Grinding Gear Games has announced an announcement for their next Path of Exile 3.12 expansion, with that announcement set for September 1. Shortly after Harvest was launched, players expressed their expectations for POE continued development this year. Now Grinding Gear Games is about to fulfill its promise.
Developers normally operate on a 13-week schedule, allowing them to release four expansions a year in March, June, September, and December. It took 14 weeks to develop Harvest due to the limitations of working from home and as they indicated in the post linked above, this meant they would need one of our expansions to be developed in just 12 weeks to make up for that lost time. So they want to develop the POE 3.12 expansion pack within 12 weeks, but due to the huge size of the league, they think it will be more secure to use a 13th week.
So their current plan is to announce 3.12 on September 1 with its launch happening on September 18 for PC and September 23 for console (PDT). It is worth noting that these dates may change, so players need to continue to pay attention to it.
This means that the Harvest will end at 3 pm (PDT) on September 14. So if players want to have more gaming experience, the best way is to go to IGGM to purchase POE Currency, which can help players upgrade their equipment and upgrade smoothly. From now until the release of 3.12, they do not plan any end-of-league events. They hope to concentrate all resources on 3.12 and Path Of Exile 2, but players may also see some community-run events pop up.
They plan to start developing 3.13 before 3.12 is completed so that it can be completed before Christmas. They are excited about the 3.12 expansion, because there is a lot of internal buzz about the ways in which it differs from the existing core content. Players look forward to it. If you want to be ahead of others in 3.12, the fastest way is to go to IGGM to buy POE Currency, which not only saves you a lot of unnecessary time, but also makes you better, smoother in the game, and IGGM has cheap prices and the most considerate service, as well as the safest online payment system, 100% guarantee of product safety.

Path of Exile 3.29 Luminary Mercenary Build Crafting Strategy for Fast Currency: How to Break Your Map Profits?
The introduction of Luminary, the third Scion Ascendancy class, has turned the mercenary-focused playstyle into a popular and highly effective choice in Path of Exile 3.29.
Naturally, to maximize the combat rewards from this mechanic, you need to craft a solid Luminary Mercenary build. Here, we introduce a build centered around Rogue Exile enemy type.

What is the core of this build?
To craft this Luminary Mercenary build, the key lies in leveraging the synergy between Rogue Exiles and specific Scarabs; by summoning large numbers of Rogue Exiles, you trigger the generation of more high-tier mercenaries.
By combining this with specific Atlas passives, you can upgrade your mercenaries' gear to higher rarities. This allows you to earn more PoE currency or recruit superior mercenaries while fighting alongside them as a Luminary.
However, crafting this build comes with strict requirements for your initial survivability and damage output, as you will need to clear high-modifier maps filled with Rogue Exiles, and the mercenaries accompanying them, that deal massive damage and possess large health pools.
On the other hand, the build's ultimate profitability depends on the value of the mercenaries you secure and the drop rates of rare items and currency, making the returns somewhat volatile. If you prefer a more stable playstyle, this build might not be for you.
Which scarabs should you add?
Given Luminary's unique mercenary-based mechanics, the first step in crafting this build isn't selecting skills, as is typical for other builds, but rather unlocking and configuring the right Scarabs.
First, use Anarchy Scarabs and specific Atlas passive nodes to flood your maps with Rogue Exiles. Pair this with Trarthan Scarab of Surprising Alliances, which gives these Exiles a 50% chance to bring a Wild Mercenary along with them.
Next, add Trarthan Scarab of Infamy; this converts the primary mercenaries that spawn into the Infamous variant and increases the number of random mercenary encounters within the map.
Finally, Trarthan Scarab of Renown forces all gear carried by mercenaries in the area to be converted to Unique quality.
As for Astrolabe, you technically don't have to include it, but a traditional Templar Astrolabe offers solid bonuses, such as yielding more currency, Scarabs, or other rewards during your mapping runs.

How to improve mapping efficiency?
To secure high-quality and high-quantity mercenaries for your Luminary Mercenary build, on top of the bonuses provided by the aforementioned items, you must first be selective about which maps you run.
Generally, it is best to choose maps with clear layouts that allow for rapid clearing; ideally, each run should take less than two minutes.
Top choices include Mesa or City Square, while Dunes, Strand, and Atoll are also viable options. Maps like Jungle Valley should be avoided whenever possible.
Next, you need to adjust the difficulty by rolling map modifiers, as this directly impacts your final returns. While eight-mod maps usually offer the highest yields, certain modifiers require caution or should be avoided entirely.
For instance, modifiers that increase monster life can cause Rogue Exiles' health to skyrocket, dragging out the encounter and reducing your success rate. Modifiers affecting critical strike chance, damage, or multipliers can also be problematic.
If you struggle with high-difficulty maps, an Alch and Go strategy on moderately difficult maps is a perfectly viable alternative. The underlying mechanics remain the same, but with fewer modifiers involved, the difficulty drops significantly.
Alternatively, if you want maximum ease and minimal hassle, you can simply run the maps as white (normal quality), clearing them without any added modifiers.
You can still achieve substantial returns this way because Rogue Exiles operate on an independent loot system; their rewards are unaffected by map item quantity, rarity, or other modifiers.
Once you've selected your map and difficulty, clear the monsters and the boss quickly, then look for duplicate altars, prioritizing unique item, scarab, and currency duplication.
This ensures that when you encounter and defeat mercenaries, the loot drop rate doubles, accelerating both your profit accumulation and the crafting efficiency for your Luminary Mercenary build.
If you encounter mercenaries with particularly troublesome mod combinations that cause your character to die repeatedly, simply bypass them and move to the next map; do not waste time stubbornly trying to defeat them.
Atlas Tree configuration
Beyond Scarabs, selecting the right passive skills is crucial for maximizing this build's potential.
If you prefer the high-difficulty mapping strategy mentioned earlier, prioritize unlocking the node that guarantees a 100% chance of encountering mercenaries.
Next, Contract Killers node allows your mercenaries to deal double damage to enemy mercenaries and Rogue Exiles. Loot and Pillage grants a 10% chance for mercenaries to drop all their equipped gear upon death, while also guaranteeing a minimum drop of two items.
Regarding Rogue Exile-related passives, unlocking Ruckus increases the chance of encountering additional Exiles, significantly boosting both potential rewards and difficulty. Nodes like Exiled Will and Royal Guard further increase the chances of doubled loot and Exile spawns.
If you plan to farm easier, standard maps, you should still prioritize the 100% mercenary encounter rate but also retain Remarkable Relics and Significant Troves to boost Scarab drop rates.
There is no need to invest in high-risk nodes or those focused on currency and unique item yields, as these benefits can be achieved through the use of Scarabs.
This concludes the overview of the common crafting strategy and workflow for Luminary Mercenary build. Feel free to further refine your gear and skills based on your personal preferences and needs!

Path of Exile 3.29 Delve Complete Guide: From Depth 300 to 1500 | Strategies, Builds & Profit
Many players currently exploring Delve in Path of Exile 3.29 are struggling with how deep to invest their fuel. It's not that deeper exploration automatically yields better rewards, but rather that there's an optimal range. As you explore deeper, the frequency of rare fossils and boss nodes increases significantly, and the yield of Voltaxic Sulphite also rises dramatically.
However, based on extensive practical experience, we know that these rewards peak around level 1500. Continuing deeper won't increase your inventory; it will only make the monsters increasingly ferocious.
Therefore, if your sole focus is on farming efficiency, maintaining a stable exploration depth between 1500 and 1600 levels is ideal.
For players just starting out in PoE, reaching at least level 300 is a reasonable goal, but more importantly, it's crucial to adjust based on your own clearing speed and survivability.
If you find yourself frequently dying at a certain depth or clearing maps very slowly, consider retreating to shallower areas to accumulate gear and gradually progressing as your strength increases.
Having grasped this basic logic, let's examine in detail how the difficulty of Delve changes and how to survive in its deeper layers.

Difficulty Changes
The difficulty of monsters in Delve of Path of Exile continuously increases until level 6000, but their most ferocious phase is between levels 500 and 1200, where monster health and damage increase dramatically.
Once you surpass level 1200 in the game, the difficulty gradually levels off, becoming a more linear increase.
Therefore, a standard, relatively hardcore build can often handle levels 500-600, but to reliably progress to levels 1000 or even 1500, you'll need a character specifically designed for Delve.
Darkness Farming
During our journey, we'll frequently encounter broken walls that can be destroyed with explosives, behind which lie treasures and fossils.
In the current Path of Exile 3.29, all fossils are unique to Delve, and even the lowest-grade fossils have a market value of approximately 8 Chaos Orbs. Each wall typically yields three to ten fossils, with a chance to drop a four-socket Resonator chest.
This Darkness farming is particularly efficient at shallower depths, easily yielding a significant amount of PoE currency. However, as depth increases, darkness damage significantly increases, making the gameplay increasingly difficult and tedious. Therefore, intentionally engaging in Darkness farming in Delve is not recommended.
Voltaxic Generator Upgrades
Next, in Voltaxic Generator interface, we can consume Voltaxic Sulphite to upgrade Sulfite Capacity, Darkness Resistance, Light Radius, Flares, and Dynamite.
However, our top priority is to max out Sulfite Capacity to 65,000. This allows us to store more fuel at once, reducing the number of times we need to travel between the map and Delve in PoE.
The remaining upgrades are up to your playstyle: If you consistently stay below level 1000 and enjoy darkness farming, then focus on increasing Darkness Resistance and Light Radius to improve your comfort.
However, around level 2000, these two attributes become completely ineffective - even investing heavily in Sulphite won't change the stats, so hardcore players shouldn't waste resources on them.
Flares and Dynamite can be upgraded as needed when you have extra Sulphite, but they shouldn't be your core focus.
Hidden Nodes
Hidden nodes occasionally appear on Delve map in PoE 3.29, isolated in the center of the biome without any visible connections.
To find paths to these nodes, follow two basic rules in the game.
First, the path to a hidden node must originate from an existing node and will never occur during a journey between two existing nodes.
In other words, we must find a destroyable fractured wall from the location of a given node.
Second, each node can only have 1, 3, or 4 connections; it can almost never have 2. Therefore, if we find a node that connects only two routes, this location is very likely the entrance to a hidden passage - destroying the wall there will reveal the hidden node and create a clickable path.
Similarly, this rule explains why you may occasionally see a node that appears to have only two visible connections. In such cases, the third connection is almost always hidden behind a fractured wall, leading to a hidden node.
The generator deliberately avoids creating nodes with exactly two connections, so a 2‑connection node is a strong indicator of a nearby hidden passage.

Suitable for Delve Builds
Deep Delves (especially those aiming for 6000 layers) are a highly expensive area; any build capable of handling this depth will inevitably be very costly.
Current popular ladder builds include Double Strike and Strength Stacking, while the newly introduced Scion Ascendancy: Luminary in Path of Exile 3.29 has also become a popular playstyle.
If you're just trying out Delve or have a limited budget, you don't need to pursue these extreme builds; many inexpensive builds can still reliably reach 1000-1500 levels.
However, if you're willing to explore deeper into Delve and gain more benefits in this endgame, you can buy PoE currency to create better builds to meet the challenges.
For novice players, Shield Crush Juggernaut is highly recommended, reportedly performing exceptionally well in Delve levels below 1000.
Other decent alternatives include Boneshatter Juggernaut and Forbidden Rite of Soul Sacrifice.
Exploring Delve is no easy challenge; the monster strength is among the highest in PoE, second only to certain Vaal Temple Maps. So keep strengthening your character, and the deeper Delve awaits your exploration!

PoE 3.29 Rogue Exiles Farming Guide: How Trarthan Scarabs Turn Mercenaries into a New Path to Mageblood?
In Path of Exile 3.29, Rogue Exiles have become a highly valuable farming target. By properly combining Trarthan Scarab, Rogue Exiles can generate a large number of Mercenaries, increasing their gear, currency, and Scarab drops, and even offering a chance to obtain Mageblood.
This strategy is particularly suitable for Luminary. Luminary allied mercenaries deal double damage to Rogue Exiles and mercenaries spawned by their mechanics, making them exceptionally efficient at clearing high densities of Rogue Exiles and Mercenaries. This allows for rapid map progression while maintaining overall loot.
Trarthan Scarab Configuration

This strategy requires three Trarthan Scarabs, all of which are essential:
Trarthan Scarab of Infamy
This ensures all Mercenaries on the map are Infamous versions, and the main mercenary carries two additional Wild Mercenaries. Infamous Mercenaries offer better Rucksack loot and are the sole source of Infamous modifier items.
Trarthan Scarab of Renown
This Scarab is crucial for farming high-value gear - it guarantees a chance to drop unique items upon each mercenary's death, including high-value belts like Mageblood and Headhunter.
Trarthan Scarab of Surprising Alliances ×2
It gives Wild Rogue Exiles in PoE maps a 50% chance to carry a Wild Mercenary. Combined with the Anarchy Scarab, which increases the number of Rogue Exiles, this results in an average of about 5 additional Wild Mercenaries per map.
The three Scarabs work together to form a complete farming chain:
Increase Rogue Exiles → Generate more Mercenaries → Equip Mercenaries with unique gear → Kill for high-value loot
Map Strategy: Boss Speedruns and Altar Replication
Map Selection
The core of this strategy is efficient map traversal; therefore, maps with simple structures, short routes, and easy-to-kill bosses should be prioritized. In the Path of Exile 3.29 speedrun gameplay, the map itself doesn't need to provide special benefits; the most important thing is to complete a map quickly, thereby increasing the number of Rogue Exiles and Mercenaries encountered per unit of time.

- Mesa: A top choice. The map structure is very simple, with the boss mostly located near the center. Short routes and high clearing efficiency make it ideal for strategies requiring repeated map runs.
- City Square: Its biggest advantage is the presence of three bosses, allowing for quick kills and rewards. The map's overall layout is also relatively compact, suitable for speed runs.
Dunes, Strand, Tropical Island, and Beach are also good options. If you are very familiar with a particular map and can consistently complete it quickly, then prioritize that map.
Note that Jungle Valley is not well-suited for this strategy. Using Templar Astrolabe requires killing the map boss to complete the objective, and the boss in Jungle Valley is far from the entrance, requiring extra time for map traversal.
Altar Selection: Prioritize Duplication
Searing Exarch altar is a significant profit amplifier for this strategy; prioritize duplication of loot.
- Uniques Duplication: Highest value; duplicating high-value equipment like Mageblood doubles the reward.
- Scarab Duplication: Consistently amplifies the rewards from high-value Scarabs.
- Currency Duplication: Rogue Exiles and Mercenaries drop a significant amount of raw Divine; duplication further increases rewards.
Mercenary Management
When encountering a Mercenary, first check their Rucksack for high-value items. If valuable, kill them to obtain their dropped equipment and PoE currency; otherwise, recruit them as temporary allies to assist in clearing the map.
Aim to complete each map within 2 minutes to maximize overall rewards through high map clearing efficiency.
Map Rolling and Difficulty Selection
The key to this playstyle is map modifiers. In Path of Exile, certain map modifiers directly enhance Rogue Exiles and Mercenaries, making them tankier, dealing more damage, and even capable of one-shotting characters.
Therefore, don't force yourself to challenge high-difficulty modifiers in pursuit of higher map rewards. Clearing maps quickly and safely is more important than maximizing rewards per map.
High-Risk Modifiers
- More Monster Life: Directly increases the health of Rogue Exiles and Mercenaries, making them extremely difficult to kill. Especially when multiple Life modifiers are stacked, clearing speed will significantly decrease.
- Critical Strike Chance / Critical Strike Damage: Extremely dangerous for characters with weak survivability. Mercenaries and Rogue Exiles already deal significant damage; stacking Critical Strike Chance modifiers can easily result in sudden, one-shot kills.
- Unique Monster Damage and Life: Also extremely dangerous, as Rogue Exiles and Mercenaries are unique monsters, these modifiers directly enhance both their health and damage.
If your character isn't tanky enough, when you see these modifiers, it's better to reroll the map than to force a challenge for a little more benefit.
Three Map Difficulties
Scour and Go
The safest option - roll the map to a clean slate, don't pursue extra affixes, and quickly clear the map. While the number and rarity of maps are relatively low, the core benefits of this strategy come from Mercenaries and Rogue Exiles. Some of the rewards they provide don't entirely depend on map rarity, so even plain maps still offer decent base rewards.
Alch and Go
A recommended compromise - use the Orb of Alchemy to unlock yellow map and start farming immediately, without spending a lot of time selecting affixes. The rewards are higher than plain maps, and the difficulty is usually acceptable, suitable for most established builds.
8-Mod Maps
A high-difficulty approach - 8-mod maps further increase map rewards, but also significantly increase monster strength. It's only worth using if your character can consistently handle high-damage, high-health Mercenaries and Rogue Exiles.
In general, this playstyle is characterized by a high skill ceiling and high volatility. Its true value lies in constantly finding rare and high-value mercenaries and equipment. Early on, some maps may have less than ideal rewards, but as you farm more maps, the chances of encountering top-tier mercenaries or rare drops will increase.

Path of Exile 3.30 Release Window & Major Endgame Overhaul Predictions | Don't Forget to Get Ready for the New ExileCon Qualifiers!
With the official launch date for Path of Exile 2 version 1.0 now confirmed, players who prefer PoE 1, or those interested in both titles, are likely wondering what Path of Exile 3.30 will entail and when it will arrive.
This anticipation stems not only from the excitement surrounding a new league but also from the significance of the number 30; such a milestone suggests that Path of Exile could introduce major changes, particularly regarding core gameplay and endgame mechanics.
In this article, we offer some preliminary speculation about PoE 3.30 based on available information and provide suggestions for planning your Path of Exile playtime during the second half of the year.

Speculating on the potential release date for PoE 3.30
Based on the league update frequency over the past year, and barring any unforeseen issues, 3.30 league would typically be expected to launch sometime in late November or early December.
However, given that Path of Exile 2 version 1.0 is scheduled for release on December 11, it is highly unlikely that the developers would schedule updates for both titles so close together, as this would risk unnecessarily splitting the player base. Consequently, a November launch seems more probable.
If you follow Path of Exile franchise, you likely know that ExileCon 2026 is scheduled for November 7-8; theoretically, 3.30 launch would avoid that week.
This opens up another possibility: a release in late October, specifically, the last week of October or the second-to-last weekend of the month.
However, a release during the final week of October carries risks. If PoE 3.30 launch encountered difficulties, the development team would be forced to juggle resolving those issues while simultaneously preparing for ExileCon, a scenario no one wants to see.
Taking all these factors into account, the most likely launch windows for PoE 3.30 are either the second-to-last weekend of October or the one-to-two-week period following ExileCon 2026.
Regardless of the specific timeframe, the fact that 3.30 is launching early suggests its scope will likely be scaled back; after all, the primary focus for the end of the year is undoubtedly the launch of Path of Exile 2 version 1.0.
What might 3.30 bring to the table?
Since the launch of 3.0.0 league in 2017, Path of Exile has consistently released new leagues under 3.x.0 versioning scheme.
While league durations have varied, the content structure has remained largely the same: a league-specific mechanic paired with adjustments to existing content (with the extent of these changes varying).
After nearly a decade of stable operation, and with Path of Exile 2 version 1.0 on the horizon, players are speculating: does this mean the original game is poised to transition into 4.0.0 era?
While the developers haven't issued any official statements or announcements regarding a 4.0 update, they have hinted at potential 3.30 content in various interviews, specifically plans for a comprehensive overhaul of the endgame.
More precisely, the goal is to revamp, as much as possible, the endgame mechanics introduced in previous leagues, injecting them with fresh life. As you've likely noticed, the current endgame gameplay has become somewhat stale.
For instance, you might have been using the same scarab combinations and farming strategies for years. Although updates over the past few years have nerfed builds or gameplay styles that were deemed overpowered, this has also led to a decline in the overall player experience.
Another specific adjustment targets the issue of tile loot, mechanics where a chest displays an icon for a specific item, allowing you to claim it with a single click.
These mechanics were originally designed to provide a guaranteed minimum return, ensuring you walked away with a certain amount of loot each time you engaged with them. However, they have arguably morphed into a primary source of loot rather than just a baseline safety net.
Consequently, the plan for Path of Exile 3.30 is to optimize these systems and return them to their original purpose.
In practice, this may mean reducing the amount of loot obtained directly from these tile systems in certain situations. However, this is expected to be balanced by an increase in loot drops from killing monsters.
What can you do in the meantime?
Regardless of the final release date, there are still at least two months to go before Path of Exile 3.30 arrives. So, rather than expending extra energy focusing on uncertain details, it is better to concentrate on the current 3.29 league.
It is worth noting that a limited-time event called Return of the Ancestors was held at the end of 3.28 league to keep the game fresh and engaging.
Given that the scope of 3.30 league might be reduced, a similar approach could be adopted as 3.29 league draws to a close, helping to prevent player attrition among those focused solely on Path of Exile 1.
Therefore, right now, you can complete remaining tasks and earn more PoE currency to refine your builds in PoE 3.29, while also preparing for potential limited-time events by looking at past examples like ROTA or the earlier Legacy of Phrecia.
PoE 1 ExileCon Qualifiers are starting soon!
To select players for the race finals at ExileCon 2026 in November, PoE 2 ExileCon qualifiers began on August 6th (held weekly), with the last round kicking off yesterday. Now, the schedule for PoE 1 qualifiers has also been confirmed!
Path of Exile 1 Qualifier 1 begins on September 3rd at 2:00 PM; subsequent rounds will follow every other week, concluding on September 24th (PDT):
- Qualifier 1: Sep 03, 2026 2:00 PM
- Qualifier 2: Sep 10, 2026 2:00 PM
- Qualifier 3: Sep 17, 2026 2:00 PM
- Qualifier 4: Sep 24, 2026 2:00 PM
Participation requirements and final rewards are expected to mirror those of PoE 2 qualifiers, though there is a difference regarding the platform: Path of Exile 1 is PC-only.
To take first place in any PoE 1 qualifier, you must create a brand-new character in SSF mode and race to complete Acts 1 through 5 as quickly as possible, aiming to be the first player to defeat Kitava in Act 5.

Even if you lack the time or confidence to compete yourself, don't forget to tune in to the live stream for the required duration to earn potential Twitch Drops rewards!
That covers everything for now. Hopefully, whether it's the highly anticipated PoE 2 1.0 launch or 3.30 league that long-time fans are keen on, both will deliver a satisfying experience!

Path of Exile 3.29 Best Meta Builds for Endgame | 6 Popular Meta Picks with Smooth Gameplay
Path of Exile 3.29 has been running for about a month now, so many players should have reached the endgame and accumulated enough currency to start building stronger characters.
In Curse of the Allflame League, several skills and mechanics received significant buffs, giving rise to a number of builds that are both powerful and fun to play. Let's take a look at some of the meta picks in this League.

Here are meta builds of PoE 3.29:
- Winter Orb Occultist
- Righteous Fire Chieftain
- Ethereal Knives Elementalist
- Raise Spectre Necromancer
- Animate Guardian Luminary
- Penance Brand Elementalist
Winter Orb Occultist
Winter Orb is the most widely used skill in PoE 3.29 endgame, with roughly one in ten players choosing it.
In PoE 3.29, Winter Orb received improvements to its Critical Strike Chance, damage, and projectile count, while also gaining an increased chance to Freeze. These changes have allowed the skill to make a strong comeback.
Winter Orb is a channeling skill that builds up stages while being channeled. The more stages you accumulate, the more Winter Orb projectiles it releases.
Afterward, you can move freely while maintaining the effect through modifiers such as Skill Effect Duration. The playstyle feels somewhat similar to Auto-Bomber or Herald builds, making it extremely smooth and satisfying to play.
Winter Orb Elementalist is a solid League starter build. It can use Elementalist's Golems to gain additional damage and defensive benefits, while nodes such as Mastermind of Discord can provide 25% Cold Penetration.
But if you are looking for higher endgame damage, Winter Orb Occultist is the better choice.
Its key Ascendancy notable, Forbidden Power, provides +1 to Maximum Power Charges and grants Area of Effect and damage based on your Power Charges. This means every Power Charge can increase both your damage and Area of Effect at the same time.
However, as the most popular build, it also has an obvious drawback. You will be competing with many other players for the same gear, so putting the build together may require a considerable amount of PoE currency.
The vast selection of cheap currency for sale at IGGM.com is exactly what you need. Not to mention, IGGM points system also provides you with additional ways to save money. All registered users can earn points by consistently checking in daily, which can be directly deducted from your orbs orders!
Righteous Fire Chieftain
Righteous Fire Chieftain is the second most widely used build in this League, and almost all players running it choose Chieftain Ascendancy.
Righteous Fire did not receive any buffs in Path of Exile 3.29, but it was already extremely popular in Mirage League. It is also easy to play and offers a smooth leveling experience, allowing you to start building around it during the campaign while remaining very strong in the endgame.
Righteous Fire's damage is based on your maximum Life, so the more Life you have, the more damage it deals. The skill continuously burns enemies around you, but you also take an equivalent amount of Fire damage yourself.
To sustain Righteous Fire, your Life Regeneration must be higher than the Life loss caused by the skill's burning effect.
Chieftain Ascendancy also allows you to stack Fire Resistance while simultaneously meeting your Cold and Lightning Resistance requirements.
More importantly, Hinekora, Death's Fury provides a powerful Explode effect on kill, allowing you to clear entire maps with very little active input.
Raise Spectre Necromancer
Raise Spectre Necromancer is the strongest summon build in PoE 3.29. Your army of minions automatically clears enemies for you, making this almost an AFK build.
Raise Spectre did not receive any major changes in this League, but its usage rate is not much different from the previous League, since many players simply love Pokémon-style gameplay.
Raise Spectre allows you to summon the souls of monsters from their corpses to fight for you. The type, level, and number of your Spectres directly determine your damage.
The maximum number of Spectres depends on your gem level. You can increase the number of Spectres through higher gem levels, item modifiers, and certain Unique items. In the late game, it is usually possible to have eight or more Spectres.
Forged Frostbearer, Primal Crushclaw, and Cloud Retch are all among the top-tier Spectres.
The reason for choosing Necromancer is also obvious. It has numerous nodes that enhance your minions, providing Spectres with high Elemental Resistances and Life to ensure they do not die easily. Once your Spectres reach level 90, their base survivability can also become extremely impressive.
Ethereal Knives Elementalist
Ethereal Knives received improvements to its projectile count and damage in PoE 3.29, but the most important change is arguably the increase in its base Critical Strike Chance from 6% to 10%.
With the higher base Critical Strike Chance, high-investment versions can more easily expand around mechanics such as Crit, Projectiles, Nimis, and Heralds.
Ethereal Knives is a Physical Spell that fires multiple daggers in a cone in front of you.
Through Elementalist Ascendancy and specific damage conversion mechanics, it can become a Fire or Cold damage skill capable of covering almost the entire screen instantly, while also using Ignite to deliver devastating damage.
This build requires a Nimis Topaz Ring, which causes projectiles to return. Since EK projectiles already have excellent coverage, every cast can easily wipe out large groups of enemies.
Animate Guardian Luminary

Luminary is a new Ascendancy in PoE 3.29, and all of its Ascendancy Notables are designed around empowering Mercenaries. In simple terms, you can choose to build an extremely powerful minion or a support character that provides powerful Auras.
Animate Guardian can summon a permanent guardian, equip it with the weapons and armor you specify, and provide powerful Aura, damage, or Curse effects.
You can use it to strengthen your Mercenary, and it can work together with another Aura-based Mercenary to provide you with a large number of buffs.
Penance Brand Elementalist
Penance Brand has a slightly higher usage rate than it did in Mirage League, but it did not actually receive many changes. Its popularity mainly comes from the build's strong overall performance.
After casting Penance Brand, the brand attaches itself to an enemy and periodically Activates. Each Activation adds one stack of Energy to the target, up to a maximum of 20 stacks. Once it reaches 20 stacks, the brand triggers a massive explosion.
Elementalist's Shaper of Flames notable allows damage of any type to Ignite. This means all of Penance Brand's damage can directly Ignite enemies, while also providing a huge 25% More Damage multiplier to Ignite damage.
These are some of the most widely used meta builds in Path of Exile 3.29. They are easy to play and offer solid damage, which is why so many players have chosen them. They are also highly reliable, although the required gear can still require a substantial amount of poe currency, so starting with a budget version is a good option.

PoE 3.29 Spectre Necromancer Build Guide: How Wretched Defiler Reaches Massive Lightning Damage with Doryani's Prototype?
In Path of Exile 3.29, a build centered around Necromancer, using Spectre as the primary damage source, and built around Doryani's Prototype, has become a popular choice for endgame play due to its extremely high damage and near-zero-skill map clearing experience. Below, I will break down the core mechanics, Spectre selection, equipment combinations, and practical operation of this Spectre Necromancer build.
Damage Core

The core equipment for this build is Doryani's Prototype. One of its mechanics is: Nearby Enemies have Lightning Resistance equal to yours. It also allows the character's armor to participate in lightning damage calculation. This leads to the core idea of the entire build:
Reduce your own lightning resistance to extremely low levels, even negative numbers. This causes nearby enemies to have the same low lightning resistance, thus multiplying the lightning damage dealt by the Spectre. This damage increase is particularly noticeable against high-resistance final bosses.
Of course, low lightning resistance also means the character faces a very high risk of death. Therefore, this build doesn't simply pursue negative resistance; it also utilizes other defensive systems in PoE, such as armor, fire resistance, energy shields, and spell suppression, to mitigate the risks associated with negative lightning resistance.
Spectre Selection
The core damage-dealing Spectre in this build is Wretched Defiler. This is a spider-like monster that casts a spell called Lightning Spiral Barrage, launching multiple projectiles with a spiral trajectory. Its base damage is extremely high, and it has a far-shot characteristic - damage increases with distance.
We need to summon 10 Wretched Defilers as the main damage dealer. In addition, one Perfect Spirit of Fortune is needed as support - it can cast Wrath aura, increasing the lightning damage of nearby allies.
Equipment Selection and Affix Priority
Armor: Doryani's Prototype

As mentioned above, this is the core of the entire build. Prioritize versions with high armor and high ES. If you have sufficient PoE currency, you can further seek out versions with the desired corrupted implicit to obtain the +2 to Level of Socketed Minion Skill Gems affix, further increasing the damage of Wretched Defiler.
Weapons: 2 × Convoking Wand
Both Convoking Wands should ideally have the following 4 core T1 modifiers:
- +1 to Level of all Spell Skill Gems
- +1 to Level of all Minion Skill Gems
- Minions deal 100% increased Damage
- Minions have 25% increased Attack Speed
And at least one Convoking Wand must have Minions are Aggressive. This modifier is especially important for any Spectre-centric playstyle in Path of Exile, allowing minions to actively seek out and pursue enemies, significantly improving map clearing efficiency and gameplay feel.
Helmet: Bone Circlet
The core target affix for the helmet is +2 to Level of all Minion Skill Gems, prioritizing a base with high ES.
If budget allows, further look for a version with +2 to Level of Socketed Minion Skill Gems Corrupted Implicit for even higher Minion Gem levels.
Amulet: Rhex Talisman
Choose Rhex Talisman amulet with the effect of 100% Cold and Lightning Damage from Hits taken as Fire Damage.
This effect needs to be used in conjunction with a defense system of 90% maximum fire resistance: cold/lightning damage from hits is converted into fire damage and then reduced according to your maximum fire resistance, greatly increasing your survivability against both types of elemental hit damage.
In addition, Rhex Talisman should ideally possess the following effects:
- +1 to Level of all Skill Gems
- High Energy Shield
Belt: Mageblood
Mageblood is one of the core pieces of this defensive system. It allows the effects of up to 4 magic utility flasks to remain active as long as flask charges are no longer consumed, thus maintaining the defensive attributes provided by flasks such as Ruby Flask, Granite Flask, and Jade Flask for an extended period.
Ruby Flask, combined with high maximum fire resistance, is a key component of this defensive system, further enhancing the damage conversion mechanism provided by Rhex Talisman.
Rings: 2 × Bone Rings
Both Bone Rings should prioritize the following modifiers:
- Minions deal 65% increased Damage
- Minions have increased Attack and Cast Speed
- Lowest Lightning Resistance possible, negative values are ideal
Gameplay Guide
Daily Farming
Simply run around, and Spectre will automatically attack all enemies within range. Due to Minions are Aggressive affix on weapons, they will actively pursue distant monsters. You can even completely avoid using your left hand - enemies will die without you needing to press any skills.
Boss Fights
To maximize damage, you can use Desecrate to generate a corpse in the boss area, then use Flesh Offering to consume the corpse to provide the Spectre with attack, casting, and movement speed buffs, and finally cast Punishment on the boss.
Overall, this Spectre Necromancer build utilizes Doryani's Prototype to convert the character's low lighting resistance into extremely high damage output. Combined with core gear such as Wretched Defiler, Rhex Talisman, and Mageblood, it strikes a balance between high DPS, strong survivability, and a low skill ceiling. While the gear requires some investment, it's definitely a good choice for POE players who want high damage, low skill requirements, and a comfortable map clearing experience.
