Last Epoch Season 2 Acolyte Leveling Build: How To Choose Skills At Each Stage?
Posted: May 08, 2025 Views: 30
Acolyte in Last Epoch is one of five classes, and it has three Masteries: Warlock, Necromancer and Lich. All three Masteries are powerful, but if you want to level up quickly, I would recommend you to choose Warlock.
Warlock is good at using curses to negatively affect enemies and also has a powerful ability to deal damage. This does not mean that Necromancer and Lich are not powerful, but they will encounter some resistance during the leveling process. If you don’t like using Warlock, you can also use a little gold to reset your Mastery.
How To Choose Skill?
Level 1-20
At this stage, Acolyte does not have many skill points and passive skill points to use, so your goal is to unlock Warlock, which you can unlock at level 16.
Before you unlock Warlock at level 16, you can rotate between using Wandering Spirits and Rip Blood, which are enough to deal with most enemies in the early stages. After you reach level 7, you can use Bone Curse skill to further increase your damage.
After you unlock Warlock, you need to learn Chthonic Fissure and Chaos Bolts, which will replace Wandering Spirits and Rip Blood as your main damage-dealing skills.
You can allocate some points to Acolyte talent tree, but be careful not to allocate too many points, because you need to save more points for Warlock talent tree.
- (Acolyte) Forbidden Knowledge: 8 points
- (Acolyte) Blood Aura: 6 points
- (Acolyte) Mania of Mortality: 1 point
- (Acolyte) Unnatural Preservation: 5 points
Level 20-35
After acquiring the new skills, Chthonic Fissure and Chaos Bolts become the player’s main damage-dealing skills. After encountering a monster, you need to cast Chthonic Fissure first, and then continue to cast Chaos Bolts until the monster is dead.
The advantage of this skill combination is that it is fast and safe, and you can steadily farm Last Epoch Gold and XP even in the early stages of the game.
Here are the points you assign to each skill:
Chaos Bolts
- Abrupt Chaos: 1 point
- Doom’s Vindication: 2 points
- Devour the Damned: 1 point
- Cursed Blood:1 point
- Another Affliction: .1 point
- Mania in Flames: 3 points
- Condemned to Chaos: 3 points
Chthonic Fissure
- Fragile Crust: 3 points
- Death from Below: 1 point
- Mantle of Flames: 4 points
- Fell Fire: 2 points

Bone Curse
- Conflation: 5 points
- Sigil of Mortality: 1 point
- Reaper’s Mark: 2 points
- Defile Defenses: 2 points
- Marrow Thief: 2 points
Transplant
You need to focus more on Transplant at this stage. This is a powerful movement skill. Using it will cost you some health, but it will put you in a safe position.
Here are your points to allocate for Transplant
- Acolyte’s Fervor: 2 points
- Reign of Blood: 1 point
- Doom Bringer: 1 point
- Fleeting Form: 1 point
- Anemia: 2 points
- Bone Armor: 2 points
- Apostasy: 3 points
Level 35-50
Warlock will become more powerful at this stage, and you’d better find a merchant to spend some gold to exchange for a nice staff. At this stage, you can complete the entire story content and add a trade faction.
The skill you need to master at this stage is Profane Veil. When you learn Profane Veil, you have all the skills you need to master. This is a powerful survival skill with a 10s cooldown. As long as you use it well, you can avoid most of the fatal attacks from the boss.
Here are the mastery points required for Profane Veil:
- Loose Tongue: 3 points
- Hell Fire: 3 points
- Eternal Blasphemy: 3 points
- Unholy Renewal: 1 point
- Harsh Words: 2 points
- Forked Tongue: 1 point

Level 50-70
At this level, you have reached Monolith of Fate and acquired all the skills you need:
- Chaos Bolts
- Chthonic Fissure
- Bone Curse
- Transpant
- Profane Veil
In this stage, you can add the last passive points you need to your build:

- (Warlock) Fleeting Crone: 2 points
- (Warlock) Encroaching Darkness: 1 point
Equipment Recommendation
The best equipment for Acolyte still needs to be crafted after entering Monolith of Fate. During the upgrade stage, you only need to look for weapons and equipment with useful affixes. You can pay more attention to the store, or go to the gambling merchant and spend gold to gamble on weapons.
Priority Affix
- Increased Necrotic Damage
- Increased Mana Regen
- Increased Cast Speed
- Chance to apply Ignite
- Chance to apply Damned
Useful Affixes
- Intelligence
- Armor
- Resistances
- Flat Health
- Ward per Second/Ward Decay Threshold
Blessings
As a spellcaster, Acolyte lacks survivability, so when choosing Blessings, it is important to increase resistance and life.
- Flames of the Black Sun: Chance to apply Ignite on hit
- Resolve of Humanity: All Resistances
- Resonance of the Sea: Ward per Second
- Body of Obsidian: Increased Armor
- Bulwark of the Tundra: Increased Armor
The above is all about Acolyte Leveling Build. According to this content, you can smoothly enter the endgame, and then you can use gold coins to reset your skills and play the build you want.
