Dune Awakening Best Base Locations: Where Can You Stay? - Early, Mid And Late Game

Posted: Jun 17, 2025 Views: 49

In the popular survival sandbox game Dune Awakening, players need to build bases on a harsh environment called Arrakis and expand their influence in the game world through battles and occupations to survive better.

With this in mind, building a suitable base and using it as your shelter is an important move to advance the entire game. But base locations with more resources, more missions and better trade wars are very popular, so you can only strike first.

Dune Awakening Best Base Locations: Where Can You Stay? - Early, Mid And Late Game

So this guide will provide you with some of the best base locations to choose from in the early, middle and late stages of your exploration of Dune Awakening, so that you have more resource hotspots and mission acquisition points in the early game, and it is easier to complete your great deeds in the middle and late stages.

Early Game

In the early stages of Dune Awakening, your main goal is to build a base that is safe from sandstorms and sandworms, and then consider whether this base can provide you with some key resources, such as Dune Awakening Solari, water, and other crafting materials.

Based on this requirement, here are some recommended locations:

Aren’s Refuge

The first one to recommend is Aren’s Refuge, located between Griffin’s Reach Trading Post and Imperial Research Station Nº2, because it contains many key Dune Awakening in-game resources that you need to pick up.

Not only that, there are many bandit camps near this rocky island, all adjacent to unique schematic chests, which will allow you to get some rare additional crafting materials from the treasure chest every 45 minutes to enhance your gear, such as blueprints.

Griffin’s Reach Trading Post

When wandering around Hagga Basin, the starting survival area, you’ll easily see the location of Griffin’s Reach Trading Post through the gathering of NPCs. This is the first NPC Hub you can find, and it contains a lot of quests to help you start your exploration journey.

However, it should be noted that most of the buildable areas near this trading post are blocked by terrain or open sand, which will limit the range of bases you can build there, which is not conducive to your ability to become stronger in Dune Awakening.

Imperial Research Station Nº2

You will unlock Imperial Research Station Nº2 after receiving Planetologist Questline. This can be a starting point for players who are keen on more favorable adventures with more hard challenges, or it can be the best base location for casual players.

First of all, there is plenty of water and Dune Awakening Solari to collect, allowing you to survive for a long time. Secondly, there are some important crafting drawings in the research station. With their help, you can upgrade some gear faster and easier to deal with higher-level battles.

Mid-Game

As you venture deeper into the game, the early bases are no longer enough to advance the game, and you need to move out and go deeper into Arrakis. But before you go to your next destination, Vermillius Gap, you need to have a Sandbike, which requires you to collect enough crafting materials in the mid-game base.

Thanks to this hidden quest, the following base building locations will be your best choice:

Anvil Trading Post

As you leave Hagga Basin and continue to explore north, you will find Anvil Trading Post on the east side of Vermillius Gap. This is a new NPC Hub that will provide you with the first quests for one of the two factions that you are required to join at the beginning of the game - Atreides or Harkonnen, which is a great help for you to increase your connection with the faction and political (economic) influence.

It also provides you with a large number of aquatic plants that can be cultivated by all players, which will make your survival easier. On top of that, it also provides you with iron and mineral resources for vehicle crafting, as well as granite for construction, which are important resources for your current exploration stage.

Northwest Ironworks

If you walk west of Vermillius Gap, you will see Northwest Ironworks, a very large rocky island with many areas for you to build bases. It is very easy to expand your base range and influence here.

But this is just one of the most unsurprising advantages of this location. The most important reason why it conquers many players is that it contains 5 schematic farming spots, which will provide you with more blueprints for making gear, advanced crafting materials in the game, and a lot of PoIs.

In addition, Northwest Ironworks also has an observation deck, which allows you to use Ornithopter to travel to other settlements. Of course, this is also the best choice for using Sandbike to travel to the northern part of Arrakis by land.

For the most important function of the base, the shelter function is also excellent here: there are many Flour Sand spots that can keep you safe from sandworm disasters.

Table Of The Gods

When you are in the mid-game exploration phase of Dune Awakening, your survival is no longer a problem. What you need to focus on is how to ensure that your base is not destroyed by other players or opponents and keep an eye on their movements.

At this time, Table of the Gods with its high terrain is very suitable for you to build a base. Here you can build a strong aerial combat team and see the general dynamics of other bases from a high altitude, so as to make the right response or occupation strategy.

In addition, here is an overview of the two late-game areas of The Sheol and The O’odham, so that you can make early farming methods for their Ornithopters, Jasmium, Spice, and a lot of Dune Awakening Solari.

In the mid-game, the sandworms in Arrakis will roam in some designated areas, but there are certain restrictions between each area. So if you see a group of sandworms flying towards your base, move to a new area in time, which will reset your character’s sandworm threat meter.

Late Game

Compared to the survival and construction requirements in the early and mid-game, your focus in the endgame should be on how to achieve the maximum expansion of the base and maximize your character’s ability with the least cost. Therefore, you need to build your final base in the following locations.

Eastern Shield Wall (Pinnacle Station Area)

You can build your late-game base near the third NPC Hub in Dune Awakening. The flat terrain and wide view here are very suitable for you to expand your base on a large scale.

In addition, this place is full of gathering points for you to collect late-game resources such as Aluminum and Basalt. Of course, survival is always throughout the game, and there are at least 20 few gathering hotspots near the middle of Eastern Shield Wall, which is very helpful for building numerous reservoirs and accumulating water for crafting.

Eastern Shield Wall (North)

Although this is close to the edge of the map, it has the advantage of a higher altitude and is also a very suitable place for you to build an aerial base. Not only that, it’s also very close to some very important late-game PoIs and schematic farming spots, such as Aluminum and Dune Awakening Solari.

Unlike Table of the Gods, this area allows you to freely enter and exit the Deep Desert, making it a strategic location for large guilds to build a base of operations. But with that comes the possibility of more PVP, because this location has so many advantages that many factions are interested in it, so there will be some conflicts.

Eastern Shield Wall (The Pillars)

You can see a lot of rock pillars rising up between Eastern Shield Wall and Hagga Rift to identify this area. The elevated platforms here not only allow you to build an indestructible base, but also provide you with rich in-game resources such as Calibrated Servok, Carbon, Erythrite, and Aluminum.

The above are the best locations for building bases in Dune Awakening for each game stage. No matter which one you choose as your base, I believe they will complete the corresponding expansion under your leadership and help you become the overlord in the game. I wish you a happy game!
