Diablo 4 Season 10 Necromancer Soulrift Build Guide | Best Skills, Gear & Chaos Perks

Posted: Sep 30, 2025 Views: 29

While Necromancer in Diablo 4 Season 10 isn't the most powerful, it's still significantly stronger than in Season 9. Chaos Perks have significantly changed the gameplay of some Necromancer builds. For example, Bone Storm Necromancer's playstyle is more powerful than ever thanks to Alter the Balance, which allows you to turn your ultimate into a core ability.

Soulrift Necromancer, the meta build for Season 10 Necromancer, uses the same principles, but to maximize burst damage, you need a combination of various mechanics. Let's take a look at the skills and equipment required for this build.

Diablo 4 Season 10 Necromancer Soulrift Build Guide | Best Skills, Gear & Chaos Perks

Core Concept

The core of this build is to make Shadow Rift a core ability, spamming it frequently to trigger Shadowblight and deal incoming damage.

To achieve this, the two most important Chaos Perks are Alter the Balance and Crazy Brew.

Alter the Balance, obtained after defeating Bartuk on Torment 1 or higher, transforms Shadowrift into a core skill. Since Shadow Rift has no cooldown after becoming a core skill, but consumes Essence, Crazy Brew allows you to cast skills within five seconds of drinking without consuming Essence.

Shadowblight passive is also crucial: whenever your Shadow damage debuffs a target for 2 seconds, you trigger a Shadowblight explosion. This damage can be amplified by Corruption and Shadow Damage, up to a maximum of 450%.

Soulrift Necromancer Chao Perks

  • Alter the Balance: This is the core of this build, transforming Shadowrift into a core skill.
  • Accelerating Chaos: Reduces the cooldown by 0.5 seconds per cast, allowing for more frequent Corpse Tendrils and Blight.
  • Erupting Chaos: This grants you a burst of additional Shadow damage, which can be used to stack Shadowblight.
  • Crazy Brew: This Chaos Perk grants you bonus attack and movement speed after drinking a potion, and reduces Essence resource consumption by 100% for 5 seconds, allowing you to unleash Soulrift frantically within 5 seconds.

All damage comes from Shadowblight, not from skill level.

Skill Rotation

  • 1. Start with Reap, which provides damage reduction and attack speed buffs, and can spawn corpses.
  • 2. Cast Decrepify (Decrepify Curse)
  • 3. Cast Corpse Tendrils, gather monsters, and then use Blight.
  • 4. Drink a potion to trigger Crazy Brew, then madly cast Shadowrift at level 5.
  • 5. In between, you can cast Corpse Explosion, allowing you to stack more shadow damage on top of Blight.

Keep this cycle going every 5 seconds.

Soulrift Necromancer Equipment

  • Helmet: Godslayer Crown
  • Chest: Aspect of Hardened Bones (Cir & Wat)
  • Gloves: Aspect of Grasping Veins
  • Pants (Chaos Unique): Ebonpiercer
  • Boots (Chaos Unique): Fists of Fate
  • Necklace: Aspect of Decay
  • Ring 1: Aspect of the Damned
  • Ring 2: Sacrificial Aspect
  • Weapon: Blighted Aspect (Zan & Qax)

The most essential Diablo 4 items are Ebonpiercer and Fists of Fate. Without them, your damage will be significantly reduced. The others are common aspects of necromancers and are relatively easy to obtain.

After reaching the endgame, you'll need to Temper your gear. The following affixes should be prioritized:

  • Critical Strike Chance: Aim for as close to 100% as possible.
  • Attack Speed: Allows you to cast Soulrift more quickly.
  • Cooldown Reduction: Used for Corpse Tendrils and Blight.
  • Primary Resource: Finding affixes on accessories that restore Primary Resource for Ultimate Skills helps maintain your skill rotation.
  • Shadow Damage: Increases Shadowblight's damage to 450%.
  • Armor and All ResistanceImprove survivability.

Soulrift Necromancer is a top-tier build with exceptional burst damage and map-clearing efficiency. It relies heavily on Season 10 Chaos Perks, combining multiple mechanics. While achieving the full version requires Diablo 4 Season 10, even a less-than-complete version is sufficient for all end-game content.

While Soulrift Necromancer isn't particularly gear-dependent, you'll need 100% critical strike chance and 450% Shadow Blight damage to reach its full potential. Without these, its mid-game experience is somewhat weak.

To achieve this, you'll need materials and gold to Temper and Masterwork your gear. If you're short on materials, you can quickly and easily buy Diablo 4 items and gold on IGGM.com.
