Last Epoch Season 2 Lich Leveling Build: Mastering The Relevant Skill Allocation Will Be Effective!
Like most ARPGs, in Last Epoch, finding the most suitable builds for each class will enable the class to play a greater combat effect based on the available skills. The special thing about Last Epoch is that it has set up 3 Mastery classes for each class. If you are willing to explore, you will find that these Mastery classes also have their own builds.
After the official release of Season 2 on April 17, each Last Epoch class has been adjusted and optimized to a greater or lesser extent, and the corresponding Mastery class mechanism has naturally changed. Based on this, this time we will use Mastery class of Lich in Acolyte class as a representative to introduce you how to build the best Leveling Build for Lich in Season 2.
Lich Leveling Build Overview
The basic feature of Mastery class Lich is that it can transform your character into Reaper Form, gaining powerful combat capabilities while also depleting your health over time. While the risk of losing health may be a deterrent, Lich’s excellent clearing speed is not to be ignored, which allows you to kill the most enemies in a short period, thereby increasing the speed at which you can farm Last Epoch Gold.
Based on this, Lich Leveling Build is mainly built around Reaper Form and Death Seal. The high mobility of Transplant and Reap in Reaper Form, combined with the high damage of Death Seal, allows you to destroy enemies while quickly crossing the map.
In addition, when Death Seal is on cooldown, Rip Blood can provide considerable damage and endurance, and Bone Curse can provide additional DPS and large-scale survivability-prerequisite that you have unlocked Signet of Agony Specialization node. Another node worth having is Deadlock Specialization of Death Seal, as it automatically sets your health to 33% when you activate Death Seal to enjoy the low health bonus effect.
While the combination of Reaper Form and Death Seal makes the entire build very effective, if you lose Reaper Form for any reason, you will be significantly weakened and will have to wait a few seconds until Reaper Form is restored again before you can continue using this build.
However, if you can get Unholy Dominion node in Reaper skill tree, you can use Transplant to avoid danger outside of Reaper Form. This is because Reaper Form and Transplant no longer share a cooldown, giving you extra mobility to easily maintain Reaper Form by moving between teams faster.
Best Active Skills
As we did in the overview, the core of this build is Lich Mastery skill Reaper Form and Death Seal. Since these two skills require you to invest another 30 points in the skill tree to unlock and start using them, before that, you can choose Acolyte’s starting skill Rip Blood for this build. In addition, Bone Curse and Transplant are also good at starting upgrading as soon as possible.
After successfully unlocking Reaper Form, you should first unlock its Specialization node Unholy Dominion to ensure good mobility, so that you can maintain your Reaper Form by shuttling between enemies and sucking their health. After that, it is recommended that you unlock Reaper’s Curse and Rapid Destruction nodes on the left side of the skill tree, and then unlock Mistress of Decay, Soul Shroud, and Vile Shroud on the right side of the skill tree as reliable defense nodes.
After unlocking another important active skill Death Seal, it is recommended that you first maximize Corrupted Consciousness to unlock Mortal Pulse, and then continue along this branch to unlock Desperate Shroud and Deadlock. And if you have Marina’s Lost Soul Unique skill, Doomcall node on the right side of the skill tree can also greatly increase the damage output of Death Seal.
Passive Tree Unlocking Solution
For Lich Leveling Build, first you must unlock Lich Mastery class with 20 points in the basic Acolyte passive tree. Later in the upgrade process, you need to allocate points to Blood Aura and Bone Aura. If you also use Summon Skeletons during the upgrade process, it is also a good choice to allocate a small amount of points to Dark Rituals, as this can further increase the damage.
Then you need to unlock and upgrade Intelligence in Warlock tree, and unlock all nodes in Lich tree. After unlocking Lich, you need to reallocate Acolyte passive tree to have 8 points each in Bone Aura and Forbidden Knowledge, or 4 points each in Stolen Vitality or Blood Aura - depending on whether you need more survivability or damage.
But in general, the most important node in Lich passive tree is Dance with Death, because it can greatly increase your damage output when your character’s health is below 35%. Interestingly, Deadlock can effectively maintain the character’s health at 35%. After that, Apocrypha and Grasp of Fate can provide you with 20 points to help you continue to unlock Unclosing Wounds and Crippling Insight.
Other recommended passives include Deathbringer, Dark Guard, Clairvoyant Insight, and Ageless Ascetic for increased damage; Three Plagues, Elixir of Death, and Soul Maw for increased defense and endurance; Mind Over Body for increased intelligence and health consume - helpful if you need to keep your health low during Dance with Death.
That’s it for the best skill allocation and usage for Lich Leveling Build, which will be useful if you plan to use this build in Last Epoch Season 2!

Last Epoch Season 2 Smite Hammer Paladin Leveling Build: How To Build It?
Last Epoch Season 2 reworked Sentinel, and this class is now better than before, and Paladin in Smite Hammer Paladin is a subclass of Sentinel.
Paladin has many advantages. First, it can provide various buffs to itself and teammates. Second, it has a powerful defense, which makes it not easy to die during the game. Some players may think that Paladin’s attack power is not strong, but in fact this is a misunderstanding.
Paladin can cause physical damage and spell damage, but his skill damage range is not as large as other classes. But relying on the two skills of Hammer Throw and Smite, Paladin farms gold and XP efficiently.
Pros And Cons
Pros
- Clear vision
- Can act as a tank
- Can cause huge single-target damage
Cons
- Need to pay attention to mana consumption
- Requires equipment to reach the critical hit limit
- Rely on buffs very much
- Susceptible to DoT damage
Build Requirements
This build does not rely on weapons and equipment, so it can save you a lot of Last Epoch Gold. The most important requirement of this build is that you need to use Hammer Throw to trigger Smite continuously, which is the main attack method of this build.
It is recommended that you get Storm Champion Weapon or Sentinel Idol. Storm Champion Weapon can increase the chance of casting Smite when throwing attacks, or rely on Sentinel Idol to drop a prefix suitable for Paladin: Chance To Cast Smite When Paladin hits an enemy with Throwing Attacks.
Smite Hammer Paladin Leveling Build Skills
Hammerdin Build (Level 1-20)
Skills
- Hammer Throw
- Rive/Vengeance
- Lunge
- Javelin
- Holy Aura
Passives
- Fearless (5 Points)
- Armour Clad (5 Points)
- Valiant Charge (5 Points)
- Time and Faith (5 Points)
In the early game, Smite damage is not that high, so Paladin still mainly relies on physical damage, and Smite is a skill that can only be unlocked at Paladin level 20. Therefore, before level 20, Hammer Throw is your main damage skill.
Hammer Throw:
- Mana Cost: 3
- Cooldown: 0 seconds
- 22 base physical damage, and 4% more for each point of Strength and Dexterity
- Critical Chance: 5%
- Effect: Throws a hammer that returns after a brief delay, and deals an additional 110% of the thrown damage on each hit
Iron Spiral and Catapult can change the shape and number of hammers, allowing your Paladin to hit more enemies at once, so be sure to add points to Hammer Throw.
Holy Aura is a powerful auxiliary skill that can bring 30% damage increase and 15% elemental resistance to Paladin. Expedite and Fanaticism nodes allow Paladin to use Hammer Throw faster.
Hammerdin Build (Level 20+)
Skills
- Hammer Throw
- Symbols of Hope
- Healing Hands
- Javelin
- Holy Aura
- Smite
Sentinel Passives
- Fearless (8 Points)
- Juggernaut (2 Points)
- Armour Clad (5 Points)
- Valiant Charge (5 Points)
Paladin Passives
- Conviction (5 Points)
- Phoenix Strike (5 Points)
- Rahyeh’s Strength (5 Points)
- Force of Devotion (6 Points)
- Faith Armour (4 Points)
- Holy Precision (10 Points)
- Prayer Aegis (5 Points)
- Covenant of Light (5 Points)
- Covenant of Dominion (7 Points)
At level 50+, Smite becomes the primary damage skill for Paladin. Smite can be transformed into a powerful lightning skill through Order of Lagon passive node. Conviction can increase Paladin’s critical chance, so you need to increase this node to the maximum.
Sacrifice and Atonement nodes are used to increase Paladin’s damage, although this will cause Paladin to lose health when using Smite. Paladin has a way to restore health, so you can increase these two nodes to 5 points.
At around level 70, this build is basically complete. As long as you throw your hammer at the monsters, Smite can kill numerous monsters in an instant, leaving a lot of materials and gold on the ground, just like Thor.
Equipment
Smite Hammer Paladin Leveling Build has a lot of equipment options. Here are the goals that your equipment should achieve.
- Elemental Resistances reach the upper limit
- Endurance reaches the upper limit
- 100% resistance to additional damage caused by critical hits
- 3000 - 4000 Health
- 60% - 70% physical damage resistance
- 2500+ Block Effectiveness
- 50% - 100% Block Chance
- 100% Smite Crit Chance
- 60% or more Throwing Attack Speed
- 500 or more Mana
In terms of weapons, before level 20, Paladin can choose weapons that increase physical damage, cause ignition or blood sucking. After level 50, Paladin will use Smite as the main means of attack, so a wand that can increase the chance of spell critical hits will be the best choice.
Blessings
- Hunger of the Void
- Bastion of Divinity
- Survival of Might
- Persistance of Will
- Bones of Eternity
- Embers of Immortality
- Body of Obsidian
- Mysteries of the Deep
These are the common blessings you can use during the leveling process. These blessings are not important. You need to make Empowered Monolith your goal.
Idols
- Stout Lagonian Idols: Increase resistance
- Small Lagonian Idols: Increase resistance
- Small Eterran Idols: Increase resistance
- Large Rahyeh Idols× 4: Increase Vengeance And Smite Damage
- Adorned Rahyeh Idols: Chance to release Smite when using Throwing Attacks
The above is the general content of the skills and equipment selection of Smite Hammer Paladin Leveling Build. Smite Hammer Paladin Build is a classic build of Sentinel, which has been tested by many players. Its upper limit may not be high enough, but its lower limit is high enough to bring you happiness.
