To make your character grow strong as quickly as possible in Path of Exile 2, you can’t do without the help of various unique items. Some of them can provide you with reliable defense and dodge bonuses as armor, and some can provide more damage as weapons.
In order to help you collect more practical unique items as quickly as possible in Dawn Of The Hunt league, this time we will bring you the relevant information of armor Hyrri’s Ire Armoured Vest and weapon Tangletongue Forked Spear, so that they can provide you with reliable benefits.
Hyrri’s Ire Armoured Vest
In fact, there are many unique armors with good defensive effects in POE 2, so you may be curious why I introduce you to Hyrri’s Ire Armoured Vest? That’s because it has a similar effect to Acrobatics Keystone passive, and almost no disadvantages.
How To Get It?
If you want to save time and effort, you can buy POE 2 Currency and then reach the market to trade with other players to get this item. Or if you have Orb of Chance, you can also utilize this currency to convert ordinary armored vests into “Hyrri’s Ire”, but the success rate is very low.
In comparison, farming by killing enemies is a more common way to obtain unique items. Hyrri’s Ire Armoured Vest can only be dropped by killing enemies above level 75, which means you need to farm in maps of level 11 and above. Fortunately, special modifiers and juiced Precursor Tablets can increase the drop rate.
What Does It Do?
First of all, the effects included in this item are as follows:
- Adds (30–40)% elemental ailment threshold
- Adds (100–130)% evasion rating
- Adds (13–20) to (21–31) cold damage to attacks
- Adds (30–40) to dexterity
- Adds 25% chill duration on enemies
- Evade all hits if you have not been hit recently
The first six items are pretty straightforward to understand, but the last one needs some extra explanation: “Avoid all hits” means that this armor allows you to evade all types of enemy attacks with the evasion skill, not that your evasion rate can reach 100%.
But to be honest, even this is already very powerful, because it means that you can evade many damage from enemy slams, AOEs, strikes, and projectiles except for DOT, just like the passive effect of Acrobatics Keystone, and it doesn’t even cause the debuff that reduces evasion by 70%.
In fact, Hyrri’s Ire Armoured Vest itself is an armor with dodge attribute. After equipping, your character will automatically gain a certain amount of dodge level increase, and the modifier effect of dodge level increase of 100-130% will also be increased on this basis.
Tangletongue Forked Spear
Like Hyrri’s Ire Armoured Vest, as one of the many unique items in POE 2, Tangletongue Forked Spear also has its own unique advantages. Its exclusive modifier Forked Critical Hits will bring you unexpected effects in combat.
How To Get It?
The spear can also be traded in the trading market. According to the recent market situation, it takes about 1-30 Divine Orbs to complete the relevant transactions. In addition, it is also possible to convert ordinary forked spears through Orb of Chance - these orbs require your hard farming.
Luckily, unlike Hyrri’s Ire Armoured Vest, this spear can be obtained by exploring all game content, as it can be dropped by enemies at level 45 and above. This means that as long as you start exploring from Act 1 Cruel, you have a chance to obtain this spear at any time.
What Does It Do?
All the effects of Tangletongue Forked Spear are as follows:
- Grants skill Spear Throw
- Adds (14–18) to (30–36) physical damage
- Adds (10–20)% to critical hit chance
- Adds (15–25) to intelligence
- Forks Critical Hits
- 10% of skill mana consumption converted to life consumption
Spear Throw skill allows you to throw your spear, consuming a Frenzy Charge to make the spear explode before it hits the ground to damage the enemy. This means you get an item and a skill at the same time! Well worth it.
As for “Forks Critical Hits”, it means that when you make an attack, you roll 2 dice to determine whether your attack can be a critical hit:
- If one roll is a critical hit and the other roll is a non-critical hit, the attack will be a critical hit.
- If both rolls are non-critical hits, the attack will not be a critical hit.
- If both rolls are critical hits, the attack will be a double critical hit, giving you two critical hit bonuses.
This means that compared to without Forks Critical Hits, you can now not only increase your chance of causing a critical hit, but also have a chance to get an additional critical hit bonus. And if you have the unique gloves of Maligaro’s Virtuosity Fine Bracers, they can also form a synergy with each other regarding critical hits.
In addition, lucky hits also have the opportunity to provide better variable effects for Forks Critical Hits: if an attack is a lucky hit, the system will calculate it twice and choose the better result as the application result, so you can make two crits with better results.
Based on this, if you want to fully utilize the power of Tangletongue Forked Spear, it is best to increase your base damage as much as possible through skills or other gear, so that you can clear more enemies faster with more crits.
Hopefully, these guides we have provided can help you understand these two unique items and obtain them sooner! Keep up the good work!
