The image shows an Energetic Mineral Sample.

At the same time, they also released a trailer for the upcoming DLC 1 map - Astra Malorum. They may release another trailer, a CG animation, or some video clips this week to showcase the last look of this map.

Then, next week they will probably begin releasing the remainder of Season 1 content, including roadmaps, trailers, a showcase of the Battle Pass, and the upcoming Operators Bundles. All of this will be revealed the week after Zombies trailer release.

Preseason Update Patch Notes

In addition, the developers released a brand new preseason update patch note, with a global update date of November 19th. Here are all the noteworthy updates:

Daily Challenges

The first update is Daily Challenges. It fixes an issue where Daily Challenges wouldn't reset after entering a new Prestige. This issue was initially discovered on November 14th but persisted; it has now been resolved.

Multiplayer

Next is the multiplayer test map, fixing an issue where players might arrive at unexpected locations on maps such as Scar, Flagship, Colossus, Hijacked, and Toshin.

They also updated the multiplayer interface, fixed an issue with some overclocking options being out of order, and an issue where some Operators were displayed as inactive, and updated various crash and stability issues.

Zombies

Regarding Zombies mode, the issue where progress wasn't being recorded in Jump Pad-related T.E.D.D. Tasks has been fixed. They've also fixed an issue where players might receive Action Hero Calling Card before actually obtaining it.

Additionally, they've updated the interface, fixing an issue where players would get stuck on CoD Black Ops 7 bot lobbies before loading a match after the host entered certain menus in a team. Meanwhile, issues with certain blueprints reverting to basic weapons when used in configuration, and overlapping vehicle control menus after opening the tracking map, have finally been resolved in this update.

Campaign

Regarding Campaign Camo Challenges, issues with some Mastery Camo Challenges being too demanding and the inability to complete Multitasking Camo Challenge have been fixed.

Notably, Dead Ops Arcade 4 has finally been optimized in this update; damage for all ray gun levels has been adjusted, and the issue of excessively high Death Machine damage has been fixed.

Performance

Finally, stability issues have been addressed, fixing various crash stability problems. They also made minor updates to the cooperative campaign, as well as some regular updates.

  • Fixed an issue where using a non-teammate to perform cross-team actions when teammates were missing could result in the remaining players in the squad being kicked from the match;
  • Fixed an issue where players couldn't pick up keycards in the Escalation mission, as well as stability issues;

Nuketown 2025

Now for the important part. Nuketown 2025 officially launched in Black Ops 7 on November 20, 2025. This small and fast-paced 6v6 map was originally intended as an update for Season 1, but it was released early as a surprise to fill the gaps players noticed at launch!

Frankly, Nuketown is more than just another map. It's an iconic element of Black Ops series, first appearing in 2010 and appearing multiple times in various forms. This time, we're getting a remastered version of Nuketown 2025, retaining its retro-futuristic atmosphere but adding crisper textures and visuals. It's a minor detail, but it makes the map feel fresh while still bringing players back to the past. We're sure players will discover the hidden Easter eggs soon!

It's worth noting that the developers stated this will be a quick update to the game list in preparation for Nuketown 2025. Therefore, there's no maintenance scheduled, meaning no downtime, just a smooth addition to Quick Play and rotations.

Team Deathmatch is now only available in Quick Play, while Core Free-for-All has been removed from Quick Play and will be available in Featured Modes.

Anyway, let's dive into this new interpretation of the chaotic classic CoD BO7 and experience it for ourselves when Nuketown 2025 officially launches.

Free Endgame Access & Bundles

Surprisingly, these aren't the only things we'll be getting this week.

Recently, the developers stated they've seen very positive feedback from players regarding Black Ops 7's Endgame mode. So, starting Friday, November 21st, all Black Ops 7 players will be able to experience Endgame mode.

Currently, to unlock Endgame mode, players must complete the entire campaign. However, starting the 21st, all players will be able to experience Endgame without completing the campaign. Perhaps this is in response to Battlefield series, as they are launching a free trial; I guess they want players to stay with Call of Duty series.

But players who have already unlocked Endgame mode shouldn't be upset, as you will receive additional rewards. Players who have already gained access to Endgame mode before its official release on Friday will receive the following rewards:

  • Three 1-hour Double Level XP Tokens
  • Three 1-hour Double Weapon XP Tokens
  • Three 1-hour Battle Pass XP Tokens
  • Three Perkaholic Gobblegums

In addition to the unique rewards unlocked in the co-op campaign, global XP, and an exclusive camo tracker, there's more.

In short, this is what's expected to launch this week. This update will bring the first event before the start of Black Ops 7 Season 1, free rewards, and a series of fixes. Hope to see you at Nuketown 2025!
