In the PTR of Season 9, there was an abnormally high damage Barbarian, and its bug came from Horadric Spells. The latest bug is also partly from it, and this time the class that benefits is Sorcerer.

In the demonstration video, Hydra Sorcerer can melt 150 The Pit extremely quickly, probably in just one or two minutes. But in fact, any Sorcerer builds can take advantage of this bug because it is very simple.

How Does This Bug Work?

To achieve this bug, you don’t need any Diablo 4 items, you can even use this bug without any equipment. There are two conditions you need to achieve:

Key Passive: Enlightenment

Gives 1 Enlightenment per skill, 15 per skill if each skill uses unique elements. Caps at 100 and loses 10 per second. While Enlightened, the player gains Fire, Lightning, and Cold damage equal to the sum of those damage bonuses, and gains:

• 25% Damage (multiplier)
• 45% Mana Regeneration (increase)
• 20% Attack Speed ​​(increase)

Infusion: Smoldering Ember

When equipped, causes your Catalyst skills to deal Fire or Burn damage, allowing it to destroy enemy structures and has a chance to ignite the ground, dealing Burn damage over 5 seconds. Your Fire damage bonus is equal to your highest damage type bonus.

The Fire damage bonus from your Catalyst skills is replaced by your highest damage type bonus. When you are in Enlightenment state, you will get the bonus of three elements. Enlightenment will decay. When some players found that when you keep Enlightenment state through the portal, these two effects will have a wonderful reaction, allowing the damage to continue to stack.

Therefore, as long as you keep going through the portal, your damage will reach the limit. The damage caused by each of your skills is like dropping a heavy nuclear bomb in hell. Even 150 monsters in The Pit can’t stand in front of you for a breath.

However, since this bug requires you to keep going through the portal to trigger it, it is not suitable to use this bug, whether you are farming Diablo 4 gold or exploring dungeons. It can only be better triggered in The Pit.

Should You Try This Bug?

As a player, I will try it without hesitation as long as I learn the bug. First, the triggering of this bug is indeed very simple, except for the level. You hardly need any Diablo 4 items, so this won’t waste too much time.

Second, this bug will be fixed soon, and The Pit is a tough challenge. Not all players can reach the 150th The Pit every season. As an ordinary player, don’t you want to see what power of the monsters on the 150th The Pit are?

For players, it doesn’t matter whether it is a bug or a game mechanism, because players are only looking for satisfaction. However, exploiting bugs is essentially a cheating behavior, and the pleasure of winning by exploiting bugs is far inferior to the pleasure collected them through hard work, and it will lead to boredom with the game quickly.

Therefore, as a player, I suggest that you can exploit this bug, but don’t make it your main class.

As a developer, this is a very serious bug (although there are always many bugs in each Season update). Although this bug will not have any impact on the player’s gaming experience, it will undoubtedly cause Sorcerer to be too strong in season 9, resulting in no one playing other classes, making their hard-earned class balance a joke, so this bug should not stay for too long.

The only thing that worries players is whether this will lead to a major nerf to Sorcerer in Season 10. After all, after several seasons of weakness, Sorcerer players have finally waited for a strong season, and I hope such a propitious time will not be limited to season 9.
