Into The Unjust Update Overview

Super Earths introduce a brand new combat experience, where you'll descend upon a bug-infested Hive World after surviving a spore cloud.

Hive Worlds are essentially dry desert planets that may contain massive Terminid structures and numerous interconnected, winding, bug-filled caves.

For this reason, your new role in this update will also be played within Hive Worlds. You'll need to traverse the map's various drilling sites to escort mobile oil rigs, enter caves to destroy Hive Lungs, and perform other new tactical objectives.

New Terminids Enemy Type

One of the most noteworthy additions to this update is the new Terminids enemy, Dragonroach. It's a massive, incredibly deadly flying enemy.

In combat, it will stray around the battlefield, releasing chemical fire. While the new battlefields introduced in Into the Unjust are mostly claustrophobic tunnels, this enemy will only engage in open combat.

Dragonroach will continue to attack until you exert enough pressure to force it back, or manage to break its wings and bring it down. In these ways, it resembles a cross between an Illuminated Leviathan and a Terminid Stalker.

Based on trailers and other information, you'll need to target specific areas of the enemy's body with small arms fire and rockets to have a chance of killing it; it's unclear whether conventional weapons will be enough to deal with it.

All Dust Devils Warbond Rewards

This Warbond was introduced specifically for Into the Unjust update, and unlocking it grants you new gear, titles, emotes, and patterns.

• Title: Burier of Heads
• Emote: Raider's Cheer
• Pattern: Rattlesnake for vehicles and Hellpods

The gear offered by Dust Devils Warbond is primarily firearms, each with its own unique advantages and suited to different combat scenarios.

• AR-2 Coyote: The game's first assault rifle equipped with incendiary rounds, providing powerful firepower.
• G-7 Pineapple: A cluster grenade that instantly shatters enemies upon detonation.

What Are Warbonds?

Unlocking With Medals In Warbonds

Targeted Deal With Different Enemy Factions

In Helldivers 2's story, you face not just one enemy faction, but multiple, distinct factions: Terminid, Automaton, and Illuminate.

These factions are significantly different and have varying strengths and weaknesses. Therefore, blindly using the same tactics against all enemies will probably waste resources and fail to achieve victory.

Terminid

This faction is essentially a horde of bugs, characterized by their sheer numbers and swarming attacks. Tactically, it's recommended to keep moving and avoid staying in one place for long periods of time to maintain distance and avoid close combat.

As for weapon selection, since most bugs have weak armor, it's recommended to quickly dispatch them with primary weapons, anti-tank weapons, or fast-firing support weapons like Stalwart or Machine Gun.

Automaton

Although this type of enemy is significantly fewer in total number, it possesses more advanced long-range laser weaponry and is a well-trained, heavily armed team of robots.

When facing them, you'll need to fight in cover whenever possible while utilizing your guns to accurately aim at their vulnerable heads. Since Automatons also have stronger defenses, equipping a heavy anti-tank gun is also essential.

Illuminate

Illuminates are somewhat of a hybrid of the previous two enemies, requiring you to counteract them with crowd control effects to strengthen them. Harvester is also a particular concern, as its defenses are stronger than those of other Illuminate enemies.

Stay Alert And Reflexive At All Times

During combat, enemies can attack you and your teammates from any direction at any time. Fortunately, Helldivers 2 offers a third-person perspective, allowing you to constantly monitor your surroundings and choose whether to eliminate or avoid them.

Additionally, your increased vigilance may allow you to spot secondary targets you can pursue, as some enemies aren't visible on the map at the start of a mission. This gives you an additional advantage and the opportunity to farm more loot.

Optimize Your Evasive Maneuvers

While aiming and shooting enemies offers the most immediate benefits and excitement, a quick and efficient evasion can save your life when necessary!

The first evasive maneuver we'll introduce is the dive. Simply double-click "B" button to dive to the ground in the direction of your movement. If you were standing still, this will propel you forward. You can then quickly stand up and continue moving normally.

With the right timing, the dive can easily evade attacks that wouldn't be possible to evade by sprinting. Even if you don't completely avoid damage by diving, you'll still retain most of your health.

If you don't have time to dodge, diving into cover is a good option, especially against Automaton enemies.

Generally speaking, it's always better to choose gear that suits you, but if you've just created your Helldivers 2 character on Xbox, the gear that's best for you in the short term is generally considered strong.
