WoW TBC Classic Anniversary Phase 3 Class Guide: 5 Rare Specs Worth Rerolling Before T6 Raids

WoW TBC Classic Anniversary Phase 3 will launch on August 27th, along with the two major T6 raids, Mount Hyjal and Black Temple. This elevates the importance of raid composition to an unprecedented level.

With the gradual rise of melee classes and the peak of spellcaster DPS, the shortage of certain specializations is becoming increasingly significant. If you are preparing to create a new character or want to obtain a more stable raid position through rerolling, the following five specializations are definitely worth your serious consideration:

  • Enhancement Shaman
  • Balance Druid
  • Arms Warrior
  • Survival Hunter
  • Affliction Warlock

No. 5 Enhancement Shaman

WoW TBC Classic Anniversary Phase 3 Class Guide: 5 Rare Specs Worth Rerolling Before T6 Raids

First, Enhancement Shaman ranks fifth, but this position does not diminish its importance. Since the release of Level 58 Character Boost, Alliances have finally been able to acquire Shamans, but the number of Enhancement Shamans still falls far short of raid needs. Data shows that currently, each raid averages only 1.7 Enhancement Shamans, while most raid leaders desire at least two, and top guilds even bring three.

Why are Enhancement Shamans so sought after? The core reason lies in their buffs to melee parties. First, Improved Weapon Totem increases the effect of Windfury Totem by 30%; second, Unleashed Rage provides a 10% melee attack power bonus to the entire melee party. More importantly, Enhancement Shamans can also perform totem twisting - by switching between Windfury Totem and Grace of Air Totem, party members can simultaneously enjoy the benefits of both totem. While this increases mana consumption and operational difficulty, the boost to melee DPS is a qualitative leap.

In Phase 3, the environment for melee classes improved significantly, with most teams forming dedicated melee squads, and Enhancement Shamans being the core of these squads. If you're willing to play Enhancement Shaman, getting into a group is a breeze.

Of course, if you choose to reroll a new character to play Enhancement Shaman, choosing the right specialization is only the first step. To quickly reach the T6 raid entry requirements, you'll need to invest heavily in gear, gems, and enchants. No. 4 Balance Druid

WoW TBC Classic Anniversary Balance Druid

While Balance Druid's individual DPS isn't top-tier, the team buffs it provides are irresistible to any raid leader.

The core value of Balance Druid lies in the following key skills:

  • Moonkin Aura provides 5% spell critical strike chance to all casters in the raid.
  • Improved Faerie Fire provides 3% hit chance to all physical attackers.
  • Innervate restores mana to healers or mages who are low on mana.

However, currently there are only an average of 0.8 Balance Druids per raid, and with the rise of Warlock, the 5% spell critical strike chance provided by Balance Druid will only become more valuable to casters. Balance Druid is relatively easy to play and ensures a stable raid position, making it well worth practicing.

No. 3 Arms Warrior

WoW TBC Classic Anniversary Arms Warrior

Warrior is the class most prone to main character syndrome in BCC Anniversary - everyone wants to play Fury Warrior as the MVP, but nobody wants to play Arms Warrior as a support.

The core value of Arms Warrior lies in the Blood Frenzy talent - it applies a debuff to the target, increasing all physical damage taken by 4%. For a full physical DPS team, this 4% increase is not to be underestimated. However, data shows that currently, each raid only has an average of 0.7 Arms Warriors, meaning that 30% of teams are missing this crucial debuff.

Besides psychological factors, there's another practical reason for the scarcity of Arms Warriors: their difficulty level is far higher than that of Fury Warriors. The Mortal Strike and Slam rotation requires extremely high sustained DPS, resulting in significant DPS loss during movement.

Therefore, some Arms Warriors choose to use dual-wield weapons instead of two-handed weapons. While this playstyle results in slightly lower DPS, the controls feel similar to Fury Warriors, making it easier to learn.

No. 2 Survival Hunter

When mentioning hunters from the TBC Anniversary, most people immediately think of the Beast Mastery Hunter. This is the game's DPS ceiling, relatively simple to operate, yet with incredibly high damage. Because of this, it faces the same situation as Fury Warriors: everyone wants to be a DPS, and no one wants to be a support.

However, the team buffs provided by Survival Hunters are irresistible to any team aiming for maximum DPS - Exposed Weakness - when a Survival Hunter lands a ranged critical strike, it applies a debuff to the target, increasing the attack power of all attackers by an amount equal to 25% of the hunter's Agility. By Tier 6, the Survival Hunter's Agility will reach an astonishing level, providing a significant damage boost to both hunter and warrior groups.

If you already enjoy the Hunter class and don't want to be caught in the middle of countless Beast Mastery Hunters, then respec to Survival Hunter and stack Agility - you'll gain a permanent raid entry ticket.

However, while you're rerolling for Phase 3, consider joining IGGM Facebook Group. We're hosting a WoW Game Time * 60 days free giveaway. Participating gives you a chance to win 60 days of TBC Anniversary Phase 3 playtime, providing a platform to showcase your new specialization.

No. 1 Affliction Warlock

At the top of the list is, of course, the rarest, most sought-after, and most in-demand specialization from TBC Classic Anniversary Phase 3 - Affliction Warlock.

The Warlock class will reach god-tier status in the later stages of the BBC Anniversary. With the accumulation of Tier 6 gear, Destruction Warlock's damage will snowball, firmly securing its position at the top of the DPS charts. Malediction, Affliction Warlock's key skill, is the catalyst that amplifies all of this.

Malediction's effect is: increasing the damage bonus of Curse of Elements or Curse of Shadows by an additional 3%. In addition, Affliction Warlock can reduce the physical damage taken by bosses against tanks through Shadow Embrace. If needed by the raid, Improved Imp can also be selected to provide a stamina bonus to the tank group.

Currently, there are only an average of 0.47 Affliction Warlocks per raid, a figure far more exaggerated than any of the previous specializations. Why? Because Affliction Warlock requires managing complex multi-target DoT rotations, maintaining various curses, and sacrificing personal DPS to allow others to achieve 99 Warcraft Logs.

Therefore, if you reroll for Affliction Warlock now and try to find a guild, your challenge isn't whether you can get in, but which guild you should join - several guilds will be vying for you.

So, if you're planning to reroll in Phase 3, all five specializations are worth prioritizing. Instead of trying to get into an overcrowded DPS specialization, choose a position that your team truly needs. After all, in TBC Classic Anniversary, personal DPS determines how high you can score, while team composition determines your chances of getting in.
