On the last day of the Diablo 4 beta, I did what Quinn69 failed to do. I created this extremely viable one skill in Necromancer build. We’re talking no summons, no defensive skills, no cooldowns and nothing that spends your essence. It’s just Bone Splinters, the single best basic skill in the game.
Three Reasons
Here are the top 3 reasons you should play this build: 1. Simple 2. Easy 3. Hard to die.
If you’re a minimalist, then you don’t want clutter on your skill slots. This keeps it real clean. It’s a very relaxing and easy playstyle. What I mean is if you’re a toddler or playing on a controller, you will love this build and it’s hard to die. I genuinely don’t think this character can die.

Just look at the Armor. It gets to over 3,000, which is ridiculous at level 25 considering the level 100 character Blizzard showed has about the same amount.
2nd Damage Source
Now I want to mention to you that there’s two sources of damage for this character: Bone Splinters and Thorns.
This is highly convenient as we can spend the boss fight at the end of a dungeon going through the loot we’re picked up along the way. This is very efficient and saves us seconds when we’re in town later. We actually don’t even need to use any skills at all and everything still dies. But when we start left clicking on top of that, we’re unstoppable.
To verify that the build is really simple. I invited a friend who has never played Diablo 4 to use the character Necro to complete a random dungeon. Although it was his first time playing, he got started very quickly. He easily mastered the character’s skills and killed many Demons. Even facing the boss, he said it was very easy, and even wanted to challenge a higher difficulty. In the process, he also gained a lot of Diablo 4 Gold and loot.

Build Secrets
Next up, let me explain the build secrets to this build.
The basic skill, Bone Splinters literally the first skill you get as they necro works like a shotgun. It fires three splinters and if your target is close enough, it gets hit by all of them and 30% of the time, it fires five splinters. Each having a 20% chance to make the enemies vulnerable and take more damage. Combine that with the three passives that boost Bone Skills. W’re talking 15% extra crit chance because we’re always at full Essence, 15% increased damage because we crit a lot and 18% increased critical strike damage.

On top of that, we have ridiculous Thorns, tankiness and other passive damage boosting abilities from the skill tree or gear and sacrificing our summons.
Let me show you the legendary items that can make a basic skill like Bone Splinters so busted. We deal with 47% extra damage and the attack faster since we stand. Still, we deal with 30% extra damage and we take 25% reduced damage. We get incredibly tanky from just these two items and deal even more damage when we’re up against an Elite or boss and since we crit all the time, we also run very fast.

Season of Death Awakening (July–August)
First up is Diablo 4 Season 14, which begins on June 30 and is expected to span the two hottest months of Northern Hemisphere.
Diablo 4 seasons typically last about three months, but Seasons 12 and 13 were both unusually short; together, they added up to only 111 days.
Will Season 14 return to the normal length? Given its content, Mythic 3.0 alone seems hard pressed to sustain a full three months, and the other additions are merely new bosses and enemies.
After Vessel of Hatred expansion launched, the following season, Season of Witchcraft, brought exclusive seasonal features like Witch Powers. In contrast, the new content for Season 14 feels more like a supplement to Lord of Hatred. As a result, the scale of Season 14 may also fall short of the usual seasonal expectations.
Two possible durations have been speculated for Season 14: either it will last about 60 days, from early July through the end of August, or the developers might extend it by a couple of weeks to announce Season 15 at BlizzCon, in which case Season of Death Awakening could run for roughly 75 days.
Anniversary Celebration
In June 2025, Diablo 4 held a two-week second-anniversary event. Although players criticised that event for being rather perfunctory, it still felt more substantial than the third-anniversary celebration.
The third-anniversary event lasted only one week and offered nothing new in terms of format. However, 2026 is not only Diablo 4's third anniversary but also the 30th anniversary of the entire franchise, and the developers cannot afford to overlook this milestone.
Notably, in the official blog post about the celebration, there was an intriguing line: "This week's festivities are held in honour of the 30th anniversary of the Diablo series." The post did not mention Diablo 4's third anniversary specifically, but instead focused on the franchise as a whole.
It went on to add: "More exciting content is being prepared throughout this year, and the celebration will continue." This suggests that the early June event was merely a prelude, relatively modest in scale, and that future celebrations will centre more on the 30th anniversary of Diablo rather than being limited to Diablo 4's third anniversary. We can therefore look forward to more commemorative activities and major announcements.
BlizzCon 2026 and Season 15 (September–December)
BlizzCon 2026 is undoubtedly the most critical juncture. Players of Overwatch, World of Warcraft, and Diablo are all waiting for the developers to deliver a surprise.
Johanna Faries has stated clearly in multiple interviews and various settings that BlizzCon 2026 will be the largest BlizzCon in history. Given the rumours and leaks surrounding other franchises under the same banner, this claim carries considerable credibility.
For Diablo, BlizzCon also represents the most important reveal window for the 30th-anniversary celebrations. The developers have already hinted that more anniversary-related news will be unveiled at BlizzCon. As the mainline entry in Diablo series, Diablo 4 will undoubtedly carry the heaviest announcements among them.
Season 15
If BlizzCon 2026 takes place before Season 15, then the surprise is likely tied to that season. No details have emerged yet, but the developers might suddenly unveil a new free class.
Since they intend to sustain Diablo 4 for the long term, they could very well revive some classic classes from older titles. There is precedent for this; Paladin is the most direct example. Moreover, 2026 marks the 30th anniversary of Diablo series, so any surprise is possible, even a new class.
Next Expansion Cinematic Trailer
The most probable highlight at BlizzCon is the cinematic trailer for Diablo 4's next expansion. Although some players feel that Lord of Hatred launched too recently for another major reveal, the annual expansion cadence makes this entirely plausible. The trailer would most likely only hint at the story's direction and new adventure zones or continents, without delving into specifics such as new classes or gameplay systems. Even so, it would still command the spotlight.
2027 Roadmap
Although the developers did not release a full annual roadmap for 2026 at the start of the year, they did publish a phased plan before the expansion went live. If they continue that approach, it would be reasonable to expect the 2027 roadmap to be announced at BlizzCon.
Diablo 4 Season 16 (December–February, 2027)
Season 15 will probably not be as sparse as Season 14, so that season may return to the usual three-month rhythm. Consequently, Diablo 4 Season 16 is expected to launch as early as December 2026.
In summary, Diablo 4 in 2026 holds many exciting possibilities. Whether it is a new class, a brand-new endgame system, large-scale content updates, or long-awaited quality-of-life improvements, any of these could be unveiled at BlizzCon. With the 30th-anniversary celebration in particular, the developers are likely preparing a major surprise.

Although Druid hasn't undergone massive changes for Season 14, the adjustments - buffs to some mechanics and nerfs to others - have significantly affected the class's mainstream playstyles.
Let's break down the tier list for the various Druid builds in Season 14:

Shred Druid

Thanks to stat buffs for Waxing Gibbous Unique Axe and the new mechanic allowing it to be upgraded to Mythic quality, Shred Druid build has gained even more room for optimization in Season 14.

Lightning Storm Druid
While Lightning Storm might not always be the top recommendation on its own, the series of buffs applied to Druid Storm skills in Season 14 justifies placing Lightning Storm Druid in the S Tier.
This is a well-established, mainstream Druid build. When paired with Storm Strike skill and Shard of Verathiel Unique Sword, Lightning Storm Druid becomes a formidable choice for Season 14.
A Tier
Wind Shear Druid
Wind Shear Druid falls slightly short of S Tier builds regarding AoE capability and overall utility, making A Tier a more accurate reflection of its comprehensive strength. In Season 14, if you want to get the most out of Wind Shear Druid, teaming up with a reliable partner who has strong AoE capabilities can help you achieve maximum damage output.
Early in the season, Wind Shear Druid is an excellent choice for players who are just starting out and want to level up quickly.
Boulder Druid
Equipping Dolmen Stone Unique Amulet boosts the damage and other aspects of Druid's Boulder skill. Since Dolmen Stone has received further buffs in Season 14, Boulder Druid is now firmly an A Tier build.
This is particularly notable given that many Diablo 4 items were nerfed in Season 14; Boulder Druid offers a refreshing experience in the new season.
Cataclysm Druid
Compared to Wind Shear Druid, Cataclysm Druid boasts significantly superior AoE capabilities. Even though Cataclysm cannot be activated simultaneously with Grizzly Rage, meaning it misses out on the latter's 200% damage bonus, the build remains strong enough to rank in A Tier.
Earth Spike Druid
Earth Spike Druid's damage output falls somewhere between S Tier and A Tier. However, compared to Shred Druid, it lacks mobility; this is the primary reason it fails to break into S Tier.
If you want to speed-farm in Season 14, Shred Druid is certainly the better choice. However, if you want to excel in boss fights or other encounters that don't rely heavily on area-of-effect damage, Earth Spike Druid is a solid option.
Stormclaw Druid
While Stormclaw Druid's damage output technically sits between A Tier and B Tier, it ultimately earns an A Tier ranking thanks to mobility that rivals the high-speed movement of Shred Druid.
Furthermore, its exceptional mobility and rapid skill execution allow it to rank in the upper echelon of A Tier builds.
B Tier
Wolf Companion Druid
While Wolf Companion Druid's actual damage output could potentially reach A Tier or even S Tier levels, the gameplay feels noticeably clunky and suffers from stuttering issues. Continuous nerfs to critical hit rates have made skill resets increasingly difficult, relegating Wolf Companion Druid to B Tier for Season 14.
Of course, if damage output is your primary concern, it wouldn't be unreasonable to view Wolf Companion Druid as an A Tier build.
Lacerate Druid
Lacerate is an Ultimate skill that functions independently of Grizzly Rage system and boasts the ability to be cast infinitely; in Diablo 4 Season 13, this build was capable of clearing Torment 12.
Although its overall damage output falls short of Wolf Companion Druid, it offers a much smoother gameplay experience, earning it a B Tier rating.
Pulverize Druid
In Season 13, Pulverize Druid could have been ranked between A Tier and S Tier. Unfortunately, Season 14 brought nerfs to Aspect of the Ursine Horror, meaning Druid Overpower effects no longer receive the same level of buffs or the free Earth tag. This caused Pulverize Druid's overall strength to decline, dropping it to B Tier.
Additionally, builds such as Poison Creeper Druid, Hurricane Druid, and Petrify Druid all have distinct drawbacks, generally placing them around the B Tier level as well.
It is worth noting that Grizzly Rage provides a 200% damage bonus and serves as a core supporting skill for the vast majority of builds, even though it does not exist as a standalone archetype itself.
In summary, the S Tier and A Tier builds mentioned above represent strong choices for Druids in Diablo 4 Season 14; players can confidently adopt them as their primary playstyles.
Meanwhile, the B Tier Druid builds also possess the potential to clear high Torment levels in Season 14, so players should feel free to choose based on their personal gameplay preferences.

Diablo 4 Season 14 Freeze Build Meta Got a Complete Overhaul | Signet of Pelghain Falls, Bloodless Scream Rises
Dear players, have you noticed? In Diablo 4 Season 14 adjustments released on June 23rd, the developers nerfed Signet of Pelghain, which was almost ubiquitous in Season 13. This was a core item that defined the mainstream playstyles for virtually every class.
The reason Signet of Pelghain was a cornerstone of most class builds was its theoretically unlimited damage stacking mechanism. As long as players could continuously apply Freeze effect to enemies, the longer the enemy remained frozen, the higher the damage bonus.
Even in boss fights, if we could use Freeze effect to bring the boss to an unbalanced state, we could still benefit from this damage increase.
However, in Season of Death Awakening changes, we see that the effect of Signet of Pelghain has been significantly narrowed. Now, it almost exclusively applies to pure Freeze builds.
This means that most non-freeze-based classes that rely on this equipment will directly lose this powerful damage multiplier, while those classes that rely on Freeze effect will receive an indirect buff.
Explanation of Freeze and Chill Effects
First, we must clarify the working logic of Freeze and Chill effects in Diablo 4.
Chill is a stacking status effect. Each time a player applies Chill to a target enemy, this value accumulates. Once it reaches the 100% threshold, the target is forced into a Frozen state.
For example, when we use Hemorrhage skill to apply a three-second Freeze effect to a Training Dummy, a character equipped with Penitent Greaves does not receive a damage bonus against Chill. However, once a skill with a Chill effect hits the target, the damage is immediately increased.
This shows that the damage increase mechanism of Penitent Greaves is very strict; it only recognizes Chill effects explicitly applied by skills, rather than automatically equating Frozen to Chilled.

Bugs Related to Freeze and Chill
Among Diablo 4 items and skills closely related to Freeze and Chill mechanics, there are numerous troubling anomalies.
Penitent Greaves
First, there's Penitent Greaves. While it provides a damage bonus to targets affected by Chill, it completely fails to recognize the target's Frozen state as Chilled. This means that if players rely solely on Freeze effect and lack a direct means of applying Chill, the damage-boosting affix of this item is essentially useless.
Azurewrath
Second, Azurewrath presents a more complex problem. This item's effect requires the player to deal damage to the target after it has been Freezed in order to trigger additional damage feedback.
However, this effect doesn't apply to damage-over-time abilities. Neither channeled spells nor area-of-effect damage-over-time effects will trigger Azurewrath's damage echo when Freeze effect ends.
Even more perplexing is that even though Necromancer's Cold Mages can inflict Chill on their targets and ultimately cause Frozen, the damage they deal themselves doesn't trigger Azurewrath's effect. Only Freeze effects applied by the player themselves grant the minion's damage bonus from Azurewrath.
Frostburn
Frostburn, as an item that increases damage against Freeze targets and provides Lucky Hit Chance to Freeze enemies, theoretically seems perfect for Freeze builds. However, in Diablo 4, its application suffers from severe coverage issues.
Most monsters in Diablo 4 enter a five-second control immunity state after being Freezed, during which no control effects can be applied again. This means that Frostburn's damage bonus is only effective for less than half the time in actual combat.
More importantly, in boss fights, before the boss is Staggered, it is completely immune to Freeze effects. Frostburn's damage affix is almost useless in the early stages of the boss fight.
We can anticipate that this limitation will make Frostburn's actual benefits far less appealing than its literal description suggests.
Necromancer's Soulrift Skill
Among Necromancer's class-specific skills, Soulrift's synergy with Freeze and Chill is very limited.
The skill description states that it absorbs a soul from an enemy every 0.25 seconds, and if the target is in a Frozen state, absorbing a soul triggers a shattering explosion that deals damage.
However, in actual testing, we find that throughout the entire Frozen state, regardless of how many souls Soulrift absorbs, Shatter and Explode only trigger once, completely contradicting the multiple triggering mechanism implied in the description.
Therefore, the actual combat contribution of this effect is almost negligible. Even though it can trigger Azurewrath's damage feedback as a single instance of damage, since Soulrift's primary damage source is damage over time, and this damage cannot be amplified by Azurewrath, the synergy between the two is also very limited.
Bloodless Scream
In short, among the many items and skills, Bloodless Scream lives up to expectations.
This weapon allows Darkness Skills to apply Chill effect and deals extra damage to Frozen targets and bosses. Its built-in periodic Freeze effect reliably synergizes with Signet of Pelghain and can properly trigger Azurewrath's damage feedback; all mechanisms are interconnected and function smoothly.
Therefore, we can foresee that in Diablo 4 Season 14, Bloodless Scream will probably become a core item in many Freeze builds and appear in various strategy guides.
The changes to Signet of Pelghain in Diablo 4 Season of Death Awakening have indeed opened up new possibilities for Freeze builds, and Necromancer now possesses the potential for a truly viable pure Freeze build for the first time.

Diablo 4 Season of Death Awakening Class Meta Shift: Druid and Paladin Both Buffed, Barbarians Plummet
Dear players, the official Diablo 4 announcement on June 23rd confirmed the release date for Season of Death Awakening. We'll be able to experience the new season on June 30th at 11:00 AM (Pacific Time).
Furthermore, the official announcement also confirmed buffs and nerfs for Season 14, essentially making this the final version of Season 14. All changes are permanent and not limited to the season itself. Let's take a look at these changes to items, classes, and other aspects.
Unique Items and Mythic Items Reworked
Unique Items Fixed Affixes
Initially, Diablo 4 development team planned to completely remove the fixed affixes from Unique items and make them random, but players disagreed, and the community expressed strong dissatisfaction.
Therefore, the development team has compromised, retaining two fixed affixes for all Unique and Mythic items, while other affixes remain random, but players can replace unwanted ones through enchanting.
For example, Banished Lord's Talisman will consistently provide a primary core attribute and critical hit damage multiplier; Heir of Perdition will consistently provide a primary core attribute and movement speed; and Fists of Fate will consistently provide a primary core attribute and Lucky Hit chance.

Mythic Items Mechanism
After final confirmation, Mythic can no longer be considered a separate rarity level in Diablo 4 Season 14, as it has become an attachable quality status.
Besides Unique items being able to be upgraded to Mythic items via Horadric Cube or Jeweler, all affixes added through enchanting will automatically take the maximum value, significantly reducing the randomness cost of pursuing top-tier equipment.
Targeted Crafting
Another important piece of news is that in Season 14, recipes for upgrading Unique items to Mythic items will produce items targeted to specific equipment slots.
For example, crafting a pair of Unique boots will guarantee a pair of Mythic boots, completely eliminating the previous purely random system.
However, one-handed weapons and shields share the same slot category, so Necromancers might get a Mythic Shield if they put a one-handed weapon in their inventory.
Final Class Balance Adjustments
Barbarian
As expected, Barbarians have finally received nerfs in several areas.
Challenging Shout no longer works on bosses, directly reducing Barbarians' survivability in high-level boss fights.
Additionally, Berserker's Crucible Set, currently Barbarians' strongest set, has had its damage output reduced by 20%.
Conversely, the bleed build seems to have received some compensatory buffs, as Bloodletter's Flow damage has been significantly increased, and using Rupture may trigger additional damage bonuses.
Given this, we can expect that Barbarian bleed build might finally have a place in Season 14.
Druid
Among all these nerfs, Druid is one of the biggest winners.
While Druid struggled in Season 13, Season 14 brought a significant boost to critical strike chance, dramatically increasing its damage output and turning it around.
Archdruid's Aspect and Survival Instincts also received buffs.
In Season 14 PTR, Shred Druid completed a 140-stack challenge in under six minutes, demonstrating strong potential for pushing higher levels. Considering current data, and disregarding bugs, Druid becoming the strongest class in Season 14 might not be a dream.
Paladin
Don't forget Paladin, it also received comprehensive buffs in Season of Death Awakening. Oath System, Wing Strikes, Aegis, and Seal of the Second Trumpet have all been enhanced.
Judicator Oath damage increased by 20%, from 60% to 80%, allowing Judgment Paladin to be more effective with no need to rapidly stack Judgment stacks.
Many unique Paladin items have received damage buffs, suggesting Paladin is destined for a place in Season 14!
Necromancer
While not as drastically buffed as Paladin and Druid, Necromancer's The Gloom Ward Unique Charm, Bone Graft Paragon Node, and Aspect of Serration have all received buffs, with no nerfs, which is good news.
Rogue
Some of Rogue's exclusive items, such as Way of the Blurring Blade Set and Nilfur's Narrow Eye Set, have received buffs.
If you want to experience these buffs as soon as possible, you can buy Diablo 4 items at IGGM to enhance your Season of Death Awakening experience.
However, Rogue in Season 14 PTR had a serious bug that allowed for infinite damage; it's currently unclear whether this bug has been fixed in the final version.
Sorcerer
Sorcerer received Fundamental Release and Icefall buffs, and Unstable Currents skill has also gained a diminishing returns mechanism, limiting the infinite lightning barrage playstyle.
Warlock
Warlock's Apocalypse build was nerfed in Season 14 PTR, but has now been buffed in the final version.
Soul Shards and Dread Claws have both received buffs, and Warlock's Paragon procs are more consistent, suggesting a smoother overall feel in Season of Death Awakening.
Pandemonium Ruptures
Diablo 4 Season 14 doesn't have a temporary season mechanic attached to characters; the season theme revolves around Pandemonium Ruptures.
In the new season, Pandemonium Ruptures spawn faster and have a higher monster density. Monster density on Normal difficulty will be reduced to improve the leveling experience at lower levels.
Completing these Ruptures yields more Pandemonium Fragments, a key material for upgrading Unique items to Mythic items.
Overall, the scale of the changes in Diablo 4 Season of Death Awakening has indeed exceeded our expectations. With so many major adjustments, players will need to plan ahead when upgrading items and choosing classes. We believe that players will have more diverse gameplay options in the upcoming Season 14!

Following the developer livestream, the launch time for Diablo 4 Season 14 has been confirmed for June 30 at 10:00 AM PT. Additionally, the new mechanics that drew heavy criticism during 3.1 PTR have undergone further optimization.

Complete seasonal quests
With the exception of seasons where exclusive content was cut to align with new expansions, most new Diablo 4 seasons feature their own unique questlines and mechanics; engaging with these new seasonal mechanics usually requires completing the associated quests first.
Therefore, even if the new storyline doesn't particularly interest you, you should prioritize completing these quests when Season 14 begins. They generally aren't difficult, making them an excellent source of gold and XP during the early stages of this season.
The new questline for Season of Death Awakening is titled A Gospel of Despair and begins by having you travel to Kyovashad. It guides you to uncover the secrets behind a Death Cult in Zarbinzet.
Engage with the new Pandemonium Ruptures mechanic
Once you have made sufficient progress in the questline, you will begin to encounter the new seasonal mechanic, Pandemonium Ruptures, randomly throughout the world.
These events open portals that spawn various monsters and bosses, and the rewards for defeating them typically include gold.
It is also worth noting that clearing these ruptures grants a special currency called Pandemonium Fragments, which is a required material for upgrading Uniques to Mythics using Horadric Cube.
Clear various dungeons
You are likely most familiar with Nightmare Dungeons; even in their standard form, they already provide a solid income of gold. However, for Season 14, we highly recommend farming Nightmare Dungeons that have been transformed using Sigils with Pandemonium Ruptures affix.
This approach allows you to do more than just standard combat; within Nightmare Dungeons, you can encounter and close Ruptures. Doing so unlocks extra Diablo 4 gold and Pandemonium Fragments, and offers a chance to trigger a new mini-dungeon called Deathtoll Chamber.
This single-room dungeon features a special Rupture; clearing out the enemies inside rewards you with gold, XP, and, most importantly, Superior Lair Keys.
