ARC Raiders Renegade Performance Testing | Basic and In-game Data Compared

Various ARC Raiders items, including weapons, are categorized into different rarity levels. Generally, weapons with higher rarity levels should perform better in combat, but ARC Raiders doesn't strictly adhere to this principle.
Therefore, in actual combat, you'll find that the rarity of many players' weapons doesn't seem to perfectly match their level, and you can easily choose less conspicuous weapons, such as Renegade, if you're on a budget.
The unique aspect of this weapon is that even its basic stats displayed in the game don't fully reflect its capabilities, especially as you level up; the basic boosts don't entirely match the actual boosts you get in raids.
If you plan to use Renegade for your upcoming looting adventures, then take a look at our tests and analysis to decide whether to make it one of your main weapons.

How to obtain Renegade?
Renegade in ARC Raiders is a lever-action battle rifle with a rare rarity level. It can be obtained through looting, trading with Tian Wen (requires 21,000 coins), and crafting it yourself in the workshop.
Due to its lower rarity level, crafting Renegade doesn't require a blueprint, only upgrading the workshop to Gunsmith 3 and providing the following materials:
- 2x Advanced Mechanical Components
- 3x Medium Gun Parts
- 5x Oil
Compared to weapons of the same level, these crafting resources are not insignificant. Therefore, if you already own a Renegade, upgrading it is a good option; otherwise, other methods are better for obtaining a level 1 Renegade.
Renegade basic data analysis
This weapon can be upgraded to level 4 in the game. Its basic stats at level 1 are as follows:
- Ammo: Medium Ammo
- Magazine Size: 8
- Firing Mode: Lever-Action
- ARC Armor Penetration: Moderate
- Damage: 35
- Fire Rate: 21
- Headshot Multiplier: 2.25x
- Range: 68.8
- Stability: 85.7
- Agility: 55.8
- Stealth: 16
With each level upgrade, Renegade's durability, fire rate, and recoil recovery speed increase by the following amounts:
- Durability: +10, +20, +30
- Fire Rate: +25%, +50%, +75%
- Recoil Recovery Speed: +16.6%, +33.3%, +50%
Using medium ammunition means ARC Raiders Renegade has moderate penetration, and single-shot loading means that if your accuracy is high enough, you can kill an enemy with a single shot without needing to fill the entire magazine.
Theoretically, upgrading your weapon can increase your chances of safely extracting with loot, but considering the difficulty of actual combat, team composition, and other personalized data, whether it's worth upgrading your weapon depends on you.
Renegade I to II:
- 1x Advanced Mechanical Components
- 2x Medium Gun Parts
- At Gunsmith 1
Renegade II to III:
- 1x Advanced Mechanical Components
- 2x Medium Gun Parts
- At Gunsmith 1
Renegade III to IV:
- 2x Advanced Mechanical Components
- 2x Medium Gun Parts
- At Gunsmith 1
Renegade in-game data
First, regarding reload time, filling a magazine takes approximately 4.8 seconds, while loading a single bullet takes about 0.6 seconds. However, considering the brief weapon-raising animation before reloading, we recommend reloading the entire magazine at once.
As for spread recovery, although the official data doesn't specify this, this attribute also improves with Renegade upgrades, with recovery times of 1.53 seconds, 1.33 seconds, 1.10 seconds, and 0.90 seconds.
Based on this, your Renegade's actual recovery speed in combat will continuously improve, ultimately giving you a more accurate Renegade - even though it's already quite accurate.
Within a range of 10 to 30 meters, Renegade is very accurate, but once the distance reaches 40 meters, due to bullet spread and recoil, you might miss a few shots during continuous firing, but you can immediately re-aim and fire accurately afterward.
In terms of damage, Renegade's base damage is 35, requiring four shots to kill light targets, four shots to kill medium targets, and five shots to kill heavy targets. Based on this, Renegade also performs well with headshots.
As for the rate of fire test, assuming you have a level 4 Renegade, it can fire approximately 1.5 bullets per second on average, or about 90 bullets per minute.
Compared to most other weapons of the same level, this means you get an extra 25% rate of fire for free. However, it's important to note that increasing the rate of fire also significantly increases bullet spread.
For a level 4 Renegade, it takes approximately 0.23 seconds of extra waiting time after each shot to fully recover. Surprisingly, the time difference at level 4 is smaller than for levels 2 and 3, making upgrading Renegade to level 4 even more important.
How to choose attachments?
Renegade has three attachment slots: muzzle, magazine, and stock. For Renegade, equipping a compensator or muzzle brake to the muzzle is viable.
While it's not difficult to maintain aim with Renegade, the reduced vertical and horizontal recoil provided by these attachments means you can consistently aim at the target, ensuring higher shooting accuracy.
Alternatively, you can choose a suppressor, making it difficult for enemies to pinpoint your location even when shooting at close range. This allows you to continuously hit multiple enemies with sustained fire.
As for the magazine, a medium-capacity magazine is already quite good; there's no need to use anything beyond a level 1 magazine unless you plan to kill large, heavily armored enemies.
For the stock, it's recommended to choose Stable Stock I, which provides extra recoil recovery and spread recovery, making your shots more accurate with almost no spread.
Summary
In short, Renegade boasts a long range and extremely high accuracy, with a decent magazine capacity. While upgrades are necessary to achieve an ideal time-to-kill that surpasses ordinary weapons, it's a worthwhile and relatively easy process.
More importantly, in practical combat, the upgraded Renegade demonstrates many improvements and advantages not explicitly mentioned in official data and specifications, making it suitable for both PvP and PvE.
This means that even with only this one primary weapon, you can handle most combat situations during raids and save ammunition - provided you have good aiming skills.
The above is our theoretical and practical data analysis of Renegade, along with our recommended usage strategies. If you don't currently have a better weapon, it's definitely an option worth trying!
