Last Epoch Season 2 Lich Leveling Build: Mastering The Relevant Skill Allocation Will Be Effective!

Like most ARPGs, in Last Epoch, finding the most suitable builds for each class will enable the class to play a greater combat effect based on the available skills. The special thing about Last Epoch is that it has set up 3 Mastery classes for each class. If you are willing to explore, you will find that these Mastery classes also have their own builds.
After the official release of Season 2 on April 17, each Last Epoch class has been adjusted and optimized to a greater or lesser extent, and the corresponding Mastery class mechanism has naturally changed. Based on this, this time we will use Mastery class of Lich in Acolyte class as a representative to introduce you how to build the best Leveling Build for Lich in Season 2.
Lich Leveling Build Overview
The basic feature of Mastery class Lich is that it can transform your character into Reaper Form, gaining powerful combat capabilities while also depleting your health over time. While the risk of losing health may be a deterrent, Lich’s excellent clearing speed is not to be ignored, which allows you to kill the most enemies in a short period, thereby increasing the speed at which you can farm Last Epoch Gold.
Based on this, Lich Leveling Build is mainly built around Reaper Form and Death Seal. The high mobility of Transplant and Reap in Reaper Form, combined with the high damage of Death Seal, allows you to destroy enemies while quickly crossing the map.
In addition, when Death Seal is on cooldown, Rip Blood can provide considerable damage and endurance, and Bone Curse can provide additional DPS and large-scale survivability-prerequisite that you have unlocked Signet of Agony Specialization node. Another node worth having is Deadlock Specialization of Death Seal, as it automatically sets your health to 33% when you activate Death Seal to enjoy the low health bonus effect.
While the combination of Reaper Form and Death Seal makes the entire build very effective, if you lose Reaper Form for any reason, you will be significantly weakened and will have to wait a few seconds until Reaper Form is restored again before you can continue using this build.
However, if you can get Unholy Dominion node in Reaper skill tree, you can use Transplant to avoid danger outside of Reaper Form. This is because Reaper Form and Transplant no longer share a cooldown, giving you extra mobility to easily maintain Reaper Form by moving between teams faster.
Best Active Skills
As we did in the overview, the core of this build is Lich Mastery skill Reaper Form and Death Seal. Since these two skills require you to invest another 30 points in the skill tree to unlock and start using them, before that, you can choose Acolyte’s starting skill Rip Blood for this build. In addition, Bone Curse and Transplant are also good at starting upgrading as soon as possible.
After successfully unlocking Reaper Form, you should first unlock its Specialization node Unholy Dominion to ensure good mobility, so that you can maintain your Reaper Form by shuttling between enemies and sucking their health. After that, it is recommended that you unlock Reaper’s Curse and Rapid Destruction nodes on the left side of the skill tree, and then unlock Mistress of Decay, Soul Shroud, and Vile Shroud on the right side of the skill tree as reliable defense nodes.
After unlocking another important active skill Death Seal, it is recommended that you first maximize Corrupted Consciousness to unlock Mortal Pulse, and then continue along this branch to unlock Desperate Shroud and Deadlock. And if you have Marina’s Lost Soul Unique skill, Doomcall node on the right side of the skill tree can also greatly increase the damage output of Death Seal.
Passive Tree Unlocking Solution
For Lich Leveling Build, first you must unlock Lich Mastery class with 20 points in the basic Acolyte passive tree. Later in the upgrade process, you need to allocate points to Blood Aura and Bone Aura. If you also use Summon Skeletons during the upgrade process, it is also a good choice to allocate a small amount of points to Dark Rituals, as this can further increase the damage.
Then you need to unlock and upgrade Intelligence in Warlock tree, and unlock all nodes in Lich tree. After unlocking Lich, you need to reallocate Acolyte passive tree to have 8 points each in Bone Aura and Forbidden Knowledge, or 4 points each in Stolen Vitality or Blood Aura - depending on whether you need more survivability or damage.
But in general, the most important node in Lich passive tree is Dance with Death, because it can greatly increase your damage output when your character’s health is below 35%. Interestingly, Deadlock can effectively maintain the character’s health at 35%. After that, Apocrypha and Grasp of Fate can provide you with 20 points to help you continue to unlock Unclosing Wounds and Crippling Insight.
Other recommended passives include Deathbringer, Dark Guard, Clairvoyant Insight, and Ageless Ascetic for increased damage; Three Plagues, Elixir of Death, and Soul Maw for increased defense and endurance; Mind Over Body for increased intelligence and health consume - helpful if you need to keep your health low during Dance with Death.
That’s it for the best skill allocation and usage for Lich Leveling Build, which will be useful if you plan to use this build in Last Epoch Season 2!
