You Don't Need Raids To Reach 320+ In WoW Midnight Season 2
WoW Midnight Season 2 offers solo players a significant amount of room for gear progression. Even without joining a fixed raid group or farming high-level Mythic+ content, relying solely on Prey, Delve, Great Vault, and the crafting system, you can reliably obtain Champion and Hero-level gear and gradually push your overall item level to 320+.
The process doesn't need to be overly complicated.
In the early game, focus on acquiring a large amount of Champion gear through Nightmare Prey Hunts and Tier 8 Bountiful Delves; then, utilize Great Vault and Trovehunter's Bounty Map to reliably acquire Hero gear, gradually replacing lower item level pieces.

How Should Solo Players Farm Each Week?
If you don't want to research which activities are most worthwhile each day, you can follow this order:
- Complete at least three Nightmare Prey Hunts.
- Prioritize using Restored Coffer Keys on Tier 8 Bountiful Delves.
- Fill up your Great Vault World row as much as possible with Nightmare Prey Hunts and Tier 8 Delves.
- Obtain Trovehunter's Bounty Map weekly and use it in Tier 8+ Delves.
Phase 1
Upon entering Midnight Season 2, the most important goal isn't repeatedly farming normal world content, but quickly getting your character to a level where they can consistently complete Nightmare Prey Hunts and Tier 8 Bountiful Delves.
Nightmare Prey Hunts
Prey Hunts have three difficulties: Normal, Hard, and Nightmare. Nightmare is the tier that solo players should truly focus on long term.
Nightmare Prey Hunts provide Champion Track gear and drop Champion Crests and some Hero Crests. Since only the first two hunts of each difficulty per week in Midnight offer gear rewards, completing at least two Nightmare Prey Hunts will reliably net you two pieces of Champion gear.
However, I recommend completing it three times a week. This also allows you to complete the weekly Nightmarish Task, earning extra Hero Crests and Scalebound Herald's Flute.
This Flute later helps you obtain the weekly limited Trovehunter's Bounty Map, so Nightmarish Prey Hunts can basically be considered a must-do every week.
Tier 8 Bountiful Delve
If Prey is a reliable source of Champion gear, then Bountiful Delve is the true primary source of gear in the early game.
Four Bountiful Delves will appear on Midnight map each day. After completing them, the final chest requires a Restored Coffer Key to open, and 100 Coffer Key Shards will automatically convert into one key.
However, you need to be careful how you spend your keys. The main gear rewards from Bountiful Delve reach their cap at Tier 8, so once you can consistently complete Tier 8, try to save all your Restored Coffer Keys for Tier 8.
Each time you open a reward chest, you'll receive Champion Track gear, which can be further upgraded.
If you plan to focus on gear upgrades during this phase, gold consumption will increase, especially when crafting gear, replenishing consumables, or adjusting gear. To minimize preparation time, you can buy WoW Midnight Gold from IGGM.com, dedicating more time to Nightmare Prey Hunts and Tier 8 Delves.
Phase Two
Once you've acquired most of your Champion gear, your focus will gradually shift to Hero Track. At this stage, the most stable source of Hero gear for solo Midnight players is Great Vault and Trovehunter's Bounty Map.
Great Vault
Both Nightmare Prey Hunts and Delve can fill World Row in Great Vault.
Nightmare Prey Hunts Vault reward tier is the same as Tier 8 Delves, and the weekly reward for Tier 8 can reach item level 305 Hero Track.
Therefore, it's not necessary to focus solely on one type of gear each week. In Midnight, you can mix Nightmare Prey Hunts and T8 Delves to unlock as many World Row slots as possible. This won't directly increase the level of individual gear pieces, but it will increase the number of gear options available each week and make it easier to encounter truly useful Hero pieces.
Grinding these weekly activities already requires a consistent time investment. If you're planning to replenish your resources anyway, consider completing IGGM Check in. The points earned after registering and logging in can be used to offset order costs or redeem discount codes and coupons, saving you money on future resource replenishment.

Trovehunter's Bounty Map
Besides Great Vault, Delve has another reliable source of Hero gear: Trovehunter's Bounty Map.
After completing three Nightmare Prey Hunts each week, you can obtain Scalebound Herald's Flute from the weekly Nightmarish Task. Upon entering Delve and reaching the mid-checkpoint, use Flute to summon Season 2 Delve Nemesis for a chance to obtain Weekly Bounty Map.
Since only one Map can be obtained per week in Midnight Season 2, the proper focus should be on Delve difficulty on which you use it.
Bounty Map is best used only on Delves of Tier 8 or higher difficulty. Once activated, an additional hidden Trove Chest will appear at the next Delve finish line, and only Tier 8+ difficult grants this reward to Hero Track.
This way, Great Vault and Bounty Map provide solo players with two stable sources of Hero gear, making the mid-game transition from Champion to Hero smoother.
The gear progression for solo players in Midnight Season 2 in the early to mid-game is clear: first, use Nightmare Prey Hunts and Tier 8 Bountiful Delves to build Champion gear, then consistently upgrade Hero gear through Great Vault and Trovehunter's Bounty Map.
As long as you complete these core tasks each week, even without participating in fixed raids or high-level Mythic+ dungeons, your gear will continue to improve.
WoW Midnight Season 2 Venomous Abyss Raid Completing Details: Boss Mechanics, Exclusive Rewards, and More
With the official launch of WoW Midnight Season 2, most difficulty levels for Venomous Abyss raid, the core content of Patch 12.1, are now available. It's time to dive in and unlock exclusive loot!
We've put together a comprehensive guide to Venomous Abyss covering boss order, combat mechanics, and loot drops, ensuring you have a great experience right from the start.

Raid basic info & timeline
Venomous Abyss features five difficulty levels: Story, Raid Finder (LFR), Normal, Heroic, and Mythic. Following Season 2 launch on August 18, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties, along with LFR Wing 1, are available immediately.
The timeline for the remaining difficulties is as follows:
- August 25: Story Mode; LFR Wing 2
- September 1: LFR Wing 3
- September 8: LFR Wing 4
To enter Venomous Abyss, travel to the new zone, Coiled Isle. Locate one of the three entrances to Vaults of Atal'Utek; the raid entrance itself is found on the north side within the vault.

What is the boss order?
Once your team members have reached level 90 and an item level of at least 273, you can group up and take on Venomous Abyss raid.
Your ultimate goal is to defeat the final boss, Ula'tek. Before reaching that point, however, you must defeat seven preceding bosses in a specific order:
- Defeat the initial boss, Nek'zali the Soulcoiler.
- Tackle the bosses on the two flanks: Bosses 2 & 3 Entombed Sentinels & Vashnik the Malignant, and Bosses 4 & 5 The Lost Explorers & Sszorak. Don't forget to clear out the trash mobs along the way.
- Return to the central pit to challenge Boss 6, The Twin Fangs, which unlocks the final encounters: Bosses 7 & 8 The Coiled Altar & Ula'tek.
In short, you cannot skip or bypass bosses you find difficult; you must follow the prescribed progression to complete the raid. So, if you run into difficulties along the way, it is best to buy WoW Midnight gold on IGGM.com immediately.
With a plentiful supply of gold, you can unlock consumables for replenishment or items to upgrade your gear at any time. Even if you don't need them yourself, they make great gifts for teammates during emergencies.
Plus, if you place an order on IGGM after registering and logging in, you can earn points by IGGM check in. These points can be used to offset order costs or be redeemed for discount codes and cash coupons, allowing you to buy more gold for less money!
The first 7 boss fight mechanics
As the first boss you will encounter in WoW Midnight Season 2 Venomous Abyss raid, Nek'zali the Soulcoiler presents a challenge centered around Soulcoil Well located in the middle of the arena.
If a player in your group dies inside Soulcoil Well, or if a Restless Amani gets too close to it, Nek'zali receives a buff that significantly increases the difficulty of the fight.
The second encounter, Entombed Sentinels, actually comprises two simultaneous boss fights that split your group into two teams; you must adapt your combat strategy based on the specific sentinel you are facing.
The fight against Vashnik the Malignant is relatively straightforward, consisting of a single phase with repeating mechanics. You need to watch out for the boss gaining various buffs and abilities from three fountains located around the arena.
The Lost Explorers encounter plays more like a combat-focused mini-quest; you must face three specific mini-bosses, utilizing unique mechanics to defeat them and complete the required objectives.
The mechanics for Sszorak & The Twin Fangs are generally similar to those of Vashnik the Malignant. Success against the former relies on boosting your movement speed beforehand, while the latter requires you to avoid the boss's stacking Eternal Venom debuff.
The seventh encounter, The Coiled Altar, consists of three phases. Zul'jan and Hex Lord Malacrass appear sequentially in the first two phases, while the third phase sees them merge to launch a combined attack.
Overview of the final boss Ula'tek mechanics
Almost all boss encounters in Venomous Abyss raid are divided into multiple phases and feature specific mechanics. However, Ula'tek is undoubtedly the most challenging of them all.
During the boss fight, Ula'tek continuously generates pools of venom via Caustic Waves and spawns Blightscale Spawn; upon contact with the venom, these spawn hatch into Putrid Membrane, dealing damage to you.
Throughout the encounter, the boss casts Spectral Coils to trigger spatial tremors and subsequently summons additional types of special minions.
After the minions are defeated, Ula'tek shatters the arena, rallies forces using Call of the Serpent, and further devastates the battlefield with Circling Prey.
If the boss fight described above has got your adrenaline pumping and you're eager to jump into the game and experience it firsthand, why not join IGGM Facebook Group first? If you're lucky enough to win one of WoW Game Time 60 Days giveaways, you can experience it for free!
Venomous Abyss raid reward system
All bosses inWoW Midnight Venomous Abyss raid drop Mistcrests, with quality determined by the chosen raid difficulty. These items are used to upgrade gear obtained from clearing this raid or other Season 2 content.
Each Venomous Abyss boss drops specific gear, with bosses encountered later in the raid dropping more powerful items. On Mythic difficulty, gear dropped by The Coiled Altar and Ula'tek reaches item level 344.
In addition to specific gear, bosses 2 through 6 drop tokens that can be exchanged for the new Season 2 Tier Set armor. The final boss, Ula'tek, drops Slumbering Coil Curio, an item usable by all classes, which can be exchanged for a specific armor piece at Kirana.
Beyond gear and gear-related tokens, completing Venomous Abyss offers a chance to obtain new WoW Midnight transmogs, Primeval Skyfriend mount, and housing decorations.
Connection to Great Vault
Defeating 2, 4, or 6 bosses in Venomous Abyss raid (on difficulties other than Story Mode) adds corresponding loot options to Great Vault.
Great Vault is a special weekly reward system offering up to nine gear choices; you can select one item after completing the required objectives. Defeating Venomous Abyss bosses now contributes to your Great Vault progress.
Despite the wealth of new content in WoW Midnight Season 2, we recommend prioritizing Venomous Abyss raid. The rewards it offers will help you rapidly progress through other new challenges!
