A while ago, New World: Aeternum Season 9, Season of the Banner, launched, bringing with it a brand new battle mode, arena, and more new gameplay content, all offering players a more engaging experience in various ways.
However, what excites players the most is Season Pass, which is updated every season, as the rewards it contains are extremely valuable and cover a wide range of areas, such as a large number of New World: Aeternum Coins, artifacts, and other crafting materials.
Like previous seasons, this season’s Season Pass still has two versions - Free and Premium, each containing 100 different rewards. After the season begins, in addition to making your build more powerful, it is also very important for players to get all the rewards in new Season Pass.
In view of this, this guide will provide you with a detailed introduction to rewards in S9 Season Pass and whether Premium Season Pass is worth the effort, so that you can aim for rewards and obtain the premium season pass according to your needs.
Levels 1-10
First, the rewards here in the free version aren’t particularly impressive; they’re mostly gift packs, chests, and coins. However, Premium version offers Transmog Tokens, which unlock cosmetic items, as well as Widow’s Fang Weapon Skin, which is quite impressive in certain battles.
Levels 11-20
At this stage, the quality and quantity of the rewards in the free version increase. For example, Marks of Fortune, which also grant cosmetic items and emotes, and the only artifact in this Season Pass, Crescent Wave, are also available.
Premium version’s rewards for these levels are similar in quality to those in the free version, but the nearly doubled number of Faction Tokens and Marks of Fortune make them worth the price. Of course, Phantasmal Grip Weapon Skin and Bastion of Mourning Weapon Skin are also two rewards worth your attention.
Levels 21-30
The free version still doesn’t offer any particularly attractive items. However, the additional Transmog Token and Bloodbludgeon Weapon Skin in the premium version will be worth a second look for players who love to spruce up their characters and weapons.
Levels 31-40
500 Marks of Fortune in the free version is a pretty good bonus, but again, the premium version doubles that. Plus, the premium version gives you a unique emote, Newspaper Bonk, which you can use to boost your friendship with your friends. And Crimson Barrage Weapon Skin is pretty cool.
Levels 41-50
Here, 500 New World Aeternum Coins and Territory Standing Booster in the free version are already very generous rewards for regular players, not to mention a Veteran’s Expedition Chest and Flayed Hood Helmet Skin.
But, Premium version not only doubles the coin count but also grants you a third Transmog Token, a Chromatic Seal, and the stunning Spine of the Usurped Weapon Skin, which are very beneficial in the long run.
Levels 51-60
Among these ten rewards, free version players will finally receive their first Transmog Token, along with 50 Dark Matter and more crafting materials, essential for regular exploration. Premium version doubles the amount of these important in-game currencies and also grants you a Carapace Gauntlets Armor Skin and a Wraithpiercer Weapon Skin.
Levels 61-70
Honestly, this is the level reward I least want to claim as a free-to-play player, as it doesn’t offer anything special besides a Transmog Token. However, Premium version also offers a Cat’s Paw Emote, a Territory Standing Booster, and armor skins.
Levels 71–80
Perhaps the developers realized the rewards in the previous level were too poor, so they’ve made the rewards for free players significantly more generous in this level: more Mark Matter, Marks of Fortune, and other crafting material
These make the rewards comparable in quality to those in Premium version. However, Jewelry Matrix provided by Premium version is highly auctionable - you can earn a significant amount by placing it in Auction House.
Levels 81-90
As you approach the end of the reward track, the rewards offered in both the free and premium versions become more generous, and the difficulty of unlocking them becomes easier. For the free version, only the Revenant Title is worth mentioning; for the premium version, the Transmog Token, some coins, and gear skins are no longer attractive enough.
Levels 91-100
This marks the end of Season 9 reward track, where both free and premium players can earn some valuable rewards: the free version includes Transmog Token, Armor Matrix, and Sepulchral Hood. The premium version includes Azoth Inductor, Weapon Matrix, Chromatic Seal, and sword and chest armor skins.
Overall, it’s not recommended to spend the extra money to get Premium Season Pass, as most of the items it contains are cosmetic and won’t actually benefit your exploration. However, the doubled currency offered by the premium version, such as Marks of Fortune or in-game coins, can be earned by players themselves, which isn’t difficult.
The above are some of the rewards worth noting in the two different versions of the Season Pass in the current New World Aeternum Season 9 Season of the Banner. Although the conclusion here is that the premium version is not worth your try, if you are a player who loves art and is keen on dressing up, many of the skins in it are still very good.
