ARC Raiders Snitch Scanner Farming Guide: Guaranteed Drop per Snitch, Engage from 80m for Safety

When ARC Raiders Frozen Trail launches on October 8th, Raiders will face many new and tough battles.
Faced with unknown enemies and dangers, Snitch Scanner, a tactical item that can help summon specific ARCs and turn the tide of battle, may become even more valuable than before.
A single, precise summoning of Snitch Scanner might just save your life on the new Frozen Trail map. However, to reliably acquire it, we must confront one of the game's most troublesome aerial threats: Snitch.
The Threat of Snitch
As a reconnaissance drone hovering high in the sky, while Snitch typically patrols specific areas in ARC Raiders independently and doesn't actively attack, this doesn't mean it's harmless.
Because Snitch possesses a unique informant ability, if its activity in the game is detected, it will immediately initiate a scanning process and send reinforcement signals to nearby ARC enemies.
Every Snitch you destroy guarantees a Snitch Scanner drop, which is the only reliable source of this item in the game.
Therefore, killing Snitches is guaranteed to be highly rewarding. In rare cases, you might also find Snitch Scanners among Snitch wreckage on the map, but the probability is extremely low; it's better to actively hunt them.

How to kill them efficiently?
Based on feedback from numerous ARC Raiders players, two locations are generally considered to have the highest Snitch spawn rates: Testing Annex on Dam Battlegrounds map and Abandoned Housing Project on Blue Gate map.
However, don't rush. Before heading to Testing Annex and Abandoned Housing Project, make sure you have enough ammunition and healing items, as frequent combat will deplete your supplies.
When patrolling these areas, it's recommended to maintain an engagement distance of at least 80 meters, launching surprise attacks on Snitches from a greater distance. Close-quarters combat will only trigger Snitch alert status faster, significantly reducing your reaction time. Therefore, in terms of weaponry, we should prioritize using Ferro or Anvil, which can efficiently penetrate ARC enemy armor, to penetrate Snitch's outer shell and key parts (white thrusters).
Additionally, using a high-rate-of-fire weapon to continuously suppress its thruster area can also cause Snitch to lose balance faster.
Practical experience shows that quickly destroying two of its thrusters will cause Snitch to lose balance and crash, thus preventing it from completing the full reinforcement call process.
If you don't have Ferro or Anvil, you can try using explosives to indirectly attack Snitch, but weapons with accurate aim are still the preferred choice.
Snitch's Warning Signals
Snitch's scanning beam is the most intuitive indicator of the urgency of the current battle situation in ARC Raiders. Initially, the beam is blue, indicating that it hasn't been alerted. Once it enters alert mode, the beam turns orange, indicating that it is calling for reinforcements.
If it further turns red, it means that its call for reinforcements has been successful and reinforcements are on their way.
Its reinforcements will include two Wasps and a Hornet, all heavily armed and formidable. If you're in an area without cover, you'll be easily killed by concentrated fire.
At this point, you'll usually only have a very short time to shoot down the Snitch. Therefore, it's recommended to immediately assess whether your firepower is sufficient to kill it quickly. If not, abandon the attack and organize a retreat.
Of course, a decisive retreat is often wiser than a forced fight. Preserving equipment and health will create opportunities for the next hunt.
If you can't kill Snitch before it calls for reinforcements, you can also buy ARC Raiders items from IGGM.com. Whether you need Snitch Scanner or other Epic Weapons to win battles faster and scavenge materials, we can provide it for you!
If you are a registered user, your purchases will now earn you points (for orders with a subtotal greater than $1), which can be used to redeem IGGM coupons or offset your order's cash value, according to our rules.
New customers receive 10x points on the first order (subtotal greater than $1)!
After that, it will be even more cost-effective to buy items.

The Core Use of Snitch Scanner
As mentioned earlier, Snitch Scanner possesses a unique tactical function. Specifically, this ingenious mechanism allows you to throw Snitch Scanner like a grenade, automatically summoning a swarm of ARCs (such as Wasps) to attack ARC enemies near the landing point.
This mechanism is particularly effective when clearing dense enemy groups or drawing enemy fire, but it requires precise calculation of the throwing distance.
It's important to note that although ARCs are summoned using Snitch Scanner, they may still attack you, regardless of whether they are friend or foe.
Therefore, always ensure you maintain a safe distance from the landing point to avoid being attacked.
As for excess Snitch Scanners, you can choose to recycle them for basic materials like ARC Alloy, or sell them directly to a merchant for approximately 1000 coins - not very cost-effective. Therefore, only recycle or sell them when your inventory is severely overflowing.
If you can master long-range attacks to exploit Snitch weaknesses, time your retreats effectively, and allocate Snitch Scanner usage efficiently, you'll be able to convert this rare resource into a real combat advantage in ARC Raiders.
Looking forward to October, and to your performance in ARC Raiders Frozen Trail with the help of Snitch Scanner!
