What Is Path of Exile 2 Gold?
Gold first appeared in Path Of Exile as the main currency, and is the main resource that players need to perform multiple actions in POE 2. Whether it is obtaining items from vendors or respec skill points, you will need more and more of this gold to complete tasks.
What Does POE 2 Quick Gold Do?
Gold is a valuable resource in Path Of Exile 2. Some of the most useful things in the game can be obtained with gold, so having them can greatly speed up your game progress. Before understanding how to farm gold, let’s take a look at what you will use it for.
- Get Equipment: Since POE 2 Gold is the main currency used by Wraeclast vendors, including equipment vendors such as Renly in Clearfall Encampment, and professional vendors such as Una, who sell flasks in addition to various equipment, you can quickly get the equipment you want by spending gold.
- Gambling: If you want to gamble, you can also use Path Of Exile 2 Quick Gold to gamble with Finn. This NPC will display several pages of random equipment that you can spend money to obtain. Sometimes you might get a really bad item, but there’s also a chance you’ll get a rare item that proves useful. It’s all up to you!
- Respec Skill Points: The most important use for gold is to respec passive skill points, which can be done by completing Mysterious Shade quest at Hooded One in Clearfell Encampment. You gain one passive skill point per level, but if you want to go back to the drawing board and try a different path on the passive skill tree, you can use POE 2 gold to refund points one by one, and refunding a skill point costs about 250 gold.
How to Farm Gold Efficiently in Path of Exile 2?
With all of this in mind, let’s take a look at some of the best ways to earn gold in POE 2 to help you swim in gold.
- Killing Bosses: There are multiple ways to earn gold in Path Of Exile 2, but the easiest way is to kill all the enemies you encounter. Smaller enemies or monsters will drop less POE 2 gold, so you’ll be better off targeting enemies with gold in their names to farm more efficiently. They’re basically the bosses of the game.
- Clearing Maps: In the early game, you can also earn Path Of Exile 2 Gold by simply clearing the maps your most familiar with. Elite packs will usually give you hundreds of gold each, not to mention you can get more from any treasure chests you find along the way. The faster you clear a map, the more gold you’ll earn.
- Selling Items: Another better way to make money is by selling items to vendors. This includes some consumables, equipment, and loot that you don’t need. Selling items also keeps your inventory clean and organized, as too many useless items can keep you from getting the good loot you need to upgrade your gear.
- Opening Chests: Be sure to explore caches, treasure chests, and any other lootable areas on the map. Again, the higher the rarity of a cache or chest, the more gold you’ll get from it.
- Entering Secret Room: During the game, you may stumble upon a secret room, such as on the way to fight Draven in Mausoleum. This hidden room contains a lot of gold, and there are also some chests containing gold and items. However, since the area is randomly generated, there is no guarantee that you will find one of these rooms.
If you are not interested in these time-consuming and laborious methods, the most common method for most exiles is to buy POE 2 Gold from a reliable third-party supplier.
What Are The Advantages of Buying POE 2 Gold Directly?
We understand the necessity of having gold coins, so is it necessary to spend real money to get gold coins directly? What advantages will this bring to us?
- Save Time: First of all, I believe that no player wants to spend more time in the game to complete boring and repetitive grinding, and directly obtaining POE 2 Gold allows you to abandon these links and save more time for interesting challenges.
- Speed Up The Game Process: Gold coins, as an important resource in Path Of Exile 2, can be used to obtain items from suppliers and optimize your character’s skill tree. Therefore, having more gold coins can easily catch up with old players who have already spent a lot of time.
- Enhanced Interaction: You can also use POE 2 Gold to send gifts or virtual messages to other players, greatly enhancing the social function experience in the game.

Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.5.5 Forbidden Rites Event League: Ritual Goes Core as Trial of Chaos Overhaul
The official announcement has finally been made that the new Path of Exile 2 event league, Forbidden Rites, will launch on September 4th (PDT) along with patch 0.5.5. This is a limited-time event league built on Ritual mechanic, featuring an independent economy and including 8 new challenges and exclusive rewards.
It's important to note that patch 0.5.5 will not include any balance adjustments. The official statement indicates that due to insufficient development time to achieve satisfactory results, all planned balance changes will be postponed until 1.0 official release. This means that the current meta's dominant playstyles and builds will still apply in Forbidden Rites.
Core Gameplay: A Complete Upgrade to Ritual Mechanism

During the event, Ritual sites will be permanently generated in each campaign region. Players must first defeat the monsters guarding the effigy, then activate the effigy, reviving fallen enemies and defeating them again to earn Tributes, which can be redeemed for rewards in Ritual shop.
Additionally, each Act features two unique Ritual Clusters. These altars are located near the area boss and are interconnected across four areas. After completing a unique Ritual, the area boss is moved to the next connected altar. This means that in the final altar encounter, players may face up to four bosses simultaneously. In return, each unique Ritual guarantees a unique item.
Meanwhile, Forbidden Rites optimizes team gameplay - each team member independently earns and spends their own Tributes, resolving the awkward reward distribution issues of previous team play.
Viridian Wildwood Returns

Forbidden Rites league brings back the previously featured Viridian Wildwood, integrating him into the current endgame gameplay in a new way.
After completing the altars on the map, players have a chance to see a new currency item - Sacred Bloom - in the altar rewards window. Right-clicking this item and then left-clicking any point on the map will add a Viridian Wildwood entrance to that map.
Upon entering the map, Wildwood will appear as a separate area at the start of the map. Players must follow the trail within a limited time to collect three different colored Wisps:
- Blue Wisps: Transform normal monsters into magic monsters.
- Yellow Wisps: Add extra mods to rare monsters.
- Purple Wisps: Increase the rarity of monster drops.
The combination of Wisps collected will determine how monsters are enhanced and the reward distribution within the map. Enhanced monsters will become more dangerous, but their drops will be more plentiful. Furthermore, there is reportedly a very low chance of encountering a fourth, mysterious Wisps.
Trial of Chaos Overhaul
Patch 0.5.5 features a major overhaul of Trial of Chaos, adjusting everything from the trial flow and objective design to modifiers and the reward system.
Flow and Objective Optimization
Players can now pause and leave a trial between rooms, then return to continue. Most room objectives have been simplified to focus on killing monsters, significantly reducing complex tasks like escorting statues and implanting Soul Cores. Meanwhile, the distance between rooms has been shortened, elevators have been enlarged, and the Trialmaster's time freeze effect has been adjusted to trigger only once per trial, resulting in a smoother overall experience.
Modifier Adjustments
All modifiers have been rebalanced, reducing the danger of lower-level trials, and each modifier now provides an additional Item Rarity bonus. In addition, over 10 new Wager Modifiers have been added, allowing players to proactively take on higher risks for potentially greater rewards.
Reward System Changes
The reward system has also been completely revamped. Each room now offers additional chests, while the main rewards of Trial of Chaos focus on PoE 2 currency and Soul Cores. Soul Cores themselves have also been enhanced and new types have been added, further increasing the value of Trial's rewards.
Trial Depth Expanded to 30 Rooms
The biggest change is that the maximum number of rooms in Trial of Chaos has been increased from 10 to 30. As the challenge progresses, the difficulty and rewards will continuously increase, allowing truly powerful builds to choose to continuously push deeper into the rooms.
Furthermore, after successfully challenging enough depth, players will have the opportunity to obtain all three Trialmaster Fragments in a single Trial, thus more steadily accumulating the resources needed to challenge the Trialmaster himself.
Endgame Optimizations
In addition to Forbidden Rites league content and Trial of Chaos rework, 0.5.5 also brings some important endgame optimizations:

- Arbiter of Divinity: Players no longer need to defeat Arbiter of Divinity multiple times to unlock the entire Fortress. Now, the process is simplified, requiring only one additional kill to reveal the entire area.
- Abyssal Ravines: New Abyssal Ravines will appear while exploring Atlas. As you progress through Ravines, monsters will provide increasing rewards, and you're guaranteed to encounter an Abyssal boss upon reaching the final map.
Duelist Class Preview

The studio also released Duelist class deep dive. Duelist will be added to the game in the 1.0 official release on December 11th. Its skill design doesn't rely on fixed combos, but allows for free skill chaining. Some skills will trigger Ready Stance, which can then be upgraded to Sand Stance. The official description states that this class has many skill combinations and mechanics to master, but mastering them will yield rich rewards and massive damage.
In summary, Path of Exile 2 patch 0.5.5 Forbidden Rites brings high-intensity Ritual encounters, a new endgame enhancement mechanic, and a completely reworked Trial of Chaos. With the economic reset and the addition of eight exclusive League Challenges, players will certainly have ample reason to embark on their journey again.
Dual Wield Swords Are Coming to Path of Exile 2 1.0 | But Here's Why They Might Fail
Dear players, with the official announcement of Duelist class's arrival in version 1.0 of Path of Exile 2, swords are finally joining the game - a huge boost for all melee enthusiasts!
The trailer showcases the smooth and stylish combos animations of dual-wielding swords, the powerful return of Cyclone, and Parry mechanic adding a touch of responsiveness to combat.
However, amidst the excitement, if you've been following the situation of dual-wielding weapons in PoE 2, it's hard not to worry about their future. Will these gorgeous swords ultimately become a visually appealing but impractical option in the game?
The Current State of Dual Wielding
Let's first look at the actual distribution of mainstream builds in the community: among all late-game builds surveyed, dual-wielding maces account for only 0.6%, and dual two-handed maces are even lower at 0.1%.
This means that encountering a dual-wielding player in a public area of Path of Exile 2 is practically a rare occurrence.
What's even more thought-provoking is that among the 0.6% of dual-wielding one-handed weapon builds, a staggering 97% of players chose Brutus' Lead Sprinkler. This means their dual-wielding wasn't about leveraging the affixes of rare one-handed weapons, but purely about stacking two unique effects.
Furthermore, crafting two rare one-handed weapons with decent affixes often requires a significant investment of PoE 2 currency, while unique weapons like Brutus' Lead Sprinkler offer stable effects and are much cheaper to acquire, naturally becoming a shortcut for most players.
Only 3% of players actually use rare one-handed weapons for dual-wielding.
These data clearly demonstrate that dual-wielding is practically not a commonly chosen weapon combination strategy in the current PoE 2.

The Root Cause
Why has dual-wielding fallen to this state in the game? The fundamental reason lies in the severe imbalance in Passive Skill Tree's support for two-handed and one-handed weapons. In the vast Passive Skill Tree, only a handful of nodes specifically serve dual wielding, and these are compressed into a very small area, offering limited bonuses.
Most of these nodes are general-purpose, applicable to both two-handed and one-handed weapon dual wielding, but numerically they are far inferior to two-handed weapon-specific nodes.
For example, Overwhelm Notable Passive for two-handed weapons provides a 40% damage increase, while Reaving Notable Passive for one-handed weapons only offers a meager 8% attack speed benefit.
Even if you spend a significant number of points traversing the entire Passive Skill Tree to collect these one-handed weapon nodes, the final return is far less substantial than sticking to a two-handed weapon build.
This design directly leads to a harsh reality: if your goal is to maximize damage in PoE 2, two-handed weapons are always the better choice, and dual wielding will be utterly crushed in the late game.
Can swords change the tide?
Another reason we can't ignore is that currently, the only melee weapon in the game that can be wielded one-handed is the mace. The mace was designed to be the slowest, heaviest, and most charge-intensive weapon, which doesn't align with the inherently fast-paced combos of dual wielding.
Most mace players eventually opt for a two-handed mace paired with a shield, offering both survivability and damage output. Only a few players pursuing maximum skill levels will utilize Giant's Blood keystone passive skill for dual wielding with two-handed maces.

So, will the swords arriving in PoE 2 version 1.0 change this?
Judging from the trailer, swords have a significantly faster attack speed than maces, more agile movements, and seem to possess native parry abilities.
If we can effectively utilize the multiplicative damage bonus provided by a successful parry, it might become a key to the output of dual wielding swords.
Furthermore, the return of Cyclone in version 1.0 will give dual wielding players another viable map-clearing skill.
These designs certainly offer hope for dual wielding players, but if Passive Skill Tree and its stats aren't adjusted accordingly, even the most visually appealing skill animations won't make a difference.
Passive Skill Tree Rework in Patch 0.5.5
The good news is that Path of Exile 2 has confirmed a rework of Passive Skill Tree in Patch 0.5.5, while Swords and Duelist won't be implemented until version 1.0 on December 11th.
This means we have a valuable window between 0.5.5 and 1.0 to observe whether the development team is paving the way for one-handed dual wielding through changes to Passive Skill Tree.
If the reworked one-handed weapon node and dual wielding node stats are reasonable and their positions are convenient, then dual wielding has a real chance to thrive when Swords are released. Conversely, swords might repeat the mistakes of mace.
Every frame of the dual wielding swords in the trailer was exhilarating, but upon reflection, we can't help but recall the current predicament of dual wielding in the game.

A healthy gaming environment should make dual wielding a viable and fun one-handed unique weapon choice, rather than forcing players to use Giant's Blood, a keystone passive skill.
With swords' release imminent and Passive Skill Tree rework in 0.5.5 just around the corner, now is the perfect opportunity to turn the tide for dual wielding!
Hopefully, when PoE 2 version 1.0 officially launches this December, we can confidently pull out two rare swords to charge into battle, instead of sighing helplessly at the flashy animations.
