FAQs About Borderlands 4 Items
Q: Why Are Borderlands 4 Items So Important To Players?
A: Obviously, Borderlands 4 items are the collective name for all available resources in the game, including weapons, shields, gear, class mods, relics, consumables, and so on - basically, everything you do in the game is tied to them.
Borderlands 4's core loop revolves around the loot hunt, where players must constantly search for powerful weapons and gear to enhance their character builds and take on increasingly challenging challenges. More importantly, by finding these rare and powerful items and customizing their characters through the all-new Licensed Parts system and Ordnance Slot, players can deeply personalize and refine their playstyle, resulting in a more engaging gaming experience.
Q: What Item Types Are Available In Borderlands 4?
A: Borderlands 4 offers players six main types of equipment, with different manufacturers offering different weapon types:
- Guns: Pistols, Submachine Guns, Assault Rifles, Shotguns, Sniper Rifles
- Ordnance: Heavy Weapons and Grenades
- Shields
- Armor
- Class Mods
- Repkits
In addition, the game includes a new Licensed Parts system for weapons, combining manufacturer characteristics into a single weapon. Items range in rarity from Common to Legendary. Legendary weapons are the rarest and most powerful, typically found as boss drops or in specific locations. Items are color-coded by rarity:
- Common (white)
- Uncommon (green)
- Rare (blue)
- Epic (purple)
- Legendary (orange)
Q: How To Farm Legendary Gear In Borderlands 4?
A: Of all the guns and gear in Borderlands 4, Legendary weapons have the most insane and powerful effects. However, these items are also predictably rare, and players will likely not be able to obtain Legendary items unless they've invested significant time in gear farming or have exceptional luck. Regardless, if you want to maximize your chances of obtaining Legendary gear, you can try the following methods:
- Playing on Hard Mode: In Hard Mode, enemies' loot drop rate increases, but this also increases their attack power and damage. After all, the risk and reward go hand in hand.
- Farming Bosses: Bosses have a much higher chance of dropping Legendary items than regular enemies. What's more, Borderlands 4 players can use Moxxi's Encore Machines to continuously reset bosses. Simply pay a certain amount of cash to the machine, then return to Boss Arena to challenge them again.
- Ripper Drill Sites: Ripper Drill Sites are excellent locations for farming Legendary items in Borderlands 4, as enemies there have a much higher chance of dropping high-level gear than other locations.
- Buy on IGGM: Of course, the easiest way is to buy Borderlands 4 gear directly from a secure store for a small fee, such as IGGM! This helps you avoid most of the hassles and enjoy the game without any hassle!

Borderlands 4 Bounty Pack 4 Desert Dreams Vault Card Rewards: Infinite God Rolls, No More Brainless Grinding!
Borderlands 4 Bounty Pack 4: Murders and Acquisitions launched on July 30th alongside Version 1.9 update, bringing a brand-new storyline, dynamic combat mechanics, and the highly anticipated Vault Card 4: Desert Dreams! The wasteland is about to get even cooler, and even deadier.
Whether you want to equip new legendary weapons or dress up your Vault Hunter with a stylish desert-themed look, the fourth Vault Card offers a wealth of rewards designed to enhance your adventure on the planet Kairos. Ready to start your adventure in your new skin?

Desert Dreams Vault Card Overview
First, please note that Vault Card 4 is available both as part of Borderlands 4's Deluxe and Super Deluxe Editions, and Bounty Pack Bundle, and can also be purchased separately as a standalone DLC for $5.99 USD. This is very friendly to players who didn't initially subscribe to the premium version.
Getting back to the main point, Vault Card, as a persistent battle pass system, is designed to reward your playstyle without forcing you into tedious, repetitive grinding. You can access it directly through Vault Card tab in ECHO menu and progress at your own pace, without worrying about time limits or reward expiration.
Once acquired, the card tracks your overall experience points. As you explore Kairos, defeat enemies, and complete story missions, your regular experience points simultaneously charge the active Vault Card progress bar.
Vault Card Rewards
As we mentioned before, unlike Borderlands 4 Bounty Pack 4, which focuses on entirely new story content, Vault Card 4 allows players to earn new desert-themed rewards through gameplay. Vault Card includes 24 cosmetic items and 4 pieces of equipment with reconfigurable stats!
Legendary Items
As the highlight of this Vault Card event, these four legendary items are (each requiring 10 tickets to unlock):
- Divided Glow - Order Assault Rifle
- Eradication - Vladof Assault Rifle
- Stealth & Seek - Maliwan Sniper Rifle
- Pressure Kettle - Daedalus Grenade Ordnance
When you first unlock a legendary item, it comes with fixed base parts. However, subsequent redemptions will generate random parts, allowing for unprecedented depth of build customization.
The core feature of these unique weapons, however, lies in their reconfigurable attributes: players can directly and repeatedly adjust the weapon's attribute modifiers, element types, and weapon parts through Vault Card system until they achieve their desired god roll for a specific character build.
It's worth noting that these legendary items cover a wide range of combat characters and crafting attributes, designed to suit diverse combat styles.
1. Divided Glow
- Manufacturer: Order
Features Order's signature technology, explosive salvos released through charging. It synergizes exceptionally well with charge-up burst builds, high area-of-effect (AoE) splash damage configurations, and a skill tree centered around Order gear.
2. Eradication
- Manufacturer: Vladof
Designed for Vault Hunters focused on extremely high rate of fire, sustained suppression, and maximizing DPS. It's a top-tier sustained-fire weapon choice for builds that rely on high attack speed, ammo regeneration, or hit-based status effects.
3. Stealth & Seek
- Manufacturer: Maliwan
Sharpshooters seeking precise strikes will be captivated by Stealth & Seek, a Maliwan Sniper Rifle built specifically for ranged elemental suppression. This gun utilizes Maliwan's top-tier elemental technology, allowing for flexible switching between different elemental damage types to inflict high amounts of continuous status damage. It can also accurately strike enemy weak points from a safe distance, dealing massive critical damage.
4. Pressure Kettle
- Manufacturer: Daedalus
Built around Daedalus's focus on functionality and tactical control. This legendary throwable offers powerful crowd control and excellent area-of-effect control, making it a perfect complement to grenade-based builds and tactical deployment gameplay.
Cosmetic Items
In addition to powerful weapons, Desert Dreams Vault Card brings 24 exclusive cosmetic items designed to give your Vault Hunter and gear a unique desert style. Cosmetic customization is the core appeal of Vault Card system; players can use earned tickets to redeem various cosmetic items.
- 4 Vault Hunter Heads - 10 Tickets
- 4 Vault Hunter Skins usable by all Vault Hunters - 9 Tickets
- 5 Weapon Skins - 8 Tickets
- 5 Vehicle Skins - 6 Tickets
- 4 ECHO-4 Drone Skins - 6 Tickets
- 2 ECHO-4 Attachments - 10 Tickets
Fortunately, all options can be unlocked in any order, so you have complete freedom to prioritize acquiring your favorite gear or cosmetic items to showcase your achievements in the wasteland.
How to get more Vault Card Tickets?
Vault Card progression system in Borderlands 4 is similar to character leveling, entirely dependent on how much XP you acquire. While exploring Kairos, defeating enemies, and completing quests, you'll gain regular XP and simultaneously advance your Vault Card!
As your Vault Card level increases, you'll also earn exclusive Vault Card Tickets, the primary currency for unlocking exclusive cosmetic items and powerful legendary gear in a completely non-linear fashion.
To speed up your progress, you can quickly acquire these valuable tickets by participating in daily and weekly challenges. Daily missions offer rapidly rotating objectives, perfect for everyday gameplay; while weekly challenges require more effort but offer generous experience rewards. Your Vault Card level progression is entirely under your control, with no time limits or expired rewards!
Is Vault Card 4 worth it?
Since Vault Card 4 is released as a standalone card pack, priced at $5.99, it's comparable in price to Bounty Pack 4: Murders and Acquisitions. Many players are likely hesitant about whether it's a worthwhile investment.
Of course, if you already own Deluxe Edition, Super Deluxe Edition, or Bounty Pack Bundle, you can acquire Vault Card without additional payment; the activation process is easy and convenient, making it an added bonus.
However, for players considering getting Vault Card separately, it ultimately depends on whether you prioritize character cosmetic enhancements or story expansion content.
For hardcore gamers who enjoy endgame gameplay and gear customization, Desert Dreams Vault Card offers immense value. Players can directly reset the attributes of specific weapons, significantly reducing the frustration of randomness often encountered when farming for ideal weapon attachments.
Furthermore, by continuously exchanging for new weapons until the optimal synergy is achieved for a specific character build, players gain a clear and reliable path to power-up.
In addition, given that Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode effectively improves gear collection efficiency, high-level players can quickly add these weapons to their arsenal and put them to use.
In contrast, for casual players who prioritize story missions and vast world exploration rather than fine-tuning gear stats, the appeal of Vault Card 4 itself may be relatively limited.
Because Vault Card focuses on gear acquisition and cosmetic customization, it doesn't include new questlines or map areas. Therefore, if you're looking for story-driven exploration, investing in the accompanying Murders and Acquisitions DLC will obviously yield more immediate enjoyment.
However, Vault Card system is permanently valid, meaning even casual players don't need to worry about missing out on rewards due to time constraints. They can naturally unlock various content through intermittent play over months or even years.
Whether you're chasing the god roll for legendary gear or simply want to collect all the cosmetic accessories to complete your Vault Hunter's look, Borderlands 4 Vault Card 4 offers a rewarding and stress-free system that continuously rewards your time and effort. Return to Kairos now, activate your new Vault Card, and start collecting these stylish desert-themed rewards!
Borderlands 4 Bounty Pack 4 Drops on July 30th: New Legendaries & Pearlescent Loot, and Every Boss You Must Farm
Players, the development team officially revealed a wealth of information about Borderlands 4 Bounty Pack 4: Murders and Acquisitions during the livestream yesterday. If you've just finished your adventure in Carcadia Burn, you'll soon be delving into a challenging mediation quest.
We'll bring together all the confirmed details of Bounty Pack 4 from the live stream - including release dates, quest mechanics, and every legendary item to hunt - to give you a comprehensive overview of Murders and Acquisitions.
Release Date
Bounty Pack 4 will be available for play on July 30, 2026, along with Version 1.9.
However, this Bounty Pack is sold separately in two parts: the narrative expansion Murders and Acquisitions (the main story content) and Vault Card 4 (a cosmetic and equipment booster pack).
Although players can choose one of the two options, unlocking both together often results in a more complete gaming experience.

Story Background
Your mission will take place in a new area called Toxic Scowl, a desert canyon corroded by industrial waste and acidic dust - where you'll be drawn into the infighting between two Ripper factions.
The Flock advocates peaceful coexistence and attempts to establish a commune in this wasteland, while The Blasphemers are a group of warmongers who believe only violence ensures survival.
Your employer, Levaine, hopes you can find a way to balance things out, but in Borderlands 4, balance often means drawing both sides' fire.
Additionally, you must first encounter Levaine in Carcadia Burn during the main storyline and complete the relevant pre-mission dialogue before Bounty Pack 4 mission will appear on the map.
Mission Mechanics
Unlike typical side quests, this story mission is replayable and features a built-in branching choice system.
Every dialogue choice you make in Borderlands 4 Bounty Pack 4 will not only rewrite subsequent NPC dialogue but also directly affect the intensity of combat you encounter, allies or obstacles appearing in certain areas, and the support forces available for the final boss fight. A faction might even provide artillery cover at a crucial moment!
All of this means that to experience the full storyline of Murderers and Acquisitions and reap the various rewards, you might indeed need to replay the mission repeatedly.
New Boss Fight Experience
The livestream also revealed some new bosses you might encounter in Bounty Pack 4, including a final boss and three brand-new mini-bosses scattered throughout various outposts in Toxic Scowl.
The final boss's identity is yet to be named, but based on the development team's description, we can imagine the threat this colossal creation, combining mechanical and biological features, will pose to players.
The new mini-bosses each drop their own loot pools, so if you want to collect all the new gear, you must visit them one by one.
New Loot
The most enticing aspect of this DLC for most players is undoubtedly the equipment. The livestream confirmed the following seven high-rarity Borderlands 4 items, one of which is Pearlescent, and the other six are Legendary.
Pearlescent Weapon
PRISM - A sniper rifle crafted by Jakobs. As a Pearlescent Weapon, it is expected to have a unique bullet deflection trajectory or elemental switching mechanism, so even though the specific stats weren't revealed in the livestream, it's enough to excite sniper players.
Legendary Weapons (Six Items)
- Silver Sliver: Daedalus Pistol.
- Overconsumption: Tediore Pistol.
- Plump Bob: Ripper Shotgun.
- Hydrowerks: Torgue Shield.
- Oxidation: Vladof Recovery Kit.
- Loiter Sploiter: Torgue Heavy Weapon.
All the above equipment can only be obtained by defeating new bosses in Murderers and Acquisitions or completing specific quest steps in the DLC; they will not appear in the world loot pool.
Vault Card 4
If you unlock Vault Card 4 simultaneously, you will gain access to a separate upgrade path, increasing your card level by earning experience, defeating enemies, and completing daily or weekly challenges.
It includes:
- 24 desert-themed cosmetics: including Vault Hunters skins, weapon charms, ECHO themes, etc.
And four Legendary-tier pieces of equipment, unique in that they allow you to reset attribute modifiers, letting you repeatedly refine them to achieve your desired bonuses. These four are:
- Divided Glow: Order Assault Rifle.
- Eradication: Vladof Assault Rifle.
- Stealth & Seek: Maliwan Sniper Rifle.
- Pressure Kettle: Daedalus Grenade.
The higher your card level, the greater the chance of obtaining these items, and new cosmetics will be unlocked with each level up.
First-Time Completion Rewards
Regardless of which story route you choose in Borderlands 4 Bounty Pack 4, completing the entire story for the first time will automatically reward you with three souvenirs.
You'll receive a universal skin for all Vault Hunters - a style reminiscent of Toxic Scowl's wasteland aesthetic.
A new vehicle with appearance and performance tailored to your mission theme, and ECHO-4 drone skins, giving your sidekick a war-themed makeover!
These are guaranteed rewards for first-time completions, not random drops on the map, which may further fuel players' already high expectations.
Future Updates
In addition to revealing key content for Borderlands 4 Bounty Pack 4, the livestream also included three previews of future updates.
These previews confirm that Story Pack 2 will be named FL4K and the Last Resort, and is expected to launch on September 10, 2026.
On the same day Story Pack 2 launches, the brand-new playable Vault Hunter: Loveless, the Hacker will also officially debut, joining the fray with its unique skill mechanics.
Finally, Bounty Pack 5 will also release on the same day, though details are not yet available, but it's clearly a continuation of the DLC plan.
With less than a week until July 30th, you can now clear out your inventory, adjust your skills, and prepare for the harsh environment of Toxic Scowl in Borderlands 4 Bounty Pack 4!
