New World Aeternum Season 9 Getting All New Artifacts: They Will Make Your Exploration More Effective!

Posted: Aug 04, 2025 Views: 1251

Recently, New World: Aeternum launched Season 9, themed Season of the Banner. This season adds a wealth of exciting new content, including a PvP mode, a tried-and-tested 3v3 map, and brand-new seasonal activities and their rewards.

In addition, as with typical seasonal changes, the developers added a new artifact and reworked some existing artifacts, each of which impacted existing build possibilities of varying degrees.

New World Aeternum Season 9 Getting All New Artifacts: They Will Make Your Exploration More Effective!

This combination of adding new items and reworking existing ones has been well-received by players, as it maintains gear variety and keeps classic artifacts relevant, ensuring both new players and veterans stay in the game.

Because these artifacts play a crucial role in the game’s content, here’s a detailed guide on how to obtain all the new and exciting artifacts in Season 9. It’s worth noting that these artifacts are available to all classes, without restrictions.

Plagueherald Mask - Medium Headwear

According to the developer’s description, Plagueherald Mask was formerly used by a mysterious plague doctor in Aeternum. Its unique feature is that it converts your disease effects into devastating damage, making it ideal for builds that specialize in support and disruption. It also has a slot for Leeching Spectral Ward gem, which significantly increases your damage and healing.

While its damage is substantial, since you need to take some damage first, your positioning and defensive abilities are key. For example, you can spend more New World Aeternum Coins to make your armor more effective or stronger, allowing you to inflict significant disease or weakness on enemies while you’re healthy.

Back to the point, Plagueherald Mask appears in Sovereign Influence Spoils, which you earn by winning daily Influence Races. If you’re averse to PvP, you can also simply head directly to the race area to gain some PvP experience and be marked, minimizing the effort required to obtain the reward chest you need.

Generally speaking, the defending faction has a greater chance of winning this contest, so if you desperately need Plagueherald, prioritize participating in areas your faction is defending. This chest also contains other important item rewards, such as artifacts inherited from the S8 Season Pass and consumables gained through exploration.

Hammer Of Yeet - War Hammer

This artifact, also known as Yeeterson, has been the most discussed of all the new artifacts, not only for its unique appearance but also for its impressive damage potential. This spring-loaded weapon can send enemies flying with explosive force, converting the knockback into a chain of damage.

The combined effect is visually stunning, with vibrant animations and excellent combat effectiveness, making it ideal for players who prioritize impact. Additionally, players who focus on melee combat but want to take control of the fight are well-suited to using the Hammer of Yeet, allowing them to control the distance between them and their enemies and their damage.

Thanks to its unique heat effect, Yeeterson increases the knockback range of your War Hammer by 300% and its damage by 10%. At its peak, it ignites the first target struck, transforming it into a projectile that deals 100% weapon damage per enemy struck.

Hammer of Yeet is found in chests awarded for completing large-scale PvP encounters like Outpost Rush and Capture the Flag, but only if your character is level 61 or higher. While most PvP encounter guides, recommend maximizing your defense due to the unpredictable nature of combat, here, you’re encouraged to prioritize your offensive effectiveness, as only a powerful attack can prevent fatal damage.

Crescent’s Wave - Greatsword

Unlike the previous two artifacts, the volatile arcane energy inherent in Crescent’s Wave grants the greatsword’s wielder a magical ranged attack option, essential in PvE and PvP situations with heavy melee. Therefore, this artifact is more suited for players with spell-casting classes or characters.

Furthermore, its unique wave mechanic creates a window for high-damage burst damage at long range: it deals a 12% bonus to base damage to targets up to 10 meters away, applied to both weapons simultaneously. Incidentally, performing a heavy attack with your health above 50% deals 150% weapon damage.

This artifact appears as a Tier 20 reward in the free Season 9 Season Pass. Since the rewards on Season Pass will change every season, and the developer did not explicitly state that this artifact will be inherited into S10, you’ll want to farm the required points in the pass as quickly as possible to get it and double your ranged damage.

The above is the detailed information and acquisition methods of all the new artifacts added in New World Aeternum Season 9 Season of the Banner. Although their attributes or statistics will change with the release of in-game patches, the developers will not make major changes to them unless the season changes.

Hopefully, with the help of this guide, you can quickly collect these artifacts and place them in your builds, allowing you to fight through more battles and explore more content. Remember to create more build diversity, and we will continue to provide you with the most popular and best builds. I wish you a happy game!
