Therefore, we'll be introducing the recently launched Smithing event. As the name suggests, this event changes the game's fundamental farming mechanics for a limited time by introducing a forging system and gameplay, making it worth experiencing.

How To Obtain Coal?
As you may have noticed from the overview, whatever Smithing event-limited reward you want, you must craft it using coal. Therefore, coal is arguably the core of this event.
To obtain coal, you need to find the corresponding forge in the center of your garden and then sacrifice four items: fruits, seeds, gear, and pets. The higher the rarity of the sacrificed material, the more coal you will obtain, and the rarity will also increase.
However, we do not recommend sacrificing rare items indiscriminately, as their value is still higher than that of coal as a consumable. Therefore, based on the material type, we have listed the following materials that are worth prioritizing for sacrifice:
- Fastest-growing, lowest-value fruits.
- Old enough pets, but with average rarity and bonus effects.
- Uncommon or duplicate gear.
- Common, ordinary seeds.
However, if you haven't crafted the limited-edition item you want by the end of the event, it's time to sacrifice your Transcendent and Prismatic tier items!
Items Worth Prioritizing
Based on the information above, this event offers many limited-edition items, but your resources are limited, making it difficult to craft them all, and not every item is valuable. Therefore, you need to selectively plan your crafting.
Seeds
Of all the limited-edition seeds, we highly recommend crafting olive and hollow bamboo seeds. Once mature, olives can be used to obtain coal or to craft other items. Hollow bamboo grows quickly and can be used to decorate your garden once mature.
It's worth noting that hollow bamboo is unique compared to regular bamboo due to its hollow structure, which may create interesting interactions with your garden pets when used as decoration.
Gear
Compared to other items, gear requires the most coal at the gear forge. Therefore, to avoid missing out due to resource shortages, we recommend crafting Smith Hammer of Harvest first.
This gear requires 1 harvest tool, 3 rare coals, and 6,000,000 Sheckles, taking 30 minutes to craft. It allows you to instantly harvest all fruit within a certain radius, eliminating the need to run around harvesting.
Afterwards, if you have enough resources, you can forge the following gear:
- Forger Pet Shard: Grants your selected pets a permanent Weight of a Smith blessing, further enhancing their farming efficiency.
- Smith Treat: Provides pets with a continuous and substantial XP boost, stacking with other buffs.
- Thunder Bringer: Summons lightning to strike plants in the garden, triggering special mutations and instantly harvesting some plants.
Pets
Smithing Dog is probably the most suitable pet for this event-based gameplay, as releasing it will allow it to discover hidden coal deposits in the garden, increasing your coal income.
The second limited-edition pet worth having is Cheetah, which grants you a transformation effect, giving a chance for Wild Fast mutation to the fruit you harvest during the transformation, increasing its rarity and yield.
Gem Egg Collection is a special pet type; the pets you get after hatching are random, but most are very rare, so it's worth the gamble.
Don't Forget To Play The Mini-Games!
In addition to crafting items according to the basic gameplay, Smithing event also features a daily mini-game system. During the event, you can claim 10 treasure digging chances each day. Digging up crates gives you a chance to obtain the following rewards:
- Divine coal
- Gem Eggs
- Event exclusive pets
- High-tier crafting materials, represented by Grandmaster Sprinkler
That's all the information you should know about playing Grow A Garden Smithing event. We wish you good luck in the coming days and hope you successfully craft any item you want!
