  This way, you can both tank and heal in Heroic dungeons and Karazhan, becoming the group's hero. And in 25-player raids, you can flexibly heal as a Holy Paladin or Restoration Druid.

  Form Groups for Loot

  There's a serious issue with gear acquisition in the current game phase. If you feel you're not getting the loot you deserve, here's a temporary workaround, though you might not like it.

  However, many players successfully clear Heroic dungeons. The difference often boils down to efficiency. Some Heroic dungeons are genuinely very difficult, and you can treat them as endgame challenges to tackle later.

  Utilize a Mage

  If you feel your current class isn't cutting it, you should absolutely try playing a Mage. It will make the game feel a whole lot easier. Even if your defenses aren't up to par, give it a shot, because beyond your damage output, Mages possess excellent control abilities.

  A Mage's role in Heroic dungeons is to provide slows with Blizzard and crowd control with Polymorph. You can Polymorph at least one mob from every pull, and reducing the number of active mobs significantly lowers the damage the entire party takes.

  Master Crowd Control

  The mobs in The Steamvault are tough, but the instance is actually quite manageable, potentially one of the easier Heroics, especially when using crowd control. Simply assign a Rogue to Sap one mob, a Mage to Polymorph another, and you'll only need to deal with smaller, manageable groups of enemies.

  Skip Some Heroics

  Not all Heroic dungeons are worth completing. Heroic The Underbog is an absolute nightmare for tanks.   The same goes for Heroic Shattered Halls. Even if every class in your group has good crowd control, surviving in this dungeon is tough. If your gear isn't top-tier, almost every mob can kill you in a few hits. As players get better gear from Karazhan in the coming weeks, Heroic Shattered Halls will become progressively easier. You can wait until then to complete it. 

  Don't Join Skip Runs

  When you hear about 15-minute daily Heroic The Slave Pens skip runs, it sounds like a fantastic deal. However, in a PUG, skip runs are essentially a recipe for disaster. You skip several packs, someone makes a mistake, and you have to run all the way back from the instance entrance. The further you progress into the instance, the lower the margin for error, and the more time wasted on mistakes. In a PUG, it's impossible for all five players to be perfect; mistakes are inevitable.

  First, regarding the release date for Phase 2: the developers have provided only a broad timeframe: Spring (typically corresponding to March through May). However, considering the official roadmap and their established update cadence, a reasonable estimate places the release in mid-April—specifically, around April 16, 2026.

  Naturally, this projection is grounded in solid reasoning. If the previously released TBC Classic Anniversary roadmap holds true, the expansion's phase 4: Fury of the Sunwell is slated to arrive this autumn, implying a latest possible launch window in late November. 

  The entire cycle, from the initial launch to the final phase update, spans approximately 8 to 9 months, meaning each individual phase lasts roughly 2 to 3 months. Furthermore, given that Classic WoW phases typically run for 8 to 10 weeks, this further reinforces our belief that Phase 2 is scheduled for an April release.

  Additionally, since the game is still in its early stages and given that Phase 1 introduced three new raids—players typically require 6 to 8 weeks to farm (acquire) their gear sets. Consequently, the developers will probably provide players with a buffer period of around two months.   Yet, compared to the Heroic dungeons, the true focal point of their internal discussions is almost certainly whether or not to launch the subsequent raid content, specifically Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep, in their nerfed states. In fact, there are currently three potential adjustment paths available for them to choose from.

  The first option is to implement absolutely no nerfs whatsoever. This means that both Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep would be released in their original, un-nerfed versions, exactly as they were at launch. For those hardcore players, the rewards of such a decision would be immediate and tangible. However, looking at the global landscape, it is likely that only a handful of top-tier guilds would be capable of clearing Serpentshrine Cavern in its pre-nerf state, especially during the very first week of the raid's release.

  The second option involves adopting the official, original nerf patches from TBC Classic. It is worth noting that in the original game, these two raids were designed with the specific intention of serving as catch-up raids to help players bridge the progression gap. These raid adjustments were specifically aimed at assisting players in advancing their raiding progress.

  Furthermore, the changes introduced by these batch updates would be comprehensive in scope. They would encompass adjustments such as slower trash mob respawn rates, significant reductions to boss health pools, and in some cases, complete overhauls of the raid encounter mechanics themselves.

This strategy aims to ensure that the vast majority of players can successfully clear the content, while simultaneously providing developers with the latitude to meticulously fine-tune the details, thereby maximizing the preservation of the raid's original gameplay experience and core spirit.

  However, as of now, the official stance on how exactly to tune the raids remains undecided. Therefore, you are encouraged to actively voice your opinions; the developers may very well be monitoring player feedback to gauge the community's sentiments.

  

  Increased gear drop rates

  Next, as we transition into the next phase, we will face an unprecedented scarcity of gear within WoW TBC Anniversary. If Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep are released within just two weeks of each other, only the most dedicated and hardcore guild members will stand a chance of assembling a full set of Best-in-Slot (BiS) gear. This implies that, as the majority of players venture into the Phase 2 raids, their current gear levels will fall far short of the ideal standard.

For instance, they could allow players to exchange Badges of Justice for Epic-quality gear from Phase 1 raids, thereby establishing this as a viable and accessible avenue for gearing up.

  The final and highly contentious topic is this: Should the current spawn intervals for World Bosses be drastically shortened?

  Although World Boss encounters are technically PvE activities, the ultimate privilege of securing the kill often falls to a select few top-tier guilds, particularly in the cases of Doom Lord Kazzak and Doomwalker. This means that 95% of players never even get the opportunity to personally participate in a World Boss battle, which explains why only a tiny handful of individuals ever manage to acquire that coveted, top-tier BiS (Best-in-Slot) gear.

  As things stand, the vast majority of the player base has absolutely no chance of even challenging these bosses, let alone entertaining the fantasy of looting any spoils from these formidable World Bosses. This starkly highlights the fact that the current server system is in dire need of significant adjustments.

  Allowing a mere handful of guilds to monopolize all World Boss kills is simply too tedious; it clearly runs counter to the developers' original design philosophy. However, there is an incredibly simple yet effective solution: have World Bosses respawn every 5 to 8 minutes.

  How to unlock Heroic Mode?

  Unlike raids, which unlock sequentially as new phases are released, Heroic Dungeons represent high-difficulty content that you can experience at any time in WoW TBC Classic Anniversary.

  While it might seem that accessing Heroic Dungeons simply requires reaching the level cap and completing the necessary attunements or prerequisite quests, the reality is that these dungeons are extremely dangerous.

  Therefore, regardless of which class you play, if you want to successfully clear Heroic Dungeons and secure their loot alongside your group, you must master the specific strategies tailored to your role within the team. We will outline these strategies by category below.

  

  Tank roles

  In the vast majority of cases, if you find yourself struggling in a Heroic Dungeon, it is likely not due to an incorrect gear setup on your part, nor is it necessarily a sign of poor personal execution, it is simply because the trash mobs are incredibly powerful.

  This is an inherent design mechanic of Heroic Dungeons: enemy damage values are set exceptionally high, and their attacks are ferocious. Whether you enjoy this extreme style of gameplay, these are the established rules of the current game version.

  Given this reality, the golden rule you must always keep in mind as a tank is to kite your enemies. To facilitate this, most Heroic Dungeon groups require at least one Hunter or Mage to assist with crowd control.

  Additionally, it is highly recommended that your group includes at least one member capable of providing crowd control abilities, especially if your own gear or that of any other tanks in the team is not yet best-in-slot.

  If you feel that this makes the group composition slightly too complex or cumbersome, you may opt for a different approach; however, you must at least ensure that your group includes a member capable of applying slowing effects to enemies.

  Regarding gear, your top priority should be stacking the stamina attribute. For instance, Bog Lords found in Coilfang Reservoir can tear you apart in moments; only by having a sufficiently high Stamina pool can you give your healers enough reaction time to save you.

  Furthermore, you need to achieve the crit immunity threshold of 5.6%. This requirement is specifically aimed at level 73 enemies; the requirement for level 71 enemies is 5.2%, and for level 70 enemies, it is 5.0%.

  If you have access to alternative gear pieces that offer higher stamina values, you may, within reason, choose to sacrifice some dodge rating or defense attributes in exchange.

  Healer roles

  If you are playing as a healer, your absolute top priority is to remain in a constant state of casting.

  For example, the moment the tank pulls the first group of enemies, you must immediately begin pumping out massive amounts of healing; failure to do so could result in the tank's swift demise and a complete wipe of the entire group.

  While tanks can employ tactics such as kiting or utilizing traps to minimize direct damage intake when facing large groups of trash mobs, every Heroic Dungeon inevitably features certain monsters that are immune to slowing effects; in such instances, your tank teammate has no choice but to simply tank the damage head-on.

  Consequently, when tackling these dungeons, your reaction time as a healer must be exceptionally swift. Furthermore, you must ensure that you possess sufficient healing power before entering the dungeon.

  

  DPS roles

  For DPS players, the ability to provide utility to the team is far more critical than your individual damage output. This principle applies not only to Heroic Dungeons but to virtually every boss encounter in TBC Classic Anniversary content.

  More specifically, Hunters, for instance, should preemptively place a Frost Trap when engaging trash mobs. Mages should attempt to use Polymorph (Sheep) to CC at least one target; if facing a particularly large pack of mobs, they should coordinate the use of Blizzard.

  Additionally, if Mage in your group has spec'd into the talent that triggers a Frost Nova upon casting Blizzard, you must exercise extreme caution.

  This is because, unless you are the tank, if a melee DPS player attacks targets that have been frozen while the tank happens to be positioned away from them, those monsters will immediately switch their aggro to you.

  It is worth noting that several off-meta DPS classes in TBC Anniversary content actually prove to be highly reliable in Heroic Dungeons, precisely because of their exceptional team utility.

  First up is Rogue. This class not only possesses Sap, a powerful crowd control ability, but if the team coordinates its focus fire effectively, you can even use a continuous "stun-lock" sequence to control and kill even the most troublesome, high-threat targets.

  Furthermore, Rogue's single-target damage output is outstanding. This means you can inflict significant damage upon enemies while simultaneously keeping them suppressed via crowd control abilities. You also possess the capability to interrupt enemy spell-casting.

  As for Shadow Priest, this class not only deals respectable damage during dungeon encounters but also brings two powerful abilities to the table: Mind Control and Mind Soothe.

  Mind Soothe allows you to bypass many groups of standard trash mobs that you would prefer not to clear, such as the notoriously difficult first chamber in Auchenai Crypts dungeon.

  As for Mind Control, it enables you to directly take control of the high-damage-dealing mob within the pack your group is facing, and then have the remaining mobs focus fire and kill it.

  The final DPS class we will introduce is Warrior. Although many players perceive this class as lacking in utility, this is likely because they often fail to fully utilize Warrior's functional abilities.

  For instance, abilities such as Thunder Clap and Demoralizing Shout are incredibly powerful in helping the tank mitigate incoming damage.

  Moreover, when these two abilities are used in tandem, they not only reduce the physical damage the tank takes but also increase the time interval between consecutive hits.

  This means that if you encounter mobs with exceptionally high damage output, the healers in your group will have more time to cast healing spells before the tank is overwhelmed.

  Additionally, Disarm is highly effective against high-damage enemies wielding two-handed weapons, while Hamstring allows you to slow down particularly dangerous targets within a mob pack, enabling you to kite that specific enemy while your team focuses fire to clear out the rest.
