CoD BO7 Best Sniper Loadouts & Game Settings | Perks, Attachments & Aiming Guide
Sniper rifles, with their high damage, high rate of fire, and sustained high damage at long range, are a favorite among many players, and most importantly, they look incredibly cool.
However, many players struggle to get kills with sniper rifles because they are somewhat clumsy compared to submachine guns and assault rifles. While they can kill with a single shot, the time it takes to aim and scope in makes it easy for opponents to seize the opportunity and eliminate you. So, let's look at how to make your sniper rifle feel as natural as your arm.

Sniper Rifle Selection
- VS Recon: Currently the only bolt-action sniper rifle in the game, it's the best weapon for rapid aiming, offering both excellent handling and a pleasing appearance.
- Shadow SK: A high-damage sniper rifle, but it doesn't look good.
- XR-3 Ion: A gun similar to P-06 from Black Ops 3, it's not only difficult to use but also looks unattractive.
Season 1, starting December 4th, may add a new bolt-action sniper rifle, but VS Recon remains the best choice for now.
Weapon Loadouts
Weapon Prestige Attachments
Weapon Prestige Attachments are a new system introduced in Black Ops 7, special attachments unlocked after a weapon is upgraded to Prestige.
VS Recon's underbarrel attachment improves rechamber stabilization, aim speed, sprint-to-fire speed, and recoil control. This attachment significantly enhances the weapon's handling and is essential.
Shadow SK's laser designator provides near-100% accuracy without aiming down sights, which is somewhat overpowered and may be nerfed. XR-3 Ion's muzzle attachment greatly improves hip-fire accuracy, but is relatively average.
Core Attachments
Strelok Laser is the most important attachment for sniping, allowing for high-precision hits before fully aiming and firing during rapid aiming. Due to the slow aiming-fire rate of CoD Black Ops 7, this attachment is essential for any sniper rifle. If you need to equip even more attachments, you can use Gunfighter Wild Card, which allows you to equip up to 8 attachments for your sniper rifle.
Recommended Perks
- Flak Jacket and Tactical Mask: Essential for dealing with explosives and Psychedelic Grenades in most situations.
- Tracker: Displays the direction of the nearest enemy on the mini-map after a kill, aiding in consecutive kills.
- Gung Ho: With this perk enabled, after firing, the weapon stays centered on the screen and ready, potentially improving accuracy in subsequent shots.
Perks like Lightweight, Scavenger, Dexterity, or Bankroll can be used in the triple red perks configuration for a speed advantage, while Ninja and Ghost are also viable options.
Weapon Blueprints
Different weapon blueprints affect the feel of the weapon. For example, variants like VS Recon Green Thunder, Helm Piercer, and Ballistic Scyth3 have larger scope models, making them feel bulkier and less suitable for quick aiming than the default weapon.
Aiming Techniques
After you've chosen your weapon, practice is essential. You can practice with bots in CoD Black Ops 7 bot lobbies to familiarize yourself with the weapon's aiming speed and rate of fire.
The first skill you need to master is center aiming, the core technique for quick aiming in modern Call of Duty. Since sniper rifles don't have aim assist, you should pre-position the enemy in the center of the screen and then aim down sights and fire, and it is more reliable than relying on dragging the aim button.
If you know which locations on the map are likely to have enemies, you can pre-aim at those locations. When facing multiple enemies, prioritize eliminating the target most likely to pose a threat.
Game Settings
Graphics Settings
- Display Mode: Full screen exclusive is recommended for optimal performance.
- NVIDIA Reflex: Low Latency Mode should be enabled.
- V-Sync: Menu V-Sync and Gameplay V-Sync should both be disabled.
- DLSS: Set to Performance mode, with Sharpness around 65.
- Texture Quality: Most detail and texture settings should be set to Low, but Terrain Quality should be set to very high to ensure a good basic visual experience.
- Field of View: 105 FOV is recommended, which is a balance point for sniping and multiplayer games. 120 FOV will make enemies appear too small.
- First-Person Camera Movement: Set to Least, which can significantly reduce screen shake and visual clutter.
Interface Settings
- Color Customization: Select Filter Two for Color Filter, and set World Color Intensity to 100 for more vibrant and prominent colors, making enemies easier to spot.
- Gameplay HUD: Reduce the in-game HUD scale to minimize visual distractions.
- Kill Feed: Turn off Medals and Notifications, and leave kill feed duration at the default setting.
- Radar: Turn off radar and compass for a cleaner interface.
- Crosshair: Set the crosshair to static or turn it off. Only keep the center point of the crosshair and set it to static, with a white or green color (just enough to be noticeable), and 100% opacity. This helps focus on center aiming.
Controller Settings
- Sensitivity: Horizontal Stick Sensitivity 3.0, Vertical Stick Sensitivity 2.60.
- Dead Zone: Left Stick Min and Right Stick Min are key settings, and lower values result in more responsive gameplay.
- Aim Response Curve Type: Dynamic is recommended.
- Movement: Set Wall Jump Assist to Sideways Only for smoother wall bouncing, and set slide and dive behavior to Hybrid for easier control.
Whether it's weapon attachments or game settings, everything should be based on what feels comfortable and natural to you; these are the basics. If you want to improve your skills, the most important thing is repetition and practice, but don't forget that enjoying the game is your ultimate goal.

CoD BO7 Supported By AMD Adrenalin 25.11.1 Driver: Performance Boosts, Installation Steps And New Potential Issues
It's been exactly 10 days since CoD: Black Ops 7 officially launched. What do you think? Frankly, BO7 delivers one of the best Call of Duty multiplayer experiences in recent years. It not only fully leverages the foundation of BO6, with excellent gunplay, responsiveness, and smoothness, but the addition of vehicles also diversifies movement and combat, bringing a satisfying blend of large-scale exploration and classic close-quarters combat.
However, so many settings and system optimizations pose a significant challenge to game stability and player device requirements. While recent patches have improved game performance, with some players reporting that frame rates and responsiveness aren't severely impacting the experience, others still encounter issues such as desynchronization, latency, and crashes, especially among players with specific hardware configurations or those playing the solo campaign. These unstable performance issues are also the most criticized aspects of CoD BO7 since its release.
Fortunately, AMD recently released the latest Adrenalin Edition 25.11.1 WHQL drivers, officially adding support for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Anno 117: Pax Romana, and ARC Raiders. This update may break the current embarrassing situation of frequent crashes and errors in BO7.

Driver Optimization Details
Adrenalin Edition 25.11.1 driver update includes game-specific optimizations, fixes issues such as crashes after enabling Easy Anti-Cheat, and ensures compatibility with super-sampling technologies like DLSS 4 and FSR, which are crucial for maintaining high frame rates in games. This driver prevents performance issues like stuttering and ensures stability during game launch and when using Radeon Overlay.
The game engine is built with AMD instruction sets in mind, giving Radeon GPUs an advantage. This update also fixes an issue where CPU metrics might not display in AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition application, ensuring performance monitoring tools function correctly.
In addition, Adrenalin 25.11.1 and later driver versions include specific optimizations for BO7, ensuring optimal performance and compatibility.
- This driver update enables AMD FSR Ray Regeneration in BO7 for compatible GPUs, which improves the visual quality of ray tracing by reducing noise.
- Performance issues such as rendering thread latency and frame synchronization problems that older driver versions might have caused in Black Ops 7 have also been resolved.
- A crash issue when using Radeon Overlay in games like CoD BO7 with Easy Anti-Cheat enabled has been fixed.
How To Install This Driver?
Therefore, if you want to improve operational stability, you can try installing this updated driver version. Next, we will show you how to update the graphics driver for Black Ops 7. The operation is very simple, so let's get straight to the point.
Whether you play CoD: Black Ops 7 on Steam, Battle.net, Xbox Game Pass, or the PC version, the operation method is exactly the same.
- First, you need to ensure that Black Ops 7 is completely closed and not running in the background.
- Next, you need to open NVIDIA app. If you haven't installed NVIDIA app yet, please install it first.
- After installation, open the app and tap the left sidebar, then select the driver section.
- Then, you will see a Game Ready Drivers option. Above this small icon, you will see GeForce Game Ready Drivers labeled Installed, Needs to be installed, or Update Ready.
- Tap Download or Update in the upper right corner.
- After the download is complete, tap Install. The installation process may take a few minutes. This driver is specifically optimized for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and supports features such as DLSS 4, Multi Frame Generation, and NVIDIA Reflex.
- Please note: The screen may go black a few times during installation, but after installation, the best solution is to restart your computer and then launch Black Ops 7 again. Everything will be ready. It's that simple.
However, it's important to note that even with specific optimizations in AMD Adrenalin 25.11.1, regular driver updates are still recommended to fix bugs, improve performance, and ensure compatibility with Black Ops 7's operating system.

Potential Issues
While this update fixes the bug causing crashes in Black Ops 7 because of a conflict with Easy Anti-Cheat on Radeon Overlay, as well as some performance and compatibility issues, is everything perfect after the update?
The reality is not so optimistic. In fact, some users have reported a performance decrease after updating this driver, with more frequent stutters and driver crashes.
However, neither AMD nor Call of Duty has provided any explanation for this issue. Therefore, we can only speculate that this situation varies depending on the player's hardware and system configuration, meaning that not all users will encounter the same problem or experience the same improvements.
How To Deal With This Issue?
Because the true cause of this situation is currently unknown, to avoid further impacting the gaming experience, it is recommended that you immediately check your updates and ensure you are using the latest driver version for the most stable performance.
Additionally, if you're using an uncommon system configuration to play Black Ops 7, you might want to postpone your update or check if other users with similar hardware have already updated. This can help you avoid some of the risks and issues that have already surfaced.
Finally, before updating, make sure to back up all important data in case of system failure.
In summary, this Adrenalin Edition 25.11.1 driver update adds game support for COD Black Ops 7, improves stability by fixing Radeon Overlay and Easy Anti-Cheat issues, and restores CPU metrics in AMD Software.
Unfortunately, while these improvements make the game more reliable and enhance BO7 player experience by fixing critical bugs, some vulnerabilities still need to be addressed. Therefore, focusing on fixing current issues is clearly more important at this time than releasing more new features.

CoD Black Ops 7 Sales Drop Analysis | SBMM Issues, Failed Campaign, And Battlefield 6 Competition
Call of Duty series is one of the most successful FPAS game franchises, boasting a massive global fanbase, with some players having enjoyed the series for over 20 years.
However, the latest installment, Black Ops 7, has performed poorly in terms of sales. Its physical sales have plummeted by 61% compared to its predecessors, a truly staggering figure. Furthermore, unlike the hype surrounding Black Ops 6, Modern Warfare 3, and Modern Warfare 2, the publisher hasn't promoted the game's release figures as aggressively, further suggesting a significant commercial setback for CoD Black Ops 7.
So what exactly caused this poor sales performance? Besides competitors, the game's quality and the developer's failure to deliver on promises have also played a role.

Market Competition
Battlefield, a competitor of Call of Duty, has been making high-profile announcements, claiming Battlefield 6 will be the number one FPS game and the best-selling shooter of 2025, and thanking players for bringing Battlefield back.
Game industry analysts' data shows that Battlefield 6 is not only the best-selling shooter of 2025, but also the top-selling game across all genres in 2025. Black Ops 7 didn't even make the list.
However, this sales chart is based on data up to November 1st, before Black Ops 7's official release. Therefore, this chart doesn't fully reflect the final performance throughout the year.
Another statistic on this chart is more convincing: Battlefield 6's revenue in its first month of release was the highest of any game in the past three years. The last game to surpass it in first-month revenue was Modern Warfare 2.
Black Ops 7 still has Black Friday and Christmas sales seasons to contend with, but Battlefield 6 has already established a significant lead, and CoD's competitors this year aren't limited to Battlefield. ARC Raiders, released at the end of October, has also attracted a considerable number of players with its exquisite graphics and excellent quality. Overall, its chances of a comeback are slim.
Campaign Mode
Black Ops 7's Campaign mode was widely considered utterly terrible by players, not only one of the worst in Call of Duty series but also among the worst in all shooters.
Even though Campaign mode provided a significant amount of XP for rapid leveling, its extremely low ratings meant almost no players were willing to play it. Players preferred to take time in multiplayer, Zombies, or leveling up in CoD Black Ops 7 bot lobbies rather than playing Campaign mode.
Furthermore, Endgame mode, originally intended to be unlocked only after completing the campaign, was made free for everyone less than a week after the game's release, further demonstrating the campaign mode's failure.
To salvage the situation, the developers implemented a reward program. Players who played the campaign before November 21st could receive:
- 3 hours of double XP
- Double Weapon XP
- Double Battle Pass XP
- 3 Perkaholic Gobblegums
Nuketown 2025
The classic map Nuketown has returned, a classic map present in almost every Call of Duty game.
However, Black Ops 7 is set in 2035. This raises a logical question: why would players in 2035 be fighting on a map styled after 10 years (2025)? The development team didn't update the map to fit the game's future theme.
This actually confirms an early rumor that Black Ops 7 was originally planned to launch with remastered versions of all Black Ops 2 maps, similar to Modern Warfare 3. However, later plans changed, resulting in the retention of some legacy content, such as Nuketown 2025, that didn't align with the final design.
SBMM Controversy
Before the release of Black Ops 7, the developers announced a new matchmaking system to minimize the impact of SBMM. This new system prioritized network connection quality and quickly matched players of varying skill levels, providing a casual gaming experience.
This new system performed well in the Beta, boasting extremely fast matchmaking, very low and stable ping, and accurate hit detection.
However, after the official release, some players reported significantly longer matchmaking times, ranging from 30 seconds to 1 minute, unstable ping, and frequent high latency. Hit detection deteriorated, and packet bursts became more frequent. Most matches felt more challenging, with player skill levels seemingly being intentionally matched.
Furthermore, even if a player performs exceptionally well in a match, they might be kicked from their current Persistent Lobbies and required to re-match, contradicting the initial No Disbanding Lobbies claim.
Therefore, players believe the developers lied about Open Matchmaking feature. They believe the official matchmaking mode isn't Classic Matchmaking advertised, and that a strong SBMM (Skill-Based Matchmaking) is still operating behind the scenes.
This ambiguity stems from the developers' use of the "minimum considerations for SBMM" claim in their advertising, which allows for interpretation. This minimum could be 5% or 49%, it's unclear, and players can't verify it.
Games like Battlefield 6, which truly don't have SBMM, offer a significantly more casual and diverse experience than Black Ops 7. This might be due to a large influx of casual players to Battlefield 6, or perhaps Black Ops 7 still retains protected tiers for new players.
Despite optimizations in multiplayer mode, players' feelings about CoD BO7 are similar to its predecessor. While its technology is top-notch in the industry, if it cannot satisfy players in terms of gameplay, then Call of Duty series may not be able to maintain its appeal to players.

CoD Black Ops 7 No Fear Operator Skins Guide | How To Defeat Dr. Faulkner?
CoD BO7 Endgame is a mode unlocked after completing all 11 campaign missions. Up to 32 players will explore Avalon together, and a successful extraction will earn XP and retain acquired weapons.
This mode also features boss battles. You need to level your operator to at least level 40 to participate in this battle. Winning the battle will unlock a No Fear Operator Skin, in addition to Exotic Weapon Case.
Currently, 12 operators can unlock this skin, meaning you'll have to fight Dr. Faulkner 12 times. Let's take a look at how to defeat Dr. Faulkner step by step.

Endgame Mode Guide
Operator System
Endgame Operator System features a Zombies mode similar to Modern Warfare 3 and a DMZ mode similar to Warzone.
Currently, there are only 4 Operator Slots, each representing a unique Operator with independent levels and abilities, and more slots may be added in the future.
Weapons And Extraction
After selecting an Operator, you can choose your weapons. Weapon slots include Primary Weapon, Melee Weapon, Field Equipment, and Field Acquisition.
You can change your starting loadout, but doing so will lower the weapon's rarity if you upgraded it during your previous Endgame run.
The highest weapon rarity is Exotic. Exotic weapons can only be obtained randomly by completing contracts in Tier 4 Zones, or randomly from an Exotic Weapon Case after defeating the boss Dr. Faulkner.
You can extract with one field Acquisition, which you can carry into any subsequent match, regardless of your Operator selection.
Skills And Combat Rating
Your abilities, skills, and Combat Rating are tied to your selected Operator. Each Operator's Combat Rating is calculated and upgraded independently.
Operator Skins
Dr. Faulkner is a character who appeared in the campaign mode and has become a Disciple in Endgame. To unlock operator skins, you need to defeat Dr. Faulkner with the corresponding operator and complete the extraction. This will unlock his or her free skin.
- No Fear Operator Skins:
- Mason
- Samuels
- Anderson
- Wei Lin
- Vermaak
- Zaveri
- Jurado
- Grimm
- Falkner
- Razor
- Kagan 50/50
Other operator skins require you to own Black Ops 7 Vault Edition, Black Ops 6, or reach a certain level to unlock. If you want to level up quickly (not referring to Endgame mode), the best way is to first complete all the co-op campaigns, then combine this with double XP tokens in CoD Black Ops 7 bot lobbies. This will allow you to reach level 55 and unlock most operator skins.
How To Defeat Dr. Faulkner?
Preparation
Dr. Faulkner is located on a separate island in the bottom left corner of Avalon, on Protocol Point of Interest.
It's recommended that your Combat Rating be above 45, which will grant a damage and health bonus. If you have teammates assisting (whose Combat Rating should also be at least 45), you can try challenging him around level 40.
Dr. Faulkner summons many zombies, making the battle very intense. Therefore, it's strongly recommended that you have a 4-plate armor vest. Choose your most familiar weapon, but upgrade it to Legendary rarity at least in Tier 4 Zone, and Exotic weapons are even better.
Weapons like War Machine, Hand Cannon, and orange-rarity grenade launchers are very effective against Dr. Faulkner, while AAROW 109 Launcher is especially strong.
Phase 1
You first need to clear the toxic growth or spores throughout the island. These spores are usually distributed in groups of 4-6 inside and outside buildings. It's recommended that you and your teammates divide the work: one teammate is responsible for controlling the area and drawing the zombies' attention, so you can carry some Decoy Grenades. The other teammate can use the grenade launcher to quickly destroy the spores and get the progress bar to 100% as soon as possible.
Phase 2
After you've destroyed all the spores, Dr. Faulkner and elite enemies will appear. You can use the terrain for cover and firing, such as rocks on the coast or rooftops, but remember to watch out for enemies coming from behind.
Make good use of the grappling hook and gliding for movement. Replenish your armor plates at ammo caches in a timely manner.
You can also use active abilities to find a good angle to shoot at Dr. Faulkner, allowing you to deal very effective damage for a period of time. Utilize Drone Pod to damage the boss and surrounding enemies.
Here's also a little trick for stealing victory. Since Endgame is a endless server, other squads' countdowns may have already started when you join.
You can check if other squads are challenging the boss at the start of the game and then join them to form a Platoon, just like in DMZ and MWZ. A team of 6 to 8 people makes the battle much easier.
The End Of The Battle
After defeating Dr. Faulkner, you need to confirm the kill to trigger the cutscene and complete the extraction to obtain the operator skin.
Endgame mode is a very promising mode. Judging from the final cutscene, there should be new bosses and even new maps to come, which is something to look forward to.

CoD Black Ops 7 New Preseason Update Breakdown | Nuketown 2025, Endgame Access, Bug Fixes & Season 1 Preview
CoD: Black Ops 7 has just been released, and new content is flooding in. This week, we've received another major update, and some content originally slated for Season 1 has been released early because of overwhelming player demand.
Here, we've compiled the most noteworthy news from this week's update, hoping it will be helpful.

Season 1 & DLC 1 Trailer
First, Call of Duty's official X team released a brand new trailer image for Season 1, along with the caption: "The otherworldly substances trapped within thus far defy all analysis..."
The image shows an Energetic Mineral Sample.

At the same time, they also released a trailer for the upcoming DLC 1 map - Astra Malorum. They may release another trailer, a CG animation, or some video clips this week to showcase the last look of this map.
Then, next week they will probably begin releasing the remainder of Season 1 content, including roadmaps, trailers, a showcase of the Battle Pass, and the upcoming Operators Bundles. All of this will be revealed the week after Zombies trailer release.
Preseason Update Patch Notes
In addition, the developers released a brand new preseason update patch note, with a global update date of November 19th. Here are all the noteworthy updates:
Daily Challenges
The first update is Daily Challenges. It fixes an issue where Daily Challenges wouldn't reset after entering a new Prestige. This issue was initially discovered on November 14th but persisted; it has now been resolved.
Multiplayer
Next is the multiplayer test map, fixing an issue where players might arrive at unexpected locations on maps such as Scar, Flagship, Colossus, Hijacked, and Toshin.
They also updated the multiplayer interface, fixed an issue with some overclocking options being out of order, and an issue where some Operators were displayed as inactive, and updated various crash and stability issues.
Zombies
Regarding Zombies mode, the issue where progress wasn't being recorded in Jump Pad-related T.E.D.D. Tasks has been fixed. They've also fixed an issue where players might receive Action Hero Calling Card before actually obtaining it.
Additionally, they've updated the interface, fixing an issue where players would get stuck on CoD Black Ops 7 bot lobbies before loading a match after the host entered certain menus in a team. Meanwhile, issues with certain blueprints reverting to basic weapons when used in configuration, and overlapping vehicle control menus after opening the tracking map, have finally been resolved in this update.
Campaign
Regarding Campaign Camo Challenges, issues with some Mastery Camo Challenges being too demanding and the inability to complete Multitasking Camo Challenge have been fixed.
Notably, Dead Ops Arcade 4 has finally been optimized in this update; damage for all ray gun levels has been adjusted, and the issue of excessively high Death Machine damage has been fixed.
Performance
Finally, stability issues have been addressed, fixing various crash stability problems. They also made minor updates to the cooperative campaign, as well as some regular updates.
- Fixed an issue where using a non-teammate to perform cross-team actions when teammates were missing could result in the remaining players in the squad being kicked from the match;
- Fixed an issue where players couldn't pick up keycards in the Escalation mission, as well as stability issues;
- Fixed various crashes and stability issues.
Nuketown 2025
Now for the important part. Nuketown 2025 officially launched in Black Ops 7 on November 20, 2025. This small and fast-paced 6v6 map was originally intended as an update for Season 1, but it was released early as a surprise to fill the gaps players noticed at launch!
Frankly, Nuketown is more than just another map. It's an iconic element of Black Ops series, first appearing in 2010 and appearing multiple times in various forms. This time, we're getting a remastered version of Nuketown 2025, retaining its retro-futuristic atmosphere but adding crisper textures and visuals. It's a minor detail, but it makes the map feel fresh while still bringing players back to the past. We're sure players will discover the hidden Easter eggs soon!
It's worth noting that the developers stated this will be a quick update to the game list in preparation for Nuketown 2025. Therefore, there's no maintenance scheduled, meaning no downtime, just a smooth addition to Quick Play and rotations.
Team Deathmatch is now only available in Quick Play, while Core Free-for-All has been removed from Quick Play and will be available in Featured Modes.
Anyway, let's dive into this new interpretation of the chaotic classic CoD BO7 and experience it for ourselves when Nuketown 2025 officially launches.
Free Endgame Access & Bundles
Surprisingly, these aren't the only things we'll be getting this week.
Recently, the developers stated they've seen very positive feedback from players regarding Black Ops 7's Endgame mode. So, starting Friday, November 21st, all Black Ops 7 players will be able to experience Endgame mode.
Currently, to unlock Endgame mode, players must complete the entire campaign. However, starting the 21st, all players will be able to experience Endgame without completing the campaign. Perhaps this is in response to Battlefield series, as they are launching a free trial; I guess they want players to stay with Call of Duty series.
But players who have already unlocked Endgame mode shouldn't be upset, as you will receive additional rewards. Players who have already gained access to Endgame mode before its official release on Friday will receive the following rewards:
- Three 1-hour Double Level XP Tokens
- Three 1-hour Double Weapon XP Tokens
- Three 1-hour Battle Pass XP Tokens
- Three Perkaholic Gobblegums
In addition to the unique rewards unlocked in the co-op campaign, global XP, and an exclusive camo tracker, there's more.
In short, this is what's expected to launch this week. This update will bring the first event before the start of Black Ops 7 Season 1, free rewards, and a series of fixes. Hope to see you at Nuketown 2025!

CoD Black Ops 7 Top Perks And Wildcards | Best Strategies For Maximizing Your Combat Efficiency
When it comes to shooters, since they lack surreal elements, your attacks are based entirely on weapon abilities. Based on this characteristic, Call of Duty: Black Ops series introduced various mechanics to enrich your attack options.
These mechanics are typically represented by perks, supplemented by wildcards, loadouts, etc., whose main function is to grant you new skills or buffs after adding them.
In Black Ops 7, released on November 14th, the game further optimized the perk system through slot changes and perk merging, while also introducing 9 wildcards.
Perks act more like external skills; you can select and equip them to improve your movement and combat efficiency. Wildcards, on the other hand, allow you to customize your setup in unique ways, such as carrying more weapons or perks.
Based on this, we will recommend the top perks and wildcards worth equipping in the current BO7.

Black Ops 7 Perks Overview
First, you need to know that each Black Ops 7 character only has three perk slots. This means that without special wildcard buffs, you can only equip a maximum of three perks.
All perks are divided into three categories: Enforcer (offensive), Recon (re-conative), and Strategist (supportive), represented by red, blue, and green icons.
Without wildcards, the number of perks available per slot is limited. Therefore, careful selection is necessary to maximize the effectiveness of all perks.
If you're unsure whether certain perks are right for you, you can equip them and buy CoD Black Ops 7 bot lobbies to test them in a more relaxed and safer combat environment.
Best Slot 1 Perks
Players generally seem to prefer equipping green and blue perks for the first two slots, as they focus on survivability, mobility, and basic defense, as well as awareness, gear operation, and counter-tactics, respectively.
Therefore, we follow this default guideline and recommend the blue Ghost for slot 1.
This perk makes your bomb-handling movements undetectable by enemy reconnaissance pulses and drones, and makes your movements more stealthy when using a sniper rifle, giving you a distinct stealth style.
Another Recon perk, Ninja, has a similar effect, making your movements quieter and less noticeable to the enemy. However, it's important to note that you cannot use both perks simultaneously unless you equip special wildcards.
Alternatively, you can insert the support-type Flak Jacket in slot 1. It reduces the damage you take from explosions and fire, making it suitable for rushing towards and attempting to capture enemy strongholds, as the firepower you'll face at this point is often lethal.
Best Slot 2 Perks
In the second slot, we highly recommend equipping the green Fast Hands. Its effect is to allow you to switch weapons faster and extend the fuse time when throwing grenades.
The first effect is easy to understand: in a fast-paced shooter like BO7, once your primary weapon's ammo is depleted, if you can't switch weapons in time, you're likely to be killed by the enemy. Having Fast Hands significantly increases your survivability.
The second effect, while seemingly contradicting "fast," actually gives you more time to think and adjust your aim when throwing grenades, maximizing the explosive damage.
Another perk worth including in slot 2 is Vigilance. Belonging to Recon category, it helps you gather more intelligence. More specifically, this usually manifests as increased mini-map visibility or immunity to enemy jammers.
Best Slot 3 Perks
In this slot, we'll focus on recommending red perks, such as Bankroll. It rewards you with 150 Scorestreaks upon respawning, with the potential to unlock more Scorestreaks that provide supplies.
Another worthwhile red perk is Looper, which allows you to repeatedly gain Scorestreaks from the same hit, ideal for racking up points or breaking win streaks.
If you want to equip Recon or Strategist type perks in this slot, the blue Tracker is highly recommended. It displays the approximate location of nearby enemies and their footsteps on the mini-map.
More importantly, if you're aiming later, this perk can automatically mark enemies and immediately show the direction of the next nearest enemy on the mini-map after a kill.
What Are Combat Specialties?
The game allows you to unlock combat specialties as new buffs based on the types of all the perks you end up equipping. If you equip all three slots with perks of the same color, you can unlock the following core specialties:
- All red - Enforcer: Briefly increases your movement and health regeneration speed.
- All green - Strategist: Increases target score, speeds up equipment deployment, and reduces distance.
- All blue - Recon: Immediately sees the direction of the nearest target after respawning.
If at least two of the three perks are of different categories, you can unlock the following hybrid specialties:
- Red and blue - Scout: After being killed by bullets, you are completely hidden on the enemy mini-map for 5 seconds.
- Red and green - Tactician: You gain an extra 10 seconds of points from bullet kills when you get an assist.
- Blue and green - Operative: You gain a Field Upgrade charge for stealth kills.
Therefore, in addition to choosing the best perks, you should activate the most suitable combat specialties based on your personal needs to enhance the overall effectiveness of your character's perks system.
Best Wildcards
Currently, there are nine wildcards available in CoD Black Ops 7:
- Tac Expert: Unlocked at level 15
- Overkill: Unlocked at level 20
- Danger Close: Unlocked at level 24
- Gunfighter: Unlocked at level 29
- Perk Greed: Unlocked at level 33
- Prepper: Unlocked at level 38
- Flyswatter: Unlocked at level 41
- High Roller: Unlocked at level 48
- Specialist: Unlocked at level 53
While each loadout can equip one wildcard, you can't possibly create nine loadouts to rotate constantly, especially since new wildcards may be released in the future. Therefore, the following are recommended:
- Overkill: Equip any non-melee weapon in both your primary and secondary weapon slots.
- Gunfighter: Adds three extra attachments to your primary weapon.
- Perk Greed: Allows you to equip one extra perk.
That concludes our introduction. As you progress through the game, you'll unlock more perks, and the game may add even more. You can update your own best perks or wildcards lists at any time - flexible adjustments are the best strategy!
