From this, we infer that Selena 2 is very likely a hero centred around Tangle – she might cast various entanglement spells around enemies through her dance moves, thereby activating and strengthening the entire Tangle build. Of course, all this remains conjecture, and the specifics await official confirmation.
How to Get Dance of the Deep Selena?
In Torchlight Infinite, new heroes are not free. A brand-new character introduced at the start of a season usually requires Season Pass to unlock immediately, but in later seasons they rotate into the free unlock pool.
If you do not wish to unlock Season Pass, or if you prefer to play heroes from previous seasons, you can also unlock them directly by taking Primocrysts.

Torchlight Infinite SS12 Magus Stacking Chain Lightning Erika 2 Guide | Tanks Everything While Melting Maps with Chain Lightning
The yields in Torchlight Infinite SS12 are incredibly abundant. Even if your build isn't particularly powerful, you may have stockpiled a large amount of Flame Elementium. Now is the time to try some builds that demand a considerable investment.
Magus Stacking Chain Lightning Erika 2 has almost no drawbacks apart from its substantial resource requirement. Its core logic is to concentrate resources, converting the majority of incoming damage into a single type, then pushing that specific resistance as high as possible to achieve outstanding survivability. The remaining affixes can then be devoted entirely to scaling damage.

Core Mechanics
Magus Stacking
What makes this build resource-intensive is its unique stacking approach. Traditional Aura Stacking relies on Lone Walker's Boots, the passive tree, and Sealed Mana Compensation on gear to stack auras.
These auras typically provide additional flat damage bonuses, such as extra lightning, cold, or physical damage. You simply need to stack Aura Effect blindly to amplify those damage bonuses directly, or gain higher energy shield and armour from defensive auras.
Magus Stacking, however, does not provide flat damage directly. Take the base effects of 5 Magus types as an example:
- Thunder Magus: Grants attack speed and cast speed.
- Frost Magus: Grants life and energy shield recovery.
- Fire Magus: Grants base critical strike chance.
- Rock Magus: Grants physical damage reduction.
- Erosion Magus: Reduces damage taken from DoT.
All these effects are scaled by Origin of Spirit Magus effect. If you have 100% increased Magus effect, an affix that originally reduces damage by 8.55% will be doubled to roughly 17% reduction. In short, extreme stacking does not acquire damage directly through Magus themselves but rather amplifies their various auxiliary effects to construct both offense and defense.
Defense
The key defensive mechanism of this concept revolves around a pair of legendary boots called Verdant Steps. By granting additional effects to Spirit Magus, they fundamentally alter the defensive logic of the entire build.
Verdant Steps feature three random Spirit Magus affixes, drawn from a pool.
- Damage affix: Grants Spirit Magus aura-like flat damage capabilities, such as extra lightning damage.
- Defense conversion mod: Converts other similar damage taken into a single type, such as lightning or fire.
- Immunity mod: Provides immunity to specific ailments or trauma.
Beyond the three random affixes, there is a fixed affix that grants 10% movement speed for each Spirit Magus type affecting you. If all six are active, you receive a massive 60% movement speed bonus.
With these boots, the defensive pressure on your entire gear setup is significantly alleviated. At most, you need only one additional defensive item to solve your defenses, while all remaining slots can be dedicated entirely to stacking damage.

After establishing the defensive core, the rest of the gear follows a very classic Deck Stacking and Spell Burst framework.
Weapon: Headless Cleric Wand
Stack skill levels; lightning skill levels or cast speed are both fine. Crucially, it should have a critical strike chance affix. In short, choose every affix that can boost your damage.
Body Armour: Ralph's Burial
Ralph's Burial provides a substantial amount of evasion, boosts your dexterity, and adds lightning damage based on your dexterity. Ideally, you aim for double-corruption affixes. It can be paired with Ralph's Footsteps, provided you already have an affix that converts other damage types to lightning damage.
Boots: Verdant Steps
Verdant Steps are obviously the core of this build. They require roughly 30,000 to 50,000 Torchlight Infinite Flame Elementium. If you opt for Ralph's Footsteps instead, you will only need around 10,000 FE.
Belt: Eternity
You need Thrice Lucky variant of Eternity. This belt is exceptionally effective for lightning skills.
Gloves: Long Night Sorcerer's Wristband
Here you stack maximum resistance cap. Ideally, you further raise it to 86% for even more consistent survival.
Amulet: Sacrificer's Necklace
Sacrificer's Necklace must include Beacon affix. As this is the only source of Spell Burst charges available within this specific build, it is an absolutely mandatory item.
Ring 1: Vorax Limb: Digits
The most important affix is converting lightning damage to lightning damage (matching Verdant Steps). The remaining affixes can pursue critical strike damage or increased Spirit Magus effect.
Ring 2: Thunder Tempered Lightning Ring
The implicit affix of Thunder Tempered Lightning Ring is lightning resistance. For the remaining affixes, you can continue to stack resistance or energy shield.

Magus Stacking Chain Lightning Erika 2 is a very intriguing build. Compared to Aura Stacking, its direct damage gains are not particularly high, but it trades that for unparalleled survivability. The main issue with this build currently is that the initial resource requirement to gear it up is extremely high, and its damage ceiling is limited by diminishing returns from aspects like Pet Tablets. Even so, it remains one of the smoothest and most satisfying builds for clearing maps in SS12.

It's time once again to discuss brand-new farming strategies for Torchlight Infinite: Lunaria. This time, our focus is on a brand-new mechanic introduced in SS12: Creation Engine.
Creation Engine is a brand-new, permanent map mechanic. Players must defeat Creation Sentries, which are guarded by sentinels, to unlock a trove of lucrative, top-tier rewards. Once a player has cleared out all the sentries, the nearby Creation Crystals automatically transform into highly valuable loot.
To be honest, Creation Engine initially made me laugh out of sheer frustration during the early stages of Season 12. To even engage with it, you had to sink a significant amount of resources into Pets and Pactspirits, yet the drop rates were abysmal, to put it mildly. Many players were quick to label it an epic trap.
The verdict? By the late game, I was singing a completely different tune. As soon as you systematically take down those Creation Sentries one by one, the adjacent crystals instantly morph into premium loot. When combined with effects from Netherrealm Talents, such as Crystal Duplication or Chain Reaction triggers, the sheer visual spectacle of loot raining down across the entire screen is truly breathtaking.
Although the initial barrier to entry is a bit steep, provided your damage output is top-tier, this is arguably the most stable and entertaining late-game strategy available right now. The stress-relieving satisfaction of clearing the entire screen of monsters is genuinely addictive, it's an investment you won't regret!

Before Entering
Before you begin, please take note: this Creation Engine strategy in Torchlight Infinite is effective only within Profound difficulty tier. If you have already progressed to Deep Space tier, you may certainly attempt it there as well. Our point is that in any lower-level Timemarks, tiers below those mentioned, this strategy will be completely ineffective.
Furthermore, this strategy places quite high demands on your character's build: you will need to possess a minimum DPS (Damage Per Second) of approximately 2 trillion or higher. This is because throughout our farming runs, we will be exclusively utilizing Legendary Compasses. This implies that we must clear these maps at lightning speed to maximize our efficiency and profit; consequently, high DPS is an absolutely essential, non-negotiable requirement.
In addition to high damage, you will also need to possess a certain degree of survivability. If your defensive capabilities are insufficient, you will, without a shadow of a doubt, be instantly one-shot and killed when facing the final Creation Engine boss at the end of the map. Should you fall in battle, you will forfeit all loot acquired during that specific run, effectively rendering your entire map clear a complete waste of time, leaving you empty-handed.
That said, this strategy carries a slight element of risk regarding its profitability, and the pet you choose to bring along often has a direct impact on your earnings. For instance, running without a pet might yield approximately 1,500 to 2,000 FE per hour; however, if you bring along a low-level Kong, your earnings can instantly skyrocket to between 2,500 and 3,000 FE per hour!
Yet, this represents only a fraction of the full profit picture. The reason is that Creation Engine strategy features two exclusive, heavyweight drops: Silent Avowal and Tyrant's Iron Fist. Each of these rare items is individually valued at several thousand Torchlight Infinite Flame Elementium; as you continue to farm, you will discover that you can acquire these treasures quite frequently.
Regardless of your current farming efficiency, simply by adopting this strategy, these rare drops can effortlessly boost your hourly earnings by an additional 1,000 to 1,500 Flame Elementium.
Talent Constellations
Now, let's dive into the specifics of Void Chart setup for this strategy.
This section of the setup is quite straightforward, as our core objective is to activate the nodes associated with Creation Engine and to stack as much Drop Quantity as possible. Therefore, before you begin, ensure that you visit your Path of Progression and all your Boss Skill Trees to claim every available Talent Point.
Within Creation Talent Constellation, we can activate almost every node, with the exception of those providing additional chance modifiers, as well as a specific node located on the right side of the tree (activating that particular node would completely undermine our core strategy).
Our primary focus should be on Commodity Talent Constellation, where we want to activate all Deep Space Resonance nodes. This is because Creation Engine mechanic generates a substantial amount of Resonance; activating these nodes translates into significant overall profit gains. Furthermore, we will be running two Legendary Compasses in conjunction with one Purple-quality Compass, as the primary objective of this strategy is to farm as many Fluorescent Memories as possible. Additionally, it is highly recommended that you use a Blue-quality Lunaria Compass to boost your map rewards; this represents pure, free profit, so there is absolutely no reason not to use it.
Concurrently, please ensure that for every map you run, you stack your Item Quantity bonus to a full 100%. If you are executing this strategy within Deep Space region, you must ensure that you activate Deep Space Resonance effect for every run, as the additional Item Quantity bonus it provides is absolutely critical.
Regarding map selection, you are free to operate in any region you prefer. In truth, the specific region you choose matters very little; the only requirement is that the map layout possesses a relatively linear structure. This ensures that you won't waste time wandering around in search of Creation Engines you might have otherwise missed.

Next, let's quickly run through Pactspirit configuration required for this Creation Engine farming strategy.

You need to make a straight dash all the way to the end of the map; feel free to kill any monsters you encounter along the way, but always prioritize maximum efficiency. Once you reach the end, simply activate your Lunaria skill and proceed to process every Creation Engine you see, one by one.
If you prefer, you also have the option to activate and process multiple engines simultaneously. However, please keep this in mind: do not touch Record Creation Engine, the massive engine in the map displaying a specific numerical count, until you have finished clearing every other Creation Engine in the zone. Its function is to scan and consolidate all Creation Engines you have already activated within the map, thereby rewarding you with loot far more bountiful than what is typically found.
Regarding the mechanics of this entire system, there is absolutely no way for you to manually intervene in or influence where Creation Engines spawn. All you can do is kill monsters as quickly as possible and clear the entire map with maximum speed. So, get ready, it's time to dive into the frenzied slaughter of Torchlight Infinite SS12!

Loot and Returns
Finally, let's discuss the loot dropped by Creation Engines and the ultimate financial returns, after all, this is the core topic that everyone truly cares about.
In total, we ran through 675 maps, ultimately netting a total profit of 82.5K FE. As for the specific loot we obtained, 38% of it consisted of Fluorescent Memories. Furthermore, thanks to my Level 3 Pactspirit, Kong, the quantity of dropped Fluorescent Memories increased by approximately 30%. This means that roughly 11% of my total earnings can be directly attributed to the various bonuses provided by my Pactspirit.
On average, we were able to earn between 2,500 and 3,000 FE per hour. If you do not have Kong, your hourly earnings will probably range from 1,500 to 2,000 FE, depending on your luck and the speed at which you clear maps.
Additionally, a significant portion of our profits came from two top-tier items exclusive to Creation Engine mechanic: Tyrant's Iron Fist and Silent Avowal. During our farming runs, we obtained two copies of each item; this alone was enough to boost our total earnings for the entire session by an additional 20%.
Without a doubt, Creation Engine gameplay in Torchlight Infinite SS12 truly delivers substantial Flame Elementium returns, occasionally offering up various random jackpot surprises and other treasures you might stumble upon. Unlike traditional maximizing DPS, we'll be introducing a Charge Calling Moto build that maintains approximately 183 billion DPS while significantly improving character survivability and ensuring stable map clearing on Profound difficulty.
This build balances attack and survival. The core gameplay utilizes Self-Destruct Protocol for area-of-effect damage, achieving extremely high damage output while maintaining sufficient Energy Shield stacks through specific gear and talents.
In other words, this build abandons the traditional Glass Cannon route, focusing on a balance between DPS and survivability.

Core Gear and Crafting Strategy
Currently, most Boom Moto players opt for extremely high damage at the cost of low survivability, potentially dying twice per map.
Therefore, we can forgo Isomorphic Arms and instead select Mighty Guard, granting summon skill levels +2. By stacking Energy Shield and defensive layers, the death rate can be significantly reduced.
Equipment selection revolves around maximizing summoned damage output while maintaining Energy Shield.
- Helmet: Machine Lord. The core, best-in-slot item. Reduces summoned numbers but significantly increases damage. The corrupted version is preferable for better value.
- Armor: Void Embankment. The ultimate damage-focused choice. It grants 20% more damage, but reduces Energy Shield from 7500 to 3500, decreasing survivability by 47%. Suitable for players who are skilled in operation.
- Alternative Armor: Choose a high-value Armor that provides a large Energy Shield and good stats.
- Weapon: Core affixes priority is Physical Damage, Summoned Skill Level, Strength, Attack Speed, and Critical Strike Chance. A top-tier base is extremely expensive, requiring approximately 18,000 Torchlight Infinite Flame Elementium.
- Ring: Key damage affixes are Physical Damage, Summoned Damage, Double Damage, and Command. Ideally, you should maximize Double Damage chance.
Skill Links and Key Choices
Skill links directly affect your combat efficiency and damage output.
The primary skill is Trog 2nd General. The secondary links are Fearless, which significantly increases the self-destruct skill's range, achieving a screen-clearing effect, and Area Protocol, which further increases skill's range.
Self-Destruct Protocol possesses both tags, expanding its range to cover the entire screen, resulting in extremely high map-clearing efficiency in actual combat. With two summons, it provides seamless full-screen coverage.
Regarding Mechanical Mods, Modularization: Resonance increases extra damage by 88% and is relatively inexpensive, offering both affordability and high efficiency.
However, our ideal choice is Force Field. It not only provides 100% extra damage but also grants summons a shield equal to 100% of their maximum health. For example, a summon with 9000 health would gain an additional 9000 energy shield, effectively doubling its damage.
There are also some other auxiliary skills.
- Energy Fortress: Energy Shield regeneration is not interrupted after each hit.
- Iron Fortification: Provides additional armor and Cooldown recovery, enhancing defense.
- Blink + Quick Mobility + Magic Dash: A three-piece mobility set.
- Rising Edge: Base cooldown 10 seconds. Can be reduced to approximately 6 seconds with 23% Cooldown Recovery Speed and additional Cooldown Reduction. There is approximately a 1-second downtime, which can be compensated for with perfect affixes or talent nodes.
Timid and Activation Medium: Elite are not required and can be replaced.
For aura selection, you can use Precise: Weapon Amplification, Precise: Radical Order, and Energy Fortress.
If you have Lone Walker's Boots, which come with Precise: Radical Order, you can free up an aura slot to replace it with Cruelty or other damage-boosting auras. Having multiple auras active simultaneously significantly increases damage.
Skill Tree Allocation
Minion Damage and Critical Hit Zone
Take points into Minion Damage with Command per second and Minion Damage with Hasten.
Mighty Guard
Replace Isomorphic Arms; don't use two-handed weapons, but instead gain +2 to Minion skill level.
Machinist
Compared to God of Machines, Machinist provides 15% critical hit damage and skill range, with each point granting 20% critical hit chance and 5% damage.
Key points are +1 to Synthetic Troops skill level, attack speed from Command, and maximum minion health.
Lich
With a 20% Critical Hit chance and 5% Critical Strike Damage bonus, this is our damage-boosting strategy. All skill levels and all attributes are important.
Slates Strategy
Our ideal affixes are Command, maximum minion health, and double damage chance (prioritize these until 100%).
Resonance of the Stars can copy all purple affixes on all slates. For example, three slates that provide Command will give you 6 Commands, and six of those will give you 12, a very high benefit. It's also easy to obtain.
Practical Evaluation
On Profound difficulty, our Charge Calling Moto clears maps very quickly, covering the entire screen. Unless hit by a burst of high damage, it's very stable and almost never dies. If you're unlucky, you might die once per map.
By doubling the number of summons with Machine Lord, maximizing double chance, and using Resonance of the Stars to copy slates, we can achieve a survivable output of 200 billion. Even without Machine Lord, it's playable, but with one less summon, the damage will be halved.
For a safer experience, you can choose a high-energy shield Armor to replace the damage-dealing chest armor.
If you're looking to reliably farm Profound difficulty with Charge Calling Moto in Season 12, this build offers a very balanced approach. There's no need to blindly pursue the high-risk, high-reward glass cannon.

Torchlight Infinite and Path of Exile share a notable similarity: both feature highly complex gear crafting systems. Some of the most valuable items are often not unique items, but rather pieces of gear with perfectly rolled affixes crafted by players.
And during the transitional phase before the endgame, players sometimes need to craft their own gear to shore up damage and survivability. So let's take a look at how players in Season 12 can craft gear with the affixes their characters need.

Gear Quality
Just like in any ARPG, gear in Torchlight Infinite comes in different qualities. Quality indicates the number of affixes on an item, while item level affects the numerical values of those affixes. You can upgrade a normal piece of gear to a higher quality, much like in Path of Exile, as long as you have enough currency.
- Normal Gear: 0 or 1 affix
- Magic Gear: 1–2 affixes
- Rare Gear: 3–5 affixes
- Legendary Gear: 5 to 6 affixes, and comes with a special effect
- Priceless Gear: up to 6 affixes
Since Legendary Gear can generally only be obtained as drops, Priceless items represent the upper limit of what most players can craft. So let's talk about how you can craft Priceless Gear.
Gear Affixes
In typical ARPGs, gear affixes are divided into tiers based on their numerical ranges. In Torchlight Infinite, the highest numerical tier is T0, which is undoubtedly the best affix you should aim for.
When you replace affixes on a Priceless item, you'll find that all affixes are broadly categorized into three types.
- Basic Affix: replaced using Precious Ember in the crafting interface.
- Advanced Affix: replaced using Matchless Ember in the crafting interface.
- Ultimate Affix: replaced using Ultimate Ember in the crafting interface.
Core Rules
Before entering Craft Menu, we need to be clear about two core rules, especially for Priceless items: first, a piece of gear can have at most 2 Advanced Affixes; second, at most 2 Ultimate Affixes. Basic Affixes have no quantity limit.
Given this limitation, you need a strategy to land the affix you want most. Suppose the advanced affix pool contains 7 possible affixes. If you want a specific one, blindly rolling gives you a 1/7 chance.
You can first plug in a random, irrelevant advanced affix to occupy a slot, reducing the pool to 6 candidates. Then go for the one you actually want - your probability rises to 1/6, saving a significant amount of materials and currency.
Fill with Basic Affixes
When your gear is still blank or has plenty of open prefix/suffix slots, you should handle Basic Affixes first. Since Basic Affixes have no cap, you don't need to blindly face a large pool of 8 or 9 possibilities. The right approach is to first put on two random Basic Affixes to fill slots, boosting the chance to roll your desired Basic Affix from 1/9 to 1/7 or even 1/6, making it easy to obtain the stat you want.
Say you want a T1 Spell Damage as a prefix. First casually apply two Basic Affixes, then aim for Spell Damage. You can turn on Auto Craft function, set it to lock T1 Spell Damage, and it will automatically stop when it appears - very convenient.
The same method applies to suffixes. For example, if you're looking for T2 Elemental Damage, first fill with junk affixes to shrink the pool, then craft.
Advanced Affixes
After sorting out Basic Affixes, it's time for the most critical step: Advanced and Ultimate Affixes. At this point, do not casually use Ultimate Ember and Torchlight Infinite Flame Elementium to craft affixes. You must first press and hold the crafting button to observe the number of affix candidates in prefixes and suffixes, and then decide on which side to place the filler affixes.
If the advanced affix pool for prefixes has 8 candidates, and the advanced pool for suffixes has 7, you should clearly put both filler advanced junk affixes onto prefixes. This blocks the prefix advanced pool down to only 6 effective affixes, while the already smaller suffix advanced pool remains less competitive.
Conversely, if you do the opposite and block the 7-affix suffix pool with fillers, the prefix pool still confronts you with a large 1/8 chance - clearly not worth it.
Ultimate Affixes
The logic for Ultimate Affixes is identical. Suppose the ultimate affix pool for prefixes has only 5 candidates, while the suffix ultimate pool has as many as 9. Then you should put both filler Ultimate Affixes onto suffixes, reducing its pool to 8, while the prefix side retains a clean 1/5 chance to hit the best affix.
In short, you need to place your filler affixes on the side with more candidates, so that Advanced and Ultimate affixes - which demand the most resources - are rolled on the side with less competition. The prefix/suffix pool distribution can differ entirely for each gear slot and base type, so make it a habit to check the pool sizes every time before you craft.
The final crafted piece is often a perfect combination of six affixes: prefix: Basic, Advanced, Ultimate; suffix: Basic, Advanced, Ultimate. Of course, depending on the build, you may see variations like two Advanced and one Basic on prefixes, two Ultimate and one Basic on suffixes, and so on. But the foundation for everything is knowing how to target and lock the affixes you need.
