  Preparation

  First, understand that Templar Astrolabe is completed by killing bosses; for every additional map run within Astrolabe sequence, the boss becomes slightly stronger.

  On average, it takes about six maps to complete an Astrolabe - ranging from a minimum of five to a worst-case scenario of nine - so you should stock up on plenty of maps and Astrolabes beforehand.

  Currently, the price of a Templar Astrolabe hovers around 100 Chaos Orbs, though this fluctuates with the market.

  • Templar:Templar Enshrouding Crystal for shields
  • Vaal:Vaal Enshrouding Crystal for helmets

  Therefore, your first priority is to obtain Enshrouding Crystal corresponding to the equipment slot you want to craft. You then need to obtain a target Unique item with the modifier you want to inherit, and it must belong to the same equipment slot.

  For example, if you want to craft a Vestigial Unique that inherits a large amount of melee critical strike multiplier, you need to use a Vaal Enshrouding Crystal and then use an Abyssus Ezomyte Burgonet, which has a modifier providing more than 100% melee critical strike multiplier.

  Domain of Timeless Conflict is essentially a massive Legion encounter that takes place in a separate map area.

  When clearing Legion encounters in normal maps, monsters and chests drop Splinters belonging to their respective factions. Once you collect 100 Splinters from a faction, they automatically combine into that faction's Emblem. Emblems from each faction can also be traded using PoE currency.

  To enter Domain of Timeless Conflict, you need at least two different faction Emblems. You can use up to five different faction Emblems.

  Each Emblem you use gives the corresponding faction's General and monsters a chance to spawn during the encounter. The base encounter duration is 15 seconds, and each Emblem adds one minute to the encounter's combat time.

  How to Use Crystals of Permutation?

  Once you have prepared your Enshrouded item and enough Emblems, select the Domain of Timeless Conflict option in Atlas, and make sure all Emblems have been placed into the correct slots.

  After entering Domain, do not stand in the glowing circular area in the center! Doing so will immediately start the encounter, while you still need to complete one important step first.

  You need to travel to the top, left, right, and bottom areas of Domain map. Purple icons will appear on the minimap, marking the locations of Crystals of Permutation. Click on a Crystal to open a small window, place your Enshrouded item inside, and confirm. The item will then be locked into that Crystal of Permutation.

  Variant Rarity

  After placing an Enshrouded item into a Crystal of Permutation, hover over Crystal to see a progress bar. The bar increases as you kill enemies. Whenever the kill count reaches the required threshold, the item's Variant Rarity increases by one level, and the progress bar resets to zero.

  Each Enshrouded item can accumulate up to three levels of Variant Rarity, meaning you need to fill the progress bar three times to fully charge it. Each level of Variant Rarity increases the chance of obtaining a rarer result when you finally reveal Vestigial Unique.

  There are 4 Crystals of Permutation in Domain, allowing you to charge up to four Enshrouded items at the same time. All kills count toward every item placed in Crystals, so charging multiple items simultaneously does not reduce your efficiency.

  Claiming Your Vestigial Unique Items

  

  Once you have placed all your Enshrouded items into Crystals of Permutation, you can step into the glowing central circle to start the encounter.

  All monsters spawn around the outer edge of the arena, with each faction occupying a different area. The faction Generals are mixed in with the soldiers and are marked by large green icons on the minimap.

  When there are no nearby targets left to kill, return to the glowing central circle. The circle will light up again, and all dead monsters will respawn after a few seconds.

  Generals have their own respawn cooldown, so they will not appear during every rotation. However, if you continue cycling through killing enemies and resetting the encounter, they will eventually return.

  Once the progress bar is full, you can take away your Vestigial Unique Items. However, the higher Variant Rarity, the better the result. If possible, it is recommended to increase Variant Rarity all the way to level 3.

  If your item has not reached maximum Variant Rarity after one Domain of Timeless Conflict, or has not even completed the first level, there is no need to worry. You simply need to open Domain of Timeless Conflict again.

  In the meantime, you can freely run other maps, fight bosses, or engage in other content. When you enter Domain of Timeless Conflict again, your Enshrouded items will still be stored in Crystals of Permutation, and their progress will remain unchanged.

  Of course, the most crucial factor is having a solid understanding of the final boss, Kitava, the Insatiable, so you can defeat him quickly without dying.

  The fight against Kitava in Act 5 unfolds in multiple phases; you must alternate between attacking the boss himself and his heart until the kill is secured.
