CoD Black Ops 6: What Are The Major Changes In The Warzone Patch Regarding Guns?
Posted: Dec 11, 2024 Views: 3004
The team behind the latest Season 1 update has published two blog posts on Call of Duty website, announcing all the changes. The first blog post covers the core features of Black Ops 6, mentioning adjustments to weapon animations, aim idle sway delay, maps and modes.
The update also makes general adjustments to the stability of the entire gaming experience, which also includes some changes to some Zombies. The December 10th BO6 update, however, really revolves around weapon balance and headshot damage.
Everyone loves buffs, and if you're a fan of Call of Duty, then you should be very happy about the recent patch that will enhance your favorite gun.
CoD Black Ops 6’s latest patch, Warzone buffs, improves a lot of weapons, especially in terms of accuracy. It's more than just making sure every bullet hits the target, which is explained in detail below.
Whether shooting from the hip or aiming through a scope, each of the buffed guns will perform better in the hands of players, allowing them to continually improve their skills. There is less recoil, less idle sway, and less movement when players are moving. This allows for a tweaked weapon balance that will undoubtedly increase the difficulty for players who rely on CoD: Black Ops 6 Bot Lobbies to quickly complete challenges.
Do these changes make the game less realistic? Maybe. But realism is clearly not a priority here. The developers are making a power fantasy game, and these changes make the game more in line with their goals.
Players will find much improved stability when turning, moving, changing postures, and shooting, especially when ADS.
Aiming Idle Switch Delay
Aiming Idle Sway Delay is a mechanism that scales the idle sway of the weapon when first entering ADS so that the initial aim point matches the crosshair positioning. The selection of these values has been improved and is consistent across all weapon categories. Sniper Rifles, which previously only scaled the initial idle sway by 50%, now fully scale.
The developers also mentioned that they will be keeping a close eye on the sniper situation. Powerful guns are fun, but getting blasted by an invisible sniper can occasionally be frustrating. If these changes make snipers too oppressive, the developers may walk them back.
New Changes To Maps And Modes
While the focus of BO6 Warzone patch remains on guns, that's obviously not the only change on the menu. There are also some minor tweaks to different game types, and some small adjustments to maps.
First up is the simple stuff, tweaking the spawn logic for the map 'Hacienda'. Also, fixed is a visual bug on Nuketown Holiday that caused a little too much green on players.
Then there are the tweaks to missions. The score limits have been increased for Domination, Kill Order, Kill Confirmed, and Team Deathmatch games. The increased score limits also apply to Confirmed and Deathmatch in the 10v10 Moshpit.
The score increases are fun when combined with weapon buffs, and you can take down enemies more easily, but you also need to kill more to win the match.
Prop Hunt has also had some minor tweaks, with all items except the oversized ones now having a movement speed buff. The round timer has also been shortened from 4 minutes to 3 minutes.
All of these changes are live now, and If you are affected by the lack of certain props in the game, you can follow IGGM Discord giveaway channel, where we will regularly post information about free props.

CoD Black Ops 6 Season 5 New Weapons And Zombies Map: What Should You Focus On?
Recently, there is more and more information about CoD Black Ops 7, which also gives you new motivation because of the expectation for the sequel after playing BO6 for nearly a year, so the recent Black Ops 6 update content is bound to be more related to BO7.
Although the delay of the launch of Season 4 Reloaded in early July caused controversy, the wonderful events it brought and the release of the news of Season 5 are enough to dilute your dissatisfaction. In particular, Season 5 will bring the last Zombies mode map.
Based on this, we will introduce you to the main information of BO6 S5, especially the new weapons and zombie maps it will bring.
Basics Of Season 5
It is expected that the season will meet you on August 7, 2025, and it may be the penultimate season of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. You can follow the frequency of the game’s season updates to infer the possible launch time of BO7.
As in the past, a new season means new gameplay, weapons, and a new season battle pass, while the focus of Season 5 is on new available weapons and zombie maps.
What Will The New Map Bring?
Based on the undisclosed voiceover and the current zombie mode content, it is expected that the new map may be named The Reckoning, and will bring a duel between the game characters Richtofen and SAM and a series of new Easter eggs.
It is worth noting that if you want to explore the map more smoothly at that time, it is best to set it as your Black Ops 6 Bot Lobbies background map at the beginning and practice to get familiar with it. In fact, doing so can also help you unlock new weapon camo by completing kills!
The Relationship Between The Old And New Zombies Maps
The new zombie map brought by Season 4 is called Janus Towers, which is closely related to Project Janus in the plot. This dangerous project not only caused the death of some major characters, but also rendered a tense atmosphere with the map.
It is expected that The Reckoning will require you to explore the winding corridors of the infected facility left behind by Janus Towers, as well as more dangerous and mysterious terrain, which also represents the connection between the two maps in terms of plot and related characters.
SAM May Appear As A Boss
All maps in CoD Black Ops 6 have exclusive Easter eggs, some of which can bring you light fun, while others may bring dangerous enemies with both risks and rewards.
It is expected that in The Reckoning, SAM may appear as the boss of the main Easter egg, which will bring a challenge to the plot of BO6 zombies mode while bringing a new narrative to Black Ops 7.
Due to the two major tasks of “the last BO6 zombie map” and “extending the sequel plot”, The Reckoning will obviously face pressure. Only if it performs well enough, you will have more expectations and confidence in the sequel.
Season 5 New Weapons
Although more specific content of Season 5 may not be announced until around July 31, in addition to the new zombie map, it is certain that it will bring new weapons mainly based on MP40, and you can utilize them to kill people in the new map!
Leaked Revolve
Among the leaked weapon information, a revolver may first attract your attention. It may be similar to the previous Python, but more specific combat performance and available Camos may have to wait until Season 5 is officially released to know.
Melee Weapons
Compared to various powerful guns, the usage rate of melee cold weapons in BO6 is not high, but it would not be bad if there is a new experience. The melee weapons that are expected to be brought by Season 5 are Brass Knuckles & Boxing Gloves that have appeared in other Call of Duty games before.
If you can get them through battle passes, etc., you can equip them in the melee weapon slot and then swing them to defeat enemies in various modes.
Possible Chainsaw Weapon
Since the known information is not comprehensive, it is difficult to say whether the new chainsaw will be a melee weapon, a modification kit, or a blueprint for an existing melee weapon. But at least it is certain that the game does intend to add some type of chainsaw.
In fact, before this, the entire CoD series has hardly added chainsaw melee weapons or independent chainsaws, so you can have strong expectations for it, and game will not let you down.
Main Weapon MP40
As a classic weapon in Call of Duty, MP40 has appeared in both Vanguard and World War II, and there is also a unique futuristic version in BO3. This time it will return again to bring a new combat experience to your BO6 Season 5.
Interestingly, you will find that in the past few seasons, Black Ops 6 has brought a lot of new returns to old weapons. This may make you wonder if this is just because the development team simply feels that new players have not played old weapons, or whether the original weapons are left more for BO7.
Although the return of old weapons can surprise fans of the entire CoD series, as a new game, the development of original weapons is more important, otherwise, even if the weapons are powerful, you will inevitably feel that there is a lack of progress.
The above is the introduction of the main content of CoD: Black Ops 6 Season 5 brought to you this time. I hope it can help you prepare for the season in advance! Thank you for reading!

CoD Black Ops 6 Rivals Event Rewards: How To Get And Utilize Them?
On May 29, Black Ops 6 brought you the exciting Season 4, including new maps, game modes, usable weapons and various rewards, allowing you to get rid of the boredom after the end of the last season.
Currently, Season 4 is about to pass the halfway point, and BO6 will launch the mid-season update Reloaded on June 26. But before that, you can actually get more rewards by playing Rivals event to help you achieve more in the second half of the fourth season!
So what rewards does Rivals Event include, and what benefits can they bring to you? Let us introduce it to you!
Rivals Event Info
The main purpose of this event is to enable you to get additional rewards by completing daily tasks or participating in regular modes. You can regard it and Black Ops Tribute event of Season 3 as the special “reward” event.
Rivals Event began at 10 a.m. Pacific time of June 19 and ends at the same time on July 3. During these two weeks, you need to complete tasks according to the event milestones to earn XP and receive rewards.
How To Participate In This Event?
To complete Rivals event, you must actively participate in Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone modes during these nearly two weeks, gradually raising the relevant milestones by accumulating XP. The higher the milestone level, the more XP you need to get, and the corresponding rewards are better.
Before you start accumulating XP, you need to choose to join either Woods (blue) or Menendez (red) faction, and then you can start completing challenges. Challenges include daily tasks and Rivals event-exclusive content.
In addition, the XP you earn will not only help you unlock rewards, but also help your faction win. If your faction wins at the end of the event, you can also receive additional rewards.
It is estimated that 622,000 XP will be required to obtain all milestone rewards, and you will also receive additional free mastery rewards after that. If you have Season 4 BlackCell Pass, you will also receive more mastery rewards - of course, this is not free.
It is worth mentioning that during the first weekend of Rivals event, that is, on June 21 and 22, the game will also hold a Double XP Weekend to help you get more XP required for the event to complete the milestone as soon as possible. Don’t miss it.
If you are really unfortunate enough to miss this small welfare event, or want to further increase the speed of event XP acquisition, you can also do it through the role of CoD Black Ops 6 Double Boost XP Tokens.
All Rivals Event Rewards
There are about 16 milestone rewards for the event, which are very rich in types and can bring many benefits to your gaming experience. Here are the specific rewards and the XP required to obtain them:

The specific function of Grim Reaper is similar to that of a semi-automatic rocket launcher. You can equip 12 rockets in Multiplayer mode and 24 rockets and a four-round rocket magazine in Zombies mode without reloading. These rockets can destroy groups of enemies and zombies with huge explosive damage.
It is worth noting that if all the ammunition of Grim Reaper is not consumed during the battle, you can put it away and switch to other weapons. But if the ammunition is consumed or you die while utilizing it, the weapon will be removed from your inventory.

CoD Black Ops 6 Essex Model 07 In Different Modes: How To Maximize The Power Of This Weapon?
As a game from the classic shooting game Call of Duty series, CoD Black Ops 6 has many weapons with different combat styles and applicable gameplay, which can help you on different occasions. The premise is that you can utilize them correctly.
After Season 4 is launched, you can finally enjoy the charm of the lever-action rifle Essex Model 07 in the game! It is also one of the strongest marksman rifles in BO6. As long as you aim at the enemy, you can kill it. The operation is very simple.
However, as you know, the loadouts of guns in the game can be adjusted and replaced. So if you don’t mind the trouble, you can bring more available builds to the weapon by self-modification, making it more radical and terrible.
How To Get Essex Model 07?
During Season 4, the game launched Ballerina event. As long as you complete the various tasks required by the event to earn 170 event tokens, you can unlock Essex Model 07 as the final reward.
The weapon has a total of 38 levels to unlock. If you want to upgrade it to the maximum level as soon as possible so that it can be utilized in all Black Ops 6 modes, you need to consume enough BO6 Double Weapon XP Tokens.
It is worth noting that the end time of Ballerina event is June 19, so you’d better hurry up. But if you are really unlucky and miss it, you can also get the weapon through Armory Unlocks later.
Essex Model 07 Build Suitable For Multiplayer
From the characteristics of the weapon itself, the advantage of Essex Model 07 is that it can kill the enemy’s upper body, especially the head, with one shot. That is to say, the higher its aiming speed and accuracy, the better it will play. For this purpose, it is recommended that you use the following attachments:
Long Barrel (Barrel)
- + Damage Range
- + 35% Damage Range
Lightweight Handguard (Underbarrel)
- + Aiming Idle Sway
- - 40% Idle Sway
Quickdraw Lever (Lever)
- + ADS Speed
- - 24% ADS Speed
Strelok Laser (Laser)
- + Hip-fire to ADS Accuracy
- You can now perform an ADS Accuracy shot at 80% of ADS animation
Rapid Fire (Fire Mod)
- + Fire Rate
- - Damage Range
- - Recoil Control
- - 15% Horizontal Recoil Control
Lightweight Handguard can reduce the idling shake of the gun, allowing it to hit the upper body of the enemy at medium and long ranges. After that, Quickdraw Lever and Strelok Laser further increase the shooting speed of the gun.
It is worth mentioning that if conditions permit, you can continue to add Long Barrel to this build, so that the effective range of Essex Model 07 can be extended to 40 meters, which can deal with enemies farther away.
Best Loadouts Matching
Both the weapon itself and its Multiplayer build have a distinct aggressive style, so the most suitable loadouts for it are:
- Enforcer (Specialty): Brings movement and health recovery speed bonus
- Scavenger (Perk): Replenish ammunition
- Hunter’s Instinct (Perk): Enhance red perks
- Slipstream (Perk): Improve mobility
- Flak Jacket (Perk Greed): Reduce explosion damage
- Ghost (Perk Greed): Increase safety in large maps
How To Craft Essex Model 07 Build In Zombie Mode?
Due to the different mechanisms of each mode, although this weapon still uses hitting the enemy’s upper body as the main attack method in Zombie Mode, the combination of each attachment in the build needs to be changed:
Suppressor (Muzzle)
- + Chance of Salvage drops duplicating
Long Barrel (Barrel)
- + Damage Range
- + 35% Damage Range
Lightweight Handguard (Underbarrel)
- + Aiming Idle Sway
- - 40% Idle Sway
Stripper Clip (Magazine)
- + Reload Quickness
- + ADS Speed
- + Sprint to Fire Speed
- - Magazine Ammo Capacity
- 6-Round Magazine
- - 5% ADS and Sprint-to-Fire Speed
- - 28% Reload Speed
Quickdraw Lever (Lever)
- + ADS Speed
- - 24% ADS Speed
Cut-Off Stock (Stock)
- + Tactical Stance Spread
- + ADS Strafe Speed
- + ADS Speed
- - 5% ADS Speed
- + 10% ADS Strafe Speed
- Tactical Stance experiences less bloom
Tactical Laser (Laser)
- Enables Tactical Stance
- Allows you to enable Tactical Stance in Alt-fire mode
7.62 NATO FMJ (Fire Mod)
- + Penetration Damage
The accuracy of Essex Model 07 in Zombies depends on your hip-fire stats, and Tactical Laser allows this. Paired with Cut-Off Stock, it can further increase your Tactical Stance accuracy.
On top of this, 7.62 NATO FMJ can maximize your single-shot damage, allowing you to clear hordes of zombies in a few shots while keeping them contained first.
Adding an optic to make aiming easier and Suppressor can spawn more salvage in combat, to raise Essex Model 07 to legendary rarity so that maximizes its usefulness. Paired with damage perks like Double Tap and Deadshot Daiquiri, it can also destroy zombies when they reach their health limit.
In general, most attachments options in Zombies mode are similar to those in Multiplayer mode. If you want, you can also add other attachments and perks to enhance your Zombies experience.
The above are the builds options for Essex Model 07 in different modes. If you already have it, why not follow the advice and make the simple modification?

With the official launch of Season 4, new weapons have also been added to the game, while other weapons have been adjusted, some enhanced, and some weakened, so the best weapons have changed. Which of them is the best weapon in Season 4? How to match them with attachments?
FFAR 1
FFAR 1 is a 5.56mm caliber assault rifle with a magazine capacity of 30 rounds in the initial state. It has the characteristics of high rate of fire and high damage. Its disadvantages are that the initial magazine capacity is not high, and the recoil is large, so it is necessary to consider these two points when matching attachments for it.
FFAR 1 is a new weapon in Season 4. Operators can get this weapon on the sixth page of the battle pass. It is one of the best weapons in Season 4, and CoD Black Ops 6 Double Boost XP Tokens to could help you upgrade it faster.

LC10
LC10 is also a submachine gun from Season 4 Battle Pass. It uses 9×19mm Parabellum, and the initial single magazine capacity is 34 rounds, and the total magazine capacity is 136 rounds.
LC10’s rate of fire is 800 rpm, which is in the middle of the pack. Its advantages are extremely good accuracy and long range, making it an extremely easy-to-handle weapon. Its biggest drawback is its slow reload speed. You can use attachments to improve its accuracy and power, as well as the magazine capacity, and reduce the frequency of reloads.
Best LC10 Build:
- Suppressor (Muzzle)
- Long Barrel (Barrel)
- Ranger Foregrip (Underbarrel)
- Extended Mag I (Magazine)
- Commando Grip (Rear Grip)
- Infiltrator Stock (Stock)
- Strelok Laser (Laser)
- Recoil Springs (Fire Mods)
C9
C9 is a reliable submachine gun, and almost all players have this gun in their warehouse. Compared with other submachine guns, C9 is very mediocre, but it also shows that it is very balanced in all aspects.
It seems that it has a slow rate of fire and average damage. But actually, it has good firepower and can suppress your enemies. Even in zombie mode, it is still reliable. All you need to do is to get used to it, and you can use CoD Black Ops 6 Bot Lobbies to get familiar with its operation.

The advantages of XM4 are its high accuracy and low recoil. In Season 4, its vertical and horizontal recoil penalties have been reduced, making this gun more reliable.

- Volzhskiy Reflex (Optic)
- Suppressor (Muzzle)
- Long Barrel (Barrel)
- Ranger Foregrip (Underbarrel)
- Extended Mag I (Magazine)
- Commando Grip (Rear Grip)
- Buffer Weight Stock (Stock)
- Strelok Laser (Laser)
AS VAL
AS VAL’s Season 4 upgrade is that its damage at medium range has increased from 18 points to 19 points, making it easier to hit headshots. But at the same time, its fatal flaw is that the initial magazine capacity is only 20, so you have to increase the magazine capacity.
Best AS VAL Build:
- Volzhskiy Reflex (Optic)
- Suppressed Long Barrel (Barrel)
- Ranger Foregrip (Underbarrel)
- Extended Mag III (Magazine)
- Commando Grip (Rear Grip)
- Balanced Stock (Stock)
- Strelok Laser (Laser)
- Recoil Springs (Fire Mods)
Ladra
Ladra is a submachine gun introduced in Season 3. Ladra has a fast rate of fire and reload speed. Its disadvantage is that it may be difficult to control because of the vertical recoil. You can improve it with attachments and practice.
Best Ladra Build:
- Suppressor (Muzzle)
- Long Barrel (Barrel)
- Ranger Foregrip (Underbarrel)
- Extended Mag II (Magazine)
- Commando Grip (Rear Grip)
- No Stock (Stock)
- Strelok Laser (Laser)
- Recoil Springs (Fire Mods)
Krig C
Single shot damage Of Krig C is very high, but the rate of fire is a bit low compared to other rifles, and Krig C has a lot of vertical recoil. You need other attachments such as a long barrel to make up for these shortcomings.
- Best Krig C Build:
- Volzhskiy Reflex (Optic)
- Compensator (Muzzle)
- Long Barrel (Barrel)
- Ranger Foregrip (Underbarrel)
- Extended Mag I (Magazine)
- Commando Grip (Rear Grip)
- Balanced Stock (Stock)
- Recoil Springs (Fire Mods)
CR-56 AMAX
CR-56 AMAX is an assault rifle from Season 3. Its recoil was increased in Season 4, so you need some attachments to reduce the recoil and maintain its stability.
- Best CR-56 AMAX Build:
- Volzhskiy Reflex (Optic)
- Compensator (Muzzle)
- Long Barrel (Barrel)
- Ranger Foregrip (Underbarrel)
- Extended Mag I (Magazine)
- Commando Grip (Rear Grip)
- Balanced Stock (Stock)
- Recoil Springs (Fire Mods)
Kilo 141
Kilo 141 is a decent rate-of-fire assault rifle, but with the Season 4 nerfs it’s a bit harder to handle because of the recoil. It does decent damage at close to medium range, so just focus on making it more maneuverable.
- Best Kilo 141 Build:
- Volzhskiy Reflex (Optic)
- Short Barrel (Barrel)
- Ranger Foregrip (Underbarrel)
- Extended Mag I (Magazine)
- Commando Grip (Rear Grip)
- Balanced Stock (Stock)
- Strelok Laser (Laser)
- Recoil Springs (Fire Mods)
Do you like using the above guns? They are the best guns in Season 4, and the higher the level of the gun, the more powerful it is. You can use CoD Black Ops 6 Boosting to upgrade their levels and save your time.

CoD Black Ops 6 Season 4 Grief Mode Return: How To Play The Mode?
Black Ops 6 Season 4 will be officially launched on May 29. It is a pity that Janus Towers seems to be still in production, but this does not mean that players who like this mode have nothing to play.
On the contrary, Season 4 Zombie mode adds some very interesting modes, which can definitely bring you a great gaming experience!
Grief Mode
Grief mode first appeared in Black Ops 2, but this mode was abandoned in the sequel. The reason may be that the map is relatively small, and it is not in the interests of developers to develop a new map specifically for this mode.
Grief Mode Gameplay
The gameplay of Grief mode is quite unique. This is a 4v4 PVP mode. Players on both sides have a base. Players need to resist zombies while causing trouble for the other players and hindering their actions. Until all the players on one side are killed, the side that still has players alive wins.
If a player dies, another teammate can revive him/her. If he/she is disturbed by other players or zombies during the resurrection process, the resurrection will fail. However, as long as your team can successfully survive three rounds of attacks, all teammates can be resurrected.
If one of the teams has a player who quits midway and the team is less than 4 people, other players can join this team before 10 rounds of monster attacks.
In this mode, players’ guns and grenades cannot cause any damage to the opponent. But you can use your body to squeeze the opponent, occupy the opponent’s must-enter path, and let the opponent be swallowed by the zombies. This is a very risky operation, because you must ensure that you have enough firepower to avoid the same fate as the opponent, so you can use CoD Black Ops Weapon XP Tokens to quickly upgrade the level of guns.
Maybe you will say that you prefer to use Wonder Weapons, but unfortunately, items such as Wonder Weapons, GobbleGums, and Wonderbar are restricted and cannot be used in this mode.
Of course, you have another way to hinder your opponent. Why is this mode called Grief? Because players will be subject to Grief debuff.
Every once in a while, an occupation zone will appear on the map. Both players need to complete their objectives within the occupation zone, otherwise they will be subject to Grief debuff. If neither player completes the objective, all surviving players will be subject to this debuff.
Here are Grief debuffs:
- Weapon Nerf: Players affected by this Grief debuff deal greatly reduced damage to zombies.
- Ammo Drain: All ammo-based weapons (including stored weapons) will experience ammo drain, and bullets or shells will continue to disappear while Grief debuff is active.
- Zombie Ambush: Elite zombies will be summoned, and their hatred will be focused on the team with Grief debuff. The opposing player needs to hold out until the timer runs out, or just kill the elite zombie.
- Weapon Carousel: The opponent player’s weapons will be randomly swapped every few seconds.
- Frozen: This debuff slows the player’s movement speed and covers the character with frost and ice.
Grief Maps
Grief mode is very fun, but in Black Ops 2, it was criticized by players for having too few maps in this mode. However, in Season 4, the developers used existing map resources and released 11 Grief maps at once!
- 1. Liberty Falls Arena: Pump & Pay, Motor Lodge, and Fuller’s Liberty Lanes
- 2. Liberty Falls Arena: Dark Aether Church, Cemetery, Hilltop
- 3. Terminus Arena 1: Bio Lab
- 4. Terminus Arena: Crab Island
- 5. Citadelle des Morts Arena: Courtyard, Ramparts, and Entrance Hall
- 6. The Tomb Arena: Dig Site, Mausoleum
- 7. The Tomb Arena: Dark Aether Nexus
- 8. Shattered Veil Arena: Garden Pond, Lower Terrace
- 9. Shattered Veil Arena: Upper Terrace, Shem’s Henge, Motor Court
- 10. Shattered Veil Arena: Mansion Foyer, Overlook, East Foyer, Library
- 11. Shattered Veil Arena: West Hallways, Southwest Balcony, Bottlery
You may know Zombies mode well, but you may not know the details of these maps. Arsenal, Pack-a-Punch, Mystery Box, Crafting Tables, Perk machines, GobbleGum machine and other items that were not originally on this map will be moved to new locations within the map.
To survive longer in Grief mode, it is necessary to know these maps. You can get the details of these maps first in CoD: Black Ops 6 Bot Lobbies and plan your escape route!
Starting Room
Grief Mode is not the only new mode in Season 4. There will be a new mode released in the middle of Season 4, Starting Room. In this mode, you will form a 4-person team with other players to face the zombies in Moon Zombies map. Turn your guns to the maximum firepower and try to survive to the end!
Abomination Challenge
Another zombie mode in Season 4. A super-powered Abomination will appear in Liberty Falls. Do everything you can to defeat it!
Season 4’s zombie mode combines PVP and PVE, which requires your weapons and operators to reach a high level to avoid being at a disadvantage. Double Boost and Weapon XP Tokens can save you a lot of time.
