Tycoons, Monopoly Go has a new event! Unlike the previous Wonderland Adventures, Carriage Cavalcade no longer requires teamwork. Instead, players score points by landing on designated tiles to earn different rewards. Check it out!

Carriage Cavalcade Schedule

As a solo banner event, Carriage Cavalcade launched on May 17th at 4 PM EST and will run until May 20th at 1 PM EST, giving you almost three days to complete the event and collect rewards such as Laser Guns.

Core Mechanics

The gameplay involves rolling dice on Chance, Tax, and Utility tiles to score points. Tax tiles award three points, while the other two award two points each. Your score will be even higher if you roll a multiplier. For example, landing on a Tax tile with a multiplier of 10 will earn you 30 points.

However, these scoring tiles are not evenly distributed. What you should be doing is trying to reach the Go corner, which will bring you closer to Tax tiles and Chance tiles. There's also a pair of Railroad tiles nearby that can give you tournament points.

Two Utility tiles are scattered across the rest of the board, one in Waterworks and the other in Electricity Company.

Game Strategy

As mentioned before, Utility tiles are very scattered across the board, so using high multipliers isn't as wise if your goal is to land on them.

Since most positions on the board won't give you points, you should mostly choose low multipliers and save high multipliers for when you really need them, especially near Tax tiles and Chance tiles. Once you reach a certain position on the board, start considering whether your next roll will land on a scoring tile.

Next, it's best to turn off auto-roll, because after selecting a 10x multiplier or other multipliers, your dice will be used up quickly, and only a small percentage of dice may land on Tax tiles, Chance tiles, or Utility tiles. Remember to manually turn off auto-roll.

Additionally, Tax tile isn't just the highest-scoring tile; it's also surrounded by Chance tiles and Railroad tiles. So, even if you don't land on your desired Tax tile, you'll usually still benefit from the other tiles.

Landing on a Chance tile, besides scoring points, it also grants you extra dice or allows you to move to the next railroad. Both of these extra benefits are extremely useful, either increasing your consumables for the event or earning you tournament points. The benefits of landing on a Chance tile are substantial.

What are the rewards for Carriage Cavalcade?

The points required for each milestone and the corresponding rewards are listed below:

If you reach Milestone 31, you will receive 79 Laser Guns. This is the most cost-effective reward in this event, as you get a sufficient number of Laser Guns and the number of dice consumed is acceptable.

In Monopoly Go, Sticker Treasures event runs concurrently with Carriage Cavalcade.

This means that Laser Guns you win in this event can also be used in Sticker Treasures event, giving you more opportunities to obtain stickers and dice. Event Rewards

Rewards from Tycoon Racers event come in two parts: team ranking rewards and lap completion rewards.

Team Ranking Rewards

The ranking rewards differ depending on whether you choose to team up or race solo.

Team Racers: 

• 1st: Board Token, 5-star sticker pack, 4-star pack, and Enchanted Storybook
• 2nd: 5-star sticker pack and 4-star sticker pack
• 3rd: 4-star sticker pack and 3-star sticker pack
• 4th: 2-star sticker pack and 1-star sticker pack

Solo Racers: 

• 1st: Board Token, 4-star sticker pack and 3-star sticker pack
• 2nd: 3-star sticker pack, 2-star sticker pack
• 3rd: 3-star sticker pack
• 4th: 2-star sticker pack

The sticker rewards in team mode are noticeably better - the purple pack and Enchanted Storybook far exceed the blue and pink packs from solo mode in terms of value.

Lap Rewards

Apart from the final race rewards, each lap you complete (by accumulating enough points on the track) during the event grants you lap rewards. These typically include sticker packs, dice, cash, or more flags.

However, there is a cap on these lap rewards. Once you hit the limit, completing additional laps will no longer give you any reward.

Which Mode Should You Choose?

To keep things fair, solo players only compete against other solo players, and the same goes for teams. If you're worried about ending up with teammates who don't pull their weight, you can always choose to go solo.

The first 24 hours after the event starts is the team-up portion. During this period, if you're unhappy with your current team or want to switch to solo mode, you can leave by tapping the small red button next to your avatar.

You cannot kick anyone out of the team - you can only leave yourself. After leaving, finding ideal teammates may be difficult, as your friends might already have formed their own teams.

When to Choose Team Mode?

If you're missing only a few five-star stickers, especially gold five-star stickers, then team mode is almost a must. The chance of pulling a five-star sticker from a blue pack is extremely low, offering little help to your current progress. In contrast, Enchanted Storybook and the purple pack are the rewards that truly move the needle toward completing your collection.

When to Choose Solo Mode?

If your sticker collection still has many gaps and you still need a lot of four-star, three-star, and two-star stickers, then the blue and pink packs from solo mode might actually be more practical. These lower-quality sticker packs can fill the blanks in your album faster.

However, whether you race solo or with a team, the number of points needed to complete one lap is exactly the same. Solo mode offers fewer rewards than team mode because in a team you benefit from everyone's collective progress. If you're aiming for bigger rewards, joining a team can give you an extra edge.

How to Get Flags?

Flags are the core resource for Tycoon Racers event. You can obtain them through:

How to Use Flags?

Once you have flags, you can take them at the dice-launching device in the middle of the track to roll. You can adjust the multiplier based on how many flags you have. The higher the multiplier, the more flags you consume per roll, but also the higher the total points you can get from a single roll.

A normal roll gives you a distance equal to the dice number. If you roll two or three of the same number, you get a large point bonus, making your car speed forward on the track.

When the event ends, any unused flags are converted into in-game cash in Monopoly GO. The conversion rate is very low, far worse than using them to chase lap rewards. Therefore, it is highly recommended that you use up all your flags before the event ends to obtain more valuable rewards like dice or sticker packs.
