In MMORPGs like World of WarCraft and Final Fantasy 14, players don’t die frequently unless they are challenging high-difficulty raids. But when you add survival gameplay to it, the shadow of death will follow you everywhere.

Dune Awakening has a relatively cruel death penalty. Once you die on this cruel desert planet, you will lose all Dune Awakening items you carry and resurrect at your base or Respawn Beacon.

According to the data released by the developer, it is estimated that players have died millions of times in Arrakis. Some of them died during exploration, some were eaten by sandworms, and some were attacked by other players. So what are the current ways to die in this game?

Dune Awakening Death Ways List: Have You Been Killed By These Conditions?

Sun

The sun is the first killer of most players. The extremely high temperature punishes any player who covets this desert spice equally. Many players underestimate the power of the sun. What else can it do besides being a little hot? Then, the lack of water will teach players a lesson.

The first thing players who respawn at the base will probably do is to find a way to bring a water bottle. At least in the early stages, the sun above forces players to take time to find water when they go out.

Coriolis Storm

If the shadow of the boulder is the mercy of the sun, then Coriolis Storm that players encounter in the wild is completely ruthless. When the sandstorm comes, the map will be slowly swallowed by the yellow sand, which is really quite oppressive.

And when you face Coriolis Storm in the wild, everything in front of you will soon be covered by sand, your health will continue to decrease, and finally you will kneel on the sand and lose your breath. If you have a Buggy, then hiding in the car can help you escape, but your vehicle may have to face a major overhaul.

Most sandstorms will have warnings, but some will appear randomly. You need to pay attention to the compass above your head. If a certain direction turns red, the sandstorm will sweep in front of you within two minutes.

Climbing And Falling To Death

Dying from climbing is a mistake that only new players make. Dune Awakening’s character's stamina can’t support you over a towering rock. Once your stamina runs out, you will fall. If you are at a high altitude, you will fall to your death.

Once players have Dune Awakening items such as grappling hooks, anti-gravity devices and suspensor belts, climbing is basically unnecessary.

Quicksand

Quicksand is a deadly trap in the desert. When you realize that you are in quicksand, it’s too late. The quicksand will swallow your feet, and then the sand will be over your head during the struggle. Unless you have a vehicle, it will kill most players.

You need to pay attention to the quicksand. Compared with ordinary sand, quicksand is darker and looks more moist. If you drive a vehicle and get stuck in quicksand, don’t reverse. It’s easier to escape from the quicksand by changing direction.

Radiation

Some precious resources in Dune Awakening are covered in radiation, and they are off-limits to unprepared players. When you step into this dangerous area, nothing will happen at first, but the radiation symbol in the lower left corner will start to flash and begin to accumulate. When it turns red, you still have a short period to move around. If you don’t have time to exit the radiation zone, you will die directly.

If you want to collect resources in the radiation zone, it is best to carry clothing that can prevent radiation, but it cannot completely resist radiation, and it can only allow you to move around for a little longer.

Sandworms

Sandworms are old friends to all players. From the beginning to Deep Desert, sandworms have been lurking in the desert as a normal natural disaster. Players are like plankton on the sea surface. Once sandworms are attracted, players will be eaten directly .

Players who have been eaten by sandworms once will not want to experience it again, because all Dune Awakening items carried by players eaten by sandworms will disappear, including vehicles. This is definitely a heavy loss, so be careful to keep quiet when walking in the desert, or just fly over their heads in an ornithopter.

CHOAM Patrolling Ships

Although players already offered taxes to the empire, they still seem to be considered thieves. Every time you go out at night, you will notice some small spaceships flying in the sky. They are not just images, and once you get close to them, you will be fixed. After a while, several soldiers will jump out of the ship.

Such sudden battles may kill you when you are caught off guard, but as long as you are prepared, it is not difficult to get rid of a few ordinary enemies.

Combat

Combat is undoubtedly the most common cause of player death. In PvE, once the number of enemies exceeds three, the danger of the battle will be greatly increased. And PvP is a carnival of fighting. You will get a shot when you just are riding a sandbike pass by.

Although the PvP area has been reduced, some bad players still try to kill other players in the PvE area for fun. Combat is not the only way they persecute players, so players must be cautious.

The above are some of the more common ways to die in Dune Awakening. Of course, there are some more bizarre ways to die, such as being crushed to death by a shipwreck in the sky. Not many players die in this way. What is your most memorable way of dying?
