In-game, one of the two strikers must be set as a False 9 responsible for dropping deep to receive the ball; this draws the opposing center-backs out of position, creating space behind them for teammates to exploit.

CAM continues to play as a Shadow Striker, intelligently spotting the gap created when False 9 drops deep and quickly cutting into the striker's position, executing a coordinated interchange of movement.

Combining this variation with specific manual controls can double your attacking potency. For example, use L1/LB combined with the directional stick to trigger a teammate's forward run, or use R1/RB to call a teammate closer for a short pass.

Which variation should you choose?

If you are focused on climbing the ranks in Division Rivals or competing in Champions mode in FIFA 27, the high-pressure environment favors Variation 1.
