Path Of Exile 2 Glacial Lance Deadeye Build: How To Upgrade It After Entering The Endgame?
Posted: May 23, 2025 Views: 41
Deadeye is Ascendancy class of Ranger, one of the current 7 base classes in Path of Exile 2. Ranger is a class with good attack accuracy and mobility in the game, and its Ascendancy class Deadeye has further expanded the influence of Ranger by adding unique mechanisms.
Although the base class and Ascendancy class actually share the same set of skills or builds, you can complete the builds selection and craft with Deadeye as the core after completing Trial of Sekhemas and unlocking Deadeye to cope with more difficult game content.
Based on this, I will introduce you to how to build an upgraded Glacial Lance Deadeye Build to complete POE 2 endgame.
What Are The Features Of Deadeye?
This Ascendancy class is a shooting expert in the game. It can not only fire additional projectiles in combat, but also quickly kill enemies and complete combat by moving faster when attacking. In addition to being able to deal huge damage to the single target, it also has reliable AOE skills, which are suitable for a variety of combat scenarios.
Deadeye’s unique abilities include:
- Avidity
- Called Shots
- Eagle Eyes
- Endless Munitions
- Gathering Winds
- Projectile Proximity Specialisation: Far Shot, Point Blank
- Thrilling Chase
- Wind Ward
It is important to note that most Deadeye builds, including Glacial Lance, which is the next that we will introduce, all rely on gear effects, and this Ascendancy class itself requires sufficient mana to operate. Therefore, you need to complete gear farming and mana flask charges in a timely manner.
Glacial Lance Deadeye Build
Undoubtedly, the core skill of this build is Glacial Lance, which can handle endgame mapping and more difficult boss battles very well. Although it may be slightly weak when clearing large groups of enemies, the synergy between Voltaic Mark, Cast on Freeze and Herald of Thunder can solve this problem.
To make this build more reliable in the endgame, you can continue to add Thrilling Chase skills and gain Tailwind effect through Gathering Winds, which will give you faster movement speed on the basis of reliable mobility.
Then, combined with Thrilling Chase and Barrage, you will be able to deal with multiple Glacial Lance damage effects to the enemy with a single throw of the core skill. But if you want to utilize this build to make it to the end, it is recommended that you buy POE 2 currency to add more positive modifiers to the existing gear.
How To Craft To Deal With More Difficult Battles?
After entering Path of Exile 2 endgame, the most difficult to deal with is undoubtedly the pinnacle boss, so we have adjusted and upgraded the composition of Glacial Lance Deadeye Build with this as the goal - if you can deal with the most difficult boss, then dealing with other content is naturally a piece of cake.
Skill Selection
As you know, there are a lot of skill gems to choose from in POE 2, and the total number has increased again after the release of patch 0.2.0. Don’t worry though, we’ve got you covered with the best skills for the endgame version of this build:
- Glacial Lance (Martial Tempo, Cold Infusion, Perpetual Charge, Primal Armament, Pinpoint Critical)
- Barrage
- Trinity
- Combat Frenzy
- Herald of Thunder
- Ghost Dance
- Lightning Spear
- Orb of Storms
- Font of Rage
- Cast on Critical
Once you get these skill gems and master them, you’ll need to cast them one by one in a fixed rotation order, as different orders may result in different synergies between skills.
- 1. Utilize Orb of Storms to build rage, and Font of Rage to blind enemies (works better on single-target bosses)
- 2. Apply Sniper’s Mark with Spear Stab when you hit a critical hit to accumulate frenzied charges.
- 3. After maxing out frenzied charges, utilize Barrage and stack the effect up to 16 times to always have a frenzied charge.
- 4. Utilize Glacial Lance to unleash 16 layers of frenzied charges in order to kill with one blow.
Of course, while dealing damage with these active skills, it is also important to unlock and add available passive nodes. Ascendancy Nodes that need to be unlocked first include:
- Avidity
- Thrilling Chase
- Projectile Proximity Specialisation
- Gathering Winds
Gear Selection
In fact, this build has different gear matching solutions for different game difficulties and tasks. After entering the endgame, you have to consider not only the adaptability of the gear, but also the gear with higher rarity as much as possible.
- Armor: Thrillsteel Spired Greathelm and Nightscale Pauascale Gloves (Iron Rune, Glacial Rune, Desert Rune, Storm Rune)
- Weapon: Spear (Iron Rune, Glacial Rune)
- Accessories: Elemental Resistance Rings
- Thawing Charm
Adding appropriate runes to weapons can further expand their original properties, such as Iron Rune and Glacial Rune can increase the physical and cold damage of weapons, and Iron Rune can increase the dodge level of armor.
As for charms, we recommend Thawing Charm, which makes you immune to freezing effects and provides you with increased duration and flask recharge.
The above is the main combination plan for making Glacial Lance Deadeye Build in POE 2 powerful enough to handle most endgame battles. I hope it will be helpful to you! Thank you for reading.
