WOW Shadowlands Patch 9.1: How To Get Korthian Catch-Up Gear?

Now WOW Shadowlands patch 9.1 has been released, it introduces Korthian catch-up gear. Even if you regularly clear Castle Nathria on Normal difficulty or higher, farm Mythic 15+ keys, or have a complete armory of PvP Conquest gear, it is worth your time to get some new Korthian catch-up gear. If you have a stable level 60 alts, they will benefit from your main hard work, although the ability to upgrade gear makes it a viable way to increase the item level of your toons.
You can get Korthian Catch-up gear in Korthia, or through daily quests, or buy Korthian catch-up gear with Stygia.
Korthian catch-up gear can be found in the new Maw area of Korthia. To unlock it, you need to complete the first few chapters of The Chains of Domination patch 9.1 campaign. Now IGGM will provide three different ways to get Korthian catch-up gear, you can refer to the following methods.
Kill rare creatures within Korthia
One of the ways to get Korthian catch-up gear in Shadowlands is to kill rare creatures within Korthia. Emphasis on Korthia: the new zone may be part of Maw, but the new gear is tied to Korthia. Rare creatures will be marked with a star on the map and mini-map. When killed, they have a chance to randomly drop a piece of Korthian catch-up gear for your class. These drops are bind-on-pickup and can drop at any upgrade level.
Daily quests in Korthia
Not every Daily quest will have Korthian gear as a reward, but those will provide an item for your class, although like drops from rare creatures the upgrade level is determined randomly. These Korthian gear rewards are also bind-on-pickup.
Buy a Korthian Armaments token
The last way to get Korthian catch-up gear is to buy a Korthian Armaments token from the Death's Advance quartermaster in Korthia: Duchess Mynx at Keeper's Respite. You need to reach Friendly reputation with Death's Advance, you can get it in the first week of Shadowlands patch 9.1 Easy to reach. Once you are friendly with Death’s Advance, you can buy a Korthian Armamaent token for 1000 Stygia.
The benefit of Korthian catch-up gear
The biggest advantage of Korthian catch-up gear is that it can be upgraded to item level 233 to compete with Sanctum of Domination raid Normal difficulty loot. This will require some grinding, but it means that it is not only good for alts in Shadowlands, but can also be used to plug holes in your main equipment.
Now that patch 9.1 has been released, you can start your adventure in The Chains of Domination. If you need WOW Gold, you can buy them now from IGGM.
Because many players now want to focus on the game itself, but the economic system in the game is also inevitable, so grinding will make many players feel entangled because it is very time-consuming, so now the trend of buy WOW Gold has become more and more obvious, which not only saves time but also guarantees a good gaming experience, so this is a win-win situation.
Google is updating how content is shown. Don't miss our expert gaming guides, item trading insights, and latest patch updates, by setting IGGM as a preferred source.

WoW Midnight Season 2 Mythic+ DPS Tier List | Only These 4 Specs Are S-Tier for High Keys
For players aiming for high keys, WoW Midnight Season 2 Mythic+ is launching in North America (August 18th). After final adjustments in Patch 12.1 and extensive testing, the strength of each DPS specialization in the high keys environment is quite clear. Let's take a look at their strength ranking in Season 2 Mythic+:
- Tier S: Arcane Mage, Arms Warrior, Outlaw Rogue, Windwalker Monk
- Tier A: Frost Death Knight, Elemental Shaman, Havoc Demon Hunter, Balance Druid
- Tier B: Unholy Death Knight, Destruction Warlock, Enhancement Shaman, Shadow Priest

Tier S
Arcane Mage
Arcane Mage firmly holds its place as a Tier S DPS specialization in WoW Midnight Season 2 Mythic+, not only for its terrifying damage output in boss fights but also for its ability to clear surrounding mobs while precisely targeting high-priority enemies.
Although Arcane Mage's Primal Leywarden's Attire two-piece set was nerfed in Season 2 because of its overwhelming power, slightly pushing its leading position, it didn't significantly affect its damage output in high keys, maintaining its Tier S status.
Arms Warrior
In fact, Arms Warrior is almost on par with Arcane Mage. Its performance in prioritizing target kills is overwhelming, its boss damage is also considerable, and its survivability is excellent.
However, players should note that the bug in Midnight Season 2 where Executioner caused Slayers to receive double rewards has now been fixed, and Arms Warrior's overall performance has returned to expected levels.
However, Arms Warrior's practical value in high keys still warrants its inclusion in Tier S, and it remains the most noteworthy DPS specialization in Tier S.
Outlaw Rogue
Outlaw Rogue closely follows Arcane Mage and Arms Warrior, breaking into Tier S in Season 2 Mythic+.
Its formidable AoE and single-target damage, absurd survivability, and Rogue-like control - in some top-tier rankings, it can even rival the two mentioned above, making it a very promising contender in Tier S.
Windwalker Monk
Windwalker Monk's offensive potential is beyond doubt, deserving a Tier S rating, but the biggest question it raises for players is whether it can survive in high keys.
Patch 12.1 improved Windwalker Monk's consistent damage output, making survivability paramount. In high-key games, even a slight weakness in survivability can be a major concern.
Therefore, while ranked in Tier S, Windwalker Monk still cannot compete with the truly all-around top-tier DPS specializations mentioned earlier.
To address this issue, you might need to utilize higher-level items - such as Concentrated Silvermoon Health Potion added in Patch 12.1 - to compensate for its survivability shortcomings.
Of course, sufficient gold is paramount. IGGM.com WoW Midnight gold for sale can quickly help you fill this gap, allowing Windwalker Monk to completely dominate high keys!
Furthermore, you can earn points through IGGM Check in (new registered users only). Accumulated points can be redeemed for coupons to make your future gold orders even more cost-effective.
Tier A
Frost Death Knight
Frost Death Knight's Tier A ranking is expected.
WoW Midnight Season 2's class adjustments gave Frost Death Knight a 9% base damage bonus, but also weakened its overpowered Season 2 set bonus - the development team seems to want to shift more power to basic skills rather than letting the set take on too much.
The damage is already sufficient, and Frost Death Knight's inherent survivability is very strong, so the class adjustments do not affect its Tier A ranking.
Elemental Shaman
Elemental Shaman is a DPS specialization that easily made it into Tier A, as its performance seems specifically designed for high keys.
With consistent AoE and good single-target damage, plus the full support capabilities of Skyfury and Shaman, the build is relatively complete, allowing players to use Elemental Shaman with confidence in high keys.
Havoc Demon Hunter
The official stance is that Havoc Demon Hunter's single-target damage was too strong, so its four-piece set bonus was heavily nerfed and its Reap skill was weakened.
However, Havoc Demon Hunter also received a 14% base damage increase to compensate, and its AoE portion of Reap remains powerful.
Therefore, Havoc Demon Hunter can still remain in Tier A, becoming one of the most survivable characters in Midnight Season 2 Mythic+.
Balance Druid
Although survivability remains the biggest and most frequently discussed issue, Balance Druid can still maintain its Tier A position.
Its AoE is excellent, and its damage output in high keys is sufficient, so there's no need to place it in a lower tier ranking.

Tier B
Unholy Death Knight
The main reason Unholy Death Knight didn't reach the top tier is its relatively weak single-target damage; its AoE and survivability are actually quite good.
Furthermore, Unholy Death Knight's overall performance in dungeons is quite well-rounded, making it a very strong DPS in Tier B.
Destruction Warlock
Destruction Warlock has the potential to enter a higher tier. Although its previous weakness was burst damage, Patch 12.1 addressed this aspect.
However, considering its competition with the aforementioned DPS classes, Destruction Warlock is safer in Tier B, as Warlocks typically need strong output capabilities to reach higher ranks.
Enhancement Shaman
Enhancement Shaman in WoW Midnight Season 2 Mythic+ is quite interesting - having just received a 5% overall damage boost, its base output and AoE are decent, but it's still more convincing in Tier B.
Shadow Priest
The final Shadow Priest might be a controversial champion, as it does possess a powerful spread cleave, but its mobility, survivability, and total dungeon damage aren't quite enough to place it among the top tiers.
Professional players have wildly varying opinions on Shadow Priest, so Tier B might be a more suitable fit.

Of course, this tier list is only a reference before Season 2 Mythic+ begins; its true strength will be tested in actual gameplay.
If your favorite DPS specialization isn't ranked at the top, don't be discouraged - familiarizing yourself with its rhythm and details is often more important than blindly chasing meta stats.
The gates to WoW Midnight Season 2 Mythic+ are about to open; best of luck on your push!

WoW Midnight Season 2 Gear System Changes | New Upgrade Materials and Endgame Gear Sources
WoW Midnight Season 2 will launch on August 18, bringing another round of gear updates for players.
In Season 2, the official team has made several changes to gear acquisition, including raids, Mythic+ dungeons, and crafted gear. Here are some of the ways to obtain gear during Season 2.

Gear System Changes
Nebulous Voidcore
Extra rolls in Mythic+ dungeons will still require only one Nebulous Voidcore. Raid extra rolls will also require only 1 Nebulous Voidcore, down from the 2 required in Season 1.
Extra rolls will continue to remove items you have already obtained from the loot table as a form of bad-luck protection. This means you will eventually be guaranteed to obtain the item you want, just as in Season 1.
You can now choose extra rolls as a reward option from Great Vault. If the item you receive from Vault is not ideal, you can instead take an additional roll opportunity.
Starting in Week 8 of season 2, Orin Straylight will grant you one additional Voidcore each week. You will also no longer need to travel to Netherstorm to obtain Nebulous Voidcores.
Extra rolls are extremely valuable because items obtained through them will always match the quality of gear from Great Vault. If you participate in Mythic raids, the item will always be at the highest upgrade level.
Ascendant Venomstones
In WoW Midnight 12.1 Season 2 PTR, Ascendant Voidcores were renamed Ascendant Venomstones and will return during the middle of the season.
These items allow gear to be upgraded to higher item levels, but they will not be available at the beginning of Season 2.
Once they become available, you can further increase the item level of fully upgraded Hero track gear, Mythic-quality gear, and the highest-quality crafted gear.
The upgradeable gear types include weapons, trinkets, and the newly added Necklaces, all of which can be upgraded onto Mythic track.
Mythic items upgraded this way will reach item level 334, while Hero items will reach item level 321.
Players can obtain Ascendant Venomstones from Heroic or Mythic raid bosses, Mythic+ dungeons at Level 10 or higher, Level 11 Bountiful Delves, and Nightmare Prey rewards.
Upgrading a single item now requires 10 Ascendant Venomstones, compared with only 5 in Season 1. This indicates that the official team intends to slow down gear progression because the rate of gear accumulation in Season 1 was considered too fast.
If you want to play WoW Midnight, you can join IGGM WoW Game Time Giveaways on Facebook; 5 lucky winners will receive 60 days game time. Even if you're new, this is enough time to catch up on gear.
Matrix Catalyst
Catalyst charges in WoW Midnight Season 2 are called Venomblight Manaflux.
Obtaining the 4-set bonus should be the primary goal. Do not worry too much about the Item Level of the set pieces you initially convert. The first priority is to complete your four-piece Tier Set as quickly as possible.
Even if this means running LFR to complete the 4-piece set, it is worthwhile because you can only start earning additional Catalyst charges after unlocking the 4-set bonus.
Once the 4-piece set is unlocked, you will obtain Catalyst charges from content such as Delves and raid boss kills. Catalyst charges are generally earned about once every two weeks.
Matrix Catalyst will now preserve the secondary stats, tertiary stats, and special effects on the original item.
This means your Best in Slot setup will no longer simply consist of a particular set piece. Instead, the ideal version will be a set piece with specific additional effects.

Great Vault
Great Vault will always reward gear from the next difficulty level based on the content you completed during the previous week. If you clear a Heroic raid, Vault will contain base-level Mythic-quality gear.
For Mythic raid players, Vault will always provide 6/6 Mythic-quality gear without requiring Crests for upgrades.
Mythic raid gear is the strongest gear available in WoW Midnight. Epic-quality gear dropped by the final two raid bosses can reach 9/6 on the upgrade track, exceeding the normal system limit.
Item Level 344 is the highest Item Level in Season 2, and some rare items can also reach this level.
The base gear from Mythic raids is Item Level 334. Keep an eye out for rare items such as trinkets and weapons that are suitable for your class and specialization.

Delves
Delves will remain an important source of WoW Midnight gold, Crests and gear, especially during the early stages of WoW Midnight Season 2.
Hero-quality gear from Bountiful Delve chests requires your Delver's Journey level to reach 9.
However, Trove Hunter's Bounty Map allows you to obtain one piece of Hero-quality gear each week from hidden chests in Level 8 to Level 11 Delves.
The map can be obtained by defeating Delve Nemeses or completing weekly quests.
Once your Prey Hunter's Journey reaches Level 4, you can collect Afflicted Souls from Heavy Chests at the end of each Bountiful Delve at Level 6 or higher.
These souls can accelerate progress during Nightmare Prey hunts and bring out the target more quickly, while also providing one piece of Champion-quality gear per character each week.
Once Prey Hunter's Journey reaches Level 9, using Afflicted Souls in Nightmare Prey will reward Hero-quality gear.
Crafted Gear
Crafted gear still requires Sparks, and their acquisition is time-gated. Most items require 2 Sparks of Tides, while dual-wielded weapons and similar items require 4.
Sparks can be obtained through the weekly quest in Silvermoon City. If you fall behind on Spark acquisition, you can catch up by completing Delves, Mythic+ dungeons, defeating raid bosses, or participating in PvP.
The overall value of crafted gear is slightly lower in WoW Midnight Season 2. Crafted gear using Heroic Crests requires 80 Crests, while directly dropped Hero-quality gear is also Item Level 318 and does not require Crests.
It is recommended to save crafted gear for the later stages of the season, or wait until you can consistently obtain Mythic Crests and then use 80 Mythic Crests to jump directly from Season 1 Item Level to Season 2 Mythic Item Level.
In addition to the methods above, World Quests, weekly quests, and Renown can also provide gear. However, compared with these basic gear sources, Item Level 344 gear is what you should ultimately aim for.

WoW Midnight Patch 12.1 New Altar of Fangs Dungeon: 3 Boss Mechanics to Know before Season 2 Mythic+
Altar of Fangs is a brand new five-player dungeon added in WoW Midnight Patch 12.1, and is also one of the new dungeons rotating in the upcoming Season 2 Mythic+.
The most distinctive feature of Altar of Fangs is the completely different mechanics of its three bosses. Rav'i emphasizes the control of feeding mechanics and terrain resources; The Writhing Coil requires teamwork to complete movement mechanics; and the final boss, Zul'jan, combines beams, poison, and terrain dodging. For teams preparing for Season 2 Mythic+, familiarizing themselves with these core mechanics beforehand is more important than simply upgrading gear levels.
Rav'i
Feeding and Shields

The Rav'i fight revolves around the Carrion Piles in the terrain. Once the boss's energy is depleted, it will move to Carrion Pile to cast Ssscavenging and gain an absorption shield. The entire raid must immediately switch targets and destroy the shield as quickly as possible.
If Rav'i continues to feed, its Fetid Roar will intensify with each feeding, dealing extremely high damage to the entire raid. Therefore, ensuring each feeding is interrupted quickly is crucial.
Tanks also need to be aware of Fresh Meat in Carrion Pile. Rav'i gains Scent of Blood when it approaches piles of rotting flesh infused with Fresh Meat, increasing its attack speed. Therefore, the boss's positioning should be planned in advance to avoid sudden increases in combat pressure due to improper movement.
Avoiding and Raid Damage

After feeding, Rav'i will cast Fetid Roar, dealing raid-wide damage. Healers need to prepare in advance, while DPS should try to minimize the boss's feeding time. Regurgitate releases waves of acid towards the players; the team needs to dodge in time based on the boss's facing direction. Triple Shot inflicts poison damage on players; avoid unnecessary overlap when moving.
The overall strategy for Rav'i is clear: control the boss's position relative to the pile of rotting flesh, quickly break the shield while feeding, and then handle the raid-wide damage.
For players preparing to challenge higher levels of Mythic+, in addition to familiarizing themselves with the boss mechanics, it's equally important to prepare character development and resources in advance, especially after entering Season 2. If you want to complete your preparations more efficiently, you can also buy WoW Midnight gold at IGGM.com to quickly acquire the necessary resources for your character.
Also, don't miss the newly launched IGGM Points System. Register and log in to your account, and participate in daily check-ins to earn points. You can use these points to redeem coupons, directly deducting part of your next order cost.
The Writhing Coil
Vine Grip and Uncoil

The Writhing Coil is the boss in the dungeon that most tests team coordination. During the fight, Death Rattle will continuously inflict increasing raid damage, and Vine Grip is key to resolving this mechanic.
When Vine Grip appears, all surviving players will be linked to the boss via vines. At this point, the entire team must simultaneously move away from the boss, generating enough pull to uncoil The Writhing Coil.
The worst thing to do here is for anyone to continue standing still and attacking. Vine Grip is a raid-wide mechanic; if only some players move, the boss will enter Uncoil later, Death Rattle will last longer, and healers will be under immense pressure.
After successfully pulling the boss, it will enter Uncoil, a crucial window for DPS. DPS should seize this opportunity to use burst abilities and quickly eliminate priority targets based on the raid's situation. In World of Warcraft Midnight Season 2 Mythic+, the ability to consistently utilize these DPS windows directly impacts the team's completion efficiency.
Interruptions and Movement
Toxic Atrophy is a key skill to manage, known as The Writhing Coil. It inflicts poison pressure while reducing player damage and movement speed. Missing interrupts consecutively not only impacts the current fight but can also make the subsequent Vine Grip more difficult to handle, so it's best to plan the interrupt order in advance.
This boss also uses Burrowing Charge to traverse the arena; players need to anticipate its movement path. Venom Jet is a frontal attack, so avoid standing directly in front of the boss. Tanks should be mindful of Tail Scythe and try to keep the boss facing a stable direction.
This fight can be summarized as: interrupting Toxic Atrophy, dodging the charge and frontal attacks, moving together as a team when Vine Grip appears, and focusing DPS during the Uncoil phase.
Zul'jan
Ritual of the Fang

Zul'jan is the final boss of Altar of Fangs and the most complex fight in terms of mechanics. Its most important skill is Ritual of the Fang.
Using Ritual of the Fang will channel energy into the Fang of Ula'tek. If players don't intervene, Zul'jan will gain Fang Empowered, causing the raid to take increasingly higher damage. Therefore, players must actively step into the beam's path to block it.
However, blocking the beam will trigger Ritual Venom, an effect that stacks and, if not dealt with promptly, will cause extremely high damage upon its end. Therefore, blocking the beam is only the first step in the mechanic.
Bloodletting and Arena Control
The key to dealing with Ritual Venom is Bloodletting. Being affected by Bloodletting will cause players to bleed, remove a certain number of stacks of Ritual Venom, and leave dangerous blood pools on the ground.
During combat, we shouldn't treat these skills as independent mechanics, but rather understand their relationships. For Mythic+ teams in WoW Midnight, strategically planning the placement of blood pools and avoiding excessive arena occupation is crucial for improving survivability.
In addition, Axegrinder will throw axes across the arena, requiring players to dodge in advance based on directional cues; Boneslicer will hurl axes towards the player, inflicting continuous damage upon being hit. Tanks need to focus on managing Chop Down and activate damage reduction abilities beforehand.
In summary, the core of Zul'jan is: correctly blocking beams, timely handling of Ritual Venom, proper management of blood pools, and dodging throwing axes and other area-of-effect attacks.
The three battles of Altar of Fangs each have their own focus, making this dungeon quite varied in terms of combat rhythm and team coordination. Mastering the strategies for each boss will allow your team to handle unexpected situations more easily and continuously optimize your tactics in practice.

WoW Midnight Patch 12.1 and Season 2 Release Dates Revealed: The Curse of Ula'tek Update Is Packed with the New Zone, Raids, and More
In stark contrast to the content-starved TBC Classic Anniversary, where the launch of Phase 3 was repeatedly delayed, the update schedule for WoW Midnight this August is packed and substantial.
According to current information, WoW Midnight Patch 12.1 is set to launch on August 11, with Season 2 kicking off seven days later, on August 18. More importantly, Patch 12.1 is not merely routine maintenance; it is a major content update.
Expect a multitude of challenges awaiting you in WoW Midnight starting mid-August. However, with potential loot on the line, gear up and get ready, we'll provide a preview to help you prepare!

Overview of Patch 12.1 and Season 2
As the first major update since WoW Midnight's launch, Patch 12.1, officially titled The Curse of Ula'tek, will introduce Coiled Isle zone, the Venomous Abyss Raid, Altar of Fangs dungeon, and more.
It is worth noting that Patch 12.1 and Season 2 are not entirely separate entities. You can view the latter as part of The Curse of Ula'tek update, albeit with a one-week delay before introducing additional new content.
Coiled Isle Zone
The opening of this new WoW Midnight zone means you can unlock new quests through exploration; the entrances to the new dungeon or raid may also be located here.
However, the core new gameplay feature of Coiled Isle is Vaults of Atal'Utek. Located in one of the island's areas, this feature allows you to earn rewards by tackling group content or participating in rotating public events.
Notably, when participation in Vaults of Atal'Utek public events reaches a certain threshold on the server, all players can collectively unlock and complete a new boss encounter.
Another key feature is the environment itself: Coiled Isle is rife with toxic serpent miasma, and a moment of carelessness can leave you afflicted.
Fortunately, within Vaults of Atal'Utek, you can activate Altar of Corrosion talent tree; unlocking nodes here will not only empower your character but also help you resist the zone's toxins.
In addition to the key features mentioned above, Coiled Isle hosts five locations where elite enemies spawn on a rotating basis, a mechanic known as Curse Surges.
By defeating these monsters or befriending Captain Tokka and increasing your reputation, you can unlock Cursed Fishing gameplay at these five sites.
Venomous Abyss Raid
As a core feature of WoW Midnight Patch 12.1 update, Venomous Abyss Raid consists of eight bosses, culminating in the final encounter against Ula'tek. Defeating Ula'tek grants you the standard rewards plus an additional prize: the new Primeval Skyfriend mount.
The other bosses are:
- Nek'zali the Soulcoiler
- Entombed Sentinels
- The Lost Explorers
- Vashnik the Malignant
- Sszorak
- The Twin Fangs
- The Coiled Altar
Patch 12.1 also introduces further refinements to the raid experience. For instance, you can now acquire Bonus Roll tokens directly from Great Vault vendor, and the cost for an extra loot roll during a raid has been reduced from two tokens to one.
Furthermore, starting in the eighth week after Patch 12.1 launches, you can obtain an extra token weekly from NPC Orin Straylight; this eliminates the need to travel to Voidstorm for the exchange, saving you a significant amount of time.
All-New Lairs gameplay
Lairs are a new feature arriving in Season 2; however, the first lair, Tidebound Grotto, and its boss, Nymrissa Wavecaller, will open early alongside Patch 12.1.
You can think of a lair as a unique, compact raid featuring a single boss, specifically a variant of an existing world boss. Each lair accommodates a group of 15 to 25 players and allows you to adjust the difficulty level.
Although the difficulty is slightly lower, completing a lair still yields gear comparable to standard raid loot, and your performance counts toward your Great Vault progress.
New Dungeon: Altar of Fangs
Located on Coiled Isle, this WoW: Midnight dungeon features three bosses: Rav'i, Writhing Coil, and Zul'jan. Altar of Fangs dungeon will be available upon the launch of Patch 12.1.
However, its Mythic difficulty will not unlock until Season 2 begins on August 18, at which point it will be added to Mythic+ rotation.
Mythic+ Dungeon changes
Mythic+ dungeons are a specialized endgame system in WoW: Midnight featuring a rotating pool of eight dungeons. You can use keystones to adjust the difficulty, balancing the need for a safer run against the desire for greater rewards.
In addition to the aforementioned Altar of Fangs, the following seven dungeons will join the rotation when Season 2 launches:
- Murder Row
- Den of Nalorakk
- The Blinding Vale
- Voidscar Arena
- Kings' Rest
- Ruby Life Pools
- Temple of Sethraliss
Delve gameplay changes
WoW: Midnight Delves are designed to offer a smaller-scale, faster-paced PvE experience; each Delve typically features a fixed layout and scalable difficulty levels.
Patch 12.1 introduces two regular Delves set in Coiled Isle zone, The Ring of Glory and Gnarldor Isle, followed by Nemesis Delve known as Venomfall Deeps in Season 2. Additional Delves are expected to arrive after Season 2 begins.
To align with the poison-themed atmosphere introduced in The Curse of Ula'tek and Coiled Isle, existing WoW: Midnight Delves will receive narrative variants centered on snakes and venom, perfect for players who enjoy repeatable farming!
Additional combat gameplay updates
The launch of Season 2 brings new Tier Sets for every WoW: Midnight class, which can be unlocked by completing specific quests.
Season 2 also introduces more affixes and bosses to Prey mode and raises the weekly Prey cap from 10 to 15.
Most importantly, completing Prey quests in Season 2 will reward players with Corrosive Souls. This item grants special effects to your bracers and belt, helping you overcome potential corruption hazards, though these effects are not applicable in dungeons or raids.
Other updates
In addition to standard optimizations and bug fixes, WoW Midnight Patch 12.1 introduces significant updates to the housing system, such as raising the maximum housing level, which means you can unlock more outdoor space as you upgrade your home.
New categories of decorations, including vines, hanging plants, and pet beds, have also been added to offer a more diverse decorating experience (though please note that some pets cannot use the pet beds).
That covers everything for this update. To handle this wealth of new content and the upcoming season with ease, it is best to wrap up the main Season 1 activities quickly so you can fully immerse yourself in The Curse of Ula'tek and Season 2 when they launch in August!
If you want to make rapid progress once the new raids and dungeons go live, one of the best ways to prepare is to buy WoW Midnight gold on IGGM right now!
This way, whether you need to stock up on essential combat consumables or use the marketplace to acquire other gear and materials, you can do so easily, anytime, anywhere!

What are the current cons of WoW Midnight? Why do players say it is losing its true Warcraft feel?
Unlike TBC Classic Anniversary or MoP Classic, which were also receiving updates during the same period, WoW Midnight is the second chapter of Worldsoul Saga. It is not a recreation of an old server but an entirely new expansion.
Precisely because of this, Midnight not only offers a unique adventure in Azeroth but also reveals its own specific flaws. Of course, this doesn't mean it isn't a good game; rather, the lack of familiar, established habits makes you more keenly aware of any issues.
WoW Midnight has been live for over three months now. Here, we summarize the game's main issues during this period and analyze how it could become a better World of Warcraft expansion.

Cluttered UI design
In an MMORPG with complex mechanics like WoW Midnight, actual combat is often filled with visual effects from both allies and enemies, alongside various environmental effects. When these overlap, the screen inevitably becomes cluttered.
In such a scenario, a UI designed for high visibility and fluidity is crucial; it ensures you can quickly locate enemies or teammates to cast attacks or heals amidst the chaos.
The problem is that WoW Midnight performs poorly in this regard. For instance, during combat, ground textures and enemy skill effects can blur together, making it difficult to see which teammate has been hit by an ability.
If you are a healer, you will probably relate to this strongly, as your role requires constant monitoring of the raid group, with only occasional glances at your own character, usually just to avoid falling off a platform while strafing.
However, the current UI issues force you to simultaneously handle nearby mobs, manage healing pressure, and keep track of your teammates' character models.
None of these mechanics are difficult in isolation, and you could easily handle any one of them. But when they occur in rapid succession, compounded by poor visual clarity, the situation becomes quite tricky.
It must be noted, however, that UI or visual effects are not the deciding factors for success in raids or dungeons; the safest bet is to buy WoW Midnight gold on IGGM to acquire better gear and essential consumables.
Overly restrictive approach to add-ons
While opinions on the use of add-ons vary among players, there is no denying their value when dealing with data-heavy tasks, such as quickly analyzing teammate abilities during a raid.
Facing special boss encounters or massive mob packs in Mythic+ dungeons often involves mechanics capable of instantly killing players, mechanics that frequently demand specific, varied responses. Consequently, team coordination is vital, yet not everyone is willing to use voice chat.
Ideally, to avoid relying on addons, the game should minimize mechanics that necessitate them; however, the reality of WoW Midnight is quite the opposite: addons are restricted, yet the volume of information you must master remains immense.
Character and story development feel lackluster
In fact, the narrative of WoW Midnight campaign holds great potential. For instance, the setting of Eversong Woods evokes a sense of nostalgia for The Burning Crusade, and the background music and narrative pacing are handled well.
Yet, other aspects feel uninspired, particularly the storylines of key characters, where one can easily predict the nature of upcoming quests or the direction of the plot.
Take Arator, one of the central figures; while he possesses a potentially rich and unique character arc, the associated quests follow a tired formula, ultimately leading to a completely predictable conclusion.
More importantly, the lackluster narrative context surrounding these quests can sap your motivation during the early leveling phase, further slowing down player progression.
Of course, evaluating storytelling is highly subjective; you might well feel WoW Midnight succeeds in this regard. We simply believe that injecting more dramatic conflict would have made the experience more compelling.
Furthermore, the narrative suffers from being overly fragmented; it feels as though a jumble of ideas was shoehorned into a single story, while a cohesive main plot seems entirely absent. The result is a chaotic, disjointed linear experience.
A disjointed overall atmosphere
Looking back at the evolution of WoW franchise, the early game established a predominantly dark and somber tone through its lore. However, as more expansions and servers were introduced, the stylistic direction became increasingly eclectic.
This explains the recent community sentiment that "Warcraft no longer feels like Warcraft", a feeling that is even more pronounced in WoW Midnight, evident as early as the initial trailer release.
Admittedly, everyone holds a unique vision and understanding of Azeroth, and expecting WoW Midnight to satisfy every player's expectations is unrealistic. At the very least, the development team needs to share a unified vision; otherwise, the game risks feeling like a disjointed, cobbled-together mess.
Game quality seems to have slipped
Beyond the issues with overall cohesion, the actual gameplay experience of WoW Midnight has deteriorated in the three months since its launch. Bugs are rampant, there are even spelling errors that could have easily been caught and fixed with minimal testing.
Furthermore, compared to other active WoW servers, PvP elements in Midnight have been marginalized. Even if PvE content were flawless, it wouldn't satisfy players who prefer PvP, and PvE content is far from perfect itself.
The lack of PvP elements has also diluted the sense of conflict between the game's factions. This is particularly odd, given that the rivalry between Horde and Alliance is one of World of Warcraft's most iconic features.
Conclusion
All in all, if the bugs are fixed and PvP gameplay is updated soon, WoW Midnight could be a solid expansion. It is a great entry point for newcomers to World of Warcraft, as the storyline is relatively self-contained.
As for the narrative content, there is limited room for adjustment; one can only hope that future seasons will bring better storytelling.
That covers everything for now. We hope to see WoW Midnight improve, as a strong performance would bode well for the development of the next The Last Titan expansion.

WoW Midnight Patch 12.0.7 Brings Major Housing Upgrades Players Have Been Waiting For
World of Warcraft Midnight: Revelations European servers on June 17, 2026 and North American servers will launch on June 16, 2026. This update is packed with content, including new raids, new zones, and a new story, but many casual players are most excited about housing system update.
This article will provide an in-depth analysis of housing system update in WoW Midnight Patch 12.0.7. Let's take a look.

Outdoor Lighting
Since housing system's launch, the most requested feature from players, outdoor lighting, has finally been officially released. This feature was initially disabled due to severe performance issues during the initial housing system launch, but the development team has successfully resolved these technical difficulties. Now, you can place outdoor lighting fixtures on housing plots.
However, there is an important limitation to understand. Outdoor lighting differs from indoor lighting; the illumination radii of two outdoor light sources cannot overlap. When you attempt to place a new light source too close to an existing light source, a red radius indicator will appear on the ground, preventing you from placing it.
Decor Budget Increased
Outdoor decorating budgets have been significantly increased, fundamentally changing how players design their homes. When your home reaches level 5, the decorating budget will increase from 250 points to 300 points. At the maximum home level 7, the decorating budget will jump from 250 points to a remarkable 350 points. For players wanting to fully upgrade their homes, this means a full 40% increase in budget, allowing them to acquire far more decorations.
The lead home systems developer for WoW Midnight explained that this change was implemented after extensive PTR testing of the outdoor lighting system. Testing confirmed that even on mid-range PCs, the game engine can handle the significantly increased variety of decorations without any noticeable performance degradation.
This directly addresses one of the long-standing complaints from the player community: feeling overly restricted when building complex outdoor areas, especially those with dense gardens, winding paths, and numerous decorative elements.
New Decor Items
WoW Midnight Patch 12.0.7 adds over one hundred new decorative items, all available from decor vendors at Razorwind Shores and Founder's Point, priced from 10 to 125 WoW Midnight Gold each. Details are as follows:
A new outdoor decor collection includes stone lanterns of various heights and styles, creating layered lighting effects even with radius limitations. Three sizes of wooden garden bridges can span streams or connect different areas of your patio.
Four different colored flower pots are available, along with various sizes of square and rectangular potted hedges for creating formal garden layouts.
A cobblestone path kit featuring straight, curved, and intersecting paths helps create natural walking routes. Bird baths, weather vanes, and a complete set of wooden picnic furniture (including a table and bench) complete the outdoor decor options.
The indoor decor collection is equally rich in new additions. Three types of bookshelf inserts that can full wall recesses are available, along with two heights of glass-door display cases and a brand-new collection of rugs in seven colors and three shapes.
In addition, there are wall-mounted candlesticks with dynamic flame effects that not only save floor space but also provide illumination. Finally, side tables, coffee tables, and a modular shelving system that can be combined in any way complete the interior furniture selection.

Known Issues Tracking
The development team has released a list of known issues that players may encounter after the release of WoW Midnight Patch 12.0.7. The details are as follows:
Some outdoor lights, particularly Night Elf Moon Lantern and Goblin Arc Lamp, are currently displaying incorrect radius indicators, making them appear larger than their actual limits. The light placement system still works, but the visual indicators are misleading.
Additionally, a small number of players on PTR servers reported that their house grades did not immediately update to reflect the new budget cap. Reloading the housing system or logging back in resolves this issue. The team anticipates fixing both issues via hotfixes within the first week after launch.
Future Developments
A WoW Midnight representative briefly mentioned what players can expect after Patch 12.0.7: Guild housing system is currently under active development and is expected to launch in Patch 12.1.5. Guild housing will use dedicated large plots separate from individual houses and will share decorating budgets and permissions.
Furthermore, the first house-specific world event is planned for Patch 12.2.0, tentatively named Grand Neighborhood Decorating Contest, where the entire community will compete in a collective decorating theme to win cosmetic rewards.
That concludes the update to housing system in WoW Midnight Patch 12.0.7. Many players are eagerly anticipating the outdoor lighting and new decorations. Let's wait for June 16th. Before then, you can make some plans and preparations in advance.
