WoW MoP Classic Darkmoon Faire Guide: What Are New Content? - Mounts, Pets, And Buff
Posted: Jul 30, 2025 Views: 95
World of Warcraft’s appeal to so many players is primarily because of its compelling story and rich gameplay. Besides dungeons and raids, you can also train pets, fish, and advance professions.
In Mists of Pandaria Classic, Darkmoon Faire was a pure entertainment venue, a bit like Gold Saucer in Final Fantasy XIV, complete with its own fun mini-games. You can also obtain mounts and players here, making it a must-see for every player. In MoP Classic, the Darkmoon Faire has added several new features. Let’s take a look at what you can do there.
New Content
Darkmoon Striders
For players who haven’t yet acquired a mount, the gnome at the entrance will lend them one for free. It can only be used within Darkmoon Faire. Once you dismount, it automatically leaves, requiring you to return to the gnomes to redeem it.
Carousel Buff
At Darkmoon Faire, a pandaren named Kae Ti opened a carousel. If you take a ticket with WoW MoP Classic gold and ride it for a while, you’ll receive a buff for up to an hour—WHEE!! While this buff is active, your XP and reputation gains increase by 10%. This buff is particularly useful for anyone leveling or gaining reputation.
Darkmoon Top Hat sold by Gelvas Grimegate provides the same benefit, but it requires 10 Darkmoon Prize tickets and its effects don’t stack with WHEE!. Furthermore, when Darkmoon Faire closes, all Darkmoon Top Hats in your inventory will disappear, so use them quickly to avoid wasting them.
New Prizes
Playing daily mini-games will earn you a Darkmoon Prize Ticket, which has a chance of receiving the following items:
- Darkmoon Top Hat
- Darkmoon Sword
- Darkmoon Dragon
- Darkmoon Tiger
- Cloak of the Darkmoon Faire
- Darkmoon Zeppelin
- Darkmoon Whistle
These small prizes are not worth much, so you don’t need to sell them for Classic gold. However, you can email them to your alts. These rewards aren’t guaranteed to appear, and sometimes you’ll only receive a Darkmoon Prize Ticket.
