soon as it's off cooldown; this is crucial for continuously pulling mobs in.
Additionally, during intense battles, frequently check if Demonform has disappeared because of damage from Lunatic Warlock. If it has, immediately recast Metamorphosis, otherwise your damage will drop significantly.
In short, maintaining Lunatic Warlock form, managing your resources effectively, and using abilities at the right time are key to dominating the battlefield in Diablo 4 Season 14!

Just Started Playing? These SpiritVale Beginner Tips Will Help You Level Faster and Avoid Early Mistakes
SpiritVale is an online game that blends classic MMORPG core gameplay with modern action elements, launching in Early Access on July 15th. Whether you're a newcomer to this type of loot-collecting and leveling game or not, this guide will provide practical experience to help you quickly familiarize yourself with the game's economic system, progression paths, and equipment combinations.
City Core NPCs & Basic Functions
Upon entering SpiritVale, you'll find yourself in the main city, Nearis. This city is home to many functional NPCs; understanding their roles will double your progress.

Attribute and Skill Reset - Waybinder
Waybinder is located near Waypoint in the city center. Talking to him will reset your Attribute Points or Skill Points. However, note that skill resets aren't limited to him. Open the skill panel, and you can directly right-click to cancel allocated skill points, freely adjusting your build. This flexibility allows you to test different builds without any cost.
Card Removal - Weaver
Cards are one of the most important progression systems in SpiritVale. Monster-dropped cards can be inserted into equipment to gain special bonuses. When you need to adjust your equipment, you can remove the inserted cards from Weaver. The removal cost increases with each card: 25,000 gold coins for the first card, 30,000 gold coins for the second, and an estimated 35,000 gold coins for the third. In the early game when coins are scarce, carefully consider whether removing cards from low-level equipment is worthwhile.
Equipment Enhancement - Blacksmith
Blacksmith is an NPC crucial for refining and upgrading equipment. You can use dropped materials to enhance your equipment from +0 to +10 through the Blacksmith, thereby improving your character's attributes to suit the game's fast-paced leveling process that requires a lot of monster grinding.
Equipment enhancement not only requires dropped materials but also consumes a significant amount of gold. For players who want to quickly upgrade their equipment, the gold obtained from farming and auction house trading is clearly insufficient. At this point, to buy SpiritVale Gold from IGGM.com might be a wise choice to accelerate equipment upgrades, giving you a significant head start in the early game.
Box of Origins & Grimoire System
Uses of Box of Origins
In SpiritVale, defeating monsters will drop Boxes of Origins, which, when opened, grant Artifacts. Artifacts are powerful items specifically equipped in certain slots (Relics, Gems, Scrolls, Runes), providing important passive bonuses and unlocking full set effects. Currently, there are over 33 artifact sets in the game for players to freely combine and customize.
Crafting & Equipping Grimoires
These Artifacts are the key materials for crafting Grimoires. Grimoires are independent equipment slots, and each character can equip up to 3 at a time. Each Grimoire provides a unique passive effect and is class-specific.
Grimire crafting NPCs for each profession are scattered throughout the city - for example, Rogue NPC is near North Exit, and Scout NPC is towards South Exit.
Additionally, you can sell excess Artifacts through Action House. Artifacts you don't need might be incredibly valuable to other professions, making this the best way to accumulate gold early on.
Attribute Points & Equipment Selection
Attribute System Explained
SpiritVale's attribute system comprises six core attributes, which directly affect your derived attributes (such as attack power, defense, maximum health, hit chance, and casting speed).
- STR: Increases melee attack power, slightly increases ranged attack power.
- VIT: Increases HP, defense, and stun resistance.
- DEX: Increases hit chance, casting speed (reduces casting time), ranged weapon attack power, slightly increases melee and magic attack power, increases attack speed, and improves poison and blindness resistance.
- AGI: Increases evasion rate and attack speed. Gain 1 point of attack speed for every 30 points of AGI.
- INT: Increases magic attack power, MP, and maximum defense; improves silence and burn resistance.
- LUK: Increases critical hit rate and critical hit damage; slightly increases physical and magical attack power.
Each initial class has a different allocation of base attribute points to suit its intended role.
How to Determine Primary Attribute
For example, with Scout, open the skill panel and check the description of core skills like Arrow Shower. It will state that it's ranged and based on attack power, not magic attack power. This indicates that Scout's primary attribute is DEX, not STR or INT. Primary attributes vary between classes; please always refer to the skill descriptions to determine your primary attribute.
Equipment Attribute Priority by Slot
- Weapon: Main Attribute > Attack Power/Magic Attack Power > Percentage Attack Power
- Chest: Main Attribute > HP > Physical Defense/Magic Defense
- Head: Main Attribute > HP > Attack Power/Magic Attack Power
- Pants: Main Attribute > HP > Health Regeneration/Mana Regeneration
- Boots: Movement Speed > Main Attribute > Attack Speed
- Accessory: Main Attribute > HP > Attack Power/Magic Attack Power
Experience Gain and Leveling Strategies
Map Selection & Weapon Planning
Opening Waypoint map allows you to view monster levels, item drops, and drop rates for each area. The recommended leveling strategy is to farm maps 5-10 levels higher than your current level. However, a more important principle is to prioritize finding maps that drop weapons suitable for your build.
For example, Scout's Storm Burst Crossbow can reset Arrow Shower's cooldown, making it an extremely powerful early-game upgrade weapon. Searching for "Storm Burst" on Waypoint map will highlight the map that drops this weapon - Mystic Lake.
Team Experience Bonus
Click the magnifying glass icon in the team interface of SpiritVale to view the average level of your current team. The system will prompt you to ensure the level difference within the team is within a reasonable range to maintain balanced experience gain. Try to join teams with a level difference of 10-20 levels from your own to ensure efficient leveling.
Pet System
Players have a chance to obtain pets from the first map. Pets can help with loot pickups. While not a game-changer, they can provide some assistance when server latency is high.
Useful Tips
Mana Management
Mana shortage is a common problem in the early game of SpiritVale. The following items can effectively alleviate this:
- Feng Clipper: Provides +10 MP recovery
- Night Lord Card: Restores MP on hit but reduces maximum MP
- Bat Card: Also provides +10 MP recovery
If you have a Bat Card, you can replace Feng Clipper to free up accessory slots for damage-boosting equipment.
Skill Slot Expansion
Each character starts with a fixed number of usable skills. To increase the number of Action Skill slots available in combat, visit the tavern in the city.
Card Slots & Equipment
In the early game, players are often unfamiliar with the equipment system. Hovering your mouse over a card will highlight the available equipment slots and parts for that card, saving you the trouble of searching for guides.
While SpiritVale employs a relatively simple art style, its progression system, equipment combinations, and build freedom are quite rich. From familiarizing yourself with the functional NPCs in Nearis to strategically planning attributes, equipment, and Grimoire, and then developing an upgrade path around your core weapon, each step directly impacts your early game efficiency.
Mastering these basic mechanics will allow you to quickly build your character, gain an early advantage in your Nearis adventure, and lay a solid foundation for later, more challenging challenges.

ARC Raiders Expedition 4 Departure Window Bug Being Resolved | No Need to Worry about the Game's Future Just Yet!
While there haven't been any major updates to ARC Raiders recently, meaning there are no complex new mechanics to master, players still need to stay alert for changes caused by routine updates or bugs.
For instance, a registration issue recently cropped up, likely due to the impending end of Expedition 4 window and the developers' recent focus on tackling cheaters.
Here, we'll cover the details of this bug and its fix, and analyze the game's potential trajectory leading up to the major October update.

What is Expedition 4 window departure bug?
This window began on July 7 and concludes the next Monday, July 21. Players who hit specific damage output targets during this period earn permanent rewards that become available after the next reset.
However, a bug surfaced a couple of days ago: if a player hit the 100,000 damage target, the system would sometimes automatically register them for a departure without their input.
While many players might have intended to sign up anyway, others might have had different plans, such as simply testing their maximum damage output without intending to commit to a full expedition.
Has the bug been fixed?
To address this, ARC Raiders development team rolled out a fix to cancel these automatic registrations, processing the changes in batches starting at 10:00 AM (UK time) on July 17. Consequently, the issue may already be resolved for some players.
That said, the fix arrived quite late, and there is a chance some players might have been missed before the weekend. If you want your registration cancelled but haven't seen the change take effect, it is best to contact the development team directly to resolve the issue.
Even if you weren't affected by the bug because you haven't hit the target yet, don't let your guard down; if you do plan to join a Departure, time is running out to rack up that required damage!
To deal enough damage within the allotted time, you need to choose the right enemy types and combat zones, as well as the appropriate weaponry.
If your preferred strategy involves using ARC Assessors to lure in swarms of smaller enemies for a concentrated takedown, then a good supply of grenades paired with high-fire-rate ARC Raiders items, such as the Bobcat, makes for an ideal setup.
Once enemies have gathered, start by throwing a grenade or detonating a pre-planted mine to deal widespread damage; then, while ensuring your own safety, use Bobcat's high rate of fire to take out any stragglers.
However, keep in mind that high-fire-rate SMGs like Bobcat often suffer from inherently poor accuracy, so it is best to equip reliable attachments to boost its overall effectiveness.
PvE mode is unlikely to be added in the short term
Although ARC Raiders is a PvPvE game, its unique world-building has led players to call for a standalone PvE mode ever since its launch.
In the Chinese closed beta version released in June, ARC Raiders introduced Rebellion Incident as a special new game mode. While not strictly a pure PvE mode, it offers significant autonomy, meaning you can decide for yourself whether to engage in PvP chaos.
Consequently, many Western players are eager for the development team to bring this feature to the global servers, or introduce something similar, to fill the gap before the next major update.
Unfortunately, this hope is likely to go unfulfilled, at least in the short term, because The Finals, another first-person shooter from the same development team, has recently added a PvE mode.
While the gameplay differs, the core mechanics are very similar; launching PvE modes for both games in quick succession would inevitably split the player base and hurt the performance of The Finals.
Speaking of Rebellion Incident, the mode has also drawn some global server players to try out the Chinese version. Since the Chinese version is still in beta, the mode has its rough edges, but it serves as a fun diversion while waiting for the official update on global servers.
Don't panic over the drop in player numbers
The lack of updates has caused a sharp decline in ARC Raiders' concurrent player count. Even if you think you can tide yourself over until October by just doing daily tasks, you might worry the game will die out before then.
However, even without changes to the update schedule, it is perfectly normal for a major live-service game to experience high player attrition after its post-launch peak.
Rather than a sign of decline, this trend reflects a natural, inevitable pattern. Take Helldivers 2, a game in a similar situation to ARC Raiders, as an example: although its current player count has dropped significantly from its peak, the numbers still surge whenever a new update is released.
Therefore, the key issue isn't the decline in concurrent players, but rather whether the remaining core player base is cohesive enough to quickly return once ARC Raiders launches new updates.
The Finals, which comes from the same development team, saw its peak concurrent player count hit over 200,000, only to lose nearly 79% of its players within three months, a much more drastic trend than what ARC Raiders has experienced.
However, following the recent launch of a new season and an ARC Raiders crossover, The Finals saw a substantial rebound in player numbers.
So, provided the subsequent content is of high quality, ARC Raiders can still achieve a genuine resurgence, at least, that is the current expectation.
We hope the information shared here proves useful for your future ARC Raiders experience. Thank you for reading.

Torchlight Infinite SS13 Afterlight Early-Farming Strategies Tier List | Best Seasonal Mechanics Ranked by Profitability
Torchlight Infinite SS13 Afterlight has begun, and with it comes yet another farming option. As the core mechanic of this season, Afterlight naturally ranks among the most efficient for loot acquisition, but we should not overlook the other seasonal systems either.
Many mechanics remain highly competitive during the early phase of the season, though their returns tend to taper off later. If you have already entered the endgame and are looking for direction in your farming routine, the following ranking of seasonal mechanics by profitability should serve as a useful reference.

Tier S
Afterlight
Afterlight mechanic essentially revolves around escort missions. Your charge moves at a fairly brisk pace, and along the way, waves of enemies continuously assault your protected target.
The more foes you eliminate, the faster the cart advances. Hence, as long as you can keep the area around the cart clear of monsters, it will maintain a high travel speed.
Loot drops intermittently during the journey, and you may also head straight to the endpoint and wait for the final reward distribution. Various random events will trigger throughout the process to boost your gains.
This mechanic favours builds that deal high damage and possess wide aoe capabilities; insufficient clear speed will cause a noticeable drop in efficiency.
Lunaria
Lunaria has also been incorporated into the core game, and the official team has accelerated and simplified its systems to make it more accessible for crafting.
Legendary Lunar Strings will now drop from the very beginning, and each is guaranteed to carry at least one orange affix. You can directly trade for Lunar Strings you need, and any extras can be sold to other players.
Lunaria also features its own independent talent tree, allowing you to focus on enhancing the drop rates of Memories tied to specific heroes.
Since Lunaria essentially functions as a mechanic that increases monster density within maps, it is very likely to become one of the most popular farming choices in SS13 once again.
Cube
Cube is an exceptionally strong early-season strategy. Once you enter a map, you will encounter various Desire Incarnations, and killing them drops Desire Crystals. At the end of the map, you can spend these crystals at Cube to draw rewards.
If you feel lucky, you may also opt for Greed mode, which offers a 50/50 gamble: either your reward doubles or you lose everything.
The effectiveness of Cube strategies heavily relies on Pactspirits; only high-level, Cube-exclusive Pactspirits can keep this mechanic competitive into the mid-to-late game. That said, it remains perfectly viable without them during the early stages.
Blacksail
Blacksail is a very fast-paced mechanic that demands almost no investment in map costs or talent points, so it is often paired with other content. Due to its brisk rhythm, it is most frequently combined with Nightmare.
Its primary rewards revolve around Hero Memory-related resources, such as Memory Threads and hero Memories themselves. The ceiling for returns is not exceptionally high, but the income is quite stable. It performs remarkably well during the first week of each season, though its profitability gradually declines after one or two weeks.
Once your build slightly outscales the bosses, the mechanic becomes smooth and enjoyable, offering a low-intensity, relaxing experience. Blacksail Pactspirits are certainly beneficial, but they are by no means essential for turning a profit.
Sandlord
Sandlord is highly profitable in the early season because its main reward is Sandalwood Incense. Early on, individual incense items can sell for hundreds or even thousands of Torchlight Infinite Flame Elementium, generating significant income.
Sandlord will not deliver top-tier endgame returns, yet it carries virtually no upfront cost, and the vast majority of its rewards are easily obtainable. Even without the exclusive drop-related Pactspirit, your earnings remain largely unaffected, so you can attach this strategy to almost any mapping routine.
Mistville
Mistville is a highly distinctive mechanic with a touch of rogue-like elements. Each run essentially plays out like a board game, where you must progress and complete small stage objectives to move forward.
You possess a Sanity meter that depletes each turn, and throughout the run you will acquire various items that influence your Sanity and the direction of your turns. The drop pet for this mechanic is not especially critical; going without it does not significantly reduce your returns.
Rewards include Activation Mediums, which enable skill automation. These are extremely valuable early in the season, and certain pieces with good rolls maintain high worth throughout the entire season.
Tier A
Frozen Canvas
Frozen Canvas primarily rewards alternative support gems for skills, and you need to roll favourable support gems to realise a profit.
However, if you run this strategy frequently enough, it is nearly impossible not to turn a profit, because the investment cost is minimal and the margin is extremely high. What it truly demands is your time.
Outlaw
Outlaw spawns a massive number of monsters, and these monsters come with substantial bonuses to rarity and quantity.
Thanks to the sheer volume of foes, its loot output is astonishing. It can easily fill your entire screen with Flame Elementium, exclusive drops, and even extremely rare Memories.
Outlaw mechanic requires a fairly high clear speed to operate efficiently, and pets also play a critical role in endgame performance. If you can access Time Arcade relatively early in the season, it also serves as a decent early-season strategy.
Vorax
Vorax resembles Outlaw in terms of rewards: you use cards to customise the number of monsters and the bonuses they grant. The combination of cards determines your payout, so this mechanic has a bit of complexity, but the returns are absolutely impressive.
The exclusive legendary Pactspirit for Vorax is important for ensuring consistent profitability. Yet even without it, you can still generate good income, because items related to Vorax crafting are likely to remain in constant demand among high-end players.
Tier B
Arcana
Arcana requires you to collect cards, each of which triggers a specific event within the map. After gathering eight cards, you enter an arcane mini-game and ultimately fight a battle for rewards.
Arcana is not an easy mechanic to pick up; you need to study its workings carefully. If your build falls short, it can be quite dangerous, and the mechanic is also fairly dependent on Pactspirits.
Overwhelm
Overwhelm, in simple terms, tasks you with killing as many monsters as possible within a timed map. After completing one layer, you have the chance to proceed to the next layer for more rewards, stacking up to four layers.
Overwhelm offers not only exclusive rewards like Ethereal Prism but also a large quantity of high-value currency, such as Torchlight Infinite Flame Elementium and Memories.
This strategy exhibits considerable volatility, especially when you underinvest. At the same time, it relies heavily on Key of Overrealm; you almost must have it to make the strategy significantly effective, making it a late-game endeavour.
Dark Surge
Dark Surge is completely unviable until you pour in a very high level of investment; it is by no means a free-to-play-friendly strategy. Nevertheless, if you are interested in it and do not mind the cost of acquiring the relevant pets, its output can be substantial.
Dark Surge is not a good early-season choice; it leans more toward the mid-to-late game and is typically run in Profane Time or Deep Space.
Tier C
Aeterna
Aeterna plays similarly to Delve mechanic from Path of Exile, with rewards growing richer as you go deeper.
This is a very challenging mechanic; profits remain modest before you reach the profound depths, which in turn demand a fairly high-end build. That said, Pactspirits for this strategy are not mandatory - even a level-1 pet can bring a considerable boost to your earnings.
Clockwork Ballet
Clockwork Ballet is the premier source of compasses. If you are willing to invest, it can be considered a top-tier strategy, but you will need substantial DPS.
Furthermore, you require two different legendary drop-related Pactspirits to make this mechanic a particularly powerful mapping strategy, so it is not very newcomer-friendly.
Nightmare
Nightmare used to be an excellent early-farming choice, offering a wide variety of rewards. However, in Season 13, Dream Talking drops have been removed, so it no longer holds that advantage.
The above concludes the profitability ranking for each mechanic in Torchlight Infinite SS13 Afterlight during the early league phase. Mechanics ranked lower do not necessarily yield poor returns; rather, they may simply require greater investment to shine.

How is the 2026 World Cup Craze Secretly Building Hype for EA FC 27 September Launch?
As the final of the 2026 World Cup approaches, football fever this summer has reached a fever pitch.
Simultaneously, discussions surrounding EA FC series, the world's most popular virtual football game, are intensifying, particularly regarding the upcoming FUT 27, set to launch this September.
Despite widespread skepticism within the community regarding FC 27, it is undeniable that the World Cup has served as a form of free publicity for the game.
Even if you have grown disillusioned with the series, witnessing real-world matches inevitably sparks a desire to replicate that thrilling experience within the game.
You might wonder, however: since it is FUT 26, featuring The World's Game Update, that is directly tied to the World Cup, how does the tournament generate hype for the yet-to-be-released FIFA 27? Let us unravel the intricate connections behind this phenomenon.

A strategic alignment of timing
Whether during its era of close collaboration with FIFA or since striking out on its own starting with FIFA 24, EA FC series has consistently followed a release schedule: pre-orders open in mid-to-late July, followed by the official launch of the new title in September.
Most games ramp up promotional efforts around the time pre-orders begin, and FUT 27 is no exception; this window happens to overlap significantly with the 2026 World Cup schedule.
Although the game no longer holds the official FIFA license, nearly three decades of past collaboration have inextricably linked the two brands. Consequently, both FIFA 26 and 27 are reaping the benefits of the heightened attention generated by the World Cup craze.
This is likely because the bulk of the World Cup schedule falls between May and July. Since FIFA series has historically released new titles annually, it aligned its promotional window with this period long ago to capitalize on the tournament's boost every four years.
Even if FIFA were to object to this piggybacking on the event's popularity, the timing overlap is not a deliberate ploy by EA Sports FC, but rather a legacy of FIFA era.
Rather than altering the schedule just to avoid the appearance of capitalizing on the event, EA sees no reason to pass up such a valuable, free promotional opportunity.
Thus, the massive influx of attention generated by the 2026 World Cup is subtly yet steadily translating into increased visibility for FC 27.
Whenever an iconic moment occurs on the pitch or a new star bursts onto the scene, players on gaming forums often speculate about how these events might shape FUT 27.
A reliable way to make amends
Competition loses its meaning without winners and losers; while hundreds of teams may enter the tournament, only one national squad gets to hoist the World Cup trophy. Consequently, every World Cup leaves countless fans heartbroken when their teams are eliminated.
Take this year, for instance: if you were a Portugal supporter, you might have been deeply disappointed that they failed to reach the quarter-finals.
However, a few months later in FC 27, you can take matters into your own hands and guide your favorite team or player to the pinnacle of their career.
Admittedly, this has no impact on the real world, but it offers a form of emotional compensation, creating a unique resonance between real-life matches and the virtual game world.
The star power effect
Whenever a new FUT title is released, the choice of cover star generates significant buzz; the spotlight usually falls on globally renowned icons or rising talents who have made a splash in recent years.
The World Cup attracts a far broader audience than individual league competitions. This means that if FUT 27 cover star delivers a standout performance at the 2026 World Cup, it creates a powerful promotional impact.
While the cover stars for the various FC 27 editions haven't been announced yet, top contenders like Cristiano Ronaldo, Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappé, and Ousmane Dembélé all command immense attention during the World Cup.
Beyond established superstars, there is another category of players: those who were previously unknown but suddenly capture the spotlight during the World Cup, such as Vozinha, the goalkeeper for Cape Verde.
You might never have heard of him, or even known about Cape Verde, before the tournament, but the 40-plus-year-old Vozinha transformed his life this summer through his brilliant performance and indomitable competitive spirit.
It is highly likely that FIFA 27 will feature cards or events centered around him, inevitably attracting fans who follow Vozinha, even those who have never played FC series before.
App-specific push notification mechanisms
If you are a die-hard user of video or social media platforms, you have likely noticed that these apps frequently push new posts or videos aligned with the topics you browse most often.
Consequently, even if your primary interest is the 2026 World Cup, underlying connections might trigger recommendations for FIFA 27 content while you are checking match schedules.
If you can't resist clicking on these notifications, congratulations, you will likely receive them even more frequently. If you are open to learning more about the game, you might eventually take the initiative to find out how to acquire and play it.
Summary
FIFA 27 might not be the most anticipated game of 2026, after all, the highly awaited GTA 6 is also launching in November, but thanks to the World Cup, it stands to gain the most from free promotional exposure.
Although details regarding FC 27's new features have surfaced via leaks, such fragmented information usually only captures the attention of existing fans and pales in comparison to the massive impact of the World Cup.
If the World Cup has inspired you to jump into FUT 27 this September and experience the joy of building your own team, why not pre-order FC 27 coins at IGGM right now?
This way, even as a newcomer, you can unlock top-tier players faster than others and assemble a star-studded squad to make up for any disappointments from the 2026 World Cup!
