Best Time to Play! Fallout 76 Roadmap 2026 Breakdown: Backwoods Update Info & March-June Event Calendar Revealed!

March to June 2026 Event Calendar

First, Fallout 76 2026 roadmap outlines the event schedule from March to June this year.

March Update: Backwoods Update & Season 24

For March update, players received the highly anticipated free Backwoods Update on March 3rd. This is the 26th major update in the series and the first core update to be released in 2026. The Backwoods Update introduces a brand-new 4-Star Legendary creature that invades Public Events and drops new exclusive 4-Star weapon/armor rewards.

In addition, Fallout 76 Season 24, titled Rip Daring and Cryptids from Beyond the Cosmos, also launched alongside Backwoods Update. This season introduces new themed CAMP items, cosmetics, and armor, and brings an adventure themed around alien creatures.

April Update: Rip Daring: Weapons Expert Extraordinaire!

The core of Fallout 76 April 2026 roadmap is a continuation of Season 24, which launched on March 3rd. Highlights include Rip Daring Mini Season, the return of Mutated Public Events, and Spooky Scorched Event.

The new Rip Daring Mini Season is actually a limited-time themed event, running from April 21st to May 5th. This event continues Rip Daring adventure story, featuring hunter-themed rewards, cryptid-focused items, and alien-themed collectibles. Players can use tickets earned through challenges to redeem exclusive rewards, with a reward mechanism similar to the main season.

Following Backwoods Update in March, April's activities remain active, focusing on seasonal challenges and accelerated rewards.

May Update: Plight of the Beezlebub

The May 2026 Fallout 76 roadmap focuses on continuing the exciting community activities from March Backwoods Update. Key events include the concluding Rip Daring Mini Season (running until May 5th), Treasure Hunter weekend, and The Big Bloom Event, as well as regularly held Scrip Surplus and Double Mutation events to keep the game active.

June Update: Upcoming Update and Season 25

The June update focuses on high-frequency limited-time events designed to maintain player activity, including multiple weekend rewards such as Double Score, Double Mutations, Scrip Surplus, and Treasure Hunter event. Highlights for June include Mutated Public Events and the return of Meat Week. These updates come after the game has flourished because of the TV series and increased player numbers.

In short, from March to June this year, players can participate in various Double Score, Double XP, and Double Mutation events every week and enjoy various rewards. Specific events will be detailed below.

Of course, while farming is in full swing, don't forget that the game will also host several limited-time sales events. Players can download unique limited-time content during these events, such as Minerva's Big Sale and Murmrgh's Special Pick. These regular events allow players to redeem equipment using scrip and gold.

While the roadmap doesn't include the official next-gen upgrade that Fallout 76 fans have been eagerly anticipating, these updates will certainly keep them busy. Given that the current roadmap only covers up to this summer, another roadmap will probably be released in the third quarter. Let's wait and see!

2026 Seasonal Events List

In addition to some major updates, each season will feature a variety of limited-time, recurring public events or community challenges. These seasonal events typically last 1-2 weeks, offering special themed rewards, unique enemy types, and attracting a large number of players. Below is a list of some seasonal events in 2026, arranged by their most recent dates. Of course, previously released events may return soon:

  • Holiday Scorched (December 16, 2025 - January 6, 2026): Players can hunt Scorched dressed in festive attire for legendary items, ammunition, and gifts. Notably, new rewards during the 2026 season include some special camp items.
  • Mothman Equinox (January 27 - February 10, 2026): Players will participate in an hourly ritual at Point Pleasant to earn themed blueprints, costumes, and XP boosts. Players must protect the ritual bonfire, defeat Cultist High Priests, and interact with Wise Mothman.
  • Fasnacht Day (February 17 - March 3, 2026): During the event, players will gather hourly in Helvetia to help Guardian Robots prepare and complete the parade. The event includes defending against robots and collecting items. Participants will receive unique themed masks and C.A.M.P. plans as rewards.
  • Invaders from Beyond (March 10 - March 24, 2026): During the event, players can team up to destroy alien ships called Brainwave Siphons at various locations throughout Appalachia. This event runs hourly, requiring players to team up to defeat waves of Zetans, drones, and commanders to earn unique alien weapon blueprints, costumes, and camp items.
  • Spooky Scorched (April 28 - May 12, 2026): Spooky Scorched in Fallout 76 is a limited-time Halloween-themed event. Special Spooky Scorched will replace regular monsters throughout Appalachia, dressed in bizarre costumes and emitting eerie sounds. These legendary enemies will drop Spooky Treat Bags, containing special themed rewards, camp items, and legendary gear.
  • The Hunt for the Treasure Hunter (May 14-18, 2026): During the event, special Treasure Hunter Mole Miners will spawn in various locations. They can be identified by their unique radio static and backpacks. Players must defeat them to obtain Mole Miner Pails, which contain rare event-exclusive rewards.
  • Meat Week (June 23-July 7, 2026): This is a two-week community-hosted barbecue extravaganza. Players can participate in Primal Cuts event every 15 minutes and Grahm's Meat Cook event every hour to win rare rewards.

Other Events

During a series of unique seasonal events, the developers clearly don't want players to stop, as they also introduce various weekly events and public events to try and fill the lives of Fallout 76 players.

Unlike the seasonal events, weekend events do not include special public events or unique enemies and typically run from Thursday to Monday. Players can earn various bonuses by participating in events, such as double XP or double gold bars, and Caps-A-Plenty event, which rewards double Fallout 76 Bottle Caps.

In addition, there are a series of public events that randomly trigger across the map approximately every 20 minutes. These events are open to any player within the event area. Since these events occur randomly, we haven't listed them here; you can check the map for event notifications.

In summary, this is a complete analysis of Fallout 76 March-June 2026 roadmap events. The second quarter is clearly going to be busy, so plan your journey now with our detailed event calendar and don't miss the double XP weekend, Minerva's Big Sale, and the chance to win exclusive 4-star weapon blueprints. Whether you're a season 1 veteran or a new fan of the series, you'll find everything you need to conquer Wasteland!
