Dune Awakening 8 Weapons For Trooper: How To Deal With Different Game Modes And Enemies?
Posted: Jun 16, 2025 Views: 30
As a survival RPG, Dune: Awakening creates a world centered on the planet Arrakis that not only has a variety of different geographical environments, but also has a variety of different families and forces. The game also uses this to build a complete world view and background setting.
After you create your character, in order to ensure that your character has the ability to fight the enemy and integrate into Arrakis, you need to choose your class, and this choice is actually based on the choice of your Schools of the Imperium or mentors.
During character creation, you can choose one of the four basic classes to unlock. After entering the game, as the progress deepens, you can also meet the fifth mentor (class) and master the corresponding skills of other classes according to the advanced system.
These five classes are Swordmaster, Mentat, Bene Gesserit, Trooper and Planetologist, and each of them excels in different fields. This time we will introduce you to Trooper and the 8 weapons suitable for him to utilize.
This class has strong mobility and combat capabilities, and is good at causing damage to the enemy through explosions or heavy weapons. Therefore, the weapons suitable for Troopers are mainly guns. Some of them need to be exchanged by Dune Awakening Solari, and some may be mission rewards.
1. Shredder
- Ammo type: Light Dart
- Damage type: Regular/Bleeding
- Best utilizations: Heavy Armored Enemies
As a powerful shotgun, the scattered shrapnel released by Shredder can even penetrate Holtzmann shield to cause serious bleeding damage to the enemy.
When it is at level 6, its destructive power is the highest. If you equip it with Scattergun Damage perk on this basis, it can further cause 20% additional damage.
2. Starburst
- Ammo type: Light Darts
- Damage type: Spread/Moderate Fire Damage
- Best utilizations: Most PVE Enemies and Players in PVP
Compared to other shotguns, Starburst deals more damage, but has a shorter range and spread. Therefore, it is suitable for close-range combat against enemies without shields and Holtzman generators.
In addition, the gun can deal stackable fire damage, and since there are few equippable gear or perks in the game that can defend this damage, Starburst is actually a very good PVP weapon.
3. Arhun K-28 Lasgun
- Ammo type: Energy Generator
- Damage type: Energy
- Best utilizations: Shielded Enemies
The special thing about this gun is that it does not consume ammo directly when dealing damage, but continuously generates ammo through Holtzman shield energy field. If you are interested in it for this reason, you also need to accept the shortcomings of its slowness and bulkiness.
Fortunately, this shortcoming can actually be solved by equipping perks with agility & heavy weapon damage. Later in the battle, Arhun K-28 Lasgun can even kill enemies at a considerable distance and destroy their shields by releasing energy arrows.
4. House Burst Drillshot
- Ammo type: Heavy Darts/Charged Shot
- Damage type: Heavy Shield Break/Burrow Delayed Explosion
- Best utilizations: Light-Armored Shielded Melee Attackers
After the improvement, the gun can not only fire two bullets in a row, but also charge to fire a devastating penetrating double heavy dart to break the enemy’s shield.
It should be noted that this charging process is slow, so you’d better utilize it with other weapons at the same time, which is enough to help you deal with most battles as a Trooper.
5. Scorchbolt
- Ammo type: Incendiary Gel
- Damage type: Fire
- Best utilizations: Everything at close range
This weapon has both advantages and disadvantages, so you may want to get it, but you are afraid to utilize it too much in battle, because its ammunition craft requires Salvaged Metal and Fuel Cells, which are relatively scarce.
But on the other hand, as you already know, there are very few shields or gear in the game that can resist fire damage, and Scorchbolt is simply a flamethrower, which is so fierce that almost no one can resist it.
6. Seb’s Kisser
- Ammo type: Light Darts/ Moderate Shield Breaking
- Damage type: Kinetic/Rapid Fire
- Best utilizations: Light-Armored Shielded Melee Attackers
As a rapid-fire submachine gun, it not only has a fast recharge speed and firing rate, but also can instantly melt the shields of ordinary enemies, making them more vulnerable to attacks from your shotgun or other heavy weapons in the future.
But it is precisely because of this too fast feature that you need to always pay attention to the ammunition retention when utilizing it, and don’t consume your ammunition too early.
7. Stammershot
- Ammo type: Light Darts
- Damage type: Kinetic /Heavy Precision Damage
- Best utilizations: Ranged Opponents, Snipers, Troopers
Although Stammershot seems less impressive than other weapons, its high-precision damage, strong vertical control and low dispersion can well make up for the shortcomings of Trooper class itself.
8. Vulcan-Gau 92
- Ammo type: Heavy Dart
- Damage type: Kinetic/Rapid Fire
- Best utilizations: Mid-range PVE Enemies and PVP mode
This is a Gatling gun with an extremely fast firing rate. Despite its huge size, it has reliable crowd control potential, so it can play a strong role in large-scale PVP battles through cone-pattern barrage.
The only downside is that due to its large size, you need to hold the trigger of Vulcan-Gau 92 all the time to keep firing, which makes you more vulnerable to enemy sniping than usual, so be careful.
That’s all the information about these 8 weapons. You can craft them by obtaining blueprints, or you can exchange them directly at the merchant - provided that you can accept their advantages and disadvantages at the same time! Have fun!
