  Companions have up to 4 modifiers, but not all of them are useful. Summons with good modifiers are more worth obtaining.

  Tier 1 Modifiers

  • Haste Aura: Increases the attack and casting speed of allies on the field by 20% and their movement speed by 10%.
  • Elemental Aura: Increases all elemental resistances of allies on the field by 20%.
  • Temporal Bubble: Forms a bubble around enemies, slowing the movement speed of any enemies that enter the bubble.
  • Invulnerability Aura: A recurring aura that grants allies on the field 5 seconds of invulnerability every 10 seconds.
  • Physical Damage Aura: Increases physical damage to allies on the field by 20%.
  • Energy Shield Aura: Grants allies on the field an additional energy shield equal to 12% of their maximum health.

  Tier 1 modifiers are the best modifiers, and they provide powerful buffs to friendly units, or even outright game-changing ones. If this beast has 2 or 3 Tier 1 modifiers on it, it’s better than hundreds of Divine Orbs.

  Tier 2 Modifiers

  • Elemental Trail: The beast leaves a trail of ice, fire, or lightning behind it. This is only useful for certain builds that utilize elements.
  • All Damage Shocks/Ignites/Chills/Bleeds/Poisons: Your beast companion applies these statuses to enemies when attacking.
  • Heals Allies and Suppresses Foe Recovery: Restores a small amount of health to allies on the field every second, while reducing the amount of health restored by enemies.
  • Hasted: Makes the beast companion move and attack faster.
  • Periodically Unleashes Fire/Cold/Lightning: The companion will explode with an elemental type. Lightning will cause enemies to be haunted; Fire will cause damage and leave a burning ground that will cause fire damage to enemies passing through it; Cold explosions will create ice balls that freeze enemies.
  • Conjures Lighorms: Shocks enemies.

  Tier 2 modifiers are powerful, but not as good as Tier 1 modifiers. If a beast only has Tier 2 modifiers, it is not recommended to capture it.

  

  Tier 3 Modifiers

  • Detonates Nearby Enemy Corpses
  • Elemental Resistance
  • Proximal Tangibility
  • Magma Barrier

  Tier 3 modifiers are less powerful than Tier 2 modifiers, and they can only be used as icing on the cake. Don’t make them your capture target.

  Companion modifiers cannot be changed after capture, and even Chaos Orb or Vaal Orb cannot change them.

  Where To Capture Them?

  

  • Act 3 Troubled Camp Infested Barrens

  You can find a Boar and Sand Lion nearby. They both have excellent Aura effects, and Boar is faster, so it is a better choice.

  Make sure you don’t kill these rare beasts near Troubled Camp. Once you kill them, they won’t respawn when you revive at the spawn point. You’ll have to recreate a new instance of this area, which can waste a lot of time.

  Tame Beast is a fun skill that may not be part of your other skill rotation, but it can provide you with a strong buff and also share damage, so it can provide you with a lot of help when farming currency.
