ARC Raiders Venator Guide: Best Pistol Stats, Blueprint Locations & Crafting Tips

In ARC Raiders, Venator is a popular choice because it's a versatile semi-automatic pistol that excels in close-to-medium range combat. It boasts several advantages, including high damage from its double-shot burst fire, excellent mobility because of its lightweight, and good ammunition efficiency. Especially after upgrading to Venator II or even higher levels, it becomes the weapon of choice for many players.
However, many players believe it's too powerful and disrupts game balance, as it dominates most battles, forcing other players to use it to remain competitive. Therefore, the developers had to nerf the fire rate bonus of the upgraded Venator and increase its weight. Despite this, many players still consider it one of the top-tier weapons.
So, do you have this advanced pistol in your arsenal yet? Here, we'll analyze Venator's statistics and tell you the most effective ways to obtain this powerful weapon.

Venator Stats
Despite the nerfs, Venator still boasts surprisingly high damage compared to other rare weapons. Some of the weapon's basic stats are as follows:
- Weapon Type: Pistol
- Ammo: Medium Ammo
- Magazine Size: 10
- Firing Mode: Semi-Automatic
- Special Trait: Twin Shot (fires two bullets at once)
- Damage: 18 (per projectile, total 36)
- Fire Rate: ~36.7
- Range: 48.4
- Stability: 61.3
- Agility: 76.4
- Stealth: 12
- Weight: 5.0
- Durability: 100
Venator has 4 levels, and its attributes, such as fire rate and durability, gradually improve as you invest more materials to upgrade it, although there's ongoing debate among players about whether upgrading to level 4 is worth the cost. Upgrading requires specific parts and at least Gunsmith level 1.
- Venator I to II: +22% Fire Rate, -16% Reload Time, +10 Durability.
- Venator II to III: +44% Fire Rate, -33% Reload Time, +20 Durability.
- Venator III to IV: +66% Fire Rate, -50% Reload Time, +30 Durability.

Crafting & Upgrading
However, before upgrading your weapon, you need to find at least one Venator I. Given the high rarity of this weapon, it's honestly not easy to find it as a drop during raids and missions. Considering the weapon's durability and repair costs, crafting is usually more cost-effective than blindly searching. More importantly, you can collect materials during raids, and the crafting cost is much lower.
To craft a Venator I in ARC Raiders, you first need to possess its blueprint and learn it at Gunsmith 2 workbench in your base. Finally, you will also need to collect some necessary crafting materials, including:
- 3× Advanced Mechanical Components
- 3× Medium Gun Parts
- 5× Magnet
If you want to upgrade your Venator weapon, you will need to consume additional materials, specifically:
Venator II
- 1× Venator I
- 1× Advanced Mechanical Components
- 2× Medium Gun Parts
Venator III
- 1× Venator II
- 1× Advanced Mechanical Components
- 2× Medium Gun Parts
Venator IV
- 1× Venator III
- 2× Advanced Mechanical Components
- 2× Medium Gun Parts
In terms of cost, Venator I is more expensive than other weapons, so if you already own one, you might as well upgrade it to experience the significant stat boosts.
How to obtain Venator Blueprint?
Venator blueprint is a necessary item for crafting this weapon, but it is very rare and rarely appears on the map. It usually appears randomly in some hidden areas, high-value buildings, or weapon crates.
However, the chances of finding it are higher in some specific locations.
Dam Battlegrounds
On Dam Battlegrounds map, there are many places where you can find weapon crates. Formicai Outpost area on the northeast side of the map may have a higher chance of containing the blueprint. The blueprint is in one of these crates, so be sure to search carefully to find the one you want.
However, this mainly depends on luck; you might find it on your first try, or you might need multiple attempts.
Blue Gate
Similar to Dam Battlegrounds map, Blue Gate map also has several locations where you can find these crates, and you'll need to search every crate to find the blueprint.
You can go to Headhouse and find more than two weapon crates in the underground area; or find a patrol car in the same underground area and acquire some unique loot. However, since there are no fixed spawn locations, everything depends on your luck.
Buried City
The hospital on Buried City map is also one of the possible locations for Venator blueprint drop. The hospital is located near the center of the map, right next to the library. Search all containers and bags in the hospital building, and you might find the blueprint in a bag to the left of the door.
However, I must emphasize that none of the above locations guarantee a 100% blueprint drop. But if you don't want to be stuck with completely random drop rates, there's a better way: buy ARC Raiders Venator blueprint from IGGM. You don't need to spend more time aimlessly exploring the map and filling your gaming life with frustration.
How to collect all materials?
Now that you have the blueprint, let's see how to gather all the materials!
Advanced Mechanical Components
In all ARC Raiders maps, Advanced Mechanical Components can be found in any location containing mechanical loot. As the name suggests, they are harder to find than ordinary Mechanical Components. Therefore, you should go to areas with higher loot value to scavenge.
The best location is Checkpoint in the center of Blue Gate map. There, you will find a large number of abandoned cars and equipment boxes that you can scavenge. However, be careful of other looters, as there isn't much cover to protect you from gunfire.
If you want to further increase your chances of finding Advanced Mechanical Components, you can also wait for Night Raid map modifier to be active, which will significantly increase the value of all loot, but the risk will also increase.
In addition, you can also upgrade your Refiner to level 2 and combine Mechanical Components and Steel Springs to craft Advanced Mechanical Components. So, obtaining 3 or more of this material is not difficult.
Medium Gun Parts
Like most other items, Medium Gun Parts spawn randomly in various locations on the map. However, there are some reliable ways to obtain these parts without relying on random drops.
For scavenging, the best method is to look for them in high-value loot areas, including Pilgrim's Peak in Blue Gate map and Hydroponic Dam Complex on Dam Battlegrounds map. Killing and looting ARC enemies in these areas may yield some Medium Gun Parts.
Alternatively, you can go to Traders tab and find Celeste. She sells 3 Medium Gun Parts daily, each costing 15 seeds. This is a reliable way to obtain the parts, provided you have enough seeds to pay the merchant.
Finally, if you have the blueprint, crafting the part by consuming 4 Simple Gun Parts at Refiner is also a good option. However, this requires your crafting station to be at level 2.
Magnet
Finally, to craft Venator, you will also need 5 Magnets. It's worth noting that subsequent upgrades to Venator do not require Magnets, so this shouldn't be too difficult for you.
To obtain Magnets, you can focus on looting the red lockers in Rocket Assembly building on Spaceport map, where the drop rate is high; or check the rooms with desks and computers in Stella Montis Assembly Workshops, which usually contain many Magnets.
You can also obtain them from Celeste for seeds; or by recycling items such as Industrial Magnets found in Field Depots.
Once you have gathered all the materials, head to your Gunsmith 2 Station to craft Venator I! If you have sufficient resources, you can continue upgrading this semi-automatic pistol to maximize its powerful armor-piercing capabilities and rate of fire.
