WoW Classic 20th Anniversary Edition Phase 5 officially opens on July 10, 2025 at 3:00 PM PDT. Now, the war clarion call has been sounded, and all players need to participate and help your faction open Gates of Ahn’Qiraj!
Ahn’Qiraj War Effort
This is a server-wide challenge before the two raids in Phase 5, testing the dedication and teamwork of each guild. Both Horde and Alliance players need to participate in War Effort and hand in a certain amount of resources and crafting materials to contribute to their faction through their own profession skills.

Scepter Of The Shifting Sands Quest Chain
Only the first player on each server to complete the final quest of Scepter of the Shifting Sands questline: Scarab Gong, will receive the coveted Black Qiraji Resonating Crystal mount, the ultimate symbol of prestige in WoW Classic.

10 Hour War
Once War Effort Supplies target number is reached, there will be a 5-day pause before the event can resume in Silithus. After the pause period, the first player to ring Scarab Gong will start 10 Hour War for the entire realm.
During the event, all players who have completed Scepter of the Shifting Sands questline will be able to ring Scarab Gong and receive Black Qiraji Resonating Crystal. After the 10 Hour War ends, players will no longer be able to obtain this mount, and with it, Ahn’Qiraj raids will be open to everyone on the server.
Ahn’Qiraj Raids
There are two huge raid dungeons behind Gates of Ahn’Qiraj: Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj raid (20 players) and Temple of Ahn’Qiraj raid (40 players).
- Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj, or AQ20 for short, is a 20-player raid located in southern Silithus. This is a catch-up raid that allows small groups of players to upgrade their gear.
- Temple of Ahn’Qiraj, or AQ40 for short, is a 40-player raid located in southern Silithus, home to the lair of Old God C’Thun.
Two new Class Armor Sets can be obtained from the two Ahn’Qiraj Raids by looting powerful bosses and gaining faction reputation.
About WoW Classic 20th Anniversary
World of Warcraft Classic 20th Anniversary Edition launches worldwide on November 21, 2024. This anniversary edition revisits the early days of WoW Classic, offering all-new realms where players can experience all-new content, including a new economy, a massive player base, and a return to the classic level 1-60 upgrade journey.
