  • Fallout 76: A Legendary Weapon That Low-Health Builds Must Not Miss! - Railway Rifle

    Posted: May 18, 2024

Here I want to talk about Railway Rifle, which is one of the best weapons in the game if it is set up properly.

Railway Rifle is a home-made steel stake launcher that is loved by many Fallout 76 players. It has high single-shot damage values in both semi-auto or full-auto shooting modes, is incredibly ammo efficient, and is very easy to make.

This is undoubtedly one of the best weapons in Fallout 76, especially for VATS Commando builds. If you want to buy a Railway Rifle for yourself, here are some places to find it.

    How To Find Railway Rifle?

Imagine taking a solid block of steel and shooting it at someone’s head. That’s what Railway Rifle is all about. It uses the power of a steam engine to fire solid steel bolts at whatever you want to destroy.

It makes a cool gurgling sound when you reload. You can find plans to make them starting at level 30 in the southern and eastern parts of the map. But you can also buy plans directly from vendors, including Free States and Shopping Mall Vendors at Whitespring Resort. Additionally, Grahm, a super mutant merchant, and vendors in Watoga, as well as Berkeley Springs Station, also sell these plans.

    Why It’s Good?

By default, Rifle does 95 base damage per shot. That’s more than Hunting Rifle’s 70 base damage. It also has a very high recoil, so at first glance, it looks like a classic sniper that hits hard but shoots slowly.

But if you look closely, you’ll see that it only costs 20 Action Points to shoot in VATS, which is less than VATS cost of most snipers. Adding Automatic Piston mod also halves Action Point cost and increases the rate of fire to 75, which is comparable to Handmade Rifle.

One of the great things about the game is that weapons that hit hard tend to shoot slowly and require a lot of Action Points in VATS. You should use them as precision weapons. On the other hand, fast-firing weapons deal fewer damage per shot, and Machine Guns require a lot of AP in VATS. So you should rely on the rate of fire to take out enemies.

But Railway Rifle breaks all stereotypes. It does a lot of damage, but it also fires very quickly and is also cheap in VATS. The only downside is the ridiculously high recoil. This makes the automatic Railway Rifle unique.

    How To Use It Properly?

Railway Rifle almost looks like it was designed specifically for VATS. And that’s exactly how you should use it, because VATS can counteract the recoil.

It doesn’t have a lot of mods. As I mentioned before, Automatic Piston Receiver increases the rate of fire and reduces the cost in VATS. Outside of VATS, the extra rate of fire will be useless because of the recoil, but when you add the mod, it also reduces AP cost. So it’s a simple choice to go with Automatic Piston.

Long Barrel gives you more range and accuracy, but at the cost of more recoil. But as we mentioned before, VATS counteracts recoil, so you’ll want Long Barrel as well.

Also, Longer Scope will make you more accurate, which is very handy, but opting for Reflex Sight will reduce AP cost to 7 per shot. If you have plenty of Perception, then Reflex Sight might be the better choice. Players with low health and a full Unyielding set will be particularly suited to using it.

Extra Perception will let you hit more in VATS, extra AP means you can shoot more, and extra Luck means more crits.

But unlike most Rifles, it doesn’t have Armor Penetrating Magazines, so make sure to use Tank Killer to give yourself some ways around armor, and use Critical Savvy perk card to get as many crits as possible.

There’s no weight saving perks under Perception so you should also be free to use Commando perks for more damage.

If you don’t have Speed Demon mutation, Ground and Pound should help you reload faster. But if you have mutations, you can replace it with other perks, since reloading is only a little faster and the hip fire accuracy bonus isn’t very useful for Railway Rifle.

    Best Legendary Effects

As always, which Legendary Effect is best comes down to personal preference, but I’ll give some of my thoughts.

Since Railway Rifle has a small magazine, with only 10 spikes. This makes Quad effect more useful than other weapon types.

Anti Armor is also particularly useful, since Rifle doesn’t have an Anti Armor magazine, halving an enemy’s armor makes a noticeable difference. Combine it with Tank Killer and you can reduce armor by nearly 70%, compared to 36% with just Tank Killer.

Against bosses, you still need Quad effect for a more sustained shot, but Anti Armor does significantly more damage per shot, so it works better in normal play. But both are great as endgame gear.

For the second star, Explosive effects are always good for marking, but the 25% faster fire rate against bosses will actually give you more damage, especially if you land more critical hits at low health.

VATS Enhanced is the obvious choice for the last star. Reducing VATS action cost by 25% doesn’t seem like much, but this discount is based on the base AP cost, so the action point cost per shot is fixed at -5.

With Automatic Piston and Reflex Sight, it costs 7 AP per shot, which is still low, but with the reduced VATS cost, it only costs 2 AP per shot, which is ridiculous.

It pairs well with any other combination of Legendary Effects, but pairs particularly well with Quad. Therefore, the ideal combination is Quad, Faster Fire, and VATS Enhanced.

I got 492 AP with my low health character, which is more than enough to throw multiple magazines at a boss without running out of AP.

    Outro

All in all, Railway Rifle is a very specialized weapon. For anyone using VATS, especially with a low health build, this is one of the best weapons you can get. It hits hard, shoots fast, and has a very low VATS cost. Once you use an excellent weapon, you’ll understand why it has remained popular with players for so many years. Give it a try!

  • Fallout 76: Which 5 Mutations Can Help You Play Through?

    Posted: May 15, 2024

Welcome to Fallout 76 guide. Today I’m going to be doing a guide on five essential Mutations to help you play through the game.

Before we dive into the actual Mutations.

There are three different perks and Fallout 76 Bottle Caps which I’d really recommend you use to make the most out of your Mutations.

    Three Different Perks

    1.Starch Genes

First, one is going to be Starch Genes. As this one will protect your Mutations stopping you from losing them. Stopping you from gaining some from just being around Radiation and stuff like that.

    2.Strange In Numbers

The second perk I would recommend is Strange In Numbers. This one actually makes your Mutations even stronger when you’re a team with other people who are mutated, which is pretty much 99% of the players in the game. We’ll look over that into a little more detail when we review the different Mutations in this guide.

    3.Class Freak

Finally, the last perk would be Class Freak. Some people claim that you don’t actually need to use this one, but I definitely recommend it. Because it really weakens down the negative effects of Mutations if you have it at level three. It’ll take it down by 75% which pretty much makes a lot of the negatives just basically nothing.

    Five Essential Mutations

    1.Carnivore And Herbivore

So the first Mutation I would recommend is either Carnivore or Herbivore depending on which one you want to go for. Personally, I like to use Herbivore just because of the benefits towards like Cranberry products and stuff like that. But I know some people who are builds do prefer to go down Carnivore route or so just have a think about which consumables you use which Buffs and stuff and Fallout 76 Items. Then decide which one’s going to be better for you.

The benefit with these is, of course, that you will get double hunger satisfaction from the chosen one. So if you’re Carnivore when you eat meat, you’ll get double if you’re Herbivore when you eat a plant, you’ll get double. Same thing goes for HP restoration and also you’ll have no disease chances from eating the consumables from your selected type.

Now the negatives of Carnivore and same as Herbivore, but obviously just switch it over, is you’ll not get any hunger satisfaction, or HP regeneration, or any Buffs applied from eating the opposite effect from what you’ve chosen.

    2.Egg Head

The second Mutation I would advise is Egg Head. Now, this one is a really awesome perk for the simple fact that it boosts your Intelligence. It’s a very simple one doesn’t have too much to it but it gives you plus six Intelligence, which is a really big jump.

It does have the minus three Strength and the minus three Endurance but let say you have Stranger In Numbers that Intelligence is then going to go to like plus eight Intelligence.

And then if you put Class Freak on the negatives are going to go down to like minus one Strength, minus one Endurance which if you’re a Bloodied build then. These are just going to literally be null and void. Because you’re on and Armor is just going to push that through the roof. As well as other perks and your standard special stats, you’re really not going to miss one special stat realistically.

    3.Herd Mentality

Now the third Mutation I really recommend is Herd Mentality. Fallout 76 of course is an online game and the majority of the time you playing you’re going to be in a team. So this is going to boost your stats pretty much at all times. As you can see on screen when you have this Mutation acquired, you’ll get plus two to all of your special stats in a team.

That’s just negated all the negative effect from the previous Mutation. But it is worth noting if you were going to play a solo, you would also lose two special stats. So just always being a team. It’s better anyway you get more XP especially if you’re in a casual team. Stay in a casual whatever you do.

    4.Marsupial Mutation

Number four is definitely the most popular Mutation in the game. I would argue and that is Marsupial Mutation. This one comes with two benefits with the plus 20 Carry weight, which is of course ideal and in addition to that you also get a superior jumping height. So if you ever see anyone run around jumping at extreme height compared to you. It’s because they’ve got Marsupial Mutation.

Now again, this one does come with a pretty hefty negative with minus four Intelligence but like I said earlier if you’re using Class Freak that will not get down like minus one. With the minus 75% reduction from having that perk acquired which then again by having Herd Mentality will also wipe that out.

    5.Demon Mutation

Now going on to the final Mutation. This is going to be one of my favorite ones with the speed Demon Mutation. This one comes with the benefits of speed. And that’s going to be plus 20% movement speed and also plus 20% reload speed, so whether you want to run around faster to hit the enemies or whether you’re running and gunning and you want to reload faster.

It’s ideal for both. The negatives of this, though, is it does give you a plus 50% drain on your hunger and your thirst on your moving.

But realistically they took out the kind of hunger and thirst negatives in the game. So you used to have to eat and drink, otherwise you would lose stats and stuff like that. Now that just got taken out, so you don’t actually need to eat and drink.

These are five essential Mutations in Fallout 76. I hope you guys like this guide. See you next time.

  • Fallout 76: A Deep Dive Into Why Low Health Builds Are Worth Trying

    Posted: May 13, 2024

Hello everybody, I hope you’re having a fantastic day today. Next I will explain their RADS why so high or their health so low and it is extremely beneficial.

    Benefits Of Low Health

The main reason why our health is low, our RADS are high. The reason we RADS high is that it keeps our health low. And it takes advantage of the Unyielding effect that you can only get on regular armor. You cannot get on power armor and it has gained up to three plus to all special stats except endurance when health is low and this is extremely beneficial.

However, investing Fallout 76 Bottle Caps will greatly increase the attributes of game equipment.

When you have five pieces because that’s going to be plus 15 to all stats except endurance now you can see here when I irradiated myself you can just see the stats going up her. We have better strength, better perception, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility and luck and having these stats higher is going to benefit us. And I’m going to show you why one of the is that it gives you extra carry weight, like almost an extra 100 carry weight you can see.

    Health And Unyielding Armor

When I lower my health all the way to the maximum potential of Unyielding Armor I am almost like plus an extra 100 carry weight and that’s because our strength goes up your AP and Luck with the critical will just be insane.

Like once you learn to Maneuver around a bit, like you are just going to be an unstoppable machine and like out front of West Tek here can be pretty. Tough sometimes, especially for a new player, but you can see like they didn’t even hit me.

I’m just hopping around never ending AP and critical going off. It is extremely convenient and with your AP being so high as well as your agility. You’re never going to be able to run like I pretty much just ran across this whole Bridge without stopping to replenish AP.

Unyielding Armor is another reason people get so much xp from grenades at West Tek it’s not the big reason but 15 extra intelligence you get just from wearing Unyielding Armor helps with your XP gain from enemies. Because the higher your intelligence is, the more XP you will gain from the enemy.

So it’s basically the starter kit to running West Tek. Another thing is your charisma will be high. So this will affect your trading as well and your bargaining and you can see here. It’s $12290 and 2150 for the brick building and the metal building set.

Now you can see when I lower my health and we get the Unyielding effect going.

    Operation More Convenient

It raises our Charisma so high that you don’t even need hard bargain anymore. This will give you the same deals as having a hard bargain on and it saves you a perk slot even if you don’t want to switch it on and off. You can see I’m getting a lot cheaper deal here than we did before. Our health was so low and again this is because of Unyielding Armor.

And you are definitely a Glass Cannon. But the more you learn to Maneuver, the less you will start dying. You will just pick up on little tricks. Maybe sneak when you first attack definitely hopping around really helps with the ground enemies.

Especially, if you’re at the queen event, you’re just not going to get hit by them as much as you just kind of learn how to Maneuver you can see.

I’m down here south in Cranberry and there’s just Scorchbeasts everywhere. And Scorch going everywhere. I think I barely got hit down here. Now you just got to be quick and practice and don’t be discouraged when you first try this build.

If you do, you are going to die a lot, but to be honest, like since I’ve been doing this for a couple of years. Now if I die like if anything it’s in Daily Ops or it’s just something you know that I wasn’t paying attention really to my health. You seem to have a lot of time to hit a stimpak before you die.

    Do Not Use Nerd Rage

And you don’t have to go like full low Health. Although you will want to for Nerd Rage, you really don’t have to. I find I’ll die and it’ll mess up my RADS every once in a while. And I’ll just leave them there and you just have that little of extra health and then you really won’t die.

And as I was saying, Nerd Rage, this is another reason to have your health low with Unyielding Armor. As you do 10% more damage, you have a better AP Regen and more damage resistance.

And 20% more Health you can see here when we’re lowering our RADS again. It’s also a good way to tell when you’ve reached your maximum potential for Unyielding Armor.

When Nerd Rage goes off, you don’t want to raise your RADS any higher. Also another perk card with having your Rad so high radical is awesome. You’ll get five Extra Strength even more carry weight, you can have a mixed match set of Unyielding Armor as well.

It’s still actually pretty good. I’m sure if most of you tried a mixed match set of armor, you’d be pretty happy with it.

And you can get a mixed match set of Armor,if you get lucky and, like you, just get a Legendary drop. But I would check players’ vendors as you can here on the map.

I’m showing you can just check them and see if they have any armor, preferably three stars, and then go buy them. They’re usually not that expensive like 500 to 1500 Caps, sometimes for a one or two or three stars will be more expensive.

But to be honest, you really want to go for that secret service Armor and you get that by doing the main quest involving crater and foundation.

    To Gain Secret Service Armor

And once you basically beat that whole quest you can come to Vault 79 here and you can come talk to Regs here and you can trade gold bullion to get Secret Service Armor set.

It’s the best armor in the game and it’s the easiest way to get Unyielding Armor on Armor. Basically, because you can just use one module rather than three modules that I’m going to show. I’m also going to show you two here the prices for it.

You don’t need Secret Service helmet, the jet pack is nice, and it is going to take a little of saving up but just keep in mind you can get this for cheaper at Manual. so pay attention to when Manual is around.

And here’s the little trick with this: if you didn’t know with most Armor, well, you can’t craft it.

So once you do have a piece of armor that you want a three star on, you pretty much have to come over here and roll a three star for three modules. But with Secret Service Armor you can just craft new pieces and more often than not you will get a three star, anyway.

So that’s your best bet for Unyielding. You only need to go one module at a time. You can see I rolled 10 pieces here and didn’t get any Unyielding.

It’s not exactly easy but still it was only 10 modules, and we got 10 pieces. And I think three or four of them here was a three stars anyway, so don’t waste your modules using three to roll that third star effect, just make new pieces over and over again. And you’ll be able to trade it in for script at Legendary PR as well.

And like I said, don’t let RNG upset you. Maybe you will have better luck than I. And I usually roll about five at a time with Secret Service Armor. Then I’ll go check and see if any are unyielding.

If they’re not then, I’ll go do another five and I just keep repeating that process until you know you got your whole set. It will take a bunch of modules if you get it within 200 modules. You’re probably lucky a way that I also lower my health is I just get my RADS all the way up by drinking dirty water.

    To obtain Gamma Gun

Another way people like to raise their RADS is to use Gamma Gun and all you have to do is get your hands on one and then just pretty much shoot yourself and wait for Nerd Rage to go off.And then again you know your Armor is at its maximum potential.

I hope this answers the question why some people have their RADS , taking these tips will make you feel better in the game. Have a nice day.

  • Fallout 76: A Brief Explanation Of The New Spring Cleaning Event - Challenges & Rewards

    Posted: May 07, 2024

Welcome to this new guide! The upcoming event in Fallout 76 - the new Spring Cleaning challenge event is set to run from May 7th to May 21st, it’s a limited-time event, which offering exclusive rewards. To participate, you simply need to complete specific challenges and unlock various rewards along the way. Without wasting time, let’s dive in!

    Spring Cleaning Event Explained

The Spring Cleaning event this time consists of cleaning up junk or creatures in Appalachia, or is going to get you the challenges completed. As of the Atomic Shop update on May 7th, we can be getting the new Abraxo Pip-boy skin without using Fallout 76 Bottle Caps. Players can then pick this up, equip it on their character, and then complete these sets of challenges to then unlock the new rewards.

And before I show off the rewards and all the challenges, please bear in mind that these are in no particular order. Bethesda has changed it to what was datamined and sometimes just swapped the week round. So, the Week 1 reward might end up being the Week 2 or it might end up being the overall reward.

    Week 1

Challenges: During Week 1, running from May 7th to May 14th, players can expect a set of challenges including collecting an Abraxo Cleaner with the Abraxo Pip-boy skin equipped, obtaining a broom, soap, scrapping junk to create Acid and Fertilizer, as well as defeating an Alien and a lesser Devil with the Cremator.

Typically, unlocking the main reward requires completing approximately 5 out of the 7 challenges. Therefore, players don't need to participate daily. If they have time, they can join, complete the challenge, and receive rewards.

Rewards: The rewards by completing these Week 1 challenges are 1 Scout Banner, 3 Lunchboxes, 3 Legendary Modules, 250 Score Points, Nuka Cola Mix Pack (1x Dark, 1x Grape, 1x Orange, 1x Wild, 1x Cherry, 1x Cranberry), 3 Perk Packs, and 3 Repair Kits. If you don't have these yet, you might want to take up the challenge.

Once you've successfully conquered all the challenges designated for Week 1, you will be rewarded with the acquisition of the Mobile Sanitation Backpack, an item highly sought after and eagerly anticipated by a multitude of players within the Fallout 76.

    Week 2

Challenges: Moving on to the Week 2 and we are again faced with 7 different challenges: collect a Plunger, collect Toilet Paper, scrap junk to create Ceramic, scrap junk to create Plastic, kill an Overgrown, kill a Snallygaster. Then you should also scrap a Catch the Commie board game with the Abraxo Pit-boy skin. You should definitely go and find the board game, get them in your stash boxes, and then you’ll be all sorted ready for the event.

Rewards: The rewards by completing these Week 2 challenges are just like the Week 1 which contain the Scout Banner, Lunchboxes, Legendary Modules and other items. However, it might differ. This might be Week 1or be Week 2. We’ll have to wait and see for when it actually gets released.

After successfully completing all challenges assigned in Week 2, you will be appropriately rewarded - the R.I.P. Daring Bin.

    Conclusion

If you complete both weeks, the reward is meant to be the Abraxo Cleaner skin for the washer and dryer set. This is actually a decent-looking skin that many players are looking forward to get and picking it up, so I definitely recommend you to jump on and get this sorted. That is all the information you need and about this upcoming event starting on May 7th and lasting until the 21st of May.

  • Fallout 76: How About Alien Blaster That Dropped From The Recent Invaders From Beyond Event?

    Posted: May 06, 2024

In this guide, we’re going to talk about a unique pistol in Fallout 76, Alien Blaster. It’s by far one of the most effective pistols in the game, but only in certain situations, so let me show you how to get it and how to really make the most of it.

With the recent Invaders from Beyond alien-themed event in full swing, the plans for the weapon and mods may be dropped as rewards for the event. So this is a great opportunity for new players to access it.

    Gameplay

If you’ve ever wanted to try a pistol, this is your chance. Unfortunately, it’s a single-shot weapon, so you have to click every time you shoot. But the weapon fires fast enough that you can fire quickly with a single mouse click.

Bullets have flight time and can hit objects in between, so keep this in mind if you’re shooting normally. But if you use VATS, then the shot will automatically track the enemy, so generally VATS is the best choice for Blaster.

It’s a weird and interesting weapon, and it’s really fun to see the ball target enemies. If you configure it correctly, it works very well and I’ll show you what you need.

One thing to note is that Cryo Weapons may become debuffed if PTS changes make their way into the main game. So now is the perfect time to see Blaster at its most powerful.

    How To Unlock It?

The easiest way to get an Alien Blaster is to pick it up from the world. You can find it at Toxic Pond, an unmarked spot in Toxic Valley area.

Here you need to look for the destroyed house and a pond to the north of it. In the pond, you will find a broken safe underwater. If you have enough Fallout 76 Bottle Caps, it’s a good idea to buy and wear Hazmat Suits or Power Armor to reduce the radiation when you pick it up.

This is a guaranteed spawn point and should be there unless someone has already taken it. If it’s lost, you can try server hopping to find a world that still has it. After learning the plans for the weapon, you’ll start obtaining them from legendary enemies.

    Main Mod

It only has a few mods, but the most important one is Cryo Mod. Besides slowing down enemies, this will cause your shots to create a small cryo explosion. This is one reason Blaster is so effective.

Other mods like Scope or Barrel are great for improving range or accuracy, but Cryo Mod is a must if you want to try out Blaster properly.

I must stress that you can only find plans for the magazine mods through Invaders from Beyond Event, so it pays to do as many as you can before you have plans for the mods. Other mods you can get by scrapping Blasters repeatedly until you learn them.

    Best Legendary Effect

For the legendary effect of this weapon, the most important thing is Two-Shot, for the first legendary star. Because you’re relying on a small cryo explosion, like any other Explosive Launcher, Two-Shot is the best. It’s close to Bloody’s raw damage, but Two-Shot is more effective in actual combat.

Since you’re using something like VATS, something like VATS Enhanced for increased VATS accuracy, or Lucky for extra critical damage are both really good choices for the second star. Also, Rapid for faster fire rate will help, but usually weapon fires fast are fast enough.

For the last star, something like Lucky which adds more critical damage or VATS Enhanced which costs fewer Action Points are two better options. And since you have to reload often, Rapid for faster reload will also help, although Speed Demon mutation will make you fast enough, anyway.

How Are Your Perk Points Allocated?

Since Alien Blaster is a single-shot pistol, you’ll need Gunslinger perks under Agility. Unfortunately, Agility has a lot of useful benefits, so you have to sacrifice other things to increase the damage. But overall, it’s worth the investment.

If you get three or four perk points, remember that it’s most efficient to spread those points across all three perk levels. A perk from Gunslinger, Expert Gunslinger, and Master Gunslinger gives you 30% extra damage for just 3 perk points.

Additionally, using Demolition enhances explosion damage from Cryo Mods. Grenadier increases the size of the explosion. So get as many levels as possible for both.

Since Blaster is also an energy weapon, a few levels of Science will further increase your damage. Critical Savvy and Better Criticals give you more effective critical damage, so they work well with any VATS weapon.

    How To Collect Enough Ammo?

Although Alien weapons have unique ammo types that other weapons don’t have, it’s not too bad to make. Generally speaking, if you use the perks I talked about before, you should get more than enough ammo.

Another method is to repeatedly play Expeditions or Daily Ops to collect ammo. Alternatively, you can use Ammo Converter to convert cheap ammo into Alien Power Cells.

Most pistols are pretty bad compared to Rifles. The exception is the Alien Blaster, so if you want to play as a Space Cowboy, Blaster is a superb choice. It’s fun to use and very effective in combat. So, try it and see, it will bring surprises to your life!

  • Fallout 76: How Can This Handmade Rifle Help You Turn Defeat Into Victory In Battle?

    Posted: Apr 30, 2024

In this guide, I want to show you why I say Handmade Rifle is one of the best Automatic weapons in Fallout 76. Handmade is a rifle similar to AK-47. It’s said to be made from discarded materials, but don’t let the name fool you, it’s a very effective weapon.

You’ll find them starting at level 15, where they fire a 5.56mm round that deals 45 base damage to level 45 weapons. Ammo is also pretty plentiful, especially if you’re fighting a lot of super mutants.

    How To Maximize Damage?

One of the best features of Handmade is that it is very flexible. It fits almost any style. However, I recommend using Automatic Receiver. You can use it as a semi-auto rifle. But if you have more budget for Fallout 76 Bottle Caps, you can also opt for more specialized weapons like Gauss Rifle.

Prime Automatic Receiver will hurt you the most, but I recommend not using Prime Receiver in this case. Because Powerful Automatic Receiver does the same damage and uses standard ammo.

In my case, I chose to use a Tweaked Automatic Receiver. It does less base damage but gives you more critical damage, which is useful. Because my character is built to maximize critical hits, and when you fire, it’s more accurate.

Additionally, you should always equip the range with a Long Barrel, and aligned ones can make your VATS costs slightly lower. Forceful stock not only reduces your VATS costs but also provides you with better durability and improved accuracy.

There are actually two options for magazines: you can choose Armor Piercing Receiver or reduce VATS cost. I prefer Armor Piercing because Tank Killer perk itself doesn’t give you enough armor reduction, and higher-level enemies tend to have a lot of armor.

You can get VATS cost pretty low, but the magazines aren’t big enough and the gun doesn’t do enough damage per round to really warrant getting VATS cost down to that level.

Therefore, choosing Reflex Sights can further reduce VATS costs. But longer scopes provide greater accuracy, and if you use an Unyielding set, you should be aware enough that you don’t need the extra accuracy.

There seems to be a problem with Short Night Vision Scope. Its AP cost is higher than Long Night Vision Scope. Therefore, you should avoid it for the time being.

One of the great things about the Handmade Rifle is that you can use Silencer to stay invisible during combat. There’s no penalty for doing this, and you get extra damage from stealth bonuses.

    Legendary Weapon Effects

As always, which legendaries are best depends on how you want to use the weapon, but I’ll give some ideas. I was lucky enough to get two really nice random drops that I’ll show you so you can compare.

My first one was Bloodied Faster Fire. For characters with lower health, it can deal maximum damage with a single shot. Any other damage buffing legendary is basically the same.

The other is Two Shot Explosive. Normally, two shots are bad because of the inaccuracy of the weapon and the fact that all enemy armor doesn’t necessarily hold up to two bullets. But the explosion it causes is also doubled, so Two Shot Explosive is really good in some situations.

The perks I’m currently using are basically Commando, Tank Killer, and Grenadier, with the addition of standard damage avoiding perks and Critical Savvy to maximize critical hits. Additionally, I use Demolition Expert to maximize explosion damage.

Here, the only difference between the two guns I’m going to show you is these two explosive cards. The first thing you’ll notice is that Two Shot Explosive’s accuracy is very poor. Since I have fairly high perception, I can still hit, but the gun may not be accurate enough in VATS without Unyielding bonus.

Two Shot effect means that the damage numbers will cover each other, so you should double them. So basically a normal shot will do about 300 damage per shot and a critical hit will do about 500 damage per shot. It takes about three shots to kill a Hound and four shots to kill a Super Mutant.

The loss of accuracy in Two Shot effect is severe. Therefore, you should avoid shooting from the hip if possible. Using Ground Pounder perk does improve accuracy significantly, but you give up Grenadier effect.

Aiming is basically the same with and without the card, so if you want to shoot outside of VATS, make sure you aim first.

For Bloodied Handmade, I used Gunsmith perk instead of Demolition Expert for extra durability, but keeping Demolition is fine too.

Even when you’re moving, hip firing is noticeably more accurate than Two Shot. But using Ground Pounder perk makes a big difference when shooting from the hip. You should also reload faster with Ground Pounder perk, but this is only a minor difference.

The most important factor is to make sure you have Speed Demon mutation. This makes your recoil slightly weaker than two shots, and it looks like you’re more concealed, so the blast is sure to alert enemies. Its normal shot damage is about 310, and its critical damage is about 520, so it’s a bit higher than Two Shot Explosive.

In fact, both weapons kill enemies with the same number of shots, but the recoil of Bloodied Handmade is slightly better. If you want to play outside of VATS, Bloodied is definitely more accurate, the accuracy is very good, and the recoil is easy to control.

So overall, if you have low health, Bloody, Explosive, VATS Enhanced Rifle would be ideal. But if you’re running a VATS-less full health character, then Aristocrats or Junkies Explosive would be a suitable alternative. If you have full health and use VATS, Two Shot Explosive will serve you well.

    Outro

All in all, Handmade Rifle is a splendid weapon that fires fast enough and does enough damage to suit a variety of styles. While there are better weapons for specific situations, you really can’t go wrong with a quality Handmade weapon.

  • Fallout 76: Collect Legendary Cores To Master The Legendary Crafting

    Posted: Apr 30, 2024

Legendary Cores and Legendary Modules are crucial components for re-rolling weapons in Fallout 76. This concise guide will cover the mechanic of Legendary crafting system and detail how to acquire Legendary Cores and highlight the most efficient events for participation!

    Legendary Modules

As far as the Legendary crafting system goes, you need 2 things: Legendary Cores and Legendary Modules. The Legendary Modules can be obtained by turning in your extra Legendary Scrips at a legendary exchange machine every day. There will be 500 script available each day, and the amount of script needed varies depending on the item's star rating.

Once you've acquired the script, you can visit Purveyor Murmrgh at the Rusty Pick to purchase up to 100 Legendary Modules for a maximum of 5,000 scrips. These Legendary Modules are then saved up and used alongside your legendary Cores for weapon rolls at a weapons workbench.

    How To Get Legendary Cores?

In the next part of this guide, I'll cover the basics of Legendary Cores and how to obtain them. Let's dive into the details!

    Public Events

Venture into the heart of the action with the event 'Colossal Problem', where you'll face off against the Earl, a formidable opponent. This event is a surefire way to net yourself 8 Legendary Cores.

However, if speed is what you're after, then 'Encryptid' is the event for you. This action-packed event not only rewards you with 8 Legendary Cores but also grants you 4 Treasury Notes and improved repair kits to boot.

Don't overlook other public events like 'Free Range' and 'Project Paradise', as they too provide opportunities to obtain some Legendary Cores, albeit with varying probabilities depending on the event's success rate.

For those seeking a guaranteed payout, look no further than the Scorchbeast Queen: Scorched Earth nuke event. Upon successful completion, you'll walk away with a hefty haul of 5 Legendary Cores.

Keep in mind that the quantity of cores and their chances of dropping differ from event to event. While completing 'A Colossal Problem' with a couple of robots alive ensures at least 1 Legendary Core, 'Campfire Tales' offers a range of legendary cores, from 2 to 6, depending on the outcome.

    Daily Ops

Legendary Cores can also be obtained by completing Daily Ops, although this is less likely than with events like 'Encryptid'. The rewards are contingent upon the mission's successful execution, with increased probabilities for superior rewards when accomplished within the Elder Tier.

While participation in 'Encryptid' may require an investment of 1700 Fallout 76 Bottle Caps, (if possessing 25 Charisma), Daily Ops present a cost-free avenue for engagement. Nonetheless, allocating additional caps towards Assaultron recall keycards for 'Encryptid' can prove to be a more efficient method for farming Legendary Cores, especially if you possess surplus caps to spare.

    Legendary Crafting

To perform the Legendary crafting, head to a weapons workbench and select the 'Modify' option for the specific weapon you wish to enhance. Opt for the 'Random Legendary Mods' option, enabling you to randomly alter the first, second, and third effects on the item.

This process involves a combination of Legendary Cores and Modules, the quantity of which varies based on the desired star rating of the item. For instance, a 1-star roll necessitates one core and two modules, while a 2-star roll demands 3 cores and 3 modules. The outcome of the roll is ultimately randomized, potentially resulting in a 1-star, 2-star, or 3-star item, with the possibility of reaching 4 and 5-star ratings.

  • Fallout 76: Power Armor Can Be Obtained In These Locations With Ease!

    Posted: Apr 29, 2024

In this Fallout 76 guide, I'm going to highlight several locations where we can swiftly acquire a full set of T-45 or T-51 power armor right after leaving the Vault 76. This guide is especially useful for new players looking to gear up fast! Without wasting time, let’s get straight into it.

    Gilman Lumber Mill

To find the first piece of armor, start from Vault 76 and head to the Gilman Lumber Mill. Run through the area, and you'll spot various scraps. Previously abandoned, it now houses the Responders. Look for a power armor workbench where you can collect T-45 power armor. If it's already been taken, you may need to leave and rejoin the world for it to refresh.

    Forward Station Tango

Forward Station Tango is conveniently located near Vault 76 and features a fallen aircraft, which was previously an empty area save for the aircraft wreckage. Recently, developers have populated the site with various elements and NPCs. Players can find another set of power armor stationed with T-45 power armor in this place.

If the power armor isn't present upon arrival, simply pause the Fallout 76, exit the world, and rejoin. Upon returning, if the armor remains unclaimed, it should be available for collection. Repeat this process until successful.

    Blue Ridge Bunkhouse

The Blue Ridge Bunkhouse, another recent addition near Vault 76, offers another opportunity to acquire power armor. Upon entering, head to the left where a tradesman awaits, allowing you to trade your collected items. You'll also find another power armor station featuring more T-45 power armor there.

This location is ideal for early-game players, and there may even be plans available. By hopping between worlds, you can easily farm for these items. Additionally, the loot in this area is on a rotation, offering various items for collection. It's highly recommended to collect the armor and sell it for a decent amount of Fallout 76 Bottle Caps in your own shop.

    Silva Homestead

Our next destination is the Silva Homestead, which is incredibly easy to find. You've likely visited this location before, but you might not have explored this particular area. Head inside, and you'll find another piece of power armor, maybe the T-45 power armor once again. This makes it ideal for low-level players to easily acquire a full set of armor.

    Mama Dolce's Food Processing

The next one is the Mama Dolce's Food Processing area. When you enter, be cautious, as there are numerous traps scattered around. However, amidst the danger, you'll find another piece of power armor, likely the T-51 power armor.

    Eastern Regional Penitentiary

Our next destination brings us to the Eastern Regional Penitentiary, which is a bit off the beaten path but accessible from Morgantown Station. While still early in the game, Vault 76 is nearby.

In this location, you'll encounter super mutants, providing an opportunity to farm for power armor pieces ranging from T-51 to T-45. Although not the most efficient spot, it offers a chance to collect a near-complete set of T-51 power armor, with only the right leg and left arm missing.

    Grafton Dam

The next location is the Grafton Dam, located not far from the Eastern Regional Penitentiary. Upon arrival, we'll head down and handle any obstacles along the way. A solid build can allow us to sneak past enemies effortlessly. After navigating through this area, you'll find another piece of power armor waiting to be collected.

    The Coop

Finally, let me introduce to you the Coop, which is not far from the Blue Ridge Bunkhouse. Power armor is rare here, but still worth discovering. However, if you can find one, it'll likely be the T-45 power armor. But even if the armor isn't here, there's still a reward for visiting.

Inside the steamer trunk, you'll find some valuable loot. Keep an eye out for the trunks, as they often contain better loot than standard containers and require no special skills to open. So even though there's no power armor in there, you're still getting some goodies.

  • Fallout 76: Follow These Tips To Help You Hit Your Daily Currency Cap Effortlessly! - 2024 Caps Farming Guide

    Posted: Apr 29, 2024

In Fallout 76, Bottle Cap is a currency used to purchase items, fast travel, and trade. Players earn caps by completing tasks, killing enemies, or selling items to vendors and other players.

Since the game’s maximum daily storage limit for this currency is 1400 caps, any currency over the cap will be wasted. Caps farming has therefore been one of the challenging aspects of leveling up. But don’t worry, this guide will explain the simplest strategies and tips for collecting thousands of Bottle Caps quickly. Let’s get started quickly!

    Complete Mission

The first and easiest way is to play games. The game gives out dozens of Fallout 76 Bottle Caps every time you complete a mission. You’ll find this out early in the game.

But what’s less obvious is that when team members complete tasks, you also gain a small amount of cap. Even if you don’t do anything to help with the mission, it’s basically free money.

It’s worth noting that having a higher Charisma increases the reward by approximately +5% per base charisma point.

Additionally, you can also obtain these caps by killing enemies and finding Cap Stashes while exploring. Don’t forget there’s a Luck-based perk called Cap Collector, which with luck can increase the number of caps you find in Cap Stashes. But this is limited to Cap Stashes, so it’s only worth equipping it while exploring if you’re broke and desperately need caps.

    Purified Water For Sale

Then, selling Purified Water is also one of the most reliable ways to get caps early. It’s not as useful as the crops that provide you with Adhesive and Food, but Purified Water is a better thing to have in your camp.

You’ll need to find plans at Overseer’s Caches at Camp McClintock and Capitol DMV. You’ll be sent there on a mission, but there’s nothing stopping you from getting Water Purifier early on.

They must be installed in the water, and their appearance and operation will be very familiar to anyone who has played Fallout 4. One difference is that they produce a lot, but have very small storage limits, so you have to empty them regularly to maximize production.

You can also get a small purifier when attending events at the racetrack. It’s the only device that can be installed on an external water source, but it produces the least amount of water and isn’t very useful when you want to farm water for caps.

Another easy way to get Purified Water is to go to another player’s camp to get it. No one cares if you take some water from their purifier. However, anyone who does this will have a lock on their machine.

    Farming Crops

As mentioned before, farming crop is also a reliable way to obtain small amounts of caps. I rarely bother cooking them before selling because you don’t get much more out of them than raw vegetables.

There are also a number of locations to the west of the map, such as Billings Homestead, where there are plenty of crops you can pick if you want cash. One tip here is if you have Green Thumb perk that doubles your harvest, equip it.

    Collect Meats

Additionally, you can obtain various types of meat through exploration and combat, so it should be fairly easy to earn Nutrition bonuses by eating meat. And any excess meat can be sold, and you’d be surprised how much money you can make just selling the cooked meat you get this way. And since most meat rots, you’re better off selling it.

If you want to find more sources of meat, public events are helpful for this, as they tend to throw enemies at you, and many of them are edible.

It’s not uncommon to get the bulk of your 1400 daily cap by selling meat after jamborie. And you can get even more by equipping Butcher’s Bounty perk under Perception.

    Selling Excess Junk & Medicines

I believe that most players have had the experience of running out of inventory and stash space in the early days because of the continued excess of junk. So don’t be afraid to sell most of them.

You don’t need to keep every type of material in inventory. Keep one to two hundred at most and sell the rest. You have to sell zero-value items in bulk to maximize your profits, because higher-value items will sell for more.

It’s a similar situation with Medicines, you don’t need hundreds of each. I usually sell Rad-X, RadAway, and Stimpaks in that order. Radiation protection and curing are not an issue for me since I have Power Armor and other gear to minimize radiation.

I’ll keep about 20 of them and sell the rest if the supplier wants to. I currently have over 400 Stimpaks in my inventory because every time I play, I get more than I can sell.

Additionally, it’s a good idea to sell excess Grenades. You won’t be restricted too much, but they are a bit heavy, so to free up inventory space, this is a good idea.

Sell The Right Items In The Suitable Place

Something to remember is that items for sale take up storage space. So I would suggest that you’d better stick to selling light items. The game will give you a suggested price, and most players will sell for a quarter or half the price if they want to earn the daily cap.

How much money you make depends entirely on how many players come to your camp, so setting up somewhere with high traffic is a good idea. The same goes for having a lot of items, players will be drawn to check out camp with lots of plans.

Reaching the income cap in Fallout 76 isn’t too difficult once you’ve played the game for a while. Because just playing the game will net you enough Bottle Caps, as long as you don’t spend it like there’s no tomorrow. But you can also take steps to maximize your gains through cooking and farming, and find things to buy to stay under the cap.

  • Fallout 76: 5 Must-Have Items For Building The Perfect Camp

    Posted: Apr 28, 2024

Nowadays, many new players have joined the Fallout 76, and it seems like quite a few of them have started experimenting with the camp building system. There are certain camp items that aid in building your camp, and others that enhance it in various ways. So today I’ll show you 5 camp items and how you can obtain them.

    1. Flamethrower Trap

The Flamethrower Trap is the first and most crucial camp item for those looking to elevate their camp-building experience. Whether you want to conceal one item within another or start a rooftop creation, the Flamethrower Trap is your go-to tool.

To obtain this essential camp item, you'll need to delve into various stories and questlines. Begin your journey by visiting the Charleston Fire Department and locating the overseer's cache, initiating the quest 'Into the Fire'.

Upon completing this initial quest, you'll unlock the opportunity to embark on another quest titled 'The Missing Link', leading you to a location known as Top of the World. There, you'll interact with a Raider robot named Rose, kicking off a new series of questlines centered on the Raiders faction.

Be prepared to complete every Free States and Raider questline, with a pivotal moment occurring at Abbie's Bunker during the quest 'Coming to Fruition'. Once you've achieved this quest, you'll finally obtain your Flamethrower Trap. Though the journey may be arduous, the reward is well worth the effort, allowing you to unleash your creativity and enhance your camp-building endeavors.

    2. Chessboard

Let's delve into the Chessboard next. While this item is completely free, acquiring it will require a bit of effort. You can obtain it through the seasons or scoreboard, typically unlocking it around Level 30. Despite its name, the Chessboard is more than just a chessboard, it's a versatile display item.

With this item, you can showcase items in your camp, adding a unique touch to your decor. For instance, if you're keen on setting up a table adorned with dinner plates, knives, and forks, the Chessboard makes it possible. It enhances the immersion of your camp as you adorn it with various items and create personalized displays.

    3. Catwalk

The next item I want to discuss is the catwalks. While they do require some Fallout 76 Bottle Caps, there's an alternative option. You can work your way up through the scoreboard or season to earn them. However, they're relatively inexpensive, so you can choose to get them outright or put in some effort to obtain them.

The Catwalk offers versatility and convenience, making camp building significantly easier in specific scenarios. It can also enable you to freely place walls anywhere you desire. With a simple blueprint, you can lay down walls in minutes, eliminating the need for a Foundation. They're handy for double-walling in tight spaces. While Foundations are typically used for this purpose, Catwalks offer an alternative solution, especially in constrained building zones.

    4. Utility Box Fusion Generator

The next item you need to get is the Utility Box Fusion Generator and this one’s another Atomic shop item. Like the Catwork, you can get these items the way you want. This item is better than any other generator for one simple reason - rather than having to attach a wire to everything from the generator, this produces power within a range. Once you’ve placed this down, any item that is within its radius that requires power. This is actually a very handy item. It will tidy up the wiring of your campsite and work great on its own.

    5. Pressure Plate

Now, let's discuss our last item - the Pressure Pate. This item is crucial if you want to execute the merge glitch. The merge glitch allows you to combine items together, resulting in unique creations. By merging a chessboard into a table using the pressure plate, you can achieve a seamless look at where the items appear to be resting on the table surface.

The Pressure Plate is entirely free, you can obtain it from various vendors, including the Free States vendor at the Whitespring Resort, Graham super mutant, the MODUS production terminal in the Whitespring Bunker, the shopping mall vendor at the Whitespring Resort, vendor bot Wallace at Berkeley Springs Station, and the Watoga vendor bot in Watoga. When searching for the plan, remember that it's categorized under Advanced Power Connectors.
