As you know, ARC Raiders is a PvPvE game, meaning that in each timed challenge, you'll encounter both real players and pre-set ARC bots.

Real players are highly unpredictable; you can't develop tactics for every opponent, so you can only maximize your PvP skills. However, against the limited types of bots, you can prepare for each one in advance.

All ARC enemies can be broadly categorized into normal and boss types. Bosses typically have higher firepower and defense, while normal bots each have their own strengths and weaknesses, and they are more troublesome when they appear in groups.

Below, we'll list all the types of ARC bots and explain how to more effectively defeat or avoid them.

ARC Raiders All PvE Enemy Types Explained | How To Defeat Them?

1. Wasp

As the most common PvE enemy type in ARC Raiders, Wasps can inflict massive damage in a short time with their extremely fast firepower, especially if you don't have enough defensive gear or cover, and if they appear in groups.

Fortunately, they are also easy to kill. Regardless of the weapon you use, hitting any of the thrusters on a Wasp's armor will cause it to lose control and crash.

2. Hornet

Hornet can be seen as an advanced version of Wasp. It can output electrical energy, causing damage while simultaneously disrupting you, making you more vulnerable to subsequent attacks.

To deal with a Hornet, you need to hit one more thruster than you would a single Wasp. Those located at the front of Hornet's torso are harder to hit, requiring precise timing and angle.

3. Snitch

This robot is like a sentinel among ARC PvE enemies. It uses laser scanning to track you, and once it finds you, it summons other robots to attack you.

To prevent it from signaling and escalating the battle, you need to shoot the three armor plates on its abdomen immediately after spotting Snitch to knock it off.

4. Fireball

This enemy will usually quickly pursue and surround you while you are scavenging for supplies on the surface, using fire to damage you. How to deal with Fireballs depends on your weapon:

Heavy weapons: Shoot immediately; a few bullets will kill it.

Light weapons: Since ammunition is difficult to break Fireball's outer shell, you need to wait until the enemy exposes its core before shooting to avoid wasting ammo.

5. Pop

Pops are similar to Fireballs, but they are faster and explode to deal damage. Therefore, if they appear in groups, the damage can be unpredictable and deadly.

To eliminate Pop swarms without wasting ammo, you need to find cover before they get close, then time your shots carefully to kill one with each shot.

6. Tick

This enemy type is small, fast, and agile, often appearing inside buildings in a spider-like form. The trouble with Ticks isn't their individual damage output, but rather their ability to swarm and attack you.

This attack pattern, combined with their high movement speed, makes it difficult to eliminate these annoying bugs with guns. Therefore, the best way to deal with them is to eliminate them all at once with other melee weapons.

7. Turret

This robot will appear in all the rooms you unlock within a building. It will continuously scan the room with a blue light; if you enter the blue light's range, it will be detected, then the blue light will turn red, causing Turret to attack you.

Compared to other enemies, Turret's attacks are easy to dodge. Simply move nimbly to ensure you don't enter the blue light's range, then find a concealed angle to shoot it down.

8. Sentinel

Sentinel's mechanics are basically the same as Turret's, but it appears more outdoors and has superior firepower and range.

Therefore, to avoid Sentinel's attacks, you need to avoid its line of sight and ideally approach it from behind, using heavy weapons or explosive throwables to kill it, as low-powered weapons will consume more time.

9. Leaper

From this enemy onwards, you'll enter the realm of true ARC Raiders bosses! If you encounter Leaper or any of the other enemies introduced below, you must be vigilant and ensure your gear is powerful enough.

As its name suggests, Leaper excels at jumping, allowing it to quickly close the distance and attack you. If you approach it, Leaper can unleash short-range shockwaves that damage you.

While this robot is powerful, it has fatal weaknesses: its legs and face. Especially if you hit its legs, its massive body will struggle to stand, significantly reducing its mobility and stability.

Therefore, the best strategy for attacking Leaper is to take cover in buildings with doors, preventing it from jumping close, and then, together with your teammates, use heavy weapons to focus fire on the same leg. Once it falls, concentrate your attacks on its face.

10. Rocketeer

This flying robot continuously fires rockets that deal both primary and splash damage, creating a difficult-to-avoid AoE attack.

To shoot it down, first find concealed cover on the ground, then aim at the armor plates of its thrusters. Use heavy weapons or grenades to shoot inside first, and then attack its entire body once its defenses are lowered.

11. Bastion

This enemy typically appears in open areas of different maps, attacking with rapid machine gun fire. Fortunately, its massive size makes it easy to spot and counter.

Once you find cover, aim at the yellow spots on Bastion's legs from a suitable angle to quickly incapacitate it, then focus fire with your teammates to finish it off.

12. Bombardier

While Bombardier looks similar to Bastion, it is far more lethal and has a scout that can assist it. Being spotted by the scout increases the chance of Bombardier hitting you.

Therefore, to safely kill Bombardier, first disable its detection system, then, like with other large robots, destroy its legs to incapacitate it. After that, focus your attacks on its weak points to eliminate it.

13. Queen

As the most dangerous and largest PvE enemy in the game, Queen only appears on Harvester map. While this means you can easily avoid it, you'll inevitably have to face it sooner or later to unlock more content.

Mechanically, the strategy for dealing with Queen and other large ARC robots is largely the same, but Queen's abilities - both in terms of damage and attack range - are unmatched by other enemies, and it can also summon additional reinforcements.

Therefore, to ensure a successful encounter, you'll need to level up your character to the maximum level, equip the best and most powerful gear, and enter the relevant map in a squad of at least three.

This concludes the overview of all PvE enemy types you might encounter in ARC Raiders. The development team anticipates adding more enemy types as the game progresses, so stay tuned!
