Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred Will Expand Torment from 4 Tiers to 12 and Sync with The Pit's Full Ladder
Less than a month remains until the launch of Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred. Since this update is essentially version 2.0 of the game, nearly everything is changing: every build you've ever used will see major adjustments, and many new builds will emerge.
But while a lot of attention will go to the new items, the significant overhaul of the difficulty system might be overlooked by many players. And the experiments the developers ran with endgame difficulty in Season 12 suggest this could have a massive impact on how we experience the game.

Torment Tiers
First, the biggest change: Torment Tiers. Many players probably haven't heard about this yet, because it has only been confirmed in a single interview. One of the lead developers of Diablo 4 revealed that after the expansion launches, we will have 12 Torment Tiers.
Some players might not like this news, as it brings back memories of the excessive difficulty levels in Diablo III - most of which felt pointless, just raw number stacking. But in Diablo IV, this system is designed to be far more reasonable.
Currently, Diablo 4 has four Torment Tiers. These are directly tied to the difficulty of The Pit and The Tower, because they share the same scaling mechanics. Clearing a certain level of The Pit unlocks the corresponding Torment Tier.
Lord of Hatred simply extends this logic upward to Torment 12, aligning it perfectly with the highest levels of The Pit and The Tower. Right now, the four Torment Tiers correspond to roughly Pit level 55, while the 12 Torment Tiers will scale all the way to the maximum level of The Pit and The Tower.
The developers are just taking the existing difficulty system and expanding it across the entire game world, letting you play all content at those higher difficulty levels. Since The Pit and The Tower were never designed for players to reach their top levels, almost no one will actually get to Torment 12.
Choosing Difficulty in the Open World
In Season 12, once you reached Torment 4 with a strong build, most of the game became trivial. Then you'd step into The Pit, and after reaching your limit, nearly every enemy could one-shot you while you barely scratched them.
Unless you have a bugged build or something far beyond expectations, you won't clear the highest difficulty. But below that, you can make all content as challenging as you want - and with greater challenge come better rewards: more experience, more gold, and higher quality Diablo 4 items dropped by bosses and monsters.
If you have a top-tier endgame build and want to farm Helltide, you could now choose to do so at Torment 8. That way, content that used to be a mindless steamroll becomes difficult and engaging again. Many top builds barely feel different above Torment 4 - the difference only shows in The Pit and The Tower. Having more difficulty tiers gives you a much clearer sense of your build's strength.
You can think of this as the foundation layer of the difficulty system. Once you reach the endgame, the new War Plans system will add a host of extra mechanics that further deepen the endgame difficulty.
War Plans
War Plans Playlists
War Plans system consists of two core parts. The first part is War Plan itself. You choose from several different plans. After selecting a War Plan and its associated playlist, you'll see an interface where you pick five activities in sequence. Each activity has different options and comes with a randomized bonus reward.
For example, suppose you pick Helltide as one of the five activities in your War Plan playlist. After completing that Helltide, you'll get an extra reward - randomly generated when you selected the activity. And of course, this bonus is added on top of all the usual drops from Helltide.
As you complete more War Plan playlists, you'll accumulate more loot. The developers haven't said whether this will also increase the overall difficulty, but most likely the difficulty does not stack.
Activity Experience
Each time you finish an activity in the playlist, you earn activity experience for that specific endgame activity. Every endgame activity currently in the game will have its own meta-progression skill tree. That means a total of seven different skill trees, with possibly more to come.
Every time you engage with and complete something through War Plans system, you gain experience for that activity, allowing you to invest points into its skill tree. This can completely change how that activity plays and what rewards it offers.
developers have given some examples, and some of these changes will significantly affect the actual difficulty of the activity - not in terms of numeric scaling, but through changes to mechanics and gameplay.
Other Factors Affecting Difficulty
Beyond the pure difficulty changes, the expansion's balance adjustments will also completely transform the experience. We already know that all passive skills from the skill tree will be removed. Many multiplicative damage bonuses will be moved to other systems. This should allow the development team to balance the game more precisely and reduce stat inflation overall.
At the same time, Horadric Cube and Talisman System will be added to further boost character power. You will have countless ways to craft different builds, which might push every current build 5 to 10 levels higher in The Pit.

If you are the type of player who prefers to wait until a dungeon or raid is fully released before diving in, then now is the perfect time to experience the raids of WoW Midnight Season 1!
This is because, among the season's three raids, Dreamrift opened on March 17th; March on Quel'Danas is scheduled for April 7th; while Voidspire was released in segments on March 17th, 24th, and 31st.
In other words, you can now play through the entirety of both Dreamrift and Voidspire. If you progress quickly enough, you'll be perfectly poised to jump into March on Quel'Danas when it launches just one week from now!
With that in mind, this guide focuses on Voidspire raid, a challenge you can tackle immediately, offering a wealth of content to explore. If you're interested, be sure to read through to the very end!

Voidspire raid overview
This raid is located within Voidstorm zone and requires your character to reach Level 90 before you can enter. Throughout the challenge, you will encounter six bosses. The available difficulty options for the raid include Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic, Story Mode, and Mythic.
Not all difficulty levels and raid sections were released simultaneously, they were rolled out in phases throughout the month of March:
- March 17: Raid Finder Wing 1, Normal, Heroic
- March 24: Raid Finder Wing 2, Story Mode, Mythic
- March 31: Raid Finder Wing 3
However, since it is now April, you are free to attempt any difficulty level that your capabilities allow. Furthermore, aside from the level requirement, there are no other prerequisites for entering this raid; simply travel to /way 2405 45.5 64.4 to find the entrance.
Defeating any boss within the raid awards WoW Midnight gold as a baseline reward; however, the quality of other loot drops, such as gear, will vary depending on the difficulty level of the boss defeated.
Tier 1 Boss: Imperator Averzian
The six bosses in Voidspire raid can be broadly categorized into four tiers based on their difficulty, with higher tiers yielding items of a higher item level.
Among these, Imperator Averzian is the sole boss in Tier 1. At the start of the encounter, he utilizes an ability called Shadow's Advance to gradually encroach upon and claim areas of the battlefield.
If a section of the arena falls under Void Claimed status as a result, it becomes permanently lost and cannot be reclaimed.
Building upon this, if the boss successfully captures three adjacent zones in succession, he will proceed to cast March of the Endless. Furthermore, Dark Tears will manifest above the captured zones, from which the boss's minions will pour forth.
Compounding the challenge, as the battle progresses, the rifts will gradually expand, and the enemies summoned from them will become increasingly formidable.
Consequently, the key to defeating this boss lies in maintaining strict control over him right from the very start of the encounter.
If you opt for a higher raid difficulty setting, certain abilities, including those of Averzian and other bosses, will gain additional effects or become significantly more potent; therefore, you must choose your difficulty level with extreme caution.
Tier 2 Bosses: Vorasius and Fallen-King Salhadaar
Vorasius
This boss's primary method of attack involves utilizing his massive arms to cast Smashing Frenzy, thereby generating Void Crystal barriers across the battlefield.
Subsequently, he casts Aftershock, dealing damage to the player party in the form of outward-expanding ripple waves.
If you are struck by Smashing Frenzy, you will be afflicted with Smashed debuff. Conversely, if no players are struck, the entire raid group will suffer massive damage.
Fallen-King Salhadaar
Once the battle begins, several mechanical devices will appear within the arena; the boss can draw energy charges from these devices. When his energy reaches 100 points, Vorasius will begin casting Cosmic Unraveling.
During this phase, the mechanical devices will continuously generate Orbs of Concentrated Void; Salhadaar will periodically draw these orbs toward himself and cast Reckless Infusion.
If you destroy these orbs prematurely, doing so will inflict Galactic Miasma debuff upon all players. Furthermore, while Cosmic Unraveling is active, Uncontainable Cosmos contained within the boss will erupt, unleashing Cosmic Barrage.
Tier 3 Bosses: Vaelgor & Ezzorak and Lightblinded Vanguard
Vaelgor & Ezzorak
This encounter effectively features two co-bosses, a brother and sister duo. Initially, they will alternate between aerial and ground combat, swapping positions by casting Midnight Flames; ultimately, they will join forces on the ground to launch a combined, all-out assault.
Notably, during this battle, you will be aided by Lightbound Vanguard as allies; they are capable of providing a Radiant Barrier, serving as a protective sanctuary, to nearby players.
If a player makes direct contact with an enemy during combat, they will be afflicted with Gloomtouched. Additionally, enemies will utilize Nullbeam to create a Nullzone and establish a link with a player; if you stretch this link too far, it will trigger a Nullsnap or Nullzone Implosion.
Lightblinded Vanguard
This encounter consists of a combination of multiple mini-bosses: Lightblood, Bellamy, and Senn, all of whom are members of Lightblinded Vanguard.
At the start of the battle, each boss begins with full energy and grants a buff to their two allies:
- Lightblood: While at full health, Lightblood activates Aura of Wrath, increasing Holy damage dealt by all allies within a 40-yard radius by 100%, while simultaneously inflicting 20 damage per second to any players standing within that area.
- Senn: If you attack any other enemy while under the effects of Aura of Peace, you will be afflicted with a Pacify effect.
- Bellamy: After you are struck by Divine Toll, Bellamy applies a lingering Silence effect to you.
Tier 4 Boss: Crown of the Cosmos
In this ultimate boss encounter within Voidspire raid, the true adversary you face is Alleria Windrunner.
She launches periodic attacks, utilizing Void-based effects and Silverstrike Arrow to strike indiscriminately at both allies and enemies alike.
During this phase, Undying Sentinels will appear on the battlefield to engage and contain the boss; however, once all the sentinels have been eliminated, the boss will lunge onto the platform and create a Rift Simulacrum.
This simulacrum will utilize Call of the Void and Ranger General's Mark to attack you and your party. You can destroy the simulacrum, but doing so will trigger the boss to unleash an even more intense barrage of void attacks.

How to Complete April Spotlight Program Drop 1?
Missions
The missions in this program are very easy to finish and can be done in any game mode. Here's the main task list:
- Earn 3,000 Parallel XP in any mode using any players.
- Earn 1,000 Parallel XP in any mode using Topps Now or Spotlight Series players.
- Get 20 Hits with Infielders in any mode.
- Record 15 Strikeouts with Starting Pitchers in any mode.
Completing all the above missions will give you 50 points, which means you can theoretically finish the entire program without touching any Moments.

While you're playing modes like Mini Seasons, focus on completing the strikeout mission and the infielder hits mission. As you play through games, Parallel XP missions will naturally get done as well.
Moments and Missions Hybrid
If you want to get through the program at a decent pace, start by completing a few simple Moments to earn the first two Topps Now player cards, then use those cards to tackle the subsequent missions.
You only need 10 points to get the first Topps Now card. Completing 3 Moments (4 points each) will get you there. Then slot that card into your main lineup. Head into Mini Seasons or another mode and start grinding the missions.
Pure Moments
If you're short on time and just want to earn points quickly, completing all 8 Moments will directly give you 32 points. Moments in this program are generally not difficult. You can get through them with ease.
This program isn't hard, and the mission design is reasonable, allowing players to complete it in multiple ways. The only real drawback is the lack of repeatable missions, but overall, that's a minor flaw in an otherwise solid program.

In Diablo 2 Resurrected, one of the most important endgame items is arguably Sunder Charm. There are many varieties, and their core function is to remove monster immunities. Although monsters still retain elemental resistances, this is enough to let you take them down swiftly.
Before Season 13, Sunder Charms were relatively common. However, with the official adjustments made during that season, they have become extremely rare, and their value has soared. Let's take a look at what changed and how you can farm them.

Sunder Charm
Sunder Charms have undergone a major rework. There are currently two versions of Sunder Charm in the game:
Latent Sunder Charm
This is the version players were familiar with in the past. It still drops today, but the drop rate has been drastically reduced, making it extremely rare and highly valuable.
Renewed Sunder Charm
This is an enhanced version obtained by upgrading a Latent Sunder Charm through new endgame content. You will need to defeat Uber Colossal Ancients, then craft it using a Sunder Charm along with runes and other materials. Renewed Sunder Charm comes with powerful affixes, making it far stronger than Latent Sunder Charm.
How to Get Sunder Charm?
Magic Find
The drop rate of Sunder Charms is directly tied to your character's Magic Find. Therefore, before you start farming Sunder Charms, the most important thing is to ensure your Magic Find reaches at least 300 points. Even with over 300 MF, you will still need to defeat an average of 150 or more Heralds to obtain one Sunder Charm.
Alternatively, you can take advantage of Souls Dance easter egg to gain 4200 MF. In reality, this is only slightly better than 400–500 MF you can get from gear. The upside is that you can completely skip wearing MF equipment and instead stack pure damage or survival stats to improve farming efficiency.
To optimally farm Heralds, you need to turn the entire game into a Terror Zone. In this situation, the easter egg becomes very useful.
Player Count
Heralds share a drop mechanism similar to that of Council Members - they drop many high-quality items, with a loot table somewhere between normal bosses and Council Members. Player Count not only affects Magic Find but also directly influences the drop rate.
If you want Sunder Charms, a high Player Count is essential. Player Count works somewhat like Torment difficulty in Diablo 4 - it increases monster strength, while elite enemies and unique monsters drop more items.
You don't necessarily need to crank it all the way to Player 8. Prioritize a setting where you can still defeat monsters comfortably, ensuring your farming efficiency remains high.
Area Affixes
Just like maps in Path of Exile, you need to pay attention to area affixes when farming. If Terror Zone has the Extra Strong affix, and you use a Worldstone Shard to turn the entire Act into a Terror Zone, then every monster in that Act gains Extra Strong affix (a 250% damage bonus), making them extremely dangerous. So you'll want to look for affixes that are not crippling - or even harmless - to your build. For example:
- Fire Enchanted / Cold Enchanted / Light Enchanted: Increases global monster resistances; harmless for builds not using that element.
- Spectral Hit: Adds small amounts of fire, cold, and lightning resistance and corresponding damage.
- Extra Fast: Monsters will rush you more quickly, which can improve efficiency - but be cautious in Hardcore mode.
- Stone Skin: Adds 50 physical resistance. Physical builds should avoid this.
Draw the Ire of Herald
To get Sunder Charms, your primary target is Herald. Enter Terror Zone, find and kill elite monsters - this will summon Herald. Elites are usually concentrated near the starting area of Terror Zone. Simply teleport around these areas and kill the elites you encounter.
If a Herald appears quickly in your first Terror Zone and starts hunting you, that game is worth keeping. If not, restart the game, look for a favorable global affix, and repeat the process until you find a game where a Herald is drawn to you early.
Terrorize the Entire Game
Once you've quickly spawned your first Herald in a game with favorable affixes, use Worldstone Shards to turn the whole game into a Terror Zone. Each shard corresponds to one Act; you only need to right-click each shard once, and every Act in the game becomes a Terror Zone. Note: This method might be adjusted in the future, but for now it is the most efficient approach.
Once the entire game is terrorized, Herald's level increases as you keep killing elites, up to a maximum of level five. You must stay in the same game and not exit, because Herald's level scales with the cumulative number of summons within that game. Higher-level Heralds have a greater chance to drop top-tier items - especially Sunder Charms.
Farming Order
Once you have spawned the first Herald (Lv1), prioritize the toughest, highest-damage monsters before reaching a level 5 Herald. Even at level five, monsters in Acts IV and V are stronger than their level 5 counterparts in earlier acts. Additionally, there are two special locations:
- Act II Tal Rasha's Tombs: Contains a large number of elite monsters.
- Act III Flayer Shaman: When a Flayer Shaman is fully spawned, the corpse beneath it generates an additional minion, effectively giving you two drop chances per kill.
The ideal order is to first clear the initial Terror Zone (to quickly spawn the first Herald), then move to Acts IV and V, prioritizing elites in those acts to continue summoning higher-level Heralds. After you have summoned Heralds of Terror, go back to Acts III and II to farm even more Heralds.
Keep in mind that the drop rate for Sunder Charms is very low. You may need to farm hundreds of Heralds in a row to get just one. So don't get impatient while farming, and may luck be on your side throughout the process.
