In Dune: Awakening, you’ll be able to capture parts of Arrakis and build your base from a humble shelter to a magnificent fortress, brick by brick. Everything from the foundation to the interior decorations can be customized, and you can choose the architectural style you like.

In Arrakis, the key to survival and success is building. Building has two core functions: one is to build a perfect base to show your personality, and the other is to improve your crafting ability and safely store equipment resources to enhance your strength. You can take your time freely, either building amazing wonders, creating various refineries, or of course, you can do both.

How To Build Your Base?

Dune Awakening 4 Building Tips: How To Build Your Fortress On Arrakis?

Bases need to be built on rocks instead of sand, because if they are built in the open desert, they will inevitably be destroyed by wandering sandworms. Fortunately, there is still plenty of space for you to build your base in Arrakis.

You first place a Sub-Fief Console to manage important information, such as base name, player permissions, shield status, water storage, power consumption and capacity, inventory, sandstorm, etc.

Place a Sub-Fief Console to get ownership of the surrounding land and see the outline of the buildable area. The area occupied by Sub-Fief Console cannot be expanded, but you can learn to build Advanced Sub-Fief Console to expand your territory.

Sub-Fief Consoles you can get are limited. You can only have a maximum of five bases, and when your base is built, you will need to give taxes to Empire. The more bases you have and the larger they are, the more Dune Awakening Solari you need to offer.

The bigger the base, the more functions it can carry, but in fact, the bigger the base is not the better. A larger base means you need to give more taxes and consume more electricity. And everything in your base needs electricity to operate, including the shields provided by Sub-Fief Console.

Your base is protected by shields. Without shields, it will eventually collapse and return to the sea of sand. To keep shields running, you need to ensure that the power produced by the base exceeds the power consumed. If your base is too large, you will have to focus more on fuel when you go out to search for Dune Awakening items, which will slow down your growth.

Arrange Your Lights Properly

When night falls, your base needs to be lit up. You certainly don’t want to be running around in your high-tech fortress like a vampire. But the number of lights available per base is limited. In the most basic case, you can only place 30 lights (expandable to 36).

If you place too many lights in a room, you may find that other places become dark. Two lights can illuminate your room well enough, so don’t waste them.

Dune Awakening Architecture Style

Initially, all players can use standard building materials provided by Combine Honnete Ober Advancer Mercantiles, a giant commercial monopoly that controls most of the trade rights in the known universe.

Once you have established yourself on Arrakis, acquired better equipment, learned powerful abilities from Schools of the Imperium, and gained a reputation, you can set your sights on the two major houses vying for dominance on the planet - House Atreides and House Harkonnen, and choose to be loyal to one of them.

By passing the entry trials of any house and gaining its trust, you can unlock its exclusive building style. Different factions have different styles of doing things and use different styles of building materials.

The two are not only different in appearance, but also in their architectural forms. For example, only House Atreides can build a wing-like suspended terrace, while House Harkonnen is known for its towering slanted walls, and a surveillance face protruding above the porch, always staring at people passing by.

There are two ways to get all the building materials of both factions.

  • 1. Join one faction and then betray it, and join another one.
  • 2. Find the black market merchants of this faction, who will sell the materials of the enemy faction at double Dune Awakening Solari.

Convert Your Base To A Schematic

Are you happy with your base and want to copy it somewhere else? You can always use Solido Replicator to convert your base into a schematic and save it in your inventory. When you find a suitable location, you can copy it here as long as you have enough materials.

If you want a more beautiful and well-designed base, you can also check other players’ designs in the exchange and unlock them with Dune Awakening Solari. You can also sell your base schematics. Since players need to rebuild their bases every week in Deep Desert, base schematics are very useful for building bases quickly.

The base is every player’s home, and making your home bigger and better is one satisfaction brought by this game. You only need to understand some basic knowledge, and you can build a large, beautiful, and practical base.
