Is Tomb Still Worth Farming at Level 45 in MapleStory Classic World?

In MapleStory Classic World, once you reach level 45, relying solely on low-level maps to accumulate mesos becomes increasingly inefficient.
Tomb maps in Perion - featuring high spawn rates, monsters weak to Holy-elemental attacks, and decent loot - are excellent locations to incorporate into your mid-game farming route.
The Route
Enter Excavation Site III via the portal in the top-right corner of Rocky Road III. From there, continue through the subsequent portals to reach Remains <Tomb> I, Remains <Tomb> II, and Remains <Tomb> III.
The primary targets in these maps are Skeledogs (level 44) and Mummydogs (level 47), both of which are weak to Holy-elemental damage.
These maps boast high spawn counts. Clerics can use Heal skill to damage enemies while simultaneously maintaining their own HP; once their build is more developed, they can also use Holy Arrow for efficient, targeted kills.
Ranged classes will find it easier to manage incoming damage and potion consumption.
To ensure profitability, aim to defeat enemies in one or two hits - otherwise, your potion costs may quickly eat into your earnings.
Loot Value
For Skeledogs, the main sources of profit are scrolls and level 40 Magician hats.
The scroll drops include Overall Armor STR Scroll, Cape Accuracy Scroll, Spear Attack Scroll, and One-Handed Sword Attack Scroll - all of which have a solid market in MSCW.
While One-Handed Sword Attack Scrolls are relatively inexpensive, they benefit from consistent demand.
Additionally, a level 40 Magician hat has a base value of approximately 100,000 MS Classic World mesos; if it comes with bonus Intelligence (INT) stats that are above average, the price can increase significantly.
In contrast, the loot from Mummydogs leans more toward equipment and ETC items.
The high number of kills allows you to accumulate a substantial amount of Dirty Bandage drops, while White Potions provide a reliable, supplementary source of income.
Furthermore, Mummydogs have a diverse equipment drop pool, including items such as Serpent's Tongue (level 50 spear), Arc Staff (level 45 staff), Blue Avenger, and Blue Calaf. Some of the popular equipment items here change hands very quickly.
In general, since both types of dog monsters (hounds) have a chance to drop White Potions and Cape Accuracy Scrolls, you should focus on maximizing your kill count rather than obsessing over the specific drop table of any single monster.
Remains <Tomb> I
Stick to Remains <Tomb> I - it is the most accessible map and the easiest place to find a party.
An ideal party size is 2 to 4 players (3 is optimal), with a common setup being one person covering the top level and two people handling the bottom.
Ranged classes have an advantage here, as the hounds move quite quickly.
Melee classes can certainly farm here too, though forming a three-person party in MapleStory Classic World (MSCW) will make the experience much more stable.
As mentioned earlier, the monster spawn density is very high - often too high for even two players to clear completely, which results in excellent EXP and mesos gains.
However, since party members may end up sharing the same platform, it is best to agree on how to handle loot beforehand (e.g., splitting the proceeds from high-value drops) to avoid any potential disputes later on.
Remains <Tomb> II
Unlike other maps, Remains <Tomb> II features Level 57 Skeleton Soldiers, meaning that players will need a certain level and a sufficient amount of Accuracy to handle them effectively.
Beyond the challenge posed by the monsters themselves, the map layout is somewhat awkward: there is a castle-like structure in the middle, along with an extra platform in the top-right corner.
This makes movement difficult for melee classes, and ranged attacks can easily miss their targets, making the overall pace of clearing monsters less fluid than on other maps.
On the flip side, this map is usually quite quiet in MSCW, making it a solid alternative for a small group of 2 to 3 players.
As for rewards, the drops from Skeleton Soldiers are mediocre - for instance, Pet Equip Jump Scroll is not particularly valuable.
Although there is still a chance to obtain high-quality gear - such as Serpent's Tongue - in this area, the primary source of profit here actually comes from the large number of Mummydogs.
All things considered, while Remains <Tomb> II ranks lower among our recommended maps, it remains a viable grinding spot for players who have reached level 45 or higher.
Remains <Tomb> III
Finally, we arrive at Remains <Tomb> III, which offers the highest profit potential of all.
However, since Skeleton Soldiers appear on two separate platforms, solo players will need a high level of accuracy - ideally, you should be well into your 50s. Alternatively, you can form a party with others who can handle Skeleton Soldiers efficiently.
For ranged classes, ETC items that drop on this map are enough to cover the cost of the potions you'll need.
The top platform is best suited for Assassins or Clerics; Haste skill is particularly useful given the map's length.
The bottom area can be handled by Ice/Lightning Wizards or other classes. Melee characters may find the pace a bit slower, but it is still a feasible spot for them.
In summary: Remains <Tomb> III is ideal for those seeking high returns, Remains <Tomb> I is great for stable party play, and Remains <Tomb> II serves as a solid alternative.
