WoW MoP Classic Phase 3 New World Bosses Oondasta & Nalak | How To Defeat Them Based On The Skills?
Posted: Dec 09, 2025 Views: 31
December this year is proving to be exceptionally busy, with many new games released in October and November still going strong, and several popular classic games releasing new patches to attract players, such as WoW MoP Classic.
As a new server launched in July this year, Mists of Pandaria Classic scheduled release Phase 3 The Thunder King at 3 PM Pacific Time on December 9th, bringing new raids, zones, bosses, and more.
While Throne of Thunder raid is the focus of Phase 3, other content should not be overlooked. Below, we will introduce information on how to deal with two new world bosses.

Boss 1: Oondasta
This boss's habitat is located in the center of the new zone, Isle of Giants, which is also home to various dinosaurs. You can start the boss fight after completing the dinosaur-related quests.
Boss Skills
Oondasta has six skills, which it will use at different stages of the fight to maximize damage to your party. Each member of your team needs to prepare for and react to these skills based on their role. These skills include:
- Alpha Male: The boss will make the strongest player in the party immune to taunts and increase the threat generated by tank-specialized players by 100%.
- Crush: Deals a large amount of single-target damage and continuously reduces your armor by 25% for one minute.
- Frill Blast: The boss can accumulate energy using its armor and then release a shockwave, dealing fire damage to all players within 60 yards in front of it.
- Spiritfire Beam: Fires a beam at you, dealing fire damage. The beam will then bounce, affecting up to 99 players.
- Piercing Roar: This skill allows Oondasta to deal physical damage to all players and interrupt your spell-casting. You will be unable to use the same spell again for 10 seconds.
- Growing Fury: Throughout the fight, the boss continuously accumulates rage, increasing its damage by 10%, and this effect stacks until the boss dies.
How To Deal With These Skills?
To ensure that your tank players can accumulate enough threat even under the effect of the boss's Alpha Male skill, DPS players should not attack immediately at the beginning of the fight.
After that, tank players who have accumulated sufficient threat should stop attacking to reduce threat, then allow the second tank to begin building threat. This cycle should be repeated to ensure that each tank player shares the damage.
Additionally, throughout the entire fight, you must ensure you are positioned behind the boss to easily dodge Frill Blast skill, which only impacts the boss's front.
To avoid the effects of Spiritfire Beam skill, everyone needs to maintain a distance of approximately 10 yards from each other while remaining behind the boss.
As for Piercing Roar, simply ensure you stop casting before the boss uses this skill to avoid being silenced.
Boss Fight Rewards
This boss drops Epic 522 item-level gear rewards, which only dropped from world bosses, with Reins of the Cobalt Primordial Direhorn mount item being a notable reward.
Boss 2 Nalak
This boss is located in Isle of Thunder, another new zone introduced in Phase 3, and is close to the entrance of the new raid. However, it's important to note that to enter this zone, you must complete stage 5 of Isle of Thunder campaign on your current server.
Boss Skills
Compared to Oondasta, Nalak has fewer main skills, only 4, but you still shouldn't take him lightly.
- Lightning Tether: The boss can connect you and your teammates to himself, dealing approximately 10,000 Nature damage to each person every second. If you move more than 30 yards away from the boss during this time, the damage will be doubled.
- Arc Nova: Nalak will fire a pulse of energy, dealing significant Nature damage and knocking back any players within 35 yards.
- Stormcloud: The boss will summon a storm cloud that covers the entire arena, dealing significant Nature damage every 3 seconds for 30 seconds to all players within 10 yards.
- Static Shield: The boss will always be surrounded by energy pulses, which deal Nature damage to a random player every 1 second.

How To Deal With This Boss?
Every 15 seconds during the fight, the boss will cast Lightning Tether on players. This is unavoidable, but you can avoid the doubled damage by always staying close enough to the boss.
However, if Nalak uses Arc Nova skill, you shouldn't consider the damage from Lightning Tether; instead, it's best to immediately move more than 35 yards away from the boss, as Arc Nova's damage is instantly fatal.
Additionally, Stormcloud's skill effect means you need to maintain a distance of at least 10 yards from the boss to avoid taking extra damage.
In general, the key to dealing with Nalak is to constantly pay attention to which skill he is using to quickly determine how far away you should be from him. Sometimes even a slight difference in distance can consume you your life.
Boss Fight Rewards
Defeating Nalak will drop Normal Tier 15 legs and gloves gear, as well as a large amount of PvP gear. And like Oondasta, Nalak will also drop a mount item, Reins of the Thundering Cobalt Cloud Serpent.
The above is the main information you should know to defeat the two new world bosses in Phase 3. Based on this, you should also contribute to the fight or heal others according to your role in the raid to ensure ultimate victory.
