New Contents In FFXIV 5.3
Posted: Aug 05, 2020 Views: 2183
In the last FFXIV Live Letter, the Final Fantasy XIV team revealed the first part of the 5.3 content. The update includes YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse 2, the rework of A Realm Reborn quests, the upgrade of relic weapons, the update to gatherers and crafters, and more.
1.YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse 2-Nier Automata Raid
The second chapter of the raid is coming and is called The Puppets' Bunker. Yoshi-P revealed some areas of the instance.
2. A Realm Reborn Rework and Crafters/Gathers Update
An update is planned for A Realm Reborn quests and story to make it easier for new players to get the latest content. The ARR story contains long tasks that players think are unnecessary. The developer announced that 13% of them have been deleted, other quests have been shortened, and more equipment has been provided to simplify the process. Gatherers and Crafters will also receive an update with quality of life changes: they can try a process without materials, or find a recipe by using materials in your inventory.
1.Resistance Weapons Relics update
To upgrade your new relic, you will need to unlock the quest in The Bozjan Southern Front. Then you will be able to unlock and farm items to upgrade your relic. Yoshi-P also confirmed that this has nothing to do with Poetics. Some items can be obtained inside the Pozjan Southern Front, and some are outside.
4. The Bozjan Southern Front
Players will be able to enter a 72-player instance Pozjan Southern Front. In this instance, they will be able to focus on the main story or additional challenges to upgrade their new Save the Queen weapon. This will not be an easy task. If you want to complete these challenges easily, the best way is to go to IGGM to buy FFXIV Gil, which can help you solve your difficulties.
1.Reflections in Crystal, the end of Shadowbringers story
This story will require you to complete the crystal tower and "My Little Chocobo" quests, developers suggest that players complete these quests before the update.
6. New Beast Tribe
The Dwarves join the list of beast tribes, and you will be able to work with them. When the last tribe focuses on gatherers, the Dwarves will focus on crafters. The location of the tribe will be located where you will find the dwarves in 5.2. More information will appear in the next Live Letter.
Of course, if you don't want to spend time on some simple and boring quests, but want to spend time on experiencing new content, going to IGGM to buy FFXIV Gil is a good choice. And the price of the products in IGGM will be lower than the price in the market, for you, it is definitely a worthwhile thing. And they will provide the best service and the most secure online payment system.

FFXIV Occult Crescent And Job Adjustments In Patch 7.25: What You Should Know?
It has been more than two months since the release of patch 7.2. Just when you thought FF14 would have to wait until the summer to have new operations, patch 7.25 suddenly landed in the game on May 27!
Compared with large updates, 7.25 does not add a lot of new content, but it still provides you with a fresher gaming experience, and also adds a new chapter to the previously popular Hildibrand Adventures quest chain. In addition, various jobs in different modes have been adjusted.
Based on this, we will mainly introduce you to the job adjustments and how to complete the most important field operation Occult Crescent.
What Is Occult Crescent?
As the latest added field operation, you can think of Occult Crescent as an independent new copy. It has its own map, mechanism, and built-in tasks. It not only helps you find relic weapons, but also provides the new ways to obtain FFXIV Gil.
How To Unlock It?
First you must complete all the main quests of Dawntrail expansion and get at least one combat job that reaches level 100. Then go to Tuliyollal to find Expedition Messenger, start and gradually advance the quest One Last Hurrah, and you can enter Occult Crescent.
How To Play?
The special thing about this operation is that when you fight in it, your strength depends on the new knowledge level, not the original character job level. In addition, Occult Crescent allows you to get Occult Crescent-limited jobs (some of which can be unlocked directly) through local shops or combat drops to utilize additional skills.
Based on this, you need to first complete ordinary tasks with the help of special jobs such as Phantom Bard or Phantom Knight, or find survey points, to get your knowledge level to 20, and then form a team to enter the ultimate 48-player dungeon The Forked Tower.
The above is the main gameplay idea, but in fact there are many more specific details that you need to understand during the entire adventure, such as:
- When you die in battle and choose to revive at the base, you will lose knowledge XP or level. But if other players resurrect you, you can avoid this loss.
- Occult Crescent map does not allow you to fly, but you can ride a mount.
- Sometimes critical encounters will appear on the map, which will bring powerful enemies and difficult battles.
In general, you need to complete FATEs and critical encounters before entering The Forked Tower to increase your knowledge level as much as possible and earn more limited currency to redeem other special rewards.
Reliable Game Tips
After understanding how Occult Crescent works, in order to fully utilize it, you also need to know more tips that can improve the efficiency of completing this field operation:
- Occult Crescent is different from previous field operations. It allows you to unlock Ethernet teleport points freely without being restricted by your task progress or level. In this way, you can enter critical encounters faster through teleport points.
- The opening of critical encounters requires you to go to the area marked with a blue FATE challenge icon in time and wait in the huge circle or square on the ground, otherwise the battle cannot start normally.
- The efficiency of teamwork is higher than fighting alone. If you don’t have a suitable teammate, send “lfg” in the chat room to receive an invitation.
- If you encounter a high-level enemy at a low level, try to hide yourself out of their field of vision to avoid being discovered and causing a fight.
- Learn to utilize your Phantom job and other useful exclusive tools.
- Most battles have similar patterns, so try to memorize them as you level up.
What Changes Have Been Made To Each Job?
Patch 7.25 makes different changes to each job based on PVE and PVP modes. In PVE, the damage output of some jobs has been increased, and the negative effects that some enemies can apply to have been reduced or eliminated, mainly based on the difficulty of AAC Cruiserweight M2 (Savage) phase.
In PVP mode, the following adjustments are mainly made to enhance the playability of team battles and try to make unpopular jobs have a chance to play.
- Warrior: Make PVP performance of this job more stable by adjusting Fell Cleave and Thrill of Battle.
- Dark Knight: Enhanced Eventide.
- Gunbreaker: Reduced Fated Brand’s power to maintain balance.
- Monk: A series of incremental adjustments.
- Samurai: Increased barrier strength for Ogi Namikiri and Kaeshi: Namikiri.
- Reaper: Improved Communio and Perfectio.
- Viper: Made it easier for Uncoiled Fury to kill enemies.
- Bard: Improved Warden’s Paean and Harmonic Arrow, and reduced the cooldown of Repelling Shot.
- Machinist: Increased the duration of Bioblaster and the power of Aether Mortar.
- Dancer: Improved Starfall Dance, Saber Dance, and Dance of the Dawn.
- Black Mage: Increased the number of stackable Soul Resonances, and improved Flare Star and Frost Star.
- Summoner: Improved the barrier effect of Radiant Aegis.
- Pictomancer: Reduced the recast time of each action and enhanced Mog of the Ages and Retribution of the Madeen.
- White Mage: Reduced the amount of damage absorbed by Seraph Strike Protect to maintain the balance between healing jobs.
- Sage: Increased DOT effect of Lype.
The above is part of the patch 7.25 content introduced to you this time. It would be great if it can help your FFXIV experience!

FFXIV 9 Multi-Faceted Pros: Why The Game Can Still Attract New Players In 2025?
There is no doubt that for any game to gain a foothold in the market at the beginning, rich and interesting gameplay and game content are absolutely the top priority. After all, this is the core of the game. But as time goes by, whether it can retain players sometimes depends on factors other than gameplay.
Compared with those more hardcore MMORPGs, Final Fantasy 14 has always seemed to give you a more relaxed and fashionable impression, and in fact it is true - the combination of Western fantasy style and Japanese romance makes it very popular among casual MMORPG players.
Based on this feature, although there is a voice in the game community that FF14 lacks novelty in game combat, it is still worth playing in general, and it has been attracting new players since its launch in 2013. Next, we will introduce you to the 9 reasons why FFXIV can do this.
1. Classic Final Fantasy Elements
As you know, Final Fantasy is a huge game series, and 16 game products have been released since 1987. Although each game has a different setting, plot, and main characters, there are always several common mechanisms or characters that appear repeatedly.
Therefore, if you are a fan of the entire series or you have played other famous Final Fantasy games (such as FFVII), you will feel a special sense of nostalgia through these common elements when playing Final Fantasy XIV, which is not available in all MMORPGs.
2. Friendly Player Community
When you are new to FF14, in addition to looking for guides on IGGM or other websites, you can also solve confusion by asking questions in the player community. In fact, for various reasons, a few game communities may not have anyone to answer your questions regularly.
But fortunately, the community atmosphere of FF14 is very friendly. Whether it is a common sense question like how to farm FFXIV Gil, or how to participate in the latest events, there will be someone patiently answering you.
In addition, one of the main features of FFXIV is that you and your friends’ characters pose in various beautiful game scenes and then take screenshots, so you will see a lot of interesting screenshots shared and commented in the community.
3. Good At Reusing Old Areas
Because of the characteristics of MMORPG, you will find that such games will regularly launch new areas on the map. Although this does give you a sense of freshness, too many new areas will cause old areas to be neglected from another perspective - this does not increase the number of areas to experience.
In this regard, Final Fantasy 14 will often supplement the plot by reusing old areas, so that you will return to familiar areas in new events because of the need to advance the plot, so as not to let them be forgotten by you.
4. Excellent Dungeon Mechanism
Honestly, repeatedly farming dungeons is a boring job in any MMORPG, and sometimes you need to wait a long time to match the right teammates in order to complete the team, and it is annoying that you have to do this in order to collect loot.
But in FF14, the game solves the problem of team matching by allowing high-level players to get more rewards in low-level dungeons. And during and after completing the dungeon, you can also chat with teammates on the channel for extra social fun!
5. Charming Music
Although music is not a key game element, its excellence will make the entire game more attractive, which is why some game evaluations will set up music-related awards to encourage companies to make better soundtracks for games.
FFXIV will not only match different background music according to the changes in the game scenes, but also mix elements of previous FF works in the music (which echoes the first point we mentioned). In addition, the game will also regularly release new theme songs, such as “Give It All” last summer.
6. High Degree Of Freedom Class Experience
When you choose your start class in a MMORPG, you must be very careful, because the class determines your subsequent experience and it is difficult to change unless you create a new character. But FF14 allows you to switch the main combat class at any time, and you can feel the combat characteristics of different classes at any time.
7. Realistic Race Design
In addition to class, you can also choose the race for your character in Final Fantasy XIV, and all the main characters or plot NPCs in the game also have their own race. Different races have their own unique personalities and appearances, and you will find that NPCs you meet also meet these characteristics - this is enough to show that the character design of the game is excellent enough.
8. Unique Japanese Humor
Although the background settings of FFXIV sometimes do not completely match the nationality of the relevant companies, the development team’s inadvertent Japanese humor will be revealed in various details. If you are a foreign player, you may not understand it sometimes, however, it is indeed one characteristic of the game.
9. Always Committed To Launching New Content
Introducing new content through regular updates is the main way to keep the game alive, otherwise it may gradually fade after the initial craze. Based on this, Final Fantasy 14 has been online for more than ten years, and it still guarantees to launch high-quality content and new DLC from time to time to give back to your support.
I believe that the above 9 advantages are enough for you to feel the characteristics and charm of FF14, and in the rest of 2025, I believe that the game should also be able to develop better with these advantages!

FFXIV Custom Deliveries Quests: How To Complete Them?
As you explore Final Fantasy XIV, you can fully experience the fun of crafting materials or tools and gathering in a variety of different ways, and the most important thing is that these labors can bring you very rich rewards.
As FF14 adds more content to all the crafters in the explorable Eorzea in the game, some quest lines with their own characteristics stand out. The most representative of these is Custom Deliveries, and it is also one of the most popular leveling quests in the current game, because players don’t have to struggle for hours on farming and grinding systems.
However, it is worth mentioning that these Custom Deliveries quests in FFXIV are not easy to find, and the methods of completing them are not very simple. So you may need this guide to provide you with an introduction to the current Custom Deliveries quests in FF14 and some precautions in the process of completing the challenges.
What Are Custom Deliveries Quests?
Custom Deliveries are special quest lines led by specific NPCs in each expansion of the Final Fantasy series of games. In them, you mainly focus on crafting and gathering, and ultimately bring yourself a lot of benefits.
Not only will you get a lot of leveling experience and crafting or gathering Scrips for your chosen craftsman or gatherer, you will also be rewarded with a variety of tempting material rewards for your hard work, including a lot of FFXIV Gil, some rare mounts, and glamours.
These quest lines generally require you to collect enough different collectibles requested by NPC customers within a week, so as long as you choose any eligible Job and meet the minimum level requirements of each task, you can complete these crafting or gathering tasks.
The collectibles you have to collect here are a unique type of item in the game. It has its own set of procurement systems, so you may use some special abilities that can only be unlocked by specific tasks during the search process to improve the quality of the items as much as possible. The higher the quality, the richer the reward you will get in the end.
This special ability to improve the quality of items requires you to complete a Level 50 quest called Inscrutable Tastes, which you can get from Morgayne in Ishgard's Foundation (X:10.1, Y:10.4). This NPC will also guide you through other quests, some of which will allow you to unlock Scrip Exchange points in later expansions.
In addition, you will need to complete these quests to unlock access to these Custom Deliveries in the current Dawntrail, provided that you have unlocked the special collectible inventory in the game. Below are the names of the quests you need to complete and these NPCs who deliver them to you and their locations.
- Inscrutable Tastes: Morgayne (X:10.1, Y:10.4)
- No Longer a Collectable: Lydirlona (X:22.3, Y:6.8)
- Go West, Craftsman: Lydirlona (X:22.3, Y:6.8)
- Reach Long and Prosper: Galiena (X:9.8, Y:12.5)
- The Boutique Always Winds: Mowen (X:11.4, Y:10.7)
- Expanding House of Splendors: Ofpilona (X:11.7, Y:9.6)
- Dawn of a New Deal: Rhodina (X:9.2, Y:13.4)
Note that the items these NPC clients ask for are different every week, and the specific types will also change depending on Job. But the more items you bring them, the more your reputation with them will increase through the Satisfaction Gauge. When this gauge reaches a certain level, your trust in them will go up a level, and there will be more opportunities for them to provide you with better rewards.
When your satisfaction gauge reaches the top, you will usually get some generous rewards, such as a mount or a complete set of gorgeous clothes, which will increase your character’s charm in FFXIV and make you stand out from the crowd of players because it means that you have received super high praise.
Custom Deliveries Clients
After the release of Patch 7.2 for FFXIV Dawntrail at the end of March, there are currently 11 different Custom Deliveries clients available for you to unlock and use, covering most of the game’s current expansions from Heavensward to Dawntrail.
So before you complete these quests, make sure your character is at the corresponding level and all gear has a lot of FFXIV Gil invested in it to ensure that you can complete all the quests well.
In addition, these quests differ from Allied Society questlines that cover all job types in the game. They are only available to crafters and gatherers. Below are the names of all Custom Deliveries clients you will encounter and the tasks they exist for.
- Zhloe Aliapoh: You will receive Arms Wide Open quest with a minimum level requirement of 55 from Idyllshire (X:5.8, Y:7.0).

The above is an overview of the current Custom Deliveries missions in Final Fantasy XIV and a guide to the locations of the customers. Hopefully, with the help of this guide, you can find these Custom Deliveries customers more quickly and help them complete the crafting or collection of specified items, so that you can get a lot of valuable rewards from them as soon as possible. I wish you a happy game!

FFXIV Howling Blade Of AAC Cruiserweight M4: How To Complete This Final Raid?
Not long ago, Final Fantasy 14 released the latest patch 7.2 on March 25, bringing a series of new content, such as New raid, dungeon, trials, & PVP updates. Among them, the most attractive and rewarding one should be the level 100 raid AAC Cruiserweight M4.
AAC Cruiserweight M4 will first be launched in normal difficulty, and will open Savage difficulty for you to experience a week after the release. If you want to take this opportunity to earn more FFXIV Gil and your character is strong enough, don’t miss this opportunity!
More specifically, AAC Cruiserweight M4 is actually a raid series, which contains 4 specific bosses, namely Dancing Green, Sugar Riot, Brute Abominator, and Howling Blade. In this order, later the boss, the higher the difficulty, and the final challenge, Howling Blade, is obviously the most difficult. So ensuring you can complete the entire AAC Cruiserweight M4 successfully, we will bring you a guide to Howling Blade raid.
Howling Blade Overview
This raid consists of 3 phases: phase 1 phase 2 and the additional phases in between. When the fight begins, the boss will cover the right edge of the arena with an AOE effect, and if you step into it, you will suffer bleeding damage. Therefore, you must try to avoid this area while avoiding the boss’s attacks throughout the fight.
Boss Skills In Phase 1
To successfully avoid or deal with the boss’s skills, you need to know what skills he has and how they work. Here are the specific functions of each boss skill in phase 1:
1. Extraplanar Pursuit
As a full coverage AOE skill, Extraplanar Pursuit will damage your entire raid team, and can only be healed by your healing skills that also have the AOE effect.
2. Great Divide
This skill allows the boss to target one of your team’s tanks with a line stacking marker and output damage, so it is recommended that the two tanks in your team are as close as possible to share the damage, or use defensive cooldowns to reduce the damage. In addition, non-tank teammates should avoid getting close to or hiding behind tanks when facing Great Divide.
3. Wolves’ Reign
This skill causes the boss Howling Blade to release an AOE combo after completing the cast. First, four circular AOEs will appear around the arena, and the boss will rush to one of them, then continue to rush across the arena to the other side, causing linear AOE damage to you, and then release a cone AOE from the new position. To avoid this attack, you need to first move to the other end of the boss’s sprint direction, and then move slightly to the side to avoid the upcoming linear AOE and cone AOE.
4. Heavensearth
This is a boss skill that deals with damage by stacking markers that target random players in your group. You and your teammates just need to gather together to spread the damage.
5. Beckon Moonlight
After using this skill, the boss will summon four Moonlit Shadow clones that appear in sequence around the arena. They will then rush across the arena and damage half of the arena according to the direction of their swords and the order in which they appear. To avoid them, you must examine their order and the direction of their swords.
6. Shadowchase
Summon five clones near the center of the arena. Each clone will move forward and cast a straight line AOE. Fortunately, there is a corresponding safe area behind each clone. Move there to avoid their attacks.
7. Bare Fangs
After casting this skill, Howling Blade will summon its glowing fang fragments in the arena, and they will attack you in a straight line AOE in pairs. To avoid them, be sure to carefully observe the timing and order of each fang.
8. Terrastrial Rage
While using Bare Fangs, Howling Blade will continue to perform Terrastrial Rage to create a circular AOE around the arena, after which the boss will use Heavensearth again and summon Wolf of Stone and Wolf of Wind via Tactical Pack.
Add Phase
During this phase, the boss will become invincible, and his Saber Intensity gauge will increase over time, and during this phase, the previously summoned Wolf of Stone and Wolf of Wind will cast Weal of Stone and Weal of Wind on you, damaging you and your party in a straight line in front of them.
Once the wolf is defeated, the boss will continue to cast Ravenous Saber, dealing varying amounts of damage to you based on Saber Intensity gauge. To avoid fatal damage, it is recommended that you defeat the wolf before this gauge reaches maximum, and the battle will then enter the second phase.
Phase 2
Once this phase begins, a notification will be posted indicating that the boss’s attacks will appear more frequently, hit harder, and will also have some new abilities added, including:
- Wolves’ Reign
- Terrastrial Titans
- Shadowchase
- Tracking Tremors
- Beckon Moonlight
In addition, the barrier that previously protected you from falling from the arena has disappeared, so you must not only be careful to avoid the enemy’s AOE attacks, but also be careful not to fall out of the arena. Howling Blade will then repeat these attacks and mechanics until defeated, and then you can get various loot, including FF14 Gil.
The above are some precautions for dealing with Howling Blade. I hope it can help you complete all AAC Cruiserweight M4 raids as soon as possible! Good luck!

FFXIV New Patch 7.2: What New Content Will You Experience In This Large Patch? - In-Game & Quality Of Life Changes
Since Final Fantasy 14 launched its own Dawntrail expansion last summer, players’ opinions and comments on it have been in an unstable state: at first, the content in the new expansion brought a lot of freshness to the players, but since late July, players have begun to be dissatisfied with the speed of introducing new content, and feel that it can’t keep up with the speed of players’ exploration.
But in the spring of 2025, this situation will improve, because on March 25th FFXIV will launch its own Patch 7.2, called Seekers of Eternity, which will bring a lot of new content and game improvements to players, such as new dungeons, trials, major updates to PVP, and large-scale new exploration content.
From a lot of information leaked so far, it can be seen that Seekers of Eternity strives to provide some new playable content for players with different play styles. This guide will introduce you to what new game content you will experience in the upcoming Patch 7.2 based on some information released by Square Enix and leaked by the player community.
In-Game
Like previous major patches for FF14, Patch 7.2 will continue the game’s main story quests and expand on some of the events introduced in the previous Dawntrail. The most exciting thing for players may be the addition of a new dungeon, The Underkeep, and some new mechanics and challenges will also be added to the game with the addition of this new dungeon.
In addition, the new Trial Recollection will provide players with two difficulties, Normal and Extreme, giving high-level players another opportunity to test their characters’ abilities against powerful enemies. Similarly, the most proud raid content in Final Fantasy 14 has also received a major expansion: The Arcadion - Cruiserweight has been added.
This new raid series will be launched first in Normal difficulty and is expected to be opened to Savage difficulty for players with higher abilities a week later. You can expect to experience very complex combat mechanics and some high-intensity combat in it, as the setting of this raid is one of the most difficult content in the game so far.
It is also worth noting that Hells’ Kier (Suzaku) will return to the game as Unreal Trial, which may bring a nostalgic but very fresh gaming experience and challenge to some old players.
The Occult Crescent, a new wild exploration area expected to be added in Patch 7.25 on May 27, has aroused great interest from players. The design of this large multiplayer game mode is actually very similar to Eureka and Bozja in Dawntrail. It will take players to a mysterious island in the Shades Triangle and provide some large-scale boss stations, a raid content with up to 48 players to explore in a group, and a progression system that encourages exploration.
Players will increase their Knowledge Level in The Occult Crescent so that they can challenge more difficult content. However, it must be mentioned that this operation is somewhat risky, because at higher Knowledge Levels, once you experience death in it and are not resurrected by other players in time, the experience points and FFXIV Gil you earn in it will be lost.
If you use Phantom Job system, you will use exclusive and unique job abilities in this explorable area. At the beginning of exploration, only Freelancer jobs are available, but as you explore in it, you can unlock more Phantom Jobs, such as Geomancer, Ranger, Time Mage, Berserker, and Cannoneer.
Compared to The Occult Crescent, Cosmic Exploration may be launched earlier, expected in Patch 7.21 on April 22, and it introduces a new mode designed for in-game crafters and gatherers. This new cooperative activity will allow players to develop new planets over time: you need to start by building a base, and then expand the entire planet under the progress of tasks and time.
Note that the progress of each server is unique and also provides players with single-player and team activities. At the same time, some special rewards, Star Contributor system, and a large amount of FFXIV Gil will also be added to increase your interest in this new mode. This is very beneficial for players who like to craft in the game and strive to get all the collectibles.
Quality Of Life Changes
Not only has Patch 7.2 changed the content available to players, but the quality of life provided to players has also undergone some changes, such as the ability to sort food, potions, and sprints by players, so as to facilitate a more seamless and smooth gaming experience.
A new fuel color, Metallic Cobalt Green, has also been added, as well as a new set of crafting gear to facilitate the smooth implementation of Cosmic Exploration. In addition, Duty Support system will also include The Sunken Temple of Qarn, making it easier for single players to experience this interesting dungeon with NPC allies.
In terms of combat, some melee DPS jobs will receive some damage buffs, but Dawntrail’s newly introduced Job Pictomancer will receive some nerfs to ensure the balance of the entire game. For PVP, Series 8 will take over from the soon-to-be-ended Series 7, so players may need to claim any remaining rewards in Series 7 before the official release of the patch on March 25.
With the current release of Final Fantasy 14’s Patch 7.2 and subsequent minor patches, Square Enix has begun to listen to players and maintain a steady update cadence in order to rekindle player interest in the game.
But whether these new additions can maintain player engagement is still worth thinking about. Regardless, with the next chapter of Dawntrail and this new patch, players will have a lot to look forward to. I wish you a happy gaming!
