Not only has the developer added a new Hero Trait, Zealot of War, but her classic combat style, Unsullied Blade, has also been completely reworked this season with new mechanics that significantly impact Rosa 2’s gameplay.

Since Outlaw Season launched on July 17th, we’ve all seen how powerful this reworked Rosa 2 hero is, especially when paired with an Unsullied Blade build. Her common build strategy focuses on mana stacking to maximize damage output, making her particularly effective against endgame bosses.

Here, we’ll take a look at how this refreshed Unsullied Blade Rosa 2 build performs in Torchlight Infinite Outlaw Season! Let’s get started!

Torchlight Infinite Season 9 Unsullied Blade Rosa 2 Build Guide: How To Complete This Build And Dominate Outlaw Season?

Gear

For Rosa 2’s gear, we typically choose a classic dual-wielding attack weapon, as the one-handed swords she drops during the campaign are all pretty much the same and underwhelming. However, after the campaign, there are a lot of ideal items for Rosa 2, such as:

Scarlet Decree: This Helmet grants you increased DPS, converts a percentage of physical damage to fire, lightning, and cold damage, and increases the base armor of your gear.
Despised Shadow: This necklace actually received a significant buff, now dealing more damage.
Mercurial Torment: This new necklace grants you bonus elemental damage against enemies with Ailments, making it a good choice.
Desire of Survival: Although Rosa 2 seems to be the only character who doesn’t need Desire of Survival Belt, it restores almost 65% of your maximum health when your health reaches a certain level and quickly knocks back nearby enemies.
Silver Frost: This ring isn’t particularly useful, but it grants you some bonus stats, like increased Intelligence, Cold Damage, and Cold Resistance.
Oathkeeper: This is a game-changing new weapon. This one-handed sword, which requires level 45 to equip, not only increases your weapon’s fire damage, attack speed, and elemental damage, but also boosts the elemental damage of your attack skills.

Skills

For the skill of Unsullied Blade Rosa 2, I recommend Frostbite. This allows you to freeze everything you hit on the first hit, significantly increasing your survivability and making it easier to transition into mapping in the late game. It also gives you a pretty excellent area clear.

Next is the core skill of this build, Unsullied Blade. The core mechanic of this skill set is to accumulate Mystic Mercury through non-channeled attack skills. Once maxed out, it transforms into Realm of Mercury, focusing on dealing elemental damage in the area.

Basically, once you get it, you won’t have to worry about mana at all until the late game, as you can consume and restore mana through your traits.

Thus, you’ll essentially be switching between using and not using the mana circle.

When you attack without the mana circle, it will consume your mana. However, each attack consumes 10% of your mana and grants you 10 Mystic Mercury.

When your mana reaches 100, the circle expands, and each attack restores 20% of your mana. Note that the circle doesn’t last very long, as it consumes 40 Mystic Mercury per second. So, after about two and a half seconds, your mana will be depleted again.

If you seize the opportunity and focus on attacking enemies during that time, you have a chance to escape unscathed and wait for the massive Torchlight Infinite Flame Elementium drop. Even if you don’t succeed, it won’t be the end of the world so soon.

It’s important to note that for most characters, when leveling up, you’ll want to tap Compound Source to maintain your mana when your mana is low. However, this isn’t necessary for Rosa 2, as you can’t restore mana through any means other than Unsullied Blade trait.

So, just go for Life Source and try not to panic and tap it when you see your mana dropping.

Passive Skill Tree

For Passive Tree, we generally prioritize Goddess of Hunting, as it grants us some Blessings, allowing us to stack more damage.

Of course, you can also diversify your Talent Tree a bit. However, I still recommend streamlining your Passive Tree as much as possible so you can unlock all the primary skill nodes as quickly as possible.

Second, we chose Bladerunner, which allows you to transfer damage from your off-hand to your main-hand. I think this node is quite good, and it also grants us increased attack speed.

Then, my third talent node is Prophet, which grants a lot of cold damage. Additionally, it increases the duration of your freeze, increases damage to enemies affected by it, and instantly freezes every enemy you encounter for the first time. This is fantastic, especially in the new Outlaw season, where enemies are everywhere and this node is incredibly useful.

Obtaining A Second Hero Trait

Another thing worth noting is that once you obtain your second Hero Trait, you’ll damage all enemies in your realm almost every half second, with the exact amount scaling depending on how much damage you deal to the highest rarity enemy in the realm.

So, if you’re fighting an elite enemy surrounded by a bunch of other enemies, you can gain a significant advantage. While the overall impact on the campaign isn’t huge - around 15% - it’s not drastic, but it does help.

Final Thoughts

That’s pretty much it for this Unsullied Blade Rosa 2 build guide in Torchlight Infinite. This should be a pretty smooth early Season 9 build, but it’s still quite effective well into the endgame.

The caveat is that you have to keep an eye on your weapons, which can be a bit frustrating. However, the new Outlaw mechanic is insane for getting new gear. You get items that not only have 12% more frost penetration, but also 10% more damage, which is insane. This strategy requires no high-level gear to begin with, making it both easy to execute and efficient. After defeating Time Mark 7 Traveler, you'll unlock two key nodes that grant a 25% chance of spawning four bosses on the map even without a compass.

Building on this foundation, you can continue to build Eterna tree to ensure Eterna spawns, thereby increasing the number of eterna monsters you can kill and the chance of Flame Elementium drops.

Additionally, investing in God of War tree can increase your monster farming speed by speeding up map movement. Unlocking ember-related nodes in Commodities tree can increase your loot yield.

Note that if you haven't unlocked Time Mark 7 Traveler yet, it's best to unlock Starshards nodes to speed up your progress; otherwise, your currency farming will be slowed down.

As for which maps to deploy enemies on, it's recommended to choose simple, linear maps whenever possible and skip the league mechanic tower sequences, as complex maps will waste extra time exploring.

Generally speaking, Wall of Sorrows in Thunder Waste zone is a good choice, allowing you to easily kill all monsters on the map without missing any bosses. Deniman Village in Glacial Abyss is also worth visiting.

Thankfully, valuable eternal monsters or special spawning bosses are marked with green dots above them, making them easier to identify. Sometimes, you'll even encounter two bosses on the same map.

Defeating these monsters and bosses will give you the following loot:
- Flame Elementium
- Embers
- Reverberations
- Pages of Eterna
- Solidified Tears
- Boss Candles
After entering Time Mark 8, you can gain additional boss loot by adding Giantism or Snowpaper-related nodes. If you're still short on Flame Elementium, you can also sell other items to other players for currency.

Collecting Rewards Through Heist Events

This farming method requires you to earn tower coins to travel to the central vault and crack it within a specified time. Each time a vault is cracked, the event alert level increases, ultimately unlocking a battle with the chief security officer.

Before you proceed, you'll need to ensure your passive skill tree has the following features unlocked:
- Ensure heist events spawn.
- Increase your chances of receiving boss invitations by heist events
- Increase loot drop chances through Commodities tree.
- Using God of War tree for speed.
When completing a heist event, be sure to look for Whisper of Bosses option first. If not, select Whisper of Wealth. If a heist event spawns a boss mod, you'll be redirected directly to the rewards page after completing the event.

Both Memory Scraps and Boss Invitations can be sold for more Torchlight Infinite Flame Elementium. Alternatively, you can strive to clear Plane Watchers at difficulty 7-2. Each kill will grant:
- Two guaranteed Time Mark 8 beacons (worth 3-5 Flame Elementium each)
- A Realm Lord Token

If you want to continue earning more in-game currency through heist events or Plane Watchers in T8, you can unlock chest nodes for more loot and add Sandlord spawns to the map, or combine this with the first method.

Whether you farm Flame Elementium through the above two methods or by completing other regular quests and challenges, keep the following in mind:
- Besides challenging Plane Watchers, don't blindly jump into higher difficulties, as farming currency is fastest at Time Mark 7-0.
- Only use the league mechanic when a bounty is available.
- Whenever possible, challenge Plane Watchers at difficulty 7-2, as boss loot drops are highest at this time.

In Torchlight Infinite SS9, Oasis refers to a new game mode and area centered around resource management, base building, and automated resource gathering. Players can build and manage their own Oasis base, deploy workers, use gliders, and participate in raids to gather resources and craft powerful items.

Oasis system is designed to provide players with a semi-offline way to gather resources and level up their characters even when offline.

Here, we’ll take a look at how to use Oasis system in Timemark 7 and 8. It’s worth noting that this strategy typically benefits from pets in Oasis region, especially those with Legendary pet effects. These have a significant chance of dropping rare endgame currency, making them valuable for players who prioritize resource acquisition.

However, this method actually allows you to earn a steady supply of Torchlight Infinite Flame Elementium even without pets. It’s not only incredibly easy, but also suitable for farming offline.

How Does Oasis System Work?

First, you can access the main Oasis interface by speaking with Jessomina. Once there, you’ll see a number of buildings that can be upgraded and managed. Your goal is to upgrade all of them as much as possible.

The maximum level of buildings in Oasis is tied to your Core level and island level, and you can only upgrade your Oasis Core by reaching different breakpoints in Boss Conquest. Reaching breakpoints like T7-T8 actually rewards you with more loot, which is quite significant.

Notice the star icon in the upper right corner of the main interface? That’s Boss Conquest. The higher your Conquest, the higher your Core level will be, and the faster your buildings will develop.

About Buildings In Oasis

Now that we know how to increase the maximum level of a building, let’s take a look at each building.

Mine

In the southeast, you’ll find Mine. This building produces Ingots and Magic Crystals. You’ll need to keep Mine fully staffed.

Early on, each section produces different resources. You need these resources to upgrade other buildings and increase the level of your trade routes.

Now, to the southwest, you’ll find Jessomina. Here, you can set a worker level threshold so that it automatically fires workers below a certain level. This is useful for firing workers you don’t need so you don’t have to spend extra time cleaning them up later.

Logistics Department

Now let’s take a look at Logistics Department to the west. This is where you process your cargo. The workers here help you process resources around the map, upgrading some buildings and providing resources for cargo transport.

Sherlock is also here. However, I personally don’t use him much. He allows you to convert excess gold into random probes, but it doesn’t seem worth it given the high gold cost.

Port

Next, head north and you’ll find Port, where Glider and Airship are located. Airship is like a trade route, and Glider is like a mapper in Path of Exile.

Each Glider gains three energy points, and energy regenerates over time. I usually choose to send Gliders at Timemarks 7 and 8 because they offer the best loot. If you run out of energy and try to send resources, it will allow you to use gold instead of energy. Gold can’t be traded, and its best use is to keep buildings running after energy is depleted.

Airship can send resources to four different islands. Sand is the island with the shortest route, Reservoir is second, Jungle is third, and Utopia is the island with the longest route.

Blending

Finally, a word about Blending area in the northeast. Blending is a ritualistic process used to add specific blending affixes to your character’s belt. These affixes significantly affect your character’s build and power. Blended equipment can still be used in other crafting activities, such as Dream Interpretation, Corrosion, or Branding, depending on the equipment type.

Complete Island Orders And Level Up Faster

Buildings can be upgraded using Oasis Coins earned through gameplay. Upgrading buildings unlocks new features, such as treasure stashes, and improves resource gathering efficiency. The key to collecting coins and accelerating your upgrades is to complete island orders using Gliders and Airships.

To complete an order, click Deploy on any Airship and select the island you want to send it to. A menu will pop up, showing the current order level and delivery requirements. Then, click Bring Supplies and Load All in the lower-right corner to confirm and complete the deployment.

Each completed order adds an additional point of experience to the island. Higher-level islands offer better rewards. Until all islands except Utopia are maxed out, you don’t need to worry about which island to send your troops to. Simply complete the orders for the islands that aren’t maxed out.

Once your islands are maxed out, you can decide which method works best for you. However, I recommend focusing your supply deliveries in the following order: Jungle, Reservoir, and Sand. You can choose whichever one best suits your playstyle, as there’s really no wrong choice, and I don’t mind mixing and matching based on your available resources.

T7–T8 Mapping

Now, let’s take a look at how Oasis mechanic works when mapping. You can focus on passive skills to have a chance to spawn this mechanic, or you can use a compass to optimize the map. That being said, I don’t recommend using a compass, as they cost 4 to 3 FE each, which, in my opinion, isn’t worth the effort.

Oasis appears as a separate Cloud Oasis within the map. Touching it spawns waves of monsters, which drop workers for your Oasis, logistics resources for your Logistics Center, and currency for your town, but primarily, it drops general loot.

That’s pretty much all there is to setting up your Oasis. Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty straightforward, and it carries over into the endgame, especially once your town is up and running, making it a great way to speed up your base development and earn more currency.

On July 18th, Torchlight Infinite SS9 officially began. This season introduced several significant adjustments, including new gameplay, new content, and new hero features. Many heroes received adjustments, a key one being the increase in the number of selectable talent boards from three to four, with the fourth board now available from any of the available talent branches. Season 9 also nerfed early-game items, impacting some early builds.

WhileSummon Spider Tank hasn’t been nerfed in Season 9, its summons’ AI isn’t as good as it was in Season 8, resulting in its less-than-perfect damage output.

C Tier
- Spacetime Elapse Youga Build
- Ring of Ice Thea Build
C tier builds are similar to D tier builds in that they can’t handle every situation.

Youga has a cool mechanic; his illusions can cast spells alongside him, allowing him to unleash some impressive crowd control abilities, making him very effective for farming monsters. Despite receiving a buff in Season 9, he still struggles against high-health or agile bosses.

Ring of Ice Thea offers excellent crowd control and area-of-effect damage, which make she can make amount of Torchlight Infinite Currency in Season 9 events like Carjack and Security Crackdown. However, similar to Spacetime Elapse Youga, this build’s lack of damage becomes apparent when facing bosses.

B Tier
- Frost Spike Rosa build
- Unsullied Blade Rosa build
- Howling Gale Selena build
B tier builds are effective in most situations but require a certain level of skill.

Since Season 9 has enhanced projectile play, Frost Spike has become a very useful skill, dealing 200% weapon damage and a 25% chance to freeze the target. However, the major drawback of this build is its average damage against single enemies.

Unsullied Blade Rosa is a mixed damage build that boosts mana regeneration by bleeding enemies, while also dealing decent area-of-effect damage. It’s a decent build, but requires a high investment in Torchlight Infinite Flame Elementium to be effective.

Howling Gale creates a gust of wind within a radius, continuously striking enemies within it. This skill is particularly effective against large groups of enemies, but it lacks burst damage.

- Wind Stalker Erika build

A tier builds can meet most needs and offer strong damage and combat capabilities, but they also have some drawbacks or are difficult to cultivate.

Wind Stalker Erika relies on critical hits for damage and has insane mobility, allowing for very fast farming. Her only drawback is that she’s not very effective against bosses.

Thunder Slash offers powerful burst damage and decent AoE damage, but its mobility isn’t great.

Seething Rehan is a high-burst build, particularly useful against bosses.

Carino Ice Lances offers high damage, a fast cast speed, and a flashy, agile style, making it quick to deal with both minions and bosses, but it’s a classic glass cannon.

Gemma Frost Fire Fusion uses two elements, capable of freezing bosses and adapting to various situations. This is a somewhat complex build and not suitable for beginners.

Bing Blast Nova unleashes powerful bombs that can instantly clear the entire screen of monsters. This build requires a high gear requirement.

S Tier
- Thunder Spike Erika build
- Whirlwind Rehan build
- Minion Iris build
- Chain Lightning Youga build

S Tier builds offer a higher damage cap than A Tier builds, but the controls are relatively simple, making them enjoyable for most players.

Erika can dish out incredible damage in Season 9 with Lightning Burst, Projectile Chaining, and Critical Hit Scaling. Her speed is impressive, her damage is deadly, and she can decimate bosses.

Next up is Rehan. This build offers excellent mobility and incredibly powerful melee damage, making it a perfect fit for a solo player.

Summoner builds are always a favorite for some players because they’re easy to use. Iris’s summoner build doesn’t require a lot of Torchlight Infinite Flame Elementium, but it still provides enough DPS to handle even high-level bosses.

Chain Lightning Youga build boasts incredible AoE damage and incredible mobility, effectively melting even bosses. It lacks some defensive capabilities.

Autobomber Gemma is simple yet powerful, dealing high damage with frequent explosions, allowing you to clear the screen. She also offers consistent and stable crowd control, making her a highly recommended choice for all players.

Although the nerfs to each build are not big, if you want to play happily, you have to take a lot of time to cultivate this hero. This build is fun to use. With your Spacetime Illusion following you and hitting enemy at the same time, this would really help a lot in battle. This major build powers up with Spell Burst and requires Spell Burst stacking to make it powerful.

With the new adjustment, Spacetime Illusion and Elapse will deal more damage as the spell damage increases as players level up. It’s a boss killer and you can clear T7 Maps easily.

Leveling this is fast as well, since our mobility skill, Frigid Transmission deals damage fast and you can move around like crazy.

6. Commander Motto Summona Guarf Build

Now, let’s go on the number six spot, Commander Motto Summona Guarf Build.

This is a necromancer build that relies on minions to kill the enemy. This build I make is very cheap, but it deals a lot of damage pretty much. You can clear T7 into T8 maps. Leveling is very easy too and you can complete the story mode quickly.

If you want a chill play style, then this build is for you.

5. Commander Motto Auto Bomber Build

Let’s move on to our number fifth spot, Commander Motto again but on a different hero trait, Charge Calling.

Unlike the previous Commander Motto, this Necromancer uses Grim Phantom minions to attack enemy then explode nearly massive damage to your foes.

Grim Phantoms will auto summon once reach the upper limit, so no need to press a lot of buttons here and that is why it’s called the Auto Bomber Model. With this build, you can level easily. And you can finish the story mode fast.

If you want to press a few buttons and just run around the maps, then this build is for you.

4. Gemma Frost Core Build

We are now on the number fourth spot, Gemma Frost Core Build.

This build is very unique. Like Commander Motto, this Gemma build summons or puts Sentries on a particular location that attack enemy with Frost Ice.

With the help of Thunder Core and other sentries skill, you can chill while your sentries will do the rest for you. With Gemma’s hero trait, this gives a boost to Frost Core and Thunder Core damage.

Leveling this is somewhat slow since the projectile of sentries are not yet that strong from start. However, when you equip the necessary support skills and equipment, surely this is a beast on the battlefield.

3. Carino Focused Shot Build

Now, we are on the third spot and this goes to Carino Ranger of Glory Focused Shot Build.

In this new season, Ranger of Glory is better than the previous season, which gives Carino powerful bops, making this build even more powerful.

This build is easy to use especially it can clear maps and easily can clear story mode fast, too. If you want a range hero, then this build is for you.

2. Rehan Berserking Blade Build

Then, on our second spot, Rehan Seething Berserking Blade Build.

If you want a melee hero that runs wild and can clear maps very easily, this build is for you. This build is so fast that you can easily use just mobility skill Leap Attack alone to clear maps.

With Seething Rehan’s hero trait, Seething Spirit, this will allow you Rehan to summon this spirit that will attack for you. Using Berserking Blade as your main skill, you can deal damage to a wide area and you can clear them up very easily.

1. Erika Ghost Blade Einherjar Build

The last build is my favorite, and it is called Erika Ghost Blade Einherjar Build.

I think this is the most powerful and very fast build for this season so far that I have tried. And this build uses Ghost Blade Einherjar to deal damage to your enemy. And with the help of Erica's hero trait, this will help skill to do multi strike chance.

Dealing massive damage and you can move through the map very fast too. You can clear T7 maps and T8 Maps easily with this build. Leveling there is no problem since Ghost Blade Einherjar deals massive damage even from the start you use it.
Torchlight: Infinite Season 3 Update Patch Note

Torchlight: Infinite will hold a press conference about Season 3 on April 22nd at 12:00 PM PDT, announcing the main update Cube of Rapacity and the start of a new ARPG adventure.
