While the rewards for the first two rounds were Wild Footprints Effect and Scavenger Hood, Qualifiers 3 brings Darkshard Helmet Attachment.

Visually, this is a semi-covering helmet featuring two long, black demonic horns extending from the forehead and the back of the head, accented by black straps and silver buckles on the sides.

To be honest, the helmet evokes an eerie, intimidating vibe rather than a purely aesthetic one, so it may not appeal to everyone. Still, it's a free reward, there's no reason to miss out!

How to secure the top spot in Qualifiers 3?

As the penultimate qualifying round for PoE 1, Qualifiers 3 kicks off at 2 PM PDT on September 17. It runs for one week, concluding just before the next round begins.

In each qualifying round, only the first-place finisher claims the title of true winner and secures the substantial prize package, which includes a spot in the finals. To achieve this, you must complete Acts 1 through 5 as quickly as possible, culminating in the defeat of Kitava.

This means that even if you hold the top spot during the early days, you could still be overtaken by another player before the qualifier ends.

Therefore, if you decide to jump into Qualifiers 3 right at the start and take the lead, you'll need to keep a close eye on the standings throughout the week while also finding time to practice in SSF mode.

This means that if someone surpasses your record, you can create a new character at any time to challenge it again. If you set a record, your latest result will be recalculated and updated on the corresponding leaderboard.

Alternatively, you could choose to sit out the first few days of PoE 1 Race Qualifiers 3. Instead, you could focus on watching other players' livestreams to study and practice the fastest completion strategies, then make a comeback in the final day or two.

The advantage of this approach is that by compressing the remaining time, you minimize the window for others to overtake you again. However, this relies on your strategy being highly effective; otherwise, you will have limited opportunities for further attempts.

Act 1-5 walkthrough and tips

The first five acts of Path of Exile 1 constitute the first half of the campaign; this is a crucial phase for laying your character's foundation and setting up for fast progression.

Whether you are a newcomer or aiming to top the leaderboard in this qualifier, your core objective isn't to clear every map, but to level up as quickly as possible, farm more PoE currency and complete the acts.

Core principles to follow

First, prioritize eliminating enemies you can easily defeat based on your current level. Any death renders your character unable to act for a minute, severely impacting your final time.

Therefore, if you encounter dangerous targets, use movement skills to bypass them whenever possible and avoid direct confrontation.

Second, fully utilize anything that boosts your movement speed, such as prioritizing boots with movement speed modifiers.

Finally, ensure you build up various resistances based on the specific requirements of each act, using Crafting Bench to add resistance modifiers when necessary.

Core Mechanics

This strategy revolves around Templar Astrolabe and Atlas anomalies. The goal is to complete Astrolabe quickly using a boss rush approach while securing extra rewards from anomalies and memory encounters.

Crucially, it doesn't rely on a specific build; success depends on route efficiency, map selection, and how you handle anomalies. In practice, it yields around 40 PoE Divine Orbs per hour - or even more if you get lucky with a major drop.

Preparation

First, understand that Templar Astrolabe is completed by killing bosses; for every additional map run within Astrolabe sequence, the boss becomes slightly stronger.

On average, it takes about six maps to complete an Astrolabe - ranging from a minimum of five to a worst-case scenario of nine - so you should stock up on plenty of maps and Astrolabes beforehand.

Currently, the price of a Templar Astrolabe hovers around 100 Chaos Orbs, though this fluctuates with the market.

While running white Tier 16 maps is faster, map quantity affects the spawn rate of anomalies. Therefore, it is better to use an Orb of Alchemy to upgrade your maps to Rare (yellow) status before running them.

Mesa is one of the fastest maps to run; a boss-only rush takes a consistent five to nine seconds per map. City Square is a viable alternative if you prefer it, as it shares the same Atlas quadrant as Mesa.

For Scry feature, you can target high-value divination cards or focus on steady currency drops; either way, this strategy doesn't involve clearing many monsters per map.

Region Selection

Players are highly recommended to choose the bottom-left region of Atlas, as it features Winter Storm strongboxes and Cadiro Perandus anomaly; the former frequently drops Divine Orbs and Voidborn Reliquary Keys, while Cadiro Perandus allows you to unlock various unique items.

These two mechanics can coexist, and since anomalies have independent spawn rates, it is possible to encounter multiple instances in a single map run.

To spawn the same type of anomaly again, you must complete the corresponding encounter: either open the strongbox (or use a lockpick on it) or exhaust Cadiro Perandus's offers (or at least accept one).

Additionally, the memory rewards in the bottom-left region are quite consistent, primarily providing PoE currency - commonly Divine Orbs, though Fracturing Orbs or Reflecting Mists may also appear.

Therefore, as long as Atlas anomalies remain active, the bottom-left region is generally the most competitive choice. If the anomalies disappear later, you can switch to using Runic Astrolabe; you only need to detonate half of the remnants to exit the map.

Atlas Skill Tree

Next, you need to allocate points to specific nodes on PoE Atlas Skill Tree to better support this Astrolabe and Atlas anomaly farming strategy.

First, you must allocate points to Synthesised Stability; otherwise, you won't be able to complete Astrolabe using just a single map.

You can adjust the remaining nodes based on your personal farming habits, but generally, nodes related to boss map drops, map quantity, and scarabs are the most useful.

If you wish to further maximize returns from anomalies, prioritize nodes that control the pathing of Memory Threads.

Depending on the price of the Invitations, use Traumatic Experience, Remembered Kindness, or Educated Upbringing to suppress the spawn rate of the least valuable memory boss, thereby indirectly increasing the probability of encountering the other two.

Handling Anomalies

Once an anomaly spawns in PoE, you cannot block it; you must deal with it. The gold cost to interact with strongboxes doubles repeatedly; it is advisable to stop once the cost exceeds approximately 200,000 gold and instead use a lockpick to destroy the box. This way, you still retain a 25% chance of obtaining a reward.

Furthermore, it is best to accept only high-value unique items from Cadiro Perandus and simply pass on those that are too expensive. If none of the offered items are desirable, decline the final offer to reset the selection. 

Returns

By following this strategy to run maps and complete Astrolabe in Path of Exile 3.29, you can achieve a net profit of over thirty Divine Orbs per hour.

You also have the chance to score lucky drops like Soul Taker; Cadiro Perandus himself offers plenty of rare unique items, so your odds of hitting a jackpot are quite good.

However, the setup costs - whether for Astrolabe or the strongboxes - are significant. While this farming method offers very stable returns, you will need a certain reserve of resources to get started.
