WoW MoP Classic 5 Kun-Lai Summit Gold Farming Methods: What Player Level Are They Suitable For?

In World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria, gold is a crucial resource from beginning to end. Whether crafting consumables or acquiring desired gear at the auction house, gold is essential. It can even be said that the later you get, the higher the gold consumption.
Pandaria’s zones are generally above level 85, and each zone yields different item materials and equipment. Kun-Lai Summit, a level 82 to 90 zone, is where most players level up. Furthermore, the presence of Mogu’shan Vaults raid and the dungeon Shado-Pan Monastery attracts a large number of players.
Kun-Lai Summit is rich in resources. In addition to raids and dungeons, it also boasts five excellent gold farms.
What Makes For A Good Gold Farm?
In an MMORPG game, the monsters in the open world don’t belong to you alone. Once other players have cleared the area of monsters, the remaining players will have to wait for monsters to respawn, so this means you’ll have to face challenges from other players.
On the other hand, the monster drops from gold farms don’t necessarily have to be gold; any valuable items are acceptable. You can pick up these items and sell them at the auction house.
Thus, a qualified gold farm must meet at least two criteria: a fast monster spawn rate and high-value monster drops.
5 Gold Farms In Kun-Lai Summit
1. Kun-Lai Summit Ruins Of Guo-Lai (Gold)
This gold farm actually includes the area around Ruins of Guo-Lai, such as Guo-Lai Halls. This area contains many monster camps, and your farming efficiency depends on your progress in Ruins of Guo-Lai quest.
After completing the quest, spider enemies will appear in this area. Guo-Lai Halls also contains Ashweb Matriarch, which rewards 22 gold upon defeat. While this area doesn’t have the fastest monster spawn rate, it’s quite large and primarily drops WoW MoP Classic gold.
2. Kun-Lai Summit The Deeper (Windwool Cloth)
This gold farm is related to Breaking Broketooth quest. The monsters here are Broketooth Chargers and Broketooth Tossers, which are monkeys. Since they’re humanoid monsters, they drop Windwool Cloth.
This area has a high monster density and a fast respawn rate, allowing you to farm continuously. These monsters are level 88, and if you’re not maxed out, they still provide a good amount of XP. However, your item level should be kept low, or you might not be able to defeat them.
Each Broketooth Tosser drops approximately 33 silver, but that’s not the main point. Windwool Cloth and Mote of Harmony they drop are the items you need to pick up, as they’re more easily sold. If you want to be more efficient, you’ll need to use a Luck Potion, which will give you a ton of extra drops.
3. Kun-Lai Summit, The Burlap Trail (Windwool Cloth)
This area features the same monsters you encounter in The Deeper, but here there are more Broketooth Chargers. These monsters respawn very quickly, but they don’t spawn any super-powerful enemies, so you can keep your pace.
4. Kun-Lai Summit Howlingwind Cavern (Windwool Cloth)
This area is similar to The Deeper. The main monsters here are Mischievous Snow Sprites, which are also humanoid monsters and can drop Windwool Cloth and Mote of Harmony.
Howlingwind Cavern is a good location for low-level players. While Mischievous Snow Sprite is quite high at level 87, its health is only 161,000. The monster density is low, making it manageable even at lower levels and gear levels.
This area offers a relatively low difficulty level regardless of class, making it a popular location for players looking to level up and farm for MoP Classic gold.
5. Kun-Lai Summit Windward Isle (Raw Turtle Meat)
Windward Isle is a level 88 area with the following monsters:
- Slitherscale Eggdrinker
- Slitherscale Ripper
- Slitherscale Lizard-Lord
- Windward Huntress
- Windward Saber
- Saltback Turtle
- Saltback Yearling
- Dampnet Osprey
Your targets are Saltback Turtle and Saltback Yearling. Windward Isle is the only area where they gather. Their most valuable drop is Raw Turtle Meat, which is worth twice as much as Windwool Cloth. A more economical method is to harvest the materials from the turtles after killing them. The most efficient method is to have a melee player draw the monsters’ aggro, grouping them together, and then kill them.
In addition to turtles, there are also some Slitherscales here who come to steal turtle eggs. These humanoid monsters also drop Windwool Cloth. However, they are level 90, and turtles have high health, so if you are lower level, your efficiency will be limited, and you may even be killed by a swarm of Slitherscales. Overall, this is a gold farm that is best entered at level 89 or 90.
There are many gold farms in Pandaria, and sometimes you will encounter “competitors” who have occupied the area beforehand. If farming in one area is too inefficient for two people, try another location. Therefore, it is important to know the locations of multiple gold farms.
