About Ashes of Creation

Ashes of Creation is a brand new fantasy MMORPG that officially launched its Early Access phase on December 11, 2025, but currently has no fixed end date. Although the game is currently in Early Access and has many bugs and balance adjustments, our team will monitor patch updates for AoC to ensure that all gold, items, and power leveling services are delivered in accordance with the latest game rules.

The game is set in the ancient world of Verra, where each character is rooted in a pre-apocalyptic world. Players will settle in this uncivilized land as an explorer, exploring, trading, building, and making the world take shape.

What makes it different from many other MMORPGs is its unique node system. The game’s basic node system means that almost the entire world is built by the player’s choices and actions! Every player’s experience will be different, as each server will have its own unique story and characters based on the player’s choices.

As players gather resources, build settlements, and complete quests in specific areas, these locations will grow from simple camps to bustling cities, constantly unlocking new quests, merchants, and even dungeons. But if an area is neglected, it may fall into disrepair or slowly disappear from the world, permanently changing its landscape and the playable content for players.

Verra world, with this node system at its core, gives players a more realistic and immersive gaming experience, encouraging players to collaborate and compete as they progress through the game.

Ashes of Creation Beginner Gold Farming Guide | These Simple Methods Can Fund Your Entire Leveling Process

Ashes of Creation Beginner Gold Farming Guide | These Simple Methods Can Fund Your Entire Leveling Process

Ashes of Creation has launched a new round of testing, attracting new players. As an MMO, how to make money is obviously a major concern for many players, because without gold, you'll be stuck whether leveling up or upgrading equipment.

The following gold-making suggestions are primarily aimed at all newcomers, helping you accumulate wealth during leveling to upgrade your equipment. These methods are not ranked in any particular order, and they are suitable for players at different stages and with different preferences, but you're sure to find the best starting point for yourself.

Ashes of Creation Beginner Gold Farming Guide | These Simple Methods Can Fund Your Entire Leveling Process

Transportation And Trade

The first method is utilizing crates and caravans. Any transportation-related way of making money can be quite rewarding.

To craft crates, you need to talk to market commodity vendors, who are usually located in villages or towns. These vendors sell Commodity Certificates, which you can trade with Sanctus Scrips or tokens earned by completing specific Active Buy Orders. These certificates can be obtained by submitting free orders after mining or gathering materials.

Crafting crates is essentially gathering. Simply place the gathered materials into Construction Crate benches to craft them. It's recommended not to craft crates of quality lower than Uncommon. Uncommon quality crates have lower profits but also the lowest risk because they consume fewer materials. Rare and Heroic quality crates, on the other hand, offer significantly higher profits.

Generally, the farther you transport the crates from their crafting location, the more profit you'll make. So you can experiment with transporting from different locations.

Crate transport relies on mules. A mule can carry a maximum of two crates, and your character can carry one more, for a total of three crates. Once you've accumulated enough gold, you can upgrade to Caravans, allowing you to transport even more goods. While the risk is higher, the potential profits are also much greater.

Emblem Farming

The second method is emblem farming. This is more friendly to mid-to-late game players, but beginners can learn about it in advance to prepare for the future.

  • Befallen Forge: Killing monsters here will reward you with Glittering Metal Strands.
  • Carphin: Killing monsters here will reward you with Carphin Emblems.
  • Citadel of the Steel Bloom: Killing monsters such as bears or raiders will reward you with Steelbloom Emblems.

You can go to Citadel of the Steel Bloom at level 18 to farm Steelbloom Emblems. The recommended level for Carphin and Befallen Forge is around level 23.

These badges are quite valuable on the market, with varying values across servers. Steelbloom Emblems can sell for 80 silver to 1 Ashes of Creation gold. If you farm 10 at a time, you'll earn 8-10 gold, while Carphin Emblems are even more valuable.

Meanwhile, during farming, you might also obtain common equipment or recipes around level 20, which can be sold for additional income.

Gathering And Selling

The third method is gathering and selling rare+ materials. Even with only a skilled pickaxe and no gathering-quality equipment, you might still obtain legendary materials, and this depends heavily on luck.

You can sell all rare+ materials, especially when you're short on funds. Use the earnings to trade for better Artisan Sets to increase your harvest quantity and quality. Prioritize upgrading your pickaxe, shirt, Miner's Skivvies, and belt.

Note that selling materials on the market isn't instant. You need to set a reasonable value to ensure quick sales, and otherwise, you might have to wait or even relist at a loss.

Glint Farming

The fourth method is Glint farming. If you don't want to use Glint to craft crates (crafting market crates requires 8 Glint Dust), you can farm Glint directly and sell it.

If you're a low-level player, you can go to Oakenbane Keep and kill the 3-star monsters there, and they drop a lot of Glint.

In fact, any 3-star monster will drop a significant amount of Glowing Glint. Additionally, Carphins, the grand dungeons, and the bears in Steel Bloom are all good places to get a lot of Glint. You can combine this with other farming methods to improve farming efficiency.

Sport Fishing

The fifth method is sport fishing, which has two variations, both with some risk. For beginners, Freshwater Fishing is a good option, and you can do it in safe zones, but you'll earn less gold. Saltwater Fishing is usually done in PvP areas, and players might attack you to steal your fish, but saltwater fish sell for much more.

Fishing requires bait, which you can make through cooking. Saltwater Chum requires more Unprocessed Fish to make because it yields a higher reward. Freshwater Chum, on the other hand, costs much less.

Additional Tips

Here's an additional tip: market flipping. This requires some initial capital, but it's incredibly fun.

Since each town and village has its own market, some players don't want to transport their goods to more bustling towns to sell, opting instead to sell them locally. In this case, you can trade these goods and then transport them to settlements with higher demand and more active markets to sell.

Of course, this requires some initial capital and a good understanding of market trends. But once it gets going, it can be quite profitable.

These are some ways for beginners to farm gold in Ashes of Creation. These methods aren't isolated, and you can combine them or simply choose one you prefer.

Ashes of Creation 8 Archetypes Explained | How Do They Make up The 64 Classes?

Ashes of Creation 8 Archetypes Explained | How Do They Make up The 64 Classes?

Ashes of Creation is a very ambitious MMO, especially in its classes. Players have a wide variety of classes to choose from, but this raises the question: how to choose?

The following analysis of Ashes of Creation only provides a general overview of the characteristics of each class archetype and does not discuss their powers. You need to experience it yourself to understand which one suits you best.

Ashes of Creation 8 Archetypes Explained | How Do They Make up The 64 Classes?

Archetype

The most unique aspect of Ashes of Creation's class system is that it divides classes into eight archetypes:

  • Tank
  • Summoner
  • Rogue
  • Ranger
  • Mage
  • Fighter
  • Cleric
  • Bard

When creating a character, you will choose one of these as your main class archetype, and this choice is permanent.

However, you will also can choose a secondary class archetype, which will collectively determine your final class. The secondary class archetype can be changed later. Therefore, your class can be changed. Of course, you can also choose a secondary archetype that matches the primary archetype. The eight primary archetypes combined with the eight secondary archetypes create 64 unique classes.

Choosing a secondary archetype doesn't immediately grant you entirely new active skills, but some of your existing skills will gain new Augments.

Archetypes are not restricted by race or gender, and any archetype can use any weapon type. The following descriptions focus primarily on the characteristics of each archetype rather than each class.

Summoner

  • Enchanter
  • Necromancer
  • Wild Blade
  • Spellmancer
  • Beastmaster
  • Shadowmancer
  • Conjurer
  • Brood Warden

Summoner boasts a very diverse skill set, making it capable of doing almost anything, but not excelling at anything. Summoners can handle various situations, serving as DPS, off-tank, or off-healer.

Core Mechanics

Summoners have three different pets, only one can be active at a time:

  • Spirit Guardian (Tank)
  • Striker (DPS)
  • Mystic (Healer)

Each summon has unique skills and passive effects, and you can precisely control your pet through the pet command bar. Commands include follow, stay, stand by, attack, and move to a designated location.

Summoner's class resource is Essence, which is consumed when pets use special skills. Essence is generated through weapon combo finishers or pet attacks. For balance, when you dismiss a pet or your pet is killed, you gain a stacking debuff that lasts for 60 seconds, each stack reducing your pet's healing and damage by 20%.

Fighter

  • Bladedancer
  • Highsword
  • Weapon Master
  • Spellsword
  • Hunter
  • Shadowblade
  • Bladecaller
  • Dreadnought

Fighters are traditional melee characters who can unleash devastating physical damage in close-quarters combat. They can inflict bleeding, damage over time (DoT), or reduce a target's healing received. Additionally, they possess high mobility and excellent sustain, making Fighters even more powerful in prolonged battles.

Core Mechanics

Fighters require Momentum, which is accumulated during combat by dealing damage and performing weapon combo finishing moves. Higher momentum accumulates faster. It provides additional buffs, the specific effects of which depend on your current combat form, which can be considered as three stances:

  • Form of Ferocity: Provides an attack speed bonus based on momentum (up to 15%).
  • Form of Fluidity: Provides evasion and crippling resistance based on momentum (up to 15% and 25% respectively).
  • Form of Solidity: Provides a movement speed bonus based on momentum (up to 20%).

Each form also alters the effects of core abilities, inflicting different status effects on enemies, such as bleeding, sway, and imbalance.

Tank

  • Argent
  • Paladin
  • Knight
  • Spellshield
  • Warden
  • Nightshield
  • Keeper
  • Guardian

Tank's role needs little introduction; it specializes in pure damage mitigation while also helping teammates absorb damage and draw enemy attention, making it indispensable in both PvP and PvE.

Core Mechanics

Tank's class resource is Courage, primarily accumulated and consumed through weapon combo finishers and specific skills. Tank weapon combo finishers automatically apply Staggered debuff, making the target more susceptible to crowd control effects. Tanks also possess a naturally high threat generation ability.

Mage

  • Sorcerer
  • Acolyte
  • Battle Mage
  • Archwizard
  • Spellhunter
  • Shadow Caster
  • Warlock
  • Spellstone

Mages focus on ranged magic damage output and also possess Blink teleportation  skill. Mages can inflict various types of damage, such as frost, fire, lightning, and even arcane.

Core Mechanics

The core of a Mage is Elemental Empowerment. You are empowered by the last element you use, each element providing different effects:

  • Fire Empowerment: Finishing moves apply Burning DoT.
  • Frost Empowerment: Finishing moves deal additional frost damage and apply Chilled (slow). If the target is already Chilled, it is frozen (immobilized), preparing for Shatter effect.
  • Lightning Empowerment: Finishing moves deal additional lightning damage and apply Volatile debuff to three nearby enemies, reducing their magic resistance by 15%.

Rogue

  • Charlatan
  • Cultist
  • Duelist
  • Nightspell
  • Predator
  • Assassin
  • Shadow Lord
  • Shadow Guardian

Rogue is a typical high-attack, low-defense assassin class. It possesses a wealth of tools for dealing rapid damage, incapacitating enemies, and escaping quickly, along with numerous mobility skills.

Core Mechanics

Rogue's most unique ability is true invisibility. However, you will be slightly visible if you are directly in the direction of an enemy's line of sight. Therefore, this class encourages attacks from the flanks. Your movement speed is reduced by 20% while in stealth. Using an attack skill or taking damage equal to 5% of your maximum health will break stealth, requiring you to be at least 15 meters away from an enemy or have a line of sight obstruction to re-enter stealth.

Rogue's class resource is Advantage, which enhances various skills like a charge. Advantage can be gained through various means, including entering stealth.

Ranger

  • Bowsinger
  • Soulbow
  • Strider
  • Scion
  • Hawkeye
  • Scout
  • Falconer
  • Sentinel

Ranger is a ranged physical character, skilled with a bow and arrow. They not only deal high damage but also inflict negative effects on enemies.

Core Mechanics

Rogue's class resource is Focus. The more Focus you store, the higher your damage output (up to 15%). Focus is gained over time through weapon combo finishers and passives. Rangers specialize in Hunts and Marks, which provide both buffs and debuffs.

Bard

  • Minstrel
  • Soul Weaver
  • Tellsword
  • Magician
  • Song Warden
  • Trickster
  • Songcaller
  • Siren

Bard is a truly versatile Archetype. This support class provides speed, control, damage, shields, and self-healing, while also offering near-infinite sustain for themselves and their allies. Therefore, Bards are also very popular, and if we ignore the influence of professions, this might be the easiest class to earn Ashes of Creation gold.

Core Mechanics

Bards provide various aura buffs to nearby teammates through Melodies. These melodies do not stack, so when there are multiple bards on the team, coordination is essential in choosing different melodies. These buffs can provide teammates with healing, mana regeneration, or increased damage, among other things.

Cleric

  • Scryer
  • High Priest
  • Templar
  • Oracle
  • Protector
  • Shadow Disciple
  • Shaman
  • Apostle

Last but equally important, Cleric is the primary healer class in the game, masters of life and death. In a world with limited self-healing capabilities, clerics are vital to any team, especially in endgame content.

Core Mechanics

Cleric's core choices lie in Divine Infusion and Essence Infusion skill trees. Essence Infusion allows you to use Divine Power instead of skill charges, while Divine Infusion allows you to use Divine Power to instantly cast skills. Divine Power is primarily gained through healing and dealing damage.

The more Divine Power you store, the higher your critical strike healing chance (up to 10%).

Whether you're a new or experienced player, hopefully this information will be helpful. Ultimately, determining the best class for you requires hands-on experience.
