WoW TBC Classic Anniversary All Faction Reputation Guide | Why Smart Players Ignore Half the Quests?

WoW TBC anniversary event will officially launch on February 5th, with millions of players competing to level up and acquire gear, preparing for the raids opening on February 19th.
The most effective method for this is building reputation with major factions. This will help you obtain high-level gear, dungeon keys, and rare mounts.

Reputation Mechanism
Upon entering Outland, you can increase your faction reputation by completing quests or running dungeons. However, a key mechanic to note is the cap on reputation gained from running low-level dungeons.
For example, running low-level dungeons will only raise your reputation to Honored or close to Honored. Once you reach this cap, you'll need to switch to quests to continue gaining reputation, as quests can raise your reputation all the way to Exalted. However, there aren't enough quests in the game to directly reach Exalted.
Therefore, you'll eventually need to grind dungeons to gain reputation. If you lack WoW TBC Classic Anniversary gold, you can choose to grind dungeons until you reach the level cap, as completing quests at the level cap will reward a large amount of extra gold.
Once you reach Revered, you can trade Heroic Mode dungeon keys from Quartermasters of each faction. Heroic dungeons drop better loot, provide more reputation, and reward currency used to trade for Epic gear.
While Heroic dungeons offer more reputation, you can actually reach Exalted by grinding Normal dungeons, provided you grind higher-level dungeons. This way, you can even completely skip the quest phase and focus solely on dungeon grinding.
Honor Hold (Alliance) / Thrallmar (Horde)
- Location: Hellfire Peninsula
First, you can farm Hellfire Ramparts and Blood Furnace until you reach Revered.
The final boss of Hellfire Ramparts drops a quest item that unlocks a quest. It's recommended not to turn in the quest immediately, as the reputation gained is more valuable once you reach Revered. Wait until you're close to Revered before turning it in. This quest will also lead to a follow-up quest in Blood Furnace, rewarding even more reputation and a Rare piece of gear.
Then, participate in Hellfire Peninsula open-world PvP events. There's a daily quest that requires capturing three towers. Killing enemy players in PvP will earn you Marks of Honor Hold or Marks of Thrallmar. These marks can be exchanged for Medallions, which increase reputation and experience gain. It's recommended to save these medallions for high-level dungeons.
After reaching Revered reputation, you'll need to farm Shattered Halls, which is the fastest way to reach Exalted reputation.
Cenario Expedition
- Location: Zangarmarsh
First, you can turn in Unidentified Plant Parts. These items drop from many creatures in Zangarmarsh and are not Bind on Equip, so you can trade them directly from the auction house.
Through the repeatable quest, Identify Plant Parts, you can quickly reach Revered reputation. The first quest grants experience, subsequent quests only reward reputation. You can choose to do the quest in Zangarmarsh or wait until around level 67 to start farming in Steamvault dungeon.
Monsters in Steamvault have a chance to drop a quest item and unlock a quest. Completing this quest will unlock a repeatable quest, Preparing for War, in the same location within the dungeon, which requires turning in Coilfang Armaments.
Coilfang Armaments can be obtained in Steamvault or traded on the auction house. Each turn-in grants approximately 75 reputation points, and can be repeated until Exalted.
Lower City
- Location: Shattrath City
In Shattrath City, you can pick up a repeatable quest that requires turning in 30 Arakkoa Feathers. Feathers drop from Arakkoa monsters in Terokkar Forest or can be traded at the auction house. This method only reaches Revered reputation and may require a significant amount of gold.
Afterward, you can find quests at your respective faction bases in Terokkar Forest and in Bone Wastes area, many of which reward Lower City reputation.
If you want to farm dungeons, you can choose Auchenai Crypts (maximum Revered reputation), Sethekk Halls, and Shadow Labyrinth.
Before entering Sethekk Halls, remember to accept the prerequisite quest in Shattrath City. Two NPCs at the dungeon entrance also offer additional dungeon quests.
There's a Quest Giver at the entrance to Sethekk Halls dungeon with generous rewards. More importantly, the chest opened after defeating the final boss contains Shadow Labyrinth Key, or you can find teammates with the key.
While farming these dungeons, you can start the first key fragment for Karazhan Attunement quest.
Aldor / Scryers
- Location: Shattrath City
These two factions are opposing; you can only choose one, and you cannot gain reputation with them directly by farming dungeon monsters.
However, after level 67, there are numerous quests in Area 52 of Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley that reward the corresponding reputation. If you have enough gold, you can also take a shortcut:
- Scryers: Turn in Arcane Tomes.
- Aldor: Turn in Fel Armaments.
These items are tradable on the auction house, costing approximately 375 reputation points per turn, allowing you to quickly reach Exalted. Fel Armaments also have a chance to drop from demons while farming in Shadow Labyrinth, and can be used to increase Aldor reputation or traded with others for Arcane Tomes.
Kurenai (Alliance) / Mag'har (Horde)
- Location: Nagrand
Primarily, reputation is gained by completing quests at your respective faction's camps in Nagrand. You can kill specific hostile faction creatures in this area; each kill grants reputation and has a chance to drop Obsidian Warbeads, which you can repeatedly turn in for additional reputation. The fastest method is to group up and farm these creatures while simultaneously turning in Obsidian Warbeads.
Keepers of Time
- Location: Caverns of Time
Reputation for this faction can only be gained by completing Caverns of Time quests. Time is obtained through quests within the two dungeons and by repeatedly running those dungeons. It's also a key part of completing Karazhan attunement questline.
Violet Eye
- Related Content: Karazhan Raiders
This faction reputation is primarily gained by killing bosses and monsters in Karazhan. You can group up and skip killing bosses, simply clearing the regular mobs near the raid entrance repeatedly, then resetting the dungeon.
Sha'tar
- Location: Shattrath City (Central)
Turning in Arcane Tomes or Fel Armaments will simultaneously increase your Sha'tar reputation slightly, up to Revered. You will also receive Sha'tar reputation rewards when doing faction reputation quests in Shadowmoon Valley and Netherstorm. The primary method is to run the three dungeons in Netherstorm: Botanica, Mechanar, and Arcatraz.
Consortium
- Location: Stormspire
The reputation can be raised to Revered by farming Mana-Tombs (located in Terokkar Forest). After reaching Revered, further increases are needed through quests or running Heroic Mana-Tombs.
Sporregar
- Location: Zangarmarsh
Sporregar reputation is primarily gained by completing quests in Sporeggar Village and defeating specific Bog Lords and Marsh Lurkers throughout Zangarmarsh.
Many quest items can be traded on Auction House. By repeatedly turning in quest items, you can quickly reach Exalted reputation.
There are many reputation factions in WoW TBC anniversary event. Unless the rewards include items you want to continue with, it's recommended to raise your reputation slowly and patiently.
