Diablo 4 Season 10 Touch Of Death Spiritborn Build Mechanics And Required Items

Posted: Sep 22, 2025 Views: 41

The strongest class in Diablo 4 Season 10 is Spiritborn, boasting the best farming speed and damage this season. The strongest single-target damage build this season also comes from Spiritborn: Touch of Death Spiritborn.

This build leverages gameplay mechanics to stack multiple independent damage multipliers onto a single skill, creating a perfect resource cycle to ensure every hit is overwhelming. While the equipment requirements are extremely high, once fully built, its damage output is devastating.

Diablo 4 Season 10 Touch Of Death Spiritborn Build Mechanics And Required Items

Pros And Cons

Pros

This build was unoptimized and bugs on PTR, but it already dealt tens of trillions of damage, making it incredibly high.

Touch of Death, combined with Vortex, can quickly clear large groups of enemies and even deliver massive damage against single bosses.

The official patch fixes Gorilla's bugs and buffs several Legendary nodes it relies on, making it even more powerful than it was in PTR.

Cons

This build is highly gear-dependent. It requires several specific unique items, such as Shroud of False Death, Harmony of Evvaka, and Sunstained War-Crozier, to function. Missing any of these, especially the first two, significantly reduces the build's effectiveness or even renders it inoperable.

To reach the 275 resource cap, you'll need to search for resource cap items in various locations, such as necklaces and Paragon plates. You'll also need Diablo 4 gold and materials for tempering and Masterworking to obtain the best affixes.

Maintaining buffs across multiple skills and using potions to trigger damage increases requires practice and understanding, and it's not possible to cycle through a single skill.

Touch of Death Spiritborn requires relatively close-range damage, requiring you to maneuver to avoid certain critical skills and draw monsters together.

This build relies entirely on key late-game unique items and is definitely not suitable as a first-time build for a raid. It's best to use other transitional builds to accumulate levels and gear first.

Touch Of Death Spiritborn Mechanics

Let's discuss the core mechanics of this build. This is its most unique and powerful aspect. Typically, a skill has only one type tag, such as Core or Basic, and only benefits from the corresponding damage bonus. However, you can use multiple Diablo 4 items to add multiple tags to a skill.

  • Touch of Death: a Potency Centipede skill.
  • Poised Touch of Death: Converts it to a Core skill.
  • Rod of Kepeleke: Makes a Core skill also a Basic skill.
  • Spirit Hall: Adds Jaguar tag.
  • Harmony of Ebewaka: Adds another tag based on your Spirit Hall selection, and in this build, it's Gorilla.

This gives Touch of Death a skill with at least six skill tags: Basic, Core, Potency, Centipede, Jaguar, and Gorilla. Almost all attributes in the game that say Basic skills deal more damage, Core skills deal increased damage, etc., will be multiplied independently for this skill. The benefits of this multi-tag multiplication grow exponentially and form the basis for building extremely high damage.

This entire set is designed to maximize these mechanics and support resource recycling. Shroud of False Death grants +1 to all passive skill levels. Since this build heavily relies on damage-boosting passives, this mythic is highly beneficial. Meanwhile, Sunstained War-Crozier quadruples the damage of Potency skills.

Hesha e Kesungi significantly increases Gorilla's damage. If you chose Eagle instead of Gorilla, you can replace this item with Banished Lord's Talisman.

Chaos Perks

  • A Beast Cornered (Unique • All Classes): Consumes health to cast skills and refunds 30% of the resources consumed.
  • Crazed Brew (Legendary • All Classes): Uses Healing Potion to grant attack speed and resource cost reduction, which is then converted to damage through Rot of Keapleka.
  • Alacrity (Magic • Spiritborn): Grants attack speed, and the higher the attack speed, the higher the damage.
  • Marred Guard (Legendary • All Classes): Provides damage reduction and shielding at low health. It works in conjunction with Viscous Shield (Legendary Paragon Node), converting shielding into damage.

Touch of Death Spirit Ball is the ultimate late-game build for hardcore players seeking extreme damage, explosive stats, and complex mechanics. It's not for beginners or those who prefer a relaxed approach. If you're willing to invest significant time in obtaining specific gear and embrace challenging gameplay, the reward will be the game's ultimate combat experience.
